प्रत्यस्मै पिपीषते विश्वानि विदुषे भर । अरङ्गमाय जग्मयेऽपश्चादध्वने नरः ॥ (१)

हे यजमानो! इंद्र यज्ञ के संचालक हैं. वे सोमरस पीने के इच्छुक रहते हैं. वे सभी जगह निर्धारित समय पर पहुंचते हैं. वे उपयुक्त स्थान के भागीदार हैं. सब से पहले उन को ही यज्ञ की वेदी पर प्रतिष्ठित किया जाता है. मनुष्यों के यज्ञ में वे जाने की इच्छा रखते हैं. आप सभी उन्हीं इंद्र को सोमरस से तृप्त करने की कृपा कीजिए. (१)
EN English Translation
O hosts! Indra is the operator of yajna. They are willing to drink somerous. They reach all places on time. They are partners in the appropriate location. First of all, they are distinguished on the altar of yajna. They wish to go to the sacrifice of human beings. Please all of you to satisfy the same Indra with Someras. (1)
प्रप्र वस्त्रिष्टुभमिषं वन्दद्वीरायेन्दवे । धिया वो मेधसातये पुरन्ध्या विवासति ॥ (१)

हे यजमानो! आप वीर इंद्र को हवि प्रदान करो. वे यज्ञ को पूरा करने में बुद्धि से किए गए श्रेष्ठ कार्यो की प्रशंसा व मनोकामनाएं पूरी करते हैं. वे यजमानों का सम्मान करते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O hosts! You give the heroic Indra a boost. They praise and fulfill the wishes of the best work done with intelligence in completing the yajna. They respect the hosts. (1)
विश्वाः पृतना अभिभूतरं नरः सजूस्ततक्षुरिन्द्रं जजनुश्च राजसे । क्रत्वे वरे स्थेमन्यामुरीमुतोग्रमोजिष्ठं तरसं तरस्विनम् ॥ (१)

इंद्र यज्ञ में सर्वश्रेष्ठ स्थान पर विराजते हैं. वे सेनानायक व ओजस्वी हैं. उन की सेना संगठित है. वे अस्त्रशस्त्र धारण करते हैं. वे शत्रुनाशक, उग्र व महिमावान हैं. यजमान तेजी से कार्य करते हैं. वे इंद्र की उपासना करते हैं. (१)

Indra sits at the best place in the yajna. They are commanders and energetics. Their army is organized. They wear weapons. They are hostile, fierce and glorious. Hosts act fast. They worship Indra. (1)
इन्द्र सुतेषु सोमेषु क्रतुं पुनीष उक्थ्यम् । विदे वृधस्य दक्षस्य महाँ हि षः ॥ (१)

हे इंद्र! आप के पुत्रों (यजमानों) ने आप के लिए सोमरस परिष्कृत किया है. आप यजमान और उपासक दोनों की बढ़ोतरी व उन्हें पवित्र कीजिए. आप दक्ष व महान हैं. (१)

O Indra! Your sons (hosts) have refined Somerus for you. You increase and sanctify both the host and the worshipper. You are skilled and great. (1)
गृणे तदिन्द्र ते शव उपमां देवतातये । यद्धँसि वृत्रमोजसा शचीपते ॥ (१)

हे इंद्र (शचीपति)! हम पास ही हो रहे इस यज्ञ में आप की महिमा की उपासना करते हैं. आप अपने ओज से वृत्रासुर का नाश कर सके. (१)

O Indra (Shachipati)! We worship your glory in this yagna happening nearby. You could destroy Vritrasura with your oz. (1)
अभ्रातृव्यो अना त्वमनापिरिन्द्र जनुषा सनादसि । युधेदापित्वमिच्छसे ॥ (१)

हे इंद्र! आप शुरू से ही भाइयों के लड़ाईझगड़ों से मुक्त हैं. आप के ऐसे भाईबंधु भी नहीं हैं, जो आप की मदद करें या आप पर राज करें. आप युद्ध में संरक्षण दे कर अपने भक्तों के साथ भाईबंधुता स्थापित करते हैं. (१)

O Indra! You are free from brothers' fights from the beginning. You don't even have brothers who help you or rule you. You establish brotherhood with your devotees by giving protection in war. (1)
स्वादोरित्था विषूवतो मधोः पिबन्ति गौर्यः । या इन्द्रेण सयावरीर्वृष्णा मदन्ति शोभथा वस्वीरनु स्वराज्यम् ॥ (१)

