प्र तु द्रव परि कोशं नि षीद नृभिः पुनानो अभि वाजमर्ष । अश्वं न त्वा वाजिनं मर्जयन्तोऽच्छा बर्ही रशनाभिर्नयन्ति ॥ (१)

हे सोम! आप शीघ्र आइए. आप कलश में विराजिए. यजमान आप को पवित्र करते हैं. आप यजमान को अन्न व धन दीजिए. जैसे बलवान घोड़े की रस्सी अंगुली से पकड़ कर उस को शुद्ध किया जाता है, वैसे ही यजमान पवित्र कर के आप को यज्ञशाला तक पहुंचाते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You come soon. You sit in the urn. The host sanctifies you. You give food and money to the host. Just as the rope of a strong horse is caught with the finger and purified, in the same way, the host sanctifies you and takes you to the Yagyashala. (1)
प्र सेनानीः शूरो अग्रे रथानां गव्यन्नेति हर्षते अस्य सेना । भद्रान्कृण्वन्निन्द्रहवान्त्सखिभ्य आ सोमो वस्त्रा रभसानि दत्ते ॥ (१)

हे सोम! आप सेनानायक व वीर हैं. आप यजमान के लिए गौ आदि धनों को देने की इच्छा रखते हैं. आप रथ के आगेआगे चलते हैं. आप को देख कर सेना का हौसला बढ़ता है. आप मित्रों और यजमानों के लिए इंद्र की प्रार्थनाओं को कल्याणकारी बनाते हैं. आप तेजस्वी हैं. (१)

O Mon! You are a commander and a hero. You wish to give money like cow etc. for the host. You walk ahead of the chariot. Seeing you boosts the morale of the army. You make Indra's prayers welfare for friends and hosts. You are stunning. (1)
पुरोजिती वो अन्धसः सुताय मादयित्नवे । अप श्वानँ श्नथिष्टन सखायो दीर्घजिह्व्यम् ॥ (१)

हे यजमानो! आप के आगे आनंददायी सोमरस रखा हुआ है. लंबीलंबी जीभ वाले कुत्ते इस के पास जाना चाहते हैं. आप उन कुत्तों को दूर भगाओ. (१)

O hosts! There is a joyful someras in front of you. Dogs with long tongues want to go near this. You drive those dogs away. (1)
अभि प्रियाणि पवते चनोहितो नामानि यह्वो अधि येषु वर्धते । आ सूर्यस्य बृहतो बृहन्नधि रथं विष्वञ्चमरुहद्विचक्षणः ॥ (१)

हे सोम! आप दिव्य दृष्टि वाले हैं. सूर्य का रथ सब जगह जा सकता है. आप उस रथ पर विराजमान होते हैं और सारे संसार को देखते हैं. आप प्रिय जल में मिलते हैं एवं अन्नों को बढ़ाते हैं. आप व्यापक होते हुए बहते हैं. (१)

O Mon! You are divinely visible. The chariot of the sun can go everywhere. You sit on that chariot and see the whole world. You meet in the beloved water and increase the grains. You flow wider. (1)
इन्द्रमच्छ सुता इमे वृषणं यन्तु हरयः । श्रुष्टे जातास इन्दवः स्वर्विदः ॥ (१)

सोमरस बहुत जल्दी तैयार किया गया है. यह ज्ञान की बढ़ोतरी करने वाला और हरा है. यह शीघ्र ही इच्छा पूर्ण करने वाले शक्तिमान इंद्र के पास पहुंचे. (१)

Somers has been prepared very quickly. It is knowledge-enhancing and green. It soon reached shaktiman Indra, who fulfilled the wish. (1)
पवस्व मधुमत्तम इन्द्राय सोम क्रतुवित्तमो मदः । महि द्युक्षतमो मदः ॥ (१)

हे सोम! आप प्रसन्नता बढ़ाने वाले हैं. आप को हवि देने के लिए निचोड़ा गया है. आप को अन्न और यश प्राप्ति के उद्देश्य से इन कलशीं में भरा गया है. (१)

O Mon! You are going to increase happiness. You've been squeezed to give havi. You have been filled in these urshi for the purpose of getting food and fame. (1)
उपो षु जातमप्तुरं गोभिर्भङ्गं परिष्कृतम् । इन्दुं देवा अयासिषुः ॥ (१)

सोमरस को पानी, गाय का दूध और घी मिला कर अच्छी तरह तैयार किया गया है. यह शत्रुनाशक है. यह उत्तम सोमरस देवताओं तक पहुंचे. (१)

