सत्यमित्था वृषेदसि वृषजूतिर्नोऽविता । वृषा ह्युग्र शृण्विषे परावति वृषो अर्वावति श्रुतः ॥ (१)

हे इंद्र! निश्चय ही आप वीर व मनोकामना पूरी करने वाले हैं. सोम यज्ञ करने वाले यजमानों ने अपनी रक्षा के लिए आप को बुलाया है. आप हमारी रक्षा कीजिए. आप की प्रसिद्धि पास भी है और बहुत दूरदूर तक भी फैली हुई है. (१)

O Indra! Surely you are brave and fulfilling your wishes. The hosts performing som yajna have called you to protect themselves. You protect us. Your fame is also nearby and extends far and wide. (1)
यो राजा चर्षणीनां याता रथेभिरध्रिगुः । विश्वासां तरुता पृतनानां ज्येष्ठं यो वृत्रहा गृणे ॥ (१)

हे इंद्र! आप मनुष्यों के राजा हैं. आप के रथ की गति की कोई भी बराबरी नहीं कर सकता है. आप शत्रुओं की सेना और वृत्रासुर को मारने वाले हैं. हम सर्वश्रेष्ठ इंद्र की स्तुति करते हैं. (१)

O Indra! You are the king of men. No one can match the speed of your chariot. You are going to kill the army of enemies and Vritrasura. We praise the best Indra. (1)
इत ऊती वो अजरं प्रहेतारमप्रहितम् । आशुं जेतारँ हेतारँ रथीतममतूर्तं तुग्रियावृधम् ॥ (१)

हे इंद्र! आप बूढ़े नहीं होते. आप शत्रुओं को मारने वाले हैं. आप जल्दी विजय पाने वाले हैं. आप बहुत तेज गति वाले हैं. आप जल्दी यज्ञ में जाने वाले हैं. आप अच्छे रथ चलाने वाले हैं. आप जल को बढ़ाने वाले हैं. हे यजमानो! ऐसे इंद्र को आप अपनी रक्षा के लिए बुलाइए. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are not old. You are going to kill enemies. You are going to win soon. You are very fast paced. You are going to go to the yagna soon. You are going to drive good chariots. You are going to increase water. O hosts! Call such Indra to protect you. (1)
इम इन्द्राय सुन्विरे सोमासो दध्याशिरः । ताँ आ मदाय वज्रहस्त पीतये हरिभ्यां याह्योक आ ॥ (१)

हे इंद्र! आप वज्र धारण करने वाले हैं. आप दही मिला कर तैयार किए गए इस सोमरस को पीने के लिए अपने घोड़ों से यज्ञ मंडप में पधारिए. (१)

O Indra! You are going to wear thunderbolts. You come to the Yagya Mandap with your horses to drink this someras prepared by mixing curd. (1)
प्रत्यु अदर्श्यायत्यू३च्छन्ती दुहिता दिवः । अपो मही वृणुते चक्षुषा तमो ज्योतिष्कृणोति सूनरि ॥ (१)