हे इंद्र! सूर्य रूप में आप की किरणें आप के साथ शोभित होती हैं. वे किरणें स्वादिष्ट मीठे सोमरस को पीती हैं. वे किरणें स्वराज्य में शोभित होती हैं. (१)

O Indra! In the form of the sun, your rays adorn with you. Those rays drink delicious sweet somers. Those rays adorn in Swarajya. (1)
आ ते अग्न इधीमहि द्युमन्तं देवाजरम् । युद्ध स्या ते पनीयसी समिद्दीदयति द्यवीषँ स्तोतृभ्य आ भर ॥ (१)

हे अग्नि! आप अजर (बुढ़ापे से मुक्त) हैं. आप प्रकाशमान हैं. हम आप को प्रज्वलित करते हैं. आप स्वर्गलोक को प्रकाशित करते हैं. आप उपासकों को भरपूर धन दीजिए. (१)

O agni! You are ajar (free from old age). You are shining. We ignite you. You illuminate paradise. You give plenty of money to the worshippers. (1)
परि प्र धन्वेन्द्राय सोम स्वादुर्मित्राय पूष्णे भगाय ॥ (१)

हे सोम! आप का रस सुस्वादु (स्वादिष्ट) होता है. आप इंद्र, पूषा व भग देव के लिए प्रवाहित होइए. (१)

हे अग्नि! आप हविवाहक, प्रकाशमान, ज्ञानवान हैं. जैसे रथ निर्धारित जगह ले जाता है, वैसे ही आप जिनजिन देवताओं के लिए जोजो वस्तु समर्पित की जाती है, उसे उनउन देवताओं तक पहुंचाते हैं. आप सर्वज्ञाता हैं. (१)

O agni! You are a married, enlightening, knowledgeable person. Just as the chariot takes the designated place, so you convey the thing that is dedicated to the jindevas to those gods. You are omniscient. (1)
त्रिकद्रुकेषु महिषो यवाशिरं तुविशुष्मस्तृम्पत्सोममपिबद्विष्णुना सुतं यथावशम् । स ईं ममाद महि कर्म कर्त्तवे महामुरुँ सैनँ सश्चद्देवो देवँ सत्य इन्दुः सत्यमिन्द्रम् ॥ (१)

उत्तम दिव्य गुणों वाला सोमरस इंद्र को प्राप्त हुआ. शक्तिशाली इंद्र ने विष्णु के साथ सोमरस को पीया. उस सोमरस में जौ का आटा मिलाया. वह तृप्तिकारी और त्रिलोक में व्याप्त था. उस ने इंद्र को महान कार्य करने की भी प्रेरणा प्रदान की. (१)
EN English Translation
Someras with the best divine qualities was received by Indra. The powerful Indra drank Someras with Vishnu. Add barley flour to that somersa. He was prevalent in Truptikari and Trilok. He also inspired Indra to do great work.
आ नो वयोवयःशयं महान्तं गह्वरेष्ठां महान्तं पूर्विनेष्ठाम् । उग्रं वचो अपावधीः ॥ (२)

हे इंद्र! आप पर्वतवासी हैं. हमें सोमरस दीजिए. वह सब जगह उपलब्ध है. आप घोर निंदास्पद बातों को हम से दूर करने की कृपा कीजिए. हे इंद्र! आप शत्रुओं को हराने वाले हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are a mountain dweller. Give us somers. He is available everywhere. Please take away the most slanderous things from us. O Indra! You are going to defeat enemies. (2)
कश्यपस्य स्वर्विदो यावाहुः सयुजाविति । ययोर्विश्वमपि व्रतं यज्ञं धीरा निचाय्य ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र के घोड़े अपनेआप को जानने वाले व सर्वज्ञ हैं. ये घोड़े इंद्र को यज्ञ में ले जाने में लगे रहते हैं. विद्वान् कहते हैं कि यज्ञ में जाने का निश्चय होते ही ये घोड़े अपनेआप रथ में जुत जाते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
Indra's horses are self-knowing and omniscient. These horses are engaged in taking Indra to the yagna. Scholars say that as soon as they are determined to go to the yagna, these horses automatically get stuck in the chariot. (2)
श्रत्ते दधामि प्रथमाय मन्यवेऽहन्यद्दस्युं नर्यं विवेरपः । उभे यत्वा रोदसी धावतामनु भ्यसात्ते शुष्मात्पृथिवी चिदद्रिवः ॥ (२)