अचिक्रदद्वृषा हरिर्महान्मित्रो न दर्शतः । सँ सूर्येण दिद्युते ॥ (१)

पुनानः सोम धारयापो वसानो अर्षसि । आ रत्नधा योनिमृतस्य सीदस्युत्सो देवो हिरण्ययः ॥ (१)

हे सोम! आप पवित्र करने वाले व पानी के साथ मिल कर जलधार के रूप में आप मटकों में प्रवेश करते हैं. आप रत्न आदि कीमती धन देने वाले और यज्ञ मंडप में विराजमान होते हैं. आप प्रकाशमान, देवताओं का हित साधने वाले, सुंदर, चमकीले व बहने वाले हैं. (१)

O Mon! You enter the matkas as a waterflight by sanctifying and together with water. You are the giver of precious money like gems etc. and sit in the Yagya Mandap. You are bright, serving the interests of the gods, beautiful, bright and flowing. (1)
परीतो षिञ्चता सुतँ सोमो य उत्तमँ हविः । दधन्वाँ यो नर्यो अप्स्वा३न्तरा सुषाव सोममद्रिभिः ॥ (२)

हे सोम! आप देवताओं के लिए सर्वश्रेष्ठ हवि हैं. आप मनुष्यों का हित साधने वाले हैं. आप को पुरोहित पत्थरों के द्वारा निचोड़ते हैं. हे यजमानो! आप इस सोमरस में जल मिलाइए. (२)

O Mon! You are the best for the gods. You are going to serve the interest of human beings. You squeeze by priestly stones. O hosts! You add water to this somerus. (2)
प्र काव्यमुशनेव ब्रुवाणो देवो देवानां जनिमा विवक्ति । महिव्रतः शुचिबन्धुः पावकः पदा वराहो अभ्येति रेभन् ॥ (२)

यजमान उशना ऋषि की तरह स्तोत्रों का पाठ करते हैं. वे देवताओं से संबंधित वृत्तांत बताते हैं. वे ब्रती हैं. सोमरस प्रकाशमान व पवित्रकारी है. उत्तम सोमरस आवाज करते हुए कलश में छनता है. (२)

The host recites the stotras like Ushna Rishi. They tell accounts related to the gods. They are bratis. Someras is enlightening and pious. The best somers makes a sound and filters in the urn. (2)
प्र ते धारा मधुमतीरसृग्रन्वारं यत्पूतो अत्येष्यव्यम् । पवमान पवसे धाम गोनां जनयन्त्सूर्यमपिन्वो अर्कैः ॥ (२)

हे सोम! जब आप भेड़ों की ऊन को पार कर के छनते हुए कलश में जाते हैं तब आप की धाराएं आनंद बरसाती हैं. पवित्र हो कर आप तेजस्वी सूर्य देव की तरह चमकने लगते हैं. (२)

O Mon! When you cross the wool of the sheep and go to the filtering urn, then your streams bring joy. By becoming pure, you start shining like a bright sun god. (2)
अयं पूषा रयिर्भगः सोमः पुनानो अर्षति । पतिर्विश्वस्य भूमनो व्यख्यद्रोदसी उभे ॥ (२)

सोमरस पोषक, पीने योग्य व शोभादायी है. वह छन कर बरतन में गिरता है. वह सभी प्राणियों का पालनहार है. वह स्वर्गलोक तथा पृथ्वीलोक दोनों को अपने प्रकाश से प्रकाशित करता है. (२)

Someras is nutritious, potable and beautiful. He filters and falls into the vessel. He is the sustainer of all beings. He illuminates both heaven and earth with His light. (2)
अचोदसो नो धन्वन्त्विन्दवः प्र स्वानासो बृहद्देवेषु हरयः । वि चिदश्नाना इषयो अरातयोऽर्यो नः सन्तु सनिषन्तु नो धियः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप दूसरों से प्रेरित नहीं होते. आप का रस हरा है. आप को विधिवत निचोड़ा जाता है. आप हमारे यज्ञ में पधारिए. आप यज्ञ और यजमान के दुश्मन तथा दान न देने वाले लोगों को अन्न की इच्छा होने पर भी अन्न, धन मत दीजिए. हमारी प्रार्थनाएं जिनजिन देवताओं के लिए हैं, वे उनउन देवताओं तक पहुंचें. (२)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are not inspired by others. Your juice is green. You are duly squeezed. You come to our yajna. Do not give food, money to the enemies of yajna and host and people who do not donate even if they want food. Let our prayers reach out to the gods for whom we are. (2)
प्र धन्वा सोम जागृविरिन्द्रायेन्दो परि स्रव । द्युमन्तँ शुष्ममा भर स्वर्विदम् ॥ (२)

