इन्द्र ज्येष्ठं न आ भर ओजिष्ठं पुपुरि श्रवः । यद्दिधृक्षेम वज्रहस्त रोदसी ओभे सुशिप्र पप्राः ॥ (१)

हे इंद्र! आप वज्रपाणि (हाथ में वज्र धारण करने वाले) हैं. आप सुंदर ठुड्डी वाले हैं. आप हमें यश और बलदायी अन्न प्रदान कीजिए. आप हमें स्वर्गलोक और पृथ्वीलोक दोनों को पुष्ट बनाने वाला धन प्रदान कीजिए. (१)

O Indra! You are vajrapani (one who holds vajra in hand). You're beautiful chin. You give us fame and strong food. You give us the wealth that strengthens both heaven and earth. (1)
त्वमेतदधारयः कृष्णासु रोहिणीषु च । परुष्णीषु रुशत्पयः ॥ (१)

मयि वर्चो अथो यशोऽथो यज्ञस्य यत्पयः । परमेष्ठी प्रजापतिर्दिवि द्यामिव दृँहतु ॥ (१)

प्रजाओं का पालन करने वाले प्रजापति स्वर्गलोक में निवास करते हैं. वे हमें आत्मज्ञान व यश देने की कृपा करें. वे हमें यज्ञ से संबंध रखने वाली उत्तम हवि और अन्न सामग्री प्रदान करने की कृपा करें. (१)
EN English Translation
Prajapati, who follows the subjects, resides in heaven. May they be pleased to give us enlightenment and fame. May they please provide us with the best food and food items related to the yajna. (1)
भ्राजन्त्यग्ने समिधान दीदिवो जिह्वा चरत्यन्तरासनि । स त्वं नो अग्ने पयसा वसुविद्रयिं वर्चो दृशेऽदाः ॥ (१)

O agni! You gleam. Your mouth is published. In that mouth, the tongue eats the havi inserted in the flame of agni. You are going to give money. You give food and delightful money. (1)
अग्न आयूँषि पवस आसुवोर्जमिषं च नः । आरे बाधस्व दुच्छुनाम् ॥ (१)

हे अग्नि! आप हमारे अन्नों की आयु बढ़ाने की कृपा कीजिए. आप हमारी आयु बढ़ाइए. हमारे बल की आयु बढ़ाइए. आप दुष्टों को हम से दूर कीजिए. (१)

O agni! Please increase the life of our grains. You increase our age. Increase the life of our force. You take the wicked away from us. (1)
इन्द्रो राजा जगतश्चर्षणीनामधिक्षमा विश्वरूपं यदस्य । ततो ददाति दाशुषे वसूनि चोदद्राध उपस्तुतं चिदर्वाक् ॥ (२)

इंद्र चराचर व पृथ्वी की सभी वस्तुओं और धनों के स्वामी हैं. वे दानदाता को सब प्रकार का धन देते हैं. अच्छी तरह स्तुति किए जाने पर वे पर्याप्त धन देते हैं. (२)

Indra is the master of all the things and wealth of the earth. They give all kinds of money to the donor. When praised well, they give enough money. (2)
अरूरुचदुषसः पृश्निरग्रिय उक्षा मिमेति भुवनेषु वाजयुः । मायाविनो ममिरे अस्य मायया नृचक्षसः पितरो गर्भमादधुः ॥ (२)

उषा के संबंधी सूर्य खास हैं. वे स्वयं प्रकाशमान और सब को प्रकाशित करने वाले हैं. वे ही जल बरसाने वाले मेघ का रूप भी हैं. वे ही आकाश में गर्जना करते हैं. बुद्धिमान देवताओं ने बुद्धि से इस जग को रचा. मनुष्यों को देखने वाले पितरों ने माता के पेट (गर्भ) में इसे स्थापित किया. (२)

O Mon! You are an enemy destroyer. You get the prescribed milk content for Havi. To attain immortality, you should get the best food and the best strength in heaven. (2)
वसन्त इन्नु रन्त्यो ग्रीष्म इन्नु रन्त्यः । वर्षाण्यनु शरदो हेमन्तः शिशिर इन्नु रन्त्यः ॥ (२)