हे इंद्र! आप दुष्टों (दुश्मनों) का नाश करने वाले हैं. आप प्राणियों के हित के लिए जल बरसाते हैं. स्वर्गलोक और पृथ्वीलोक आप की इच्छा से क्रियाशील होते हैं. हम इंद्र के उस क्रोध की प्रशंसा करते हैं, जो अन्याय को दूर करता है. हम यजमान आप पर बहुत श्रद्धा रखते हैं. (२)

O Indra! You are the destroyer of the wicked (enemies). You rain water for the benefit of creatures. Heaven and earth are active by your will. We admire Indra's anger that removes injustice. We hosts have great faith in you. (2)
तमु अभि प्र गायत पुरुहूतं पुरुष्टुतम् । इन्द्रं गीर्भिस्तविषमा विवासत ॥ (२)

हे उपासको! आप इंद्र का आह्वान कीजिए. आप उन की प्रशंसा कीजिए. आप उन के गुण गाइए एवं उन का चिंतन कीजिए. (२)

O worshiper! You invoke Indra. You praise them. Sing their virtues and think about them. (2)
यस्य त्यच्छम्बरं मदे दिवोदासाय रन्धयन् । अयँ स सोम इन्द्र ते सुतः पिब ॥ (२)

हे इंद्र! आप सोमरस पीजिए. सोमरस से मदमस्त हो कर ही आप ने दिवोदास के लिए शंबर का नाश किया. (२)

O Indra! You drink somers. It was only after being intoxicated by Someras that you destroyed Shambar for Divodas. (2)
यो न इदमिदं पुरा प्र वस्य आनिनाय तमु व स्तुषे । सखाय इन्द्रमूतये ॥ (२)

हे यजमानो! इंद्र आरंभ से ही धनदाता हैं. हम अपने कल्याण के लिए उन की उपासना करते हैं. (२)

O hosts! Indra has been a wealth giver from the beginning. We worship them for our welfare. (2)
इत्था हि सोम इन्मदो ब्रह्म चकार वर्धनम् । शविष्ठ वज्रिन्नोजसा पृथिव्या निः शशा अहिमर्चन्ननु स्वराज्यम् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप वज्रधारी व बलवान हैं. सोमरस गुणी है. इन प्रार्थनाओं में हम ने सोमरस के गुणों का वर्णन किया है. पृथ्वी पर हमारे शत्रुओं का नाश हो. पूरी तरह स्वराज्य की स्थापना हो. (२)

O Indra! You are vajradhari and strong. Somerus is virtuous. In these prayers, we have described the qualities of Someras. May our enemies be destroyed on earth. Complete self-rule should be established. (2)
आग्निं न स्ववृक्तिभिर्होतारं त्वा वृणीमहे । शीरं पावकशोचिषं वि वो मदे यज्ञेषु स्तीर्णबर्हिषं विवक्षसे ॥ (२)

हे अग्नि! अच्छी प्रार्थनाओं से आप को हवि दी जाती है. यज्ञ में आप के लिए कुश का आसन बिछाया जाता है. आप सर्वत्र मौजूद हैं. आप प्रकाशमान व महान हैं. हम विशेष प्रसन्नता के साथ आप की उपासना करते हैं. (२)

O agni! You are given strength with good prayers. Kush's seat is laid for you in the yajna. You are everywhere. You are bright and great. We worship you with special pleasure. (2)
पर्यू षु प्र धन्व वाजसातये परि वृत्राणि सक्षणिः । द्विषस्तरध्या ऋणया न ईरसे ॥ (२)

हे सोम! आप सोमरस से कलश को भर दीजिए. आप उस भरेपूरे द्रोणकलश में भरे रहिए. आप शक्तिमान होइए. आप दुश्मनों पर आक्रमण कीजिए. हमें आप कर्जों से मुक्त कराइए. आप हमारे शत्रुओं को हराइए. आप उन पर हमला करने के लिए जाइए. (२)

O Mon! You fill the urn with somers. You fill that full dronakalsh. You be powerful. You attack the enemies. Free us from debts. You defeat our enemies. You go to attack them. (2)

अयँ सहस्रमानवो दृशः कवीनां मतिर्ज्योतिर्विधर्म । ब्रध्नः समीचीरुषसः समैरयदरेपसः सोचेतसः स्वसरे मन्युमन्तश्चिता गोः ॥ (२)

