प्रास्य धारा अक्षरन्वृष्णः सुतस्यौजसा । देवाँ अनु प्रभूषतः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप का रस बलवर्द्धक है. देवताओं पर अनुकूल प्रभाव डालने वाला है सोमरस की धाराएं वेगवती व द्रोणकलश में सुशोभित हो रही हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O Mon! Your juice is strong. The streams of Someras are adorned in Vegvati and Dronalash, which is going to have a favorable effect on the gods. (1)
सप्तिं मृजन्ति वेधसो गृणन्तः कारवो गिरा । ज्योतिर्जज्ञानमुक्थ्यम् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप प्रकाशमान, उपासना के योग्य, अश्व के समान वेगशाली और विद्वान् हैं. अध्वर्युगण (पुरोहित) वाणीमय प्रार्थनाओं से सोमरस को परिष्कृत करते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are light, worthy of worship, as fast as an horse and learned. Adhvaryugana (priests) refine someras with speech prayers. (2)
सुषहा सोम तानि ते पुनानाय प्रभूवसो । वर्धा समुद्रमुक्थ्यम् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप धनवान, उपासना के योग्य, पवित्र, बहुत शक्तिशाली हैं और रक्षक हैं. आप समुद्र के समान इस पात्र को भर देने की कृपा कीजिए. (३)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are rich, worthy of worship, holy, very powerful and protector. Please fill this vessel like the sea. (3)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप मौसम के अनुसार बढ़ोतरी पाते हैं. आप यज्ञ जैसे कामों से बढ़ोतरी पाते हैं. आप बुद्धिमान और ज्ञानी हैं. हम आप की उपासना करते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You get an increase according to the season. You get increase from works like yajna. You are intelligent and knowledgeable. We worship you. (4)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप महान व बलवान हैं. सदाचारी पुरुष के पास जैसे कल्याण हेतु जाया जाता है, वैसे ही हमारी वाणीमय प्रार्थनाएं आप के पास पहुंचती हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are great and strong. Just as we go to a virtuous man for welfare, our speechless prayers reach you. (5)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! राजपथ से जैसे दूसरे पथ मिलते हैं, वैसे ही आप से भांतिभांति के दान अनुदान प्राप्त होते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Just as other paths meet from Rajpath, you receive donation grants of various types. (6)
आ त्वा रथं यथोतये सुम्नाय वर्त्तयामसि । तुविकूर्मिमृतीषहमिन्द्रं शविष्ठ सत्पतिम् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप अच्छे मन वाले हैं. आप सत्पति हैं. आप श्रेष्ठ मार्गगामी हैं. हम सुख और कल्याण के लिए उसी प्रकार आप की उपासना करते हैं, जिस प्रकार रथ की परिक्रमा की जाती है. (७)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are good-minded. You are the satpati. You are the best guide. We worship you for happiness and welfare in the same way as the chariot is circumambulated. (7)
तुविशुष्म तुविक्रतो शचीवो विश्वया मते । आ पप्राथ महित्वना ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप महिमाशाली व शक्तिशाली हैं. आप श्रेष्ठ कर्म करने वाले और समस्त विश्व में व्याप्त हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are glorious and powerful. You are the one who does the best deeds and pervades the whole world. (8)
यस्य ते महिना महः परि ज्मायन्तमीयतुः । हस्ता वज्रँ हिरण्ययम् ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप अपने हाथ में स्वर्णमय वज्र धारण करते हैं. आप की महिमा अनंत है. (९)

O Indra! You wear a golden thunderbolt in your hand. Your glory is infinite. (9)
आ यः पुरं नार्मिणीमदीदेदत्यः कविर्नभन्यो३ नार्व । सूरो न रुरुक्वाञ्छतात्मा ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप सूर्य के समान प्रकाशमान हैं. यजमान यज्ञवेदी बनाते हैं. आप उन यज्ञवेदियों को प्रज्वलित करते हैं. आप वेगवान घोड़े की तरह हैं. वायु की भांति गतिशील हैं. आप दूरदर्शी और अनेक रूपों में सुशोभित होते हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are as bright as the sun. The hosts make the yagyavedi. You ignite those yajnavedis. You are like a fast horse. They are as dynamic as air. You are visionary and adorned in many forms. (10)
अभि द्विजन्मा त्री रोचनानि विश्वा रजाँसि शुशुचनो अस्थात् । होता यजिष्ठो अपाँ सधस्थे ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप पृथ्वीलोक, अंतरिक्षलोक और स्वर्गलोक तीनों को प्रकाशित करते हैं. आप देवताओं को बुलाने वाले हैं. आप जल में बड़वानल के रूप में विराजमान रहते हैं. आप यज्ञस्थान में यज्ञाग्नि के रूप में सुशोभित होते हैं. (११)
EN English Translation
O agni! You illuminate earth, space and heaven. You are going to call the gods. You sit in the water as a badvanal. You are adorned as a yajnaagni in the yajnasthan. (11)
अयँ स होता यो द्विजन्मा विश्वा दधे वार्याणि श्रवस्या । मर्तो यो अस्मै सुतुको ददाश ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! जो द्विजन्मा है (ब्राह्मण), जो वीर हैं, जो जग के धारक हैं, वे यजमान अग्नि का आह्वान करने वाले हैं. अग्नि यजमानों को श्रेष्ठ संतान प्रदान करते हैं. (१२)
EN English Translation
O agni! Those who are dwijnama (Brahmins), those who are heroes, who are the holders of the world, they are the ones who invoke the host agni. Agni provides superior children to the hosts. (12)
अग्ने तमद्याष्वं न स्तोमैः क्रतुं न भद्रँ हृदिस्पृषम् । ऋध्यामा त ओहैः ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप इंद्र को उसी तरह हवि पहुंचाते हैं जैसे उन के घोड़े उन्हें निर्धारित स्थान पर पहुंचाते हैं. आप वैसे ही हमारा कल्याण करते हैं, जैसे यज्ञ हमारा कल्याण करते हैं. आप हृदयग्राही हैं. हम उपासना और प्रार्थनाओं से आप को भजते हैं. (१३)
EN English Translation
O agni! You convey to Indra in the same way as his horses take him to the designated place. You do our welfare just as yajnas do our welfare. You are a heart seeker. We worship you with worship and prayers. (13)
अधा ह्यग्ने क्रतोर्भद्रस्य दक्षस्य साधोः । रथीरृतस्य बृहतो बभूथ ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप बल की बढ़ोतरी करने वाले, कल्याणकारी, मनोकामना पूरक हैं और ऋत् (सत्य) स्वरूप हैं. आप यज्ञ के मुख्य कर्ताधर्ता हैं. (१४)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are a force-enhancing, benefactor, a complement to desires and are the form of truth. You are the main doer of the yajna. (14)
एभिर्नो अर्कैर्भवा नो अर्वाङ्क्स्वा३र्ण ज्योतिः । अग्ने विश्वेभिः सुमना अनीकैः ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप सुमन (अच्छे मन वाले) और सूर्य की तरह ज्योतिमान हैं. आप सभी पूजनीय देवों के साथ हमारे यज्ञ में पधारने की कृपा कीजिए. (१५)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are as bright as Suman (good-minded) and Surya. Please come to our yagya with all of you revered gods. (15)
