उपास्मै गायता नरः पवमानायेन्दवे । अभि देवाँ इयक्षते ॥ (१)

हे यजमानो! आप देवताओं के लिए यज्ञ करना चाहते हैं. आप छान कर साफ किए गए सोमरस की स्तुति कीजिए. (१)

O hosts! You want to perform yajna for the gods. You praise the somers that have been filtered and cleaned. (1)
अग्न आ याहि वीतये गृणानो हव्यदातये । नि होता सत्सि बर्हिषि ॥ (१)

हे अग्नि! हम आप की स्तुति करते हैं. देवताओं को हवि पहुंचाने के लिए हम आप का आह्वान करते हैं. आप यज्ञ में कुश के आसन पर विराजिए. (१)

O agni! We praise you. We call upon you to convey the gods. You sit on the seat of Kush in the yajna. (1)
उच्चा ते जातमन्धसो दिवि सद्भूम्या ददे । उग्रँ शर्म महि श्रवः ॥ (१)

हे सोम! स्वर्गलोक में आप ने जन्म पाया है. आप शक्तिवर्धक, सुखदायी व यशदायी हैं. यजमान भूमिलोक पर अन्न के रूप में आप को प्राप्त करते हैं. (१)

O Mon! You have attained birth in heaven. You are powerful, happy and successful. The hosts receive you in the form of food on the land. (1)
अभि त्वा शूर नोनुमोऽदुग्धा इव धेनवः । ईशानमस्य जगतः स्वर्दृशमीशानमिन्द्र तस्थुषः ॥ (१)

हे इंद्र! आप शक्तिमान, सर्वज्ञाता व जगत् के स्वामी हैं. जैसे बिना दुही हुई गाएं रंभाती हुई अपने बछड़ों की ओर भागती हैं, वैसे ही हम आप के दर्शन और कृपा के लिए लालायित हैं. (१)

O Indra! You are powerful, omniscient and the master of the world. Just as undoing cows run towards their calves, so we yearn for your vision and grace. (1)
स्वादिष्ठया मदिष्ठया पवस्व सोम धारया । इन्द्राय पातवे सुतः ॥ (१)

इंद्र के पीने के लिए स्वादिष्ट और मीठा सोमरस तैयार किया गया है. वह सोमरस अपनी पूर्ण मददायी धाराओं से इंद्र के लिए झरे. (१)

Delicious and sweet somers have been prepared for Indra's drinking. That Someras flew to Indra with his full-fledged streams. (1)
यज्ञायज्ञा वो अग्नये गिरागिरा च दक्षसे । प्रप्र वयममृतं जातवेदसं प्रियं मित्रं न शँसिषम् ॥ (१)

हे यजमानो! आप उपासना करने वाले है. आप को हर यज्ञ में प्रज्वलित हो कर बढ़ने वाले अग्नि की वाणी से स्तुति करनी चाहिए. अग्नि अमर, ज्ञानी व हमारे मित्र हैं. हम उन की उपासना करते हैं. (१)

O hosts! You are going to worship. You should praise the agni that is ignited in every yajna. Agni is immortal, knowledgeable and our friend. We worship them. (1)
अभि ते मधुना पयोऽथर्वाणो अशिश्रयुः । देवं देवाय देवयु ॥ (२)

सोमरस दिव्य है. यह देवताओं को प्रिय है. इसे देवताओं ने देवताओं के लिए खोजा है. अथर्वा ऋषियों ने गाय का दूध मिला कर इसे यजमान के लिए तैयार किया है. (२)

Somerus is divine. It is dear to the gods. It has been discovered by the gods for the gods. Atharva rishis have mixed cow's milk and prepared it for the host. (2)
तं त्वा समिद्भिरङ्गिरो घृतेन वर्धयामसि । बृहच्छोचा यविष्ठ्य ॥ (२)

हे अग्नि! आप सुंदर व तरुण (युवा) हैं. हम समिधा और घी से आप को प्रज्वलित करते हैं. आप प्रज्वलित होइए. (२)