अंधेरे को दूर कर के आती हुई सूर्य की पुत्री उषा सब को दिखाई दे रही है. वह अपने प्रकाश से घनघोर अंधेरे को दूर कर देती है. (१)
EN English Translation
Usha, the daughter of the sun, is visible to everyone, coming away from the darkness. She removes the dark darkness with her light. (1)
असावि देवं गोऋजीकमन्धो न्यस्मिन्निन्द्रो जनुषेमुवोच । बोधामसि त्वा हर्यश्व यज्ञैर्बोधा न स्तोममन्धसो मदेषु ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम ने तेजस्वी गाय के दूध से सोमरस तैयार किया है. ऐसा सोमरस इंद्र को स्वभाव से ही बहुत पसंद आता है. आप इस सोमरस को पी कर मस्त हो जाइए, प्रसन्न हो जाइए. हमारी प्रार्थनाओं पर खासतौर से ध्यान देने की कृपा कीजिए. (१)
EN English Translation
We have prepared somers from the milk of the stunning cow. Such somersa indra likes very much by nature. You drink this someras and get cool, be happy. Please pay special attention to our prayers. (1)
अव द्रप्सो अँशुमतीमतिष्ठदीयानः कृष्णो दशभिः सहस्रैः । आवत्तमिन्द्रः शच्या धमन्तमप स्नीहितिं नृमणा अधद्राः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र सभी को प्रिय हैं. उन्होंने शत्रुओं द्वारा आक्रमण किए जाने पर उन पर फिर से आक्रमण कर के उन की सेना को हरा दिया. उन्होंने कृष्णासुर को भी हराया. कृष्णासुर बहुत तीब्र गति वाला था. उस ने दस हजार सैनिकों को साथ ले कर उन पर हमला किया था. कृष्णासुर सभी के लिए दुःखदायक था. अंशुमती (नदी) के तट पर उस ने सभी को (आकृष्ट कर के) अपने चंगुल में फंसा लिया था. उन्होंने इतने शक्तिमान कृष्णासुर को भी हरा दिया. EN English Translation
Indra is dear to all. When attacked by the enemies, he attacked them again and defeated his army. He also defeated Krishnasur. Krishnasur was very sharp. He took ten thousand soldiers along and attacked them. Krishnasur was sad for everyone. On the banks of the Anshumati (river), he had trapped everyone (by attracting) in his clutches. He also defeated so powerful Krishnasur. (1)
त्यमू षु वाजिनं देवजूतँ सहोवानं तरुतारँ रथानाम् । अरिष्टनेमिं पृतनाजमाशुँ स्वस्तये तार्क्ष्यमिहा हुवेम ॥ (१)

हे यजमानो! हम अपने कल्याण के लिए ताक्ष्य (गरुड़) का आह्वान करते हैं. वे देवदूत और बलवान हैं. वे युद्धों में हमारा भला कर सकते हैं. वे शत्रुजित् व अबाध गति वाले हैं. वे बहुत तेज गति से उड़ने में समर्थ हैं. (१)

O hosts! We invoke Takshya (Garuda) for our welfare. They are angels and strong. They can do us good in wars. They are hostile and uninhibited. They are capable of flying at a very fast speed. (1)
गायन्ति त्वा गायत्रिणोऽर्चन्त्यर्कमर्किणः । ब्रह्माणस्त्वा शतक्रत उद्वँशमिव येमिरे ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप सैकड़ों कर्म करने वाले हैं. गाने वाले आप के गुण गाते हैं. मंत्रों से आप का आह्वान करते हैं. ब्रह्मा नामक ऋत्विक् वैसे ही स्वर साध कर आप की उपासना करते हैं, जैसे बांस के ऊपर नट अपनेआप को साधते हैं. (१)

O Indra! You are going to do hundreds of deeds. The singers sing your qualities. Invoke you with mantras. A ritvik named Brahma worships you by maintaining the same tone, just as the nuts on the bamboo themselves. (1)
अभि त्वा शूर नोनुमोऽदुग्धा इव धेनवः । ईशानमस्य जगतः स्वर्दृशमीशानमिन्द्र तस्थुषः ॥ (१)

हे इंद्र! आप इस जग के व जड़चेतन के स्वामी हैं. आप सब कुछ देख सकते हैं. जैसे थनों में दूध लिए गाएं बछड़ों के पास जाने के लिए उतावली रहती हैं, वैसे ही हम उतावले हो कर आप को प्रणाम करते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are the master of this world and the root consciousness. You can see everything. Just as cows with milk in the udders are eager to go to the calves, we bow down to you in a hurry. (1)
न किष्टं कर्मणा नशद्यश्चकार सदावृधम् । इन्द्रं न यज्ञैर्विश्वगूर्तमृभ्वसमधृष्टं धृष्णुमोजसा ॥ (१)

हे यजमानो! इंद्र सदा उन्नतिशील व समृद्ध हैं. वे सब से पूजित और महान बलशाली हैं. किसी से नहीं दबने वाले व शत्रुनाशक हैं. जो यज्ञ से इंद्र को अपने अनुकूल बना लेता है, उसे कोई भी नहीं दबा सकता है. (१)
EN English Translation
O hosts! Indra is always progressive and prosperous. They are the most revered and great mighty. They are not suppressed by anyone and are hostile. No one can suppress the one who makes Indra favorable to him with yajna. (1)
शग्ध्यू३षु शचीपत इन्द्र विश्वाभिरूतिभिः । भगं न हि त्वा यशसं वसुविदमनु शूर चरामसि ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप शची के पति हैं. आप पराक्रमी हैं. आप हमें संरक्षण के साथसाथ चाहे गए वरदान दीजिए तथा सौभाग्य जैसा यशस्वी धन दीजिए. हम आप की आराधना करते हैं. (१)