हे सोम! आप उत्साह और फुर्ती देने वाले हैं. आप इंद्र के पीने के लिए इस कलश में प्रवेश कीजिए. आप हमें प्रकाशवान और ज्ञानवान बनाइए. (२)

O Mon! You are encouraging and agile. You enter this kalash for Indra to drink. You make us light and knowledgeable. (2)
अभि द्युम्नं बृहद्यश इषस्पते दिदीहि देव देवयुम् । वि कोशं मध्यमं युव ॥ (२)

हे सोम! आप अन्न के स्वामी, प्रकाशमान, स्तुति व देवताओं के पीने (पाने) योग्य हैं. आप हमें यश और बल दीजिए. आप द्रोणकलशों को लबालब भर दीजिए. (२)

O Mon! You are the swami of food, the light, praise and the drink of the gods. You give us fame and strength. You fill the dronakalash. (2)
स्वादिष्ठया मदिष्ठया पवस्व सोम धारया । इन्द्राय पातवे सुतः ॥ (२)

इंद्र के लिए सोमरस निचोड़ा गया है. हे सोम! आप रसीले हैं. आप प्रसन्नता देने वाले और स्वादिष्ट हैं. आप की धाराएं निरंतर झरें. (२)

Someras has been squeezed for Indra. O Mon! You're succulent. You are delightful and delicious. Your currents flow continuously. (2)
प्र सोमासो विपश्चितोऽपो नयन्त ऊर्मयः । वनानि महिषा इव ॥ (२)

हे सोम! आप बुद्धि बढ़ाने वाले हैं. आप पानी की लहरों की तरह कलशीं में जाते हैं. आप वन के पशुओं की तरह पवित्र पात्र में पधारते हैं. (२)

O Mon! You are an intellectual enhancer. You go to the kalash like waves of water. You come in a sacred vessel like the animals of the forest. (2)
पुनानो अक्रमीदभि विश्वा मृधो विचर्षणिः । शुम्भन्ति विप्रं धीतिभिः ॥ (२)

सोमरस बुद्धि बढ़ाने वाला, पवित्र व सभी शत्रुओं पर आक्रमण करता है. ज्ञानी उस सोम की स्तोत्रों से शोभा बढ़ाते हैं. (२)

Someras is intelligent, holy and attacks all enemies. Gyani adorns that Soma with stotras. (2)
आ ते दक्षं मयोभुवं वह्निमद्या वृणीमहे । पान्तमा पुरुस्पृहम् ॥ (२)

हे सोम! आप बलदाता, सुखदाता, धनदाता, शत्रुनाशक व अनेक लोगों द्वारा चाहे जाते हैं. आज यज्ञ में हम आप के उस बल को याद करते हैं. (२)

O Mon! You are a strong, happy, money giver, destroyer and many people. Today, in the yajna, we remember that force of yours. (2)
आ सोम स्वानो अद्रिभिस्तिरो वाराण्यव्यया । जनो न पुरि चम्वोर्विशद्धरिः सदो वनेषु दध्रिषे ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! पत्थरों से कूट कर आप का रस निकाल लिया जाता है. उस के बाद भेड़ों के बालों से बनी छलनी से छाना जाता है. हरे रंग वाला सोमरस द्रोणकलश में ऐसे प्रवेश करता है, जैसे नगर में पुरुष. सोमरस लकड़ी के बरतनों में विराजमान रहता है. (३)

O Mon! Your juice is extracted by crushing with stones. After that, it is filtered with a sieve made of sheep's hair. The green sommers enters Dronalash as a man in the city. Somerus sits in wooden vessels. (3)
तिस्रो वाच ईरयति प्र वह्निरृतस्य धीतिं ब्रह्मणो मनीषाम् । गावो यन्ति गोपतिं पृच्छमानाः सोमं यन्ति मतयो वावशानाः ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यजमान ऋग्वेद, यजुर्वेद और सामवेद के मंत्रों से सोम की स्तुति करते हैं. उन की स्तुति ज्ञानमय है. वह स्तुति यज्ञ को धारण करने वाली है. जैसे गायों के पास बैल जाते हैं, वैसे ही आराधक उत्तम सुख की इच्छा से सोम के पास स्तुति करने के लिए जाते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
The host praises Soma with the mantras of RigVeda, Yajurveda and Samaveda. Praise to them is enlightening. She is going to wear the praise sacrifice. Just as bulls go to cows, so worshipers go to Soma to praise him with the desire for good happiness. (3)
प्र गायताभ्यर्चाम देवान्त्सोमँ हिनोत महते धनाय । स्वादुः पवतामति वारमव्यमा सीदतु कलशं देव इन्दुः ॥ (३)