O agni! You are beautiful and young (young). We ignite you with samidha and ghee. You ignite. (2)
स न इन्द्राय यज्यवे वरुणाय मरुद्भ्यः । वरिवोवित्परि स्रव ॥ (२)

हे सोम! आप धनदाता हैं. आप इंद्र, वरुण और मरुद्गण के लिए प्रवाहित होने की कृपा कीजिए. (२)

O Mon! You are a money giver. Please flow for Indra, Varuna and Marudgana. (2)
न त्वावाँ अन्यो दिव्यो न पार्थिवो न जातो न जनिष्यते । अश्वायन्तो मघवन्निन्द्र वाजिनो गव्यन्तस्त्वा हवामहे ॥ (२)

हे इंद्र! आप धनवान हैं. आप जैसा न कोई स्वर्गलोक और न इस पृथ्वीलोक में हुआ है और न होगा. हम गोधन व धनधान्य के लिए आप की स्तुति करते हैं. (२)

O Indra! You are rich. No one like you has happened in heaven or earth, nor will it be. We praise you for godhan and wealth. (2)
रक्षोहा विश्वचर्षणिरभि योनिमयोहते । द्रोणे सधस्थमासदत् ॥ (२)

सोम राक्षसनाशक हैं. जगद्रष्टा हैं. वे सोने के द्रोणकलश में विराजमान हो कर यज्ञस्थल में प्रतिष्ठित हो गए. (२)

Som is a demon destroyer. Jagadrashta hai. He sat in a gold dronakalash and became revered in the yagyasthal. (2)
ऊर्जो नपातँ स हिनायमस्मयुर्दाशेम हव्यदातये । भुवद्वाजेष्वविता भुवद्वृध उत त्राता तनूनाम् ॥ (२)

अग्नि लगातार अन्न और शक्तिदाता हैं. वे हमारा कल्याण चाहते हैं. हम देवताओं तक हवि पहुंचाने के लिए अग्नि देवता को हवि प्रदान करते हैं. वे युद्धों में हमारे रक्षक और हमारे लिए प्रगतिकारी हैं. वे हमारे पुत्रों के भी रक्षक होने की कृपा करें. हम उन की उपासना करते हैं. (२)

Agni is constantly the giver of food and strength. They want our welfare. We offer havi to the agni god to convey havi to the gods. They are our protectors in wars and progressors for us. May they be the protectors of our sons too. We worship them. (2)
स नः पवस्व शं गवे शं जनाय शमर्वते । शँ राजन्नोषधीभ्यः ॥ (३)

हे सोम! आप हितकारी हैं. आप हमारी गौओं को सुख दीजिए. आप हमारे पुत्रपौत्रों (आने वाली पीढ़ियों) व घोड़ों को सुख दीजिए. आप ओषधियों को हमारे लिए कल्याणकारी बनाइए. (३)

O Mon! You are beneficial. You give happiness to our cows. Give happiness to our sons and grandsons (future generations) and horses. You make medicines welfare for us. (3)
स नः पृथु श्रवाय्यमच्छा देव विवाससि । बृहदग्ने सुवीर्यम् ॥ (३)

हे अग्नि! आप हमें यश और यशदायी क्षमता दोनों ही प्रदान कीजिए. लोग उस यश के बारे में सुनने (जानने) के लिए इच्छुक रहें. (३)

O agni! You give us both fame and successful ability. People should be interested to hear (know) about that fame. (3)
एना विश्वान्यर्य आ द्युम्नानि मानुषाणाम् । सिषासन्तो वनामहे ॥ (३)

हे सोम! आप की कृपा से हम ने मनुष्य को प्राप्त होने योग्य सब सुख (वैभव) पाया है. फिर भी हम सेवा भावना से आप की स्तुति करते हैं. (३)

O Mon! By your grace, we have found all the happiness (splendour) that man can get. Yet we praise you with a spirit of service. (3)
कया नश्चित्र आ भुवदूती सदावृधः सखा । कया शचिष्ठया वृता ॥ (३)

