न किष्टं कर्मणा नशद्यश्चकार सदावृधम् । इन्द्रं न यज्ञैर्विश्वगूर्तमृभ्वसमधृष्टं धृष्णुमोजसा ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमानो! इंद्र सदा उन्नतिशील व समृद्ध हैं. वे सब से पूजित और महान बलशाली हैं. किसी से नहीं दबने वाले व शत्रुनाशक हैं. जो यज्ञ से इंद्र को अपने अनुकूल बना लेता है, उसे कोई भी नहीं दबा सकता है. (१)
EN English Translation
O hosts! Indra is always progressive and prosperous. They are the most revered and great mighty. They are not suppressed by anyone and are hostile. No one can suppress the one who makes Indra favorable to him with yajna. (1)
य ऋते चिदभिश्रिषः पुरा जत्रुभ्य आतृदः । सन्धाता सन्धिं मघवा पुरूवसुर्निष्कर्ता विह्रुतं पुनः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप गले की नाड़ियों को खून निकलने पर भी बिना जोड़ने की सामग्री के ही जोड़ सकते हैं. इंद्र बहुत वैभव वाले हैं. वे कटे हुए भागों को फिर से जोड़ सकते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You can add the neck cords without connecting material even when there is blood. Indra is very splendid. They can reattach the cut parts. (2)
आ त्वा सहस्रमा शतं युक्ता रथे हिरण्यये । ब्रह्मयुजो हरय इन्द्र केशिनो वहन्तु सोमपीतये ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप के घोड़े मंत्र के प्रभाव से रथ में जुत जाते हैं. आप के घोड़ों की गरदन पर लंबेलंबे बाल हैं. वे सैकड़ों घोड़े आप के सुनहरे रथ में जुत जाएं और सोमपान के लिए आप को यज्ञ में ले आएं, यह अनुरोध है. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Your horses are tied in the chariot with the effect of the mantra. Your horses have long hair on their necks. Those hundreds of horses should be tied in your golden chariot and bring you to the yagna for sompan, this is the request. (3)
आ मन्द्रैरिन्द्र हरिभिर्याहि मयूररोमभिः । मा त्वा के चिन्नि येमुरिन्न पाशिनोऽति धन्वेव ताँ इहि ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! जैसे राहगीर शीघ्र ही रेगिस्तान को पार कर लेता है, वैसे ही आप भी मोर जैसे रोम वाले घोड़ों से यहां आइए. जाल फैलाने वाले शिकारी आप की राह में रोड़ा न अटका सकें. (४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Just as the passerby soon crosses the desert, so come here with horses with romans like peacocks. The hunters who spread the trap can not obstruct you. (4)
त्वमङ्ग प्र शँसिषो देवः शविष्ठ मर्त्यम् । न त्वदन्यो मघवन्नस्ति मर्डितेन्द्र ब्रवीमि ते वचः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप बलवान व प्रकाश वाले हैं. आप अपने पूजकों की प्रशंसा करते हैं. आप धनवान हैं. आप के अलावा कोई सुख देने वाला नहीं है. इसी कारण मैं आप की स्तुति करता हूं. (५)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are strong and light. You praise your worshippers. You are rich. There is no one to give happiness except you. That's why I praise you. (5)
त्वमिन्द्र यशा अस्यृजीषी शवसस्पतिः । त्वं वृत्राणि हँस्यप्रतीन्येक इत्पुर्वनुत्तश्चर्षणीधृतिः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप शक्तिशाली हैं. आप सोमरस पीने वाले और यशवान हैं. आप यजमानों के हित के लिए बड़े से बड़े शत्रु को भी अकेले ही नष्ट कर सकते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are powerful. You are a somaras drinker and a celebrity. You can single-handedly destroy even the biggest enemy for the benefit of the hosts. (6)
इन्द्रमिद्देवतातय इन्द्रं प्रयत्यध्वरे । इन्द्रँ समीके वनिनो हवामह इन्द्रं धनस्य सातये ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
देवों के लिए किए जाने वाले यज्ञ में हम इंद्र को ही आमंत्रित करते हैं. यज्ञ के शुरू और समापन दोनों ही समय हम इंद्र को आमंत्रित करते हैं. धन लाभ के लिए हम इंद्र को ही आमंत्रित करते हैं. आप शीघ्र पधारिए. (७)
EN English Translation
We invite Indra to the yagna performed for the gods. Both at the beginning and the end of the yajna, we invite Indra. We invite Indra only for money gain. You come soon. (7)
इमा उ त्वा पुरूवसो गिरो वर्धन्तु या मम । पावकवर्णाः शुचयो विपश्चितोऽभि स्तोमैरनूषत ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप धनवान हैं. हमारी प्रार्थनाएं आप का यश बढ़ाएं. यजमान अग्नि के समान पवित्र, तेजस्वी व विद्वान् हैं. वे प्रार्थनाओं से बारबार आप की स्तुति करते हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are rich. May our prayers bring you laurels. The host is as holy, radiant and learned as agni. They praise you again and again with prayers. (8)
उदु त्ये मधुमत्तमा गिर स्तोमास ईरते । सत्राजितो धनसा अक्षितोतयो वाजयन्तो रथा इव ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप हमेशा शत्रुओं को जीतने वाले व धन देने वाले हैं. आप का दिया संरक्षण कभी खत्म नहीं होता. बलशाली रथ के समान ये प्रार्थनाएं आप की ओर बढ़ रही हैं. ये प्रार्थनाएं मधुर और श्रेष्ठ वचनों से भरी हुई हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are always the conqueror and give money to the enemies. Your protection is never over. Like a powerful chariot, these prayers are moving towards you. These prayers are sweet and full of noble words. (9)
यथा गौरो अपा कृतं तृष्यन्नेत्यवेरिणम् । आपित्वे नः प्रपित्वे तूयमा गहि कण्वेषु सु सचा पिब ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! जैसे प्यासे गौर हिरण पानी से भरे हुए तालाब के पास जाते हैं, उसी प्रकार आप हमारी प्रार्थनाओं से भरेपूरे यज्ञ में पधारिए. कण्व के यज्ञ में जल्दी से जल्दी आइए. सोमरस पी कर प्रसन्न होइए. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Just as thirsty gaur deer go to a pond full of water, so you come to the entire yagna filled with our prayers. Come to the yagna of Kanva as soon as possible. Be happy to drink someras. (10)
