इहेव शृण्व एषां कशा हस्तेषु यद्वदान् । नि यामं चित्रमृञ्जते ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मरुद्गणों के हाथों में चाबुक है. उन चाबुकों से जो आवाज होती है, वह हमें सुनाई देती है. ये आवाजें (ध्वनियां) युद्ध में अनेक प्रकार की वीरता प्रदर्शित करती हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
The deserters have a whip in their hands. We hear the sound from those whips. These voices (sounds) display many types of bravery in war. (1)
इम उ त्वा वि चक्षते सखाय इन्द्र सोमिनः । पुष्टावन्तो यथा पशुम् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! यजमान हाथों में सोमरस ले कर आप की ओर उसी तरह एकाग्रचित्त हो कर देख रहे हैं, जैसे पशु पालक घास हाथ में ले कर प्रेम भाव से पशु की ओर देखता है. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! The host is looking at you with somersas in his hands, just as the cattle keeper looks at the animal with love with grass in his hand. (2)
समस्य मन्यवे विशो विश्वा नमन्त कृष्टयः । समुद्रायेव सिन्धवः ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! सारी प्रजा (जनता) नम्रतापूर्वक वैसे ही आकर्षित हो रही है, जैसे समुद्र की ओर जाने वाली नदियां. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! All the people are humbly attracted just as the rivers leading to the sea. (3)
देवानामिदवो महत्तदा वृणीमहे वयम् । वृष्णामस्मभ्यमूतये ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे देवताओ! आप का संरक्षण पूजनीय व महान है. आप सारी इच्छाओं को पूरा करते हैं. यह संरक्षण हमारे लिए धन रूप है. हम अपने संरक्षण के लिए आप से चारों ओर से (सब ओर से) प्रार्थना करते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
O gods! Your protection is revered and great. You fulfill all desires. This protection is a form of wealth for us. We pray to you from all sides (from all sides) for your protection. (4)
सोमानाँ स्वरणं कृणुहि ब्रह्मणस्पते । कक्षीवन्तं य औशिजः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ब्रह्मणस्पति! आप सोम यज्ञ करने वाले उशिज के पुत्र कक्षीवान को प्रकाशित करने की कृपा कीजिए. (५)
EN English Translation
O Brahmanaspati! Please illuminate The Chamber, the son of Usija, who performed the Soma Yagya. (5)
बोधन्मना इदस्तु नो वृत्रहा भूर्यासुतिः । शृणोतु शक्र आशिषम् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप वृत्र नामक राक्षस को मारने वाले हैं. आप के लिए बहुत से लोग सोमरस तैयार करते हैं. आप हमेशा हमारे मनोरथों को जानने वाले हैं. आप युद्ध में शन्रुओं का नाश करने वाले हैं. आप सामर्थ्यवान हैं. कृपया आप हमारी स्तुति सुनिए. (६)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are going to kill a monster called Vritra. Many people prepare somers for you. You are always going to know our desires. You are going to destroy the saints in war. You are powerful. Please listen to our praise. (6)
अद्य नो देव सवितः प्रजावत्सावीः सौभगम् । परा दुःष्वप्न्यँ सुव ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सूर्य! आप हमें पुत्रपौत्रं सहित धन प्रदान कीजिए. गरीबी बुरे सपने की तरह दुःखदायी है. आप उसे दूर कीजिए. (७)
EN English Translation
O sun! You give us money with sons and grandsons. Poverty is as painful as a nightmare. You remove it. (7)
क्वा३स्य वृषभो युवा तुविग्रीवो अनानतः । ब्रह्मा कस्तँ सपर्यति ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप समर्थ व युवा हैं. आप इच्छाएं पूरी करने वाले हैं. आप बलवान हैं. आप किसी के सामने झुकने वाले नहीं हैं. आप कहां हैं? इस समय कौन ज्ञानी आप की पूजा कर रहा है? (८)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are capable and young. You are going to fulfill your wishes. You are strong. You are not going to bow down to anyone. Where are you? Who is worshiping you wise at this time? (8)
उपह्वरे गिरीणाँ सङ्गमे च नदीनाम् । धिया विप्रो अजायत ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पर्वतों पर और नदियों के संगम पर बुद्धि से की हुई प्रार्थना को सुनने के लिए बुद्धिमान इंद्र प्रकट होते हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
Wise Indra appears to listen to the prayers made by the intellect on the mountains and at the confluence of the rivers. (9)
प्र सम्राजं चर्षणीनामिन्द्रँ स्तोता नव्यं गीर्भिः । नरं नृषाहं मँहिष्ठम् ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मनुष्यों में इंद्र भली प्रकार प्रकाशित हैं. वे स्तुति करने योग्य हैं. शत्रुओं को जीतने वाले हैं. हम उन महान इंद्र की स्तुति करते हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
Indra is well published in humans. They are praiseworthy. Enemies are going to win. We praise those great Indras. (10)
