स्वादिष्ठया मदिष्ठया पवस्व सोम धारया । इन्द्राय पातवे सुतः ॥ (१)

इंद्र के पीने के लिए स्वादिष्ट और मीठा सोमरस तैयार किया गया है. वह सोमरस अपनी पूर्ण मददायी धाराओं से इंद्र के लिए झरे. (१)

Delicious and sweet somers have been prepared for Indra's drinking. That Someras flew to Indra with his full-fledged streams. (1)
रक्षोहा विश्वचर्षणिरभि योनिमयोहते । द्रोणे सधस्थमासदत् ॥ (२)

सोम राक्षसनाशक हैं. जगद्रष्टा हैं. वे सोने के द्रोणकलश में विराजमान हो कर यज्ञस्थल में प्रतिष्ठित हो गए. (२)

वरिवोधातमो भुवो मँहिष्ठो वृत्रहन्तमः । पर्षि राधो मघोनाम् ॥ (३)

हे सोम! आप धनदाता हैं. आप शत्रुओं के प्रबल नाशक हैं. आप धनवान शन्रुओं के पास मौजूद रहने वाले धन हमें प्रदान कीजिए. (३)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are a money giver. You are the strong destroyer of enemies. You give us the money that the rich people have. (3)
पवस्व मधुमत्तम इन्द्राय सोम क्रतुवित्तमो मदः । महि द्युक्षतमो मदः ॥ (४)

हे सोम! आप अत्यंत मधुर हैं. आप यजमान को कर्मो का फल देते हैं. आप प्रकाशमान व तृप्तिदायी हैं. आप इंद्र के लिए पात्र में छन कर तैयार हो जाइए. (४)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are extremely sweet. You give the host the fruits of deeds. You are bright and satisfying. You get ready by filtering in the vessel for Indra. (4)
यस्य ते पीत्वा वृषभो वृषायतेऽस्य पीत्वा स्वर्विदः । स सुप्रकेतो अभ्यक्रमीदिषोऽच्छा वाजं नैतशः ॥ (५)

हे सोम! आप बहुत शक्तिमान हैं. आप को पी कर इंद्र और शक्तिमान हो जाते हैं. आप को पी कर बुद्धिमान भी प्रसन्न होते हैं. आप के प्रभाव से इंद्र युद्धों में घोड़े की तरह शत्रुओं के धनों को शीघ्र ही अपने अधीन कर लेते हैं. (५)

O Mon! You are very powerful. By drinking you, Indra becomes powerful and powerful. The wise are also happy to drink you. With your influence, Indra soon subdues the wealth of enemies like a horse in wars. (5)
इन्द्रमच्छ सुता इमे वृषणं यन्तु हरयः । श्रुष्टे जातास इन्दवः स्वर्विदः ॥ (६)

अयं भराय सानसिरिन्द्राय पवते सुतः । सोमो जैत्रस्य चेतति यथा विदे ॥ (७)

Everyone knows that somers is worth consuming. It has been filtered and prepared. It has been filled in matkas for Indra. Someras gives indra, who wants to win, a lot of enthusiasm in wars. (7)
अस्येदिन्द्रो मदेष्वा ग्राभं गृभ्णाति सानसिम् । वज्रं च वृषणं भरत्समप्सुजित् ॥ (८)

सेवन करने योग्य सोम को पी कर और प्रसन्न हो कर इंद्र धनुष धारण करते हैं. जल प्रवाह को जीतने वाले इंद्र व्र को धारण करते हैं. (८)

Indra wears a bow by drinking the consumeable Soma and being pleased. Indra, who conquers the flow of water, holds the vr. (8)
पुरोजिती वो अन्धसः सुताय मादयित्नवे । अप श्वानँ श्नथिष्टन सखायो दीर्घजिह्व्यम् ॥ (९)