वसंत ऋतु लुभावनी है. ग्रीष्म ऋतु लुभावनी है. वर्षा, शरद, हेमंत और शिशिर ऋतुएं भी लुभावनी हैं. (२)

Spring is breathtaking. Summer is breathtaking. The rainy, autumn, hemant and shishir seasons are also breathtaking. (2)
विभ्राङ्बृहत्पिबतु सोम्यं मध्वायुर्दधद्यज्ञपतावविह्रुतम् । वातजूतो यो अभिरक्षति त्मना प्रजाः पिपर्ति बहुधा वि राजति ॥ (२)

सूर्य बहुत प्रकाशमान हैं. वे खूब सोमरस पीएं. वे यजमानों को निष्कंटक रखें. उन्हें दीर्घायु करें. वायु सूर्य की किरणों को दूरदूर तक पहुंचाते हैं. उन से वे प्रजा का पालन करते हैं. अनेक प्रकार से प्रकाशित होने में समर्थ होते हैं. (२)

यस्येदमा रजोयुजस्तुजे जने वनँ स्वः । इन्द्रस्य रन्त्यं बृहत् ॥ (३)

तेजस्वी इंद्र का दान दानियों और स्वर्ग दोनों में प्रशंसनीय है. इंद्र का दान श्रेष्ठ और संतोष देने वाला है. (३)

Tejaswi Indra's donation is admirable in both the donors and in heaven. Indra's donation is superior and satisfying. (3)
इन्द्र इद्धर्योः सचा सम्मिश्ल आ वचोयुजा । इन्द्रो वज्री हिरण्ययः ॥ (३)

त्वमिमा ओषधीः सोम विश्वास्त्वमपो अजनयस्त्वं गाः । त्वमातनोरुर्वा३न्तरिक्षं त्वं ज्योतिषा वि तमो ववर्थ ॥ (३)

हे सोम! आप ने पृथ्वीलोक में मौजूद सारी ओषधियों को उत्पन्न किया है. आप ने जल को उत्पन्न किया है. आप ने गायों को उत्पन्न किया है. आप ने आकाश को फैलाया है. आप ने अंधकार को दूर किया है. (३)

O Mon! You have produced all the medicines present in the earth. You have created water. You have produced cows. You have spread the sky. You have removed darkness. (3)
सहस्रशीर्षा पुरुषः सहस्राक्षः सहस्रपात् । स भूमिँ सर्वतो वृत्वात्यतिष्ठद्दशाङ्गुलम् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पूर्ण पुरुष हजारों सिरों वाला है. वह हजारों आंखों वाला है, हजारों पैरों वाला है. वह सारे ब्रह्मांड को घेर सकने में समर्थ है. फिर भी वह बाकी रहता है. (३)

The full man is with thousands of heads. He is thousands of eyes, thousands of feet. He is capable of encircling the entire universe. Yet he remains. (3)
चित्रं देवानामुदगादनीकं चक्षुर्मित्रस्य वरुणस्याग्नेः । आप्रा द्यावापृथिवी अन्तरिक्षँ सूर्य आत्मा जगतस्तस्थुषश्च ॥ (३)

सूर्य देवताओं के दिव्य तेज का समूह हैं. वे मित्र, वरुण तथा अन्ने के नेत्र हैं. सूर्य के उगते ही स्वर्गलोक, पृथ्वीलोक और अंतरिक्षलोक आदि सभी उन के प्रकाश से जगमगा जाते हैं. (३)

The Sun is the set of divine radiances of the gods. They are friends, eyes of Varuna and Anne. As soon as the sun rises, heaven, earth and space world etc. are all illuminated by their light. (3)
उदुत्तमं वरुण पाशमस्मदवाधमं वि मध्यमँ श्रथाय । अथादित्य व्रते वयं तवानागसो अदितये स्याम ॥ (४)