सूर्य हजारों मनुष्यों का हित करने वाले कवि, देखने योग्य, प्रकाशमान व अंधकारभेदक हैं. वे उषा को भेजते हैं. उन के प्रकाश के सामने चंद्रमा और दूसरे नक्षत्रों की चमक फीकी लगती है. (२)

The sun is a poet who benefits thousands of human beings, is observable, luminous and dark-eyed. They send Usha. In front of their light, the brightness of the moon and other constellations seems to fade. (2)
आ त्वा रथं यथोतये सुम्नाय वर्तयामसि । तुविकूर्मिमृतीषहमिन्द्रँ शविष्ठ सत्पतिम् ॥ (३)

हे इंद्र! आप शत्रुओं को हराते व यजमानों का पोषण करते हैं. हम आप से संरक्षण व सुख चाहते हैं. जैसे गतिशील रथ सब जगह घुमा कर ले आता है, उसी प्रकार यजमान आप को यज्ञ स्थान पर ले आते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You defeat enemies and nurture hosts. We want protection and happiness from you. Just as the moving chariot rotates everywhere, so the host brings you to the yajna place. (3)
अर्चत प्रार्चता नरः प्रियमेधासो अर्चत । अर्चन्तु पुत्रका उत पुरमिद्धृष्ण्वर्चत ॥ (३)

हे यजमानो! इंद्र आप को अपनी कृपा से ऐसी संतान प्रदान करते हैं, जो यज्ञ में रुचि रखती हों. वे यजमानों की आकांक्षा पूरी करते हैं. वे शत्रुजित् हैं. आप सभी इंद्र की अर्चना कीजिए. (३)
EN English Translation
O hosts! Indra, by his grace, gives you such children, who are interested in yajna. They fulfill the aspirations of the hosts. They are enemies. All of you worship Indra. (3)
समेत विश्वा ओजसा पतिं दिवो य एक इद्भूरतिथिर्जनानाम् स । पूर्व्यो नूतनमाजिगीषं तं वर्त्तनीरनु वावृत एक इत् ॥ (३)

हे यजमानो! इंद्र अपने पुरुषार्थ से स्वर्गलोक के स्वामी बने हैं. वे मनुष्यों में पूजनीय, अपूर्व व जीतने के इच्छुक को विजय दिलाते हैं. आप सब मिल कर उन की उपासना कीजिए. (३)
EN English Translation
O hosts! Indra has become the swami of heaven with his effort. They bring victory to the revered, unpretentious and willing to win in human beings. All of you should worship them together. (3)
तं ते मदं गृणीमसि वृषणं पृक्षु सासहिम् । उ लोककृत्नुमद्रिवो हरिश्रियम् ॥ (३)

हे इंद्र! आप के हाथ में वज्र है. आप बलवान व शत्रुजित् हैं. आप के घोड़े मनुष्यों का हित साधते हैं. सोमपान से आप में ऊर्जा आती है. हम उस ओज की प्रशंसा करते हैं. (३)

O Indra! You have a thunderbolt in your hand. You are strong and hostile. Your horses serve the interests of human beings. Sompan brings energy to you. We admire that oz. (3)
एन्द्र नो गधि प्रिय सत्राजिदगोह्य । गिरिर्न विश्वतः पृथुः पतिर्दिवः ॥ (३)

हे इंद्र! आप सभी को प्रिय व शत्रुजित् हैं. आप को कोई नहीं हरा सकता. आप गिरि जैसे विशाल व स्वर्गलोक के स्वामी हैं. आप विश्व के सभी वैभव हमें प्रदान कराने के लिए हमारे पास पृथ्वी पर पधारने की कृपा कीजिए. (३)

O Indra! You are loved and enemy to all. No one can beat you. You are as vast as Giri and the swami of heaven. Please come to earth with us to give us all the glory of the world. (3)
आ गन्ता मा रिषण्यत प्रस्थावानो माप स्थात समन्यवः । दृढा चिद्यमयिष्णवः ॥ (३)

हे मरुद्गणो! आप हमारे पास पधारिए. आप हमें कोई नुकसान न पहुंचाते हुए हमारे पास आइए. जो बलशाली हैं, जो दुश्मनों को दुःखी करने वाले हैं, वे भी हमारे पास रहें. वे हम से दूर न रहें. (३)
EN English Translation
O Marudgano! You come to us. You come to us without harming us. Those who are powerful, those who are going to hurt the enemies, they should also stay with us. They should not stay away from us. (3)