O Indra! You are Shachi's husband. You are mighty. You give us the boons we want along with protection and give us a successful wealth like good fortune. We worship you. (1)
यच्छक्रासि परावति यदर्वावति वृत्रहन् । अतस्त्वा गीर्भिर्द्युगदिन्द्र केशिभिः सुतावाँ आ विवासति ॥ (२)

हे इंद्र! आप वृत्रासुर नाशक हैं. आप हमारे पास हों चाहे दूर, पर हम सोम यज्ञ करने वाले यजमान आप को आमंत्रित करते हैं. हम गरदन पर सुंदर बाल वाले घोड़ों के समान अपनी श्रेष्ठ स्तुतियों से आप को बुलाते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are the destroyer of Vritrasura. Whether you are with us or far away, we invite you to the host who performs the Soma Yagya. We call upon you with our best praises like horses with beautiful hair on the neck. (2)
यत इन्द्र भयामहे ततो नो अभयं कृधि । मघवञ्छग्धि तव तन्न ऊतये वि द्विषो वि मृधो जहि ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! जिस से हम डरें आप उसी से हमें निडर बनाइए. हमें अभय दान दीजिए. हमारे शत्रुओं को और हमें मारने वालों को आप नष्ट कीजिए. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Make us fearless with what we are afraid of. Give us abhaya charity. Destroy our enemies and those who killed us. (2)
मो षु त्वा वाघतश्च नारे अस्मन्नि रीरमन् । आरात्ताद्वा सधमादं न आ गहीह वा सन्नुप श्रुधि ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! यज्ञ करने वाले भी आप को हम से दूर न कर सकें. आप दूर रह कर भी हमारे पास जल्दी आइए. आप यहीं रह कर हमारी स्तुतियां सुनिए. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Even those who perform yajna cannot take you away from us. Come to us quickly even if you stay away. Stay here and listen to our praises. (2)
इम इन्द्र मदाय ते सोमाश्चिकित्र उकिथनः । मधोः पपान उप नो गिरः शृणु रास्व स्तोत्राय गिर्वणः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप की प्रसन्नता के लिए खास तौर से साफ कर के मधुर सोमरस को तैयार किया है. आप हमारी प्रार्थना की वाणी को सुनिए. आप हमें मनचाहे फल दीजिए. (२)

O Indra! For your happiness, you have specially prepared the sweet somersa by cleaning it. Listen to the voice of our prayer. You give us the results you want. (2)
इमा उ वां दिविष्टय उस्रा हवन्ते अश्विना । अयं वामह्वेऽवसे शचीवसू विशंविशँ हि गच्छथः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अश्विनीकुमारो! प्रकाश चाहने वाले यजमान आप को बुलाते हैं. मैं भी कर्म को धन मानने वाले आप को बुलाता हूं. हम अपनी रक्षा के लिए आप दोनों को बुलाते हैं. हम आप दोनों को तृप्त (प्रसन्न) करने के लिए बुलाते हैं. आप स्तुति करने वाले हर एक यजमान के पास पधारते हो. (२)

O Ashwinikumaro! The hosts who want light call you. I also call you who consider karma as wealth. We call both of you to protect us. We call you both to satisfy (please). You come to every host who praises you. (2)
योनिष्ट इन्द्र सदने अकारि तमा नृभिः पुरूहूत प्र याहि । असो यथा नोऽविता वृधश्चिद्ददो वसूनि ममदश्च सोमैः ॥ (२)

हे इंद्र! आप को बैठाने के लिए हम ने खास यज्ञ वेदिका तैयार की है. आप मरुतों के साथ पधारिए. आप सब उस स्थान पर विराजिए. आप हमारे रक्षक व हमारे पालक हैं. आप हमें कई तरह के धन दीजिए. आप सोमरस पी कर प्रसन्न होइए. (२)

