स॒मिधा॒ग्निं दु॑वस्यत घृ॒तैर्बो॑धय॒ताति॑थिम् । आस्मि॑न् ह॒व्या जु॑होतन ॥ (१)

हे यजमानो! आप समिधा से अग्नि को प्रज्वलित करने व उस को जगाने की कृपा कीजिए. हे यजमानो! आप अतिथि से अग्नि को प्रज्वलित करने व उस में हवि प्रदान करने की कृपा कीजिए. (१)

O hosts! Please ignite the agni with samidha and wake it up. O hosts! Please ask the guest to ignite the agni and give it a boost. (1)
सुस॑मिद्धाय शो॒चिषे॑ घृ॒तं ती॒व्रं जु॑होतन । अ॒ग्नये॑ जा॒तवे॑दसे ॥ (२)

हे यजमानो! आप समिधाओं से अच्छी तरह प्रज्वलित सर्वज्ञ अग्नि में पवित्र घी की आहुति प्रदान करने की कृपा कीजिए. (२)

O hosts! Please offer holy ghee in the well-lit omniscient agni from the samidhas. (2)
तं त्वा॑ स॒मिद्भि॑रङ्गिरो घृ॒तेन॑ वर्द्धयामसि । बृ॒हच्छो॑चा यविष्ठ्य ॥ (३)

हे अग्नि! हम आप को समिधाओं व घी से प्रज्वलित कर बढ़ाते हैं. आप विशाल जौमयी ज्वालाओं से ऊंचे और प्रकाशित होने की कृपा कीजिए. (३)

O agni! We increase you by igniting you with samidhas and ghee. Please be exalted and illuminated by the great flames. (3)
उप॑ त्वाग्ने ह॒विष्म॑तीर्घृ॒ताची॑र्यन्तु हर्यत । जु॒षस्व॑ स॒मिधो॒ मम॑ ॥ (४)

हे अग्नि! हवि एवं घृत वाली आहुतियां आप तक पहुंचें, आप का मन हरं. आप हमारे द्वारा भेंट की गई समिधाओं को स्वीकार करने की कृपा करें. (४)

O agni! Let the sacrifices of havi and ghee reach you, lose your mind. Please accept the memories presented by us. (4)
भूर्भुवः॒ स्वर्द्यौरि॑व भू॒म्ना पृ॑थि॒वीव॑ वरि॒म्णा । तस्या॑स्ते पृथिवि देवयजनि पृ॒ष्ठेऽग्निम॑न्ना॒दम॒न्नाद्या॒याद॑धे ॥ (५)

हे अग्नि! आप भू, भुव (अंतरिक्ष) और स्वर्गलोक में विद्यमान हैं. पृथ्वी यज्ञ करने के लिए श्रेष्ठ स्थान प्रदान करती है. हम उसी पृथ्वी पर यज्ञ करने के लिए उस से पूर्व यज्ञ-वेदिका पर अग्नि को स्थापित करते हैं. हम अन्न से बल और स्वर्गलोक से दिव्यता धारण करें. हम पृथ्वी के समान महिमा प्राप्त करें. (५)

O agni! You exist in the earth, the earth (space) and the heavenland. The earth provides the best place to perform yajna. We install agni on the yajna-vedika before that to perform yajna on the same earth. Let us take strength from food and divinity from heaven. Let us attain glory like earth. (5)
आयं गौः पृश्नि॑रक्रमी॒दस॑दन् मा॒तरं॑ पु॒रः । पि॒तरं॑ च प्र॒यन्त्स्वः॑ ॥ (६)

अग्नि देव सर्वत्र भ्रमणशील व बहुरंगी लपटों वाले हैं. वह पृथ्वी माता के पास आसन पर विराजमान हैं. यज्ञ में वह प्रयलपूर्वक स्वर्गलोक पिता के पास पहुंच गए हैं. (६)

Agni Dev is everywhere in a moving and multi-colored flames. He is sitting on a seat near Mother Earth. In the yajna, he has reached heavenly father. (6)
अ॒न्तश्च॑रति रोच॒नास्य प्रा॒णाद॑पान॒ती । व्य॑ख्यन् महि॒षो दिव॑म् ॥ (७)

अग्नि का तेज प्राणवायु और अपानवायु के रूप में सभी प्राणियों के भीतर संचरण करता है. वे अपने उस तेज को और फेलाते हुए स्वर्गलोक को प्रकाशित करते हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
The fastness of agni circulates within all beings in the form of oxygen and oxygen. They further illuminate the heavens by spreading their glory. (7)
त्रि॒ꣳश॒द्धाम॒ विरा॑जति॒ वाक् प॑त॒ङ्गाय॑ धीयते । प्रति॒ वस्तो॒रह॒ द्युभिः॑ ॥ (८)

"वाणी रूप में अग्नि का तेज दस के तिगुने (यानी तीस) स्थानों पर शोभा पाता है अर्थात् वाणी दिनरात के तीस मुहूर्त और महीने के तीस दिन के रूप में शोभित होती है. सूर्य के लिए भी स्तुति के रूप में वाणी का तेज धारण किया जाता है. दिन में प्रकाश रूप में अग्नि के लिए वाणी के रूप में स्तोत्र उचारे जाते हैं. स॒जूर्दे॒वेन॑ सवि॒त्रा स॒जू रात्र्येन्द्र॑वत्या । जु॒षा॒णोऽअ॒ग्निर्वे॑तु॒ स्वाहा॑ । स॒जूर्दे॒वेन॑ सवि॒त्रा स॒जूरु॒षसेन्द्र॑वत्या । जु॒षा॒णः सूर्यो॑ वेतु॒ स्वाहा॑ ॥ (१०)