हे वरुण! आप ऊपर और नीचे की ओर के बंधनों को हम से दूर कीजिए. आप हमारे सारे बंधनों को शिथिल कीजिए. जिस से हम आप के विधिविधान के अनुसार चल कर पाप और कष्ट रहित जीवन जी सकें. (४)

O Varuna! You remove the upward and downward bonds from us. You relax all our bonds. So that we can walk according to your law and live a life without sin and suffering. (4)
इन्द्र वाजेषु नोऽव सहस्रप्रधनेषु च । उग्र उग्राभिरूतिभिः ॥ (४)

हे इंद्र! आप अत्यंत बलवान हैं. आप को कोई नहीं हरा सकता. आप छोटे और बड़े सभी प्रकार के युद्धों में हमारी रक्षा कीजिए. (४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are very strong. No one can beat you. You protect us in all kinds of wars, big and small. (4)
अग्निमीडे पुरोहितं यज्ञस्य देवमृत्विजम् । होतारं रत्नधातमम् ॥ (४)

हम यजमान संसार का कल्याण करने की इच्छा रखते हैं. हम अग्नि की स्तुति करते हैं. वे यज्ञ में देवताओं के दूत हैं. हम यज्ञ में अग्नि प्रज्वलित करते हैं. वे हमें सुख और ऐश्वर्य प्रदान करते हैं. (४)

We wish to do the welfare of the host world. We praise agni. They are the messengers of the gods in the yajna. We ignite agni in the yajna. They give us happiness and opulence. (4)
त्रिपादूर्ध्व उदैत्पुरुषः पदोऽस्येहाभवत्पुनः । तथा विष्वङ् व्यक्रामदशनानशने अभि ॥ (४)

पूर्ण पुरुष तीन पैरों वाला है. वह ऊंचे स्थान पर वास करता है. इस पूर्ण पुरुष से ही सारा संसार पैदा होता है. चेतन और अचेतन सभी में इसी पूर्ण पुरुष का विस्तार है. यह विविध स्वरूपों वाला है. यह सर्वत्र व्याप्त है. (४)

The complete man is three legs. He lives in a high place. The whole world is born from this perfect man. The conscious and the unconscious are all the extensions of this perfect man. It has diverse formats. It is everywhere. (4)
आयं गौः पृश्निरक्रमीदसदन्मातरं पुरः । पितरं च प्रयन्त्स्वः ॥ (४)

सूर्य गतिशील व तेजस्वी हैं. वे उदित हो कर ऊपर स्थित हो जाते हैं. सब से पहले वे पृथ्वीलोक (माता), फिर स्वर्गलोक (पिता) फिर अंतरिक्षलोक को प्राप्त होते हैं. (४)

The sun is dynamic and bright. They rise and become located above. First of all, they attain earthland (mother), then heaven (father) and then space. (4)
त्वया वयं पवमानेन सोम भरे कृतं वि चिनुयाम शश्वत् । तन्नो मित्रो वरुणो मामहन्तामदितिः सिन्धुः पृथिवी उत द्यौः ॥ (५)

हे सोम! आप जग को पवित्र करने वाले हैं. आप की मदद से हम युद्ध में अपना कर्तव्य भलीभांति निबाह सकें. अदिति, मित्र, वरुण, पृथ्वी, सिंधु देवता तथा स्वर्गलोक हमें यशस्वी बनाने की कृपा करें. (५)

O Mon! You are going to sanctify the world. With your help, we can do our duty well in war. Aditi, Mitra, Varuna, Earth, Sindhu Devta and Heaven, please make us successful. (5)
प्रथश्च यस्य सप्रथश्च नामानुष्टुभस्य हविषो हविर्यत् । धातुर्द्युतानात्सवितुश्च विष्णो रथन्तरमा जभारा वसिष्ठः ॥ (५)

वसिष्ठ के पुत्र प्रथ एवं भरद्वाज के पुत्र सप्रथ के लिए अनुष्टुप् छंद में स्तुति करते हैं. उन के लिए श्रेष्ठ हवि समर्पित करते हैं. वसिष्ठ ऋषि ने रथंतर नामक सोम को धाता और सब को उत्पन्न करने वाले विष्णु से प्राप्त किया. (५)