O Indra! We have prepared a special yagya vedika to make you sit. You come with the Maruts. You all sit in that place. You are our protector and our guardian. You give us a lot of money. Please be happy to drink somers. (2)
वृत्रस्य त्वा श्वसथादीषमाणा विश्वे देवा अजहुर्ये सखायः । मरुद्भिरिन्द्र सख्यं ते अस्त्वथेमा विश्वाः पृतना जयासि ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! सभी सहायक देवतागण वृत्रासुर से डर कर आप का साथ छोड़ कर भाग गए (चले गए). उन सब के चले जाने पर आप ने मरुदगणों की मित्रता के कारण उन के सहयोग से दुश्मनों की सेना को हराया. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! All the supporting gods, fearing Vritrasura, left you and fled (left). When all of them left, you defeated the army of enemies with their cooperation due to the friendship of the Marudgans. (2)
त्रातारमिन्द्रमवितारमिन्द्रँ हवेहवे सुहवँ शूरमिन्द्रम् । हुवे नु शक्रं पुरुहूतमिन्द्रमिदँ हविर्मघवा वेत्विन्द्रः ॥ (२)

हे यजमानो! हम अपने कल्याण के लिए इंद्र का आह्वान करते हैं. वे हमारे त्राता (रक्षक), सहायक, शक्तिशाली व सक्षम हैं. वे बहुत से उपासकों द्वारा स्तुत्य (उपासना योग्य) और धनवान हैं. वे हवि के अन्न को ग्रहण करने की कृपा करें. (२)

O hosts! We invoke Indra for our welfare. They are our protectors, helpers, powerful and capable. They are praiseworthy (worshipable) and wealthy by many worshippers. Please may they take Havi's food. (2)
इन्द्रं विश्वा अवीवृधन्त्समुद्रव्यचसं गिरः । रथीतमँ रथीनां वाजानाँ सत्पतिं पतिम् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप श्रेष्ठ रथ पर विराजमान हैं. आप श्रेष्ठ योद्धा, अन्न व बल के स्वामी हैं. आप सज्जनों के रक्षक हैं. हमारी सारी प्रार्थनाएं आप का गुणगान करती हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are sitting on the best chariot. You are the best warrior, the master of food and strength. You are the protector of gentlemen. All our prayers praise you. (2)
त्वामिद्धि हवामहे सातौ वाजस्य कार्वः । त्वां वृत्रेष्विन्द्र सत्पतिं नरस्त्वां काष्ठास्वर्वतः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! स्तुति करने वाले यजमान हवि दान के लिए आप को आमंत्रित करते हैं. आप सत्य (या सज्जनो) के पालनहार हैं. हम तथा दूसरे सभी शत्रु या घोड़ों से संबंधित युद्धों में मदद के लिए आप को ही पुकारते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! The praising host invites you to donate. You are the sustainer of truth (or gentlemen). We and all others call on you to help in enemies or horse-related wars. (2)
य ऋते चिदभिश्रिषः पुरा जत्रुभ्य आतृदः । सन्धाता सन्धिं मघवा पुरूवसुर्निष्कर्ता विह्रुतं पुनः ॥ (२)

हे इंद्र! आप गले की नाड़ियों को खून निकलने पर भी बिना जोड़ने की सामग्री के ही जोड़ सकते हैं. इंद्र बहुत वैभव वाले हैं. वे कटे हुए भागों को फिर से जोड़ सकते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You can add the neck cords without connecting material even when there is blood. Indra is very splendid. They can reattach the cut parts. (2)
या इन्द्र भुज आभरः स्वर्वाँ असुरेभ्यः । स्तोतारमिन्मघवन्नस्य वर्धय ये च त्वे वृक्तबर्हिषः ॥ (२)

हे इंद्र! आप आत्म शक्ति वाले हैं. आप ने बलवान राक्षसों से भोग के साधन जीते हैं. इस धन से आप अपने पूजकों को संरक्षण दीजिए. जो आप को बारबार आमंत्रित या याद करते हैं, आप उन्हें धनवान बनाइए. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are self-powered. You have won the means of enjoyment from strong demons. Protect your worshippers with this money. Those who invite or remember you again and again, make them rich. (2)
अभि वो वीरमन्धसो मदेषु गाय गिरा महा विचेतसम् । इन्द्रं नाम श्रुत्यँ शाकिनं वचो यथा ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमानो! आप अपने हित के लिए इंद्र की स्तुति करो. वे राक्षसों को जीतने वाले हैं. वे सोमरस से खुश होने वाले हैं. वे यशस्वी, वीर व बुद्धिमान हैं. आप ऐसे इंद्र की जैसे भी हो विशेष स्तुति करो. (३)