इंद्र सदैव बढ़ने वाले हैं. वे विलक्षण, अत्यंत शक्तिमान व हमारे सखा हैं. हम किस बुद्धि और किन संतुष्टिदायी पदार्थो से आप की उपासना करें? किनकिन शक्तियों से आप हमारे सहयोगी होंगे? (३)

Indra is always going to grow. He is extraordinary, very powerful and our friend. With what wisdom and what satisfying substances should we worship you? By what powers will you be our ally? (3)
वरिवोधातमो भुवो मँहिष्ठो वृत्रहन्तमः । पर्षि राधो मघोनाम् ॥ (३)

हे सोम! आप धनदाता हैं. आप शत्रुओं के प्रबल नाशक हैं. आप धनवान शन्रुओं के पास मौजूद रहने वाले धन हमें प्रदान कीजिए. (३)

O Mon! You are a money giver. You are the strong destroyer of enemies. You give us the money that the rich people have. (3)
एह्यू षु ब्रवाणि तेऽग्न इत्थेतरा गिरः । एभिर्वर्धास इन्दुभिः ॥ (३)

हे अग्नि! आप आइए. हम आप के लिए विधिविधान से स्तोत्र उचारते हैं. आप हमारी और दूसरों की स्तुतियों को सुनिए. सोमरस आप को बढ़ोतरी प्रदान करें. (३)

O agni! You come. We collect hymns from the statute for you. Listen to our praise and others. Somers provide you with hikes. (3)
दविद्युतत्या रुचा परिष्टोभन्त्या कृपा । सोमाः शुक्रा गवाशिरः ॥ (४)

सोमरस बहुत चमकीला है. इस की धारा सब ओर टपकती हुई आवाज करती है. साफ निथारे हुए सोमरस को गाय के दूध में मिलाया जाता है. (४)

Somerus is very bright. The stream of this makes a dripping sound all around. Cleaned somerus is added to cow's milk. (4)
आ नो मित्रावरुणा घृतैर्गव्यूतिमुक्षतम् । मध्वा रजाँसि सुक्रतू ॥ (४)

हे मित्र और वरुण! आप श्रेष्ठ कर्म करने वाले हैं. आप हमारे गौ स्थानों को घी, दूध से सींचने की कृपा कीजिए. आप हमारे लिए परलोक के निवास स्थानों को भी श्रेष्ठ, मधुर रसों से सींचने की कृपा कीजिए. (४)

Hey friend and Varun! You are going to do the best deeds. Please irrigate our cow places with ghee, milk. Please water for us the abodes of the hereafter with the best, sweet juices. (4)
पुनानः सोम धारयापो वसानो अर्षसि । आ रत्नधा योनिमृतस्य सीदस्युत्सो देवो हिरण्ययः ॥ (४)

हे सोम! आप सोने की तरह चमकते हैं. आप यज्ञ स्थान में विराजिए. पानी मिला कर छाने जाने पर धारा रूप में आप कलश में पधारते हैं. आप धन देने वाले हैं. (४)

O Mon! You shine like gold. You sit in the place of sacrifice. When you add water and filter it, you come to the kalash in the form of a stream. You are going to give money. (4)
कस्त्वा सत्यो मदानां मँहिष्ठो मत्सदन्धसः । दृढा चिदारुजे वसु ॥ (४)

सोम आदरणीय व सत्यनिष्ठों के लिए आनंददायी हैं. उन्हें आनंद देने में वे सब से आगे हैं. सोम बलवान शत्रुओं के धन को नष्ट करने के लिए इंद्र को उत्साह और सामर्थ्य प्रदान करते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
Som is a delight for the respected and sincere. They are ahead of everyone in giving them pleasure. Soma gives indra enthusiasm and strength to destroy the wealth of strong enemies. (4)
पवस्व मधुमत्तम इन्द्राय सोम क्रतुवित्तमो मदः । महि द्युक्षतमो मदः ॥ (४)