Prath, the son of Vasishtha, and Sapratha, the son of Bharadwaj, praise him in anushtup verses. Dedicate the best to them. Vasishtha Rishi received Soma named Rathantar from Vishnu, who created and created everyone. (5)

पुरुष एवेदँ सर्वं यद्भूतं यच्च भाव्यम् । पादोऽस्य सर्वा भूतानि त्रिपादस्यामृतं दिवि ॥ (५)

भूत, वर्तमान और भविष्य तीनों का कर्ता पूर्ण पुरुष ही है. इस के तीन पैर अमर स्वर्गलोक में हैं. इस के शेष चौथे चरण में सारे प्राणी हैं. (५)

The creator of the past, present and future is the complete man. Its three legs are in immortal paradise. The remaining fourth stage of this is all beings. (5)
अन्तश्चरति रोचनास्य प्राणादपानती । व्यख्यन्महिषो दिवम् ॥ (५)

सूर्य का प्रकाश अपनी किरणों से आकाश में घूमता है. सूर्य के उगने पर ये किरणें दिखती हैं और अस्त होने पर गायब हो जाती हैं. सूर्य अंतरिक्षलोक को विशेष रूप से प्रकाशित करते हैं. (५)

Sunlight rotates in the sky with its rays. These rays appear when the sun rises and disappear when it sets. The Sun illuminates space space exclusively. (5)

हे देवताओ! आप इस सोम को बलवान बनाइए, ताकि वे हमारी मनोकामनाएं पूरी कर सकें. हमें बलवान बना सकें. (६)

नियुत्वान्वायवा गह्ययँ शुक्रो अयामि ते । गन्तासि सुन्वतो गृहम् ॥ (६)

हे वायु! आप अपने वाहन से पधारिए. आप के लिए चमकता हुआ सोमरस तैयार किया गया है. आप विधिविधान से सोमरस तैयार करने वाले यजमान के घर पधारते हैं. आप हमारे यहां पधारिए. (६)

O wind! You come by your vehicle. Glazed somers has been prepared for you. You come to the house of the host who prepares someras by law. You come to our place. (6)
समन्या यन्त्युपयन्त्यन्याः समानमूर्वं नद्यस्पृणन्ति । तमू शुचिँ शुचयो दीदिवाँसमपान्नपातमुप यन्त्यापः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
बरसात का पानी जमीन पर गिर कर जमीन के पानी के साथ मिल जाता है. ये दोनों पानी नदी का रूप धारण कर लेते हैं और समुद्र में मिल जाते हैं. वहां ये पानी समुद्री अग्नि को आनंद देते हैं. इसी प्रकार सोमरस पानी में मिल कर आनंदित करता है. (६)
EN English Translation
Rainwater falls on the ground and mixes with the ground water. Both these waters take the form of a river and join the sea. There these waters give pleasure to the sea agni. Similarly, Someras enjoys by joining water. (6)
तावानस्य महिमा ततो ज्यायाँश्च पूरुषः । उतामृतत्वस्येशानो यदन्नेनातिरोहति ॥ (६)

पूर्ण पुरुष जड़चेतन और समस्त पृथ्वी से भी विस्तृत (बड़ा) है. वह अमरता का स्वामी है. अन्न से बढ़ने वाले प्राणियों का भी स्वामी है. (६)

The whole man is the root conscious and wider than the whole earth. He is the master of immortality. He is also the master of animals growing from food. (6)
त्रिँषद्धाम वि राजति वाक्पतङ्गाय धीयते । प्रति वस्तोरह द्युभिः ॥ (६)

दिन की तीस घड़ियों तक सूर्य अपनी किरणों से प्रकाशित होते हैं. इन सूर्य के लिए हर एक मुख वेदवाणी उचारता है (स्तुति करता है). (६)
EN English Translation
Up to thirty clocks of the day, the sun is illuminated by its rays. For these suns, every mouth speaks (praises) the Vedas. (6)