हे यजमानो! हम सोम व अन्य देवताओं की स्तुति करें. हम बहुत धन पाने की इच्छा से अपनी स्तुतियों से सोम को प्रेरित करें. भेड़ के बालों से बनी छलनी से इस सोमरस को छानें. वह घढड़ों में भरा रहे. (३)

O hosts! Let us praise Soma and other gods. Let us inspire Som with our praises with the desire to get a lot of money. Filter this somerus with a sieve made of sheep's hair. He was full of pots. (3)
सुतासो मधुमत्तमाः सोमा इन्द्राय मन्दिनः । पवित्रवन्तो अक्षरन्देवान्गच्छन्तु वो मदाः ॥ (३)

इंद्र के लिए मीठा और मादक सोमरस तैयार किया जाता है. हे सोम! आप का यह आनंददायी रस देवताओं तक अवश्य पहुंचे. (३)

Sweet and intoxicating somersa is prepared for Indra. O Mon! This blissful juice of yours must reach the gods. (3)
एष प्र कोशे मधुमाँ अचिक्रददिन्द्रस्य वज्रो वपुषो वपुष्टमः । अभ्यॄ३तस्य सुदुघा घृतश्चुतो वाश्रा अर्षन्ति पयसा च घेनवः ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप का रस इंद्र के वज्र की भांति बहुत ही बलवान और मीठा है. यह रस ध्वनि करता हुआ द्रोणकलश में प्रवेश करे. सोमरस की धाराएं फलों को मधुर बनाने वाली, जल बरसाने वाली व दुधारू गायों के समान आवाज करने वाली हैं. (३)

O Mon! Your juice is very strong and sweet like Indra's thunderbolt. This juice should make a sound and enter the dronakalsh. The streams of Someras are sweet to make fruits sweet, rain water and make a sound like milch cows. (3)
सखाय आ नि षीदत पुनानाय प्र गायत । शिशुं न यज्ञैः परि भूषत श्रिये ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमानो! आप हमारे मित्र हैं. आप आइए व बैठिए. आप सोम को छानते समय की जाने वाली स्तुति गाइए. जैसे बच्चे को आभूषणों से सजाया जाता है, वैसे ही आप हवि और यज्ञ के अन्य साधनों से सोम को सजाइए. (३)

O hosts! You are our friend. You come and sit down. Sing praises while filtering the Mon. Just as the child is decorated with ornaments, so you decorate Soma with Havi and other means of yajna. (3)
आ सोता परि षिञ्चताश्वं न स्तोममप्तुरँ रजस्तुरम् । वनप्रक्षमुदप्रुतम् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमानो! सोम घोड़े जैसे वेगवान व स्तुति करने योग्य हैं. वे पानी की तरह प्रवहमान (बहने वाले) हैं तथा प्रकाश की किरणों की तरह कहीं भी शीघ्र पहुंचने वाले हैं. आप सोमरस को निचोड़िए और उसी में जल मिलाइए. उस के बाद उसे गो दूध से सींचिए. (३)

O hosts! Som is as fast and praiseworthy as a horse. They are flowing like water and are going to reach anywhere quickly like rays of light. You squeeze the somers and add water to it. After that, irrigate it with go milk. (3)
वृषा पवस्व धारया मरुत्वते च मत्सरः । विश्वा दधान ओजसा ॥ (३)

हे सोम! आप गाढ़ीगाढ़ी धाराओं से यजमान के मटकों में पधारिए. आप उन इंद्र को प्रसन्न कीजिए, जिन की मरुद्गण भी सेवा करते हैं. आप इंद्र की सामर्थ्य और बढ़ाइए और यजमानों की मनोकामनाएं पूरी कीजिए. (३)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You come from the thick streams to the host's matkas. Please the Indra, whom even the deserts serve. Increase the power of Indra and fulfill the wishes of the hosts. (3)