हे यजमानो! निस्संदेह यह सोमरस जीत दिलाने वाला है. यह आप पूरी तरह मान लीजिए. यह प्रसन्नतादायी है. आप इस की ओर लपकने वाले ल॑ंबीलंबी जीभ वाले कुत्तों (राक्षसों) को इस से दूर भगाइए. (९)
EN English Translation
O hosts! Undoubtedly, this Somers is going to win. Assume this you totally. It is pleasing. You drive the long-tongued dogs (monsters) who jump towards it away from it. (9)
यो धारया पावकया परिप्रस्यन्दते सुतः । इन्दुरश्वो न कृत्व्यः ॥ (१०)

यज्ञ में सोमरस यजमान का सहायक है. यह पारदर्शी धाराओं से घोड़े की तरह वेगवान हो कर कलश में जाता है. (१०)

Someras is the helper of the host in the yajna. It moves like a horse from transparent streams and goes to the urn. (10)
तं दुरोषमभी नरः सोमं विश्वाच्या धिया । यज्ञाय सन्त्वद्रयः ॥ (११)

हे यजमानो! सोम दुष्टों का विनाश करने वाले हैं. आप उन को आमंत्रित कीजिए. आप यज्ञ का आदर करते हुए सब के कल्याण की भावना व्यक्त कीजिए. (११)
EN English Translation
O hosts! Soma is the destroyer of the wicked. You invite them. You respect the yajna and express the feeling of welfare of all. (11)
अभि प्रियाणि पवते चनोहितो नामानि यह्वो अधि येषु वर्धते । आ सूर्यस्य बृहतो बृहन्नधि रथं विष्वञ्चमरुहद्विचक्षणः ॥ (१२)

हे सोम! आप कल्याणकारी, अन्न स्वरूप व संसार को तृप्ति देने वाले हैं. आप जल को सब तरह से पवित्र करने वाले हैं. अंतरिक्षलोक के जल में सोम ज्यादा बढ़ते हैं. सोम सर्वद्रष्टा हैं. ये सूर्य के सब ओर जा सकने में समर्थ रथ पर चढ़ते हैं. (१२)

O Mon! You are a benefactor, food and a satiator to the world. You are going to sanctify water in all ways. Soma grows more in the water of space. Som is the almighty. They climb on chariots capable of going all sides of the sun. (12)
ऋतस्य जिह्वा पवते मधु प्रियं वक्ता पतिर्धियो अस्या अदाभ्यः । दधाति पुत्रः पित्रोरपीच्या३ं नाम तृतीयमधि रोचनं दिवः ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सोम तो जैसे यज्ञ की जीभ ही हैं. सोमरस छनते समय आवाज करता है. यह मीठा और प्रिय रस वाला है. सोम यज्ञ संबंधी क्रियाकलापों को जानने वाले व निर्भय हैं. वे अपने मातापिता का नाम नहीं जानते. ये यजमान द्वारा तैयार किए जाते हैं. ये स्वर्गलोक को चमचमाने वाले हैं. ये छन कर तैयार हो जाने पर सोमजयी नामक तीसरे नाम को ग्रहण करते हैं. (१३)

Soma is like the tongue of the yajna. Somers makes a sound while filtering. It is sweet and sweet juice. Som is aware of yajna related activities and fearless. They don't know their parents' names. These are prepared by the host. They are the ones who shine heaven. When they are filtered and ready, they take the third name called Somjayi. (13)
अव द्युतानः कलशाँ अचिक्रदन्नृभिर्येमाणः कोश आ हिरण्यये । अभी ऋतस्य दोहना अनूषताधि त्रिपृष्ठ उषसो वि राजसि ॥ (१४)

यजमान सोने के कलश में सोमरस को छानते हैं. कलश में जाते समय सोमरस आवाज करता है. इस सोमरस की यजमान उपासना करते हैं. सोमरस सुबह, दोपहर और शाम-इन तीनों सवनों (संध्याओं) में प्रकाशित होता है. (१४)
EN English Translation
The hosts filter someras in a gold urn. Someras makes a sound while going to the urn. The host worships this Someras. Someras is illuminated in the morning, afternoon and evening in these three savanas (evenings). (14)