हे सोम! आप अत्यंत मधुर हैं. आप यजमान को कर्मो का फल देते हैं. आप प्रकाशमान व तृप्तिदायी हैं. आप इंद्र के लिए पात्र में छन कर तैयार हो जाइए. (४)

O Mon! You are extremely sweet. You give the host the fruits of deeds. You are bright and satisfying. You get ready by filtering in the vessel for Indra. (4)
यत्र क्व च ते मनो दक्षं दधस उत्तरम् । तत्रा योनिं कृणवसे ॥ (४)

हे अग्नि! आप का मन जहां कहीं भी, जिस पर भी है, आप उसे श्रेष्ठ बल और श्रेष्ठ आवास प्रदान करने की कृपा करें. (४)

O agni! Wherever your mind is, wherever you are, please provide it with the best strength and best accommodation. (4)
हिन्वानो हेतृभिर्हित आ वाजं वाज्यक्रमीत् । सीदन्तो वनुषो यथा ॥ (५)

जैसे युद्धों में शूरवीर की प्रशंसा होती है व उसे प्रतिष्ठा मिलती है, वैसे ही यज्ञ में सोमरस की यजमान प्रशंसा करते हैं व यज्ञ भूमि में सोम को प्रतिष्ठा मिलती है. (५)

Just as the knight is praised and gets prestige in wars, in the same way, the host praises Someras in the yajna and Soma gets prestige in the yajna land. (5)
उरुशँसा नमोवृधा मह्ना दक्षस्य राजथः । द्राघिष्ठाभिः शुचिव्रता ॥ (५)

हे मित्रावरुण! आप पवित्र कार्य करने वाले हैं. आप अनेक लोगों से प्रशंसित हैं. हवि के अन्न से आप बढ़ते हैं. आप अपनी शक्ति से सुशोभित होते हैं. (५)

This friend! You are going to do holy work. You are admired by many people. You grow with the food of Havi. You are adorned with your power. (5)
दुहान ऊधर्दिव्यं मधु प्रियं प्रत्नँ सधस्थमासदत् । आपृच्छ्यं धरुणं वाज्यर्षसि नृभिर्धौतो विचक्षणः ॥ (५)

यजमानों ने सोमरस छाना है. यह मधुर और आनंददायी है. यह अपने प्राचीन स्थान पर पहुंचता है. हे सोम! आप खास निरीक्षण करने वाले हैं. जो यजमान अच्छा यज्ञ करने की भावना रखते हैं, आप उस यजमान पर अपनी कृपा दृष्टि रखते हैं. (५)

The hosts have filtered someras. It is sweet and enjoyable. It reaches its ancient place. O Mon! You are going to do a special inspection. The host who has the feeling of performing a good yajna, you keep your grace on that host. (5)

हे इंद्र! आप हमारे मित्र व यजमानों के संरक्षक हैं. आप हमारी सैकड़ों प्रकार से रक्षा करने के लिए अच्छी तैयारी कर लीजिए. (५)

O Indra! You are our friend and guardian of the hosts. You make good preparations to protect us in hundreds of ways. (5)
यस्य ते पीत्वा वृषभो वृषायतेऽस्य पीत्वा स्वर्विदः । स सुप्रकेतो अभ्यक्रमीदिषोऽच्छा वाजं नैतशः ॥ (५)

हे सोम! आप बहुत शक्तिमान हैं. आप को पी कर इंद्र और शक्तिमान हो जाते हैं. आप को पी कर बुद्धिमान भी प्रसन्न होते हैं. आप के प्रभाव से इंद्र युद्धों में घोड़े की तरह शत्रुओं के धनों को शीघ्र ही अपने अधीन कर लेते हैं. (५)

O Mon! You are very powerful. By drinking you, Indra becomes powerful and powerful. The wise are also happy to drink you. With your influence, Indra soon subdues the wealth of enemies like a horse in wars. (5)
न हि ते पूर्तमक्षिपद्भुवन्नेमानां पते । अथा दुवो वनवसे ॥ (५)

O agni! You protect the host who protects the rules, who follows them. Follow them. You accept our service. Your sharpness should not harm our eyes in any way. (5)