O hosts! Praise Indra for your own interest. They are going to conquer monsters. They are going to be happy with Somers. They are successful, brave and intelligent. Whatever you are like this, praise Indra specially. (3)
वास्तोष्पते ध्रुवा स्थूणाँ सत्रँ सोम्यानाम् । द्रप्सः पुरां भेत्ता शश्वतीनामिन्द्रो मुनीनाँ सखा ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप घर के स्वामी हैं. हमारे घर के खंभे व सोम यज्ञ करने वालों का शरीर मजबूत हो. सोम पीने वाले राक्षसों की बहुत सी नगरियां उजाड़ने वाले इंद्र हम ऋषियों के मित्र हों. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are the master of the house. The pillars of our house and the body of those who perform Som Yagya should be strong. Indra, who destroys many cities of demons who drink Soma, is a friend of us sages. (3)
सुनोत सोमपाव्ने सोममिन्द्राय वज्रिणे । पचता पक्तीरवसे कृणुध्वमित्पृणन्नित्पृणते मयः ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यज्ञ करने वालो! वज्रधारी इंद्र के लिए सोमरस निचोड़ो. इंद्र को प्रसन्न करने के लिए पुरोडाश (भोग) पकाइए (बनाइए). यजमान की प्रसन्नता के लिए इंद्र स्वयं हवि ग्रहण करते हैं. (३)

O one who performs yajna! Squeeze someras for vajradhari Indra. Cook purodash (bhog) to please Indra. For the happiness of the host, Indra himself takes havi. (3)
आ त्वा३द्य सबर्दुघाँ हुवे गायत्रवेपसम् । इन्द्रं धेनुँ सुदुघामन्यामिषमुरुधारामरङ्कृतम् ॥ (३)

हे इंद्र! आप उस गाय के समान शोभा पा रहे हैं जो बहुत दूध देने वाली है, जिस की चाल प्रशंसा करने योग्य है, जो आसानी से दुहने योग्य है, जो विशेष लक्षणों वाली है, जिस के स्तनों से दूध की कई धाराएं बहती हैं. आप शीघ्र पधारिए. (३)

O Indra! You are adorned like a cow that is very milking, whose gait is praiseworthy, which is easily milkable, which has special symptoms, from whose breasts many streams of milk flow. You come soon. (3)
कु ष्ठः को वामश्विना तपानो देवा मर्त्यः । घ्नता वामश्मया क्षपमाणोँशुनेत्थमु आदुन्यथा ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अश्विनीकुमारो! आप प्रकाश वाले हैं. इस पृथ्वी पर रहने वाला कौन आप को प्रकाशित कर सकता है. जो यजमान आप के लिए पत्थरों से सोम कूटकूट कर थक जाता है, वह राजा के समान इच्छानुसार भोग करने वाला होता है. (३)

O Ashwinikumaro! You're light. Who lives on this earth can illuminate you. The host who gets tired of doing soma with stones for you, he is going to enjoy as per the wish of the king. (3)
अदर्दरुत्समसृजो वि खानि त्वमर्णवान्बद्बधानाँ अरम्णाः । महान्तमिन्द्र पर्वतं वि यद्वः सृजद्धारा अव यद्दानवान्हन् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप ने बादलों का जल निकालने के लिए खासतौर पर दरवाजों को (रास्तों को) बनाया है, जिस से बादलों को भेद कर पानी पाया जा सके. आप पानी के रास्ते की सब बाधाओं को दूर करते हैं. आप की कृपा से बहुत जल धाराएं बही हैं. आप ने राक्षसों का नाश किया है. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You have specially made doors (paths) to remove the water of the clouds, from which water can be found by penetrating the clouds. You remove all obstacles in the way of water. By your grace, there are many streams of water. You have destroyed demons. (3)