सविता देव सहित और इं्रयुक्त रात्रि सहित अग्नि को आहुति प्रदान करते हैं. इन देवताओं से युक्त (जुड़े हुए) अग्नि इस आहुति को ग्रहण करने की कृपा करें. सविता देव सहित इंद्रयुक्त उषा देवी के साथ सूर्य के लिए यह आहुति प्रदान करते हैं. सूर्य इस आहुति को स्वीकार करने की कृपा करें. (१०)

Savita dev along with the inner night offer sacrifices to agni. May agni containing these deities be pleased to receive this sacrifice. Along with Savita Dev, Indra-yukta usha devi offers this sacrifice to the Sun. May the Sun please accept this sacrifice. (10)
उ॒प॒प्र॒यन्तो॑ऽअध्व॒रं मन्त्रं॑ वोचेमा॒ग्नये॑ । आ॒रेऽअ॒स्मे च॑ शृण्व॒ते ॥ (११)

हम यज्ञ के समीप प्रयास कर रहे हैं (जा रहे हैं). हम अग्नि के लिए मंत्र उचार रहे हैं. वे हमारे समीप आने की कृपा करें और मंत्रों को सुनने की कृपा करें. (११)

We are (going) making efforts near the yagna. We are chanting mantras for agni. May they be pleased to come near us and listen to the mantras. (11)
अ॒ग्निर्मू॒र्द्धा दि॒वः क॒कुत्पतिः॑ पृथि॒व्याऽअ॒यम् । अ॒पा रेता॑सि जिन्वति ॥ (१२)

हे अग्नि! आप मूर्धन्य (सर्वोच्च), स्वर्गलोक में स्थित, इस पृथ्वी के स्वामी और भरणपोषण करने बाले हैं. आप जल में प्राणदायी शक्ति डालते हैं व जीवों को जिलाते हैं. (१२)

O agni! You are the master and sustainer of this earth, located in the supreme heaven. You put life-giving energy in the water and keep the living beings alive. (12)
उ॒भा वा॑मिन्द्राग्नीऽआहु॒वध्या॑ऽउ॒भा राध॑सः स॒ह मा॑द॒यध्यै॑ । उ॒भा दा॒तारा॑वि॒षा र॑यी॒णामु॒भा वाज॑स्य सा॒तये॑ हुवे वाम् ॥ (१३)

हे इंद्र! हे अग्नि! हम यजमान आप दोनों देवताओं को यज्ञ में आमंत्रित करते हैं. हम आप दोनों को आहुति भेंट करते हैं. हम आप की आराधना करते हैं. आप अन्नधनसहित हमें मदमस्त बनाइए. आप अन्न और धन के दाता हैं. हम आप दोनों को ही अन्न और धन पाने के लिए यज्ञ में आमंत्रित करते हैं. (१३)

O Indra! O agni! We host invite you two gods to the yagna. We offer sacrifices to both of you. We worship you. You make us intoxicated with food grains. You are the giver of food and wealth. We invite both of you to the yagna to get food and money. (13)
अ॒यं ते॒ योनि॑र्ऋ॒त्वियो॒ यतो॑ जा॒तोऽअरो॑चथाः । तं जा॒नन्न॑ग्न॒ऽआरो॒हाथा॑ नो वर्द्धया र॒यिम् ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप बारबार उत्पन्न होने वाले हैं. इसलिए यज्ञ की समाप्ति पर आप पुनः गृहस्थ के यहां जन्म लें अर्थात् प्रातः, मध्याह्न और सायंकाल प्रकट हों. बाद में पुनः यज्ञ के लिए हमें समृद्ध करें. (१४)

O agni! You are going to be generated again and again. Therefore, at the end of the yajna, you should again be born at the householder's place, that is, in the morning, midday and evening. Later, enrich us for the yajna again. (14)
अ॒यमि॒ह प्र॑थ॒मो धा॑यि धा॒तृभि॒र्होता॒ यजि॑ष्ठोऽअध्व॒रेष्वीड्यः॑ । यमप्न॑वानो॒ भृग॑वो विरुरु॒चुर्वने॑षु चि॒त्रं वि॒भ्वं वि॒शेवि॑शे ॥ (१५)

हे अग्नि! आप प्रथम हैं. आप देवताओं को आमंत्रित करते हैं. आप यज्वान हैं. यज्ञ में पुरोहितों द्वारा आप की उपासना और स्थापना की जाती है. आप को आप्नवान और भृगु आदि ऋषियों ने समय-समय पर वनों में प्रज्वलित किया. आप विलक्षण हैं. (१५)

O agni! You are the first. You invite the gods. You are Yajwan. You are worshiped and established by the priests in the yajna. You were ignited in the forests from time to time by the sages like Apnwan and Bhrigu etc. You are fantastic. (15)
अ॒स्य प्र॒त्नामनु॒ द्युत॑ꣳ शु॒क्रं दु॑दुह्रे॒ऽअह्र॑यः । पयः॑ सहस्र॒सामृषि॑म् ॥ (१६)

अग्नि देव चिरकाल से हैं. हम उन की कांति का अनुसरण करना चाहते हैं. यजमान ने दूध, दही आदि हवि की सामग्री से हजारों यज्ञ करने वाले ऋषियों की भांति दूध दुहा है. (१६)

त॒नू॒पाऽअ॑ग्नेऽसि त॒न्वं मे पाह्यायु॑र्दाऽअ॑ग्ने॒ऽस्यायु॑र्मे देहि वर्चो॒दाऽअ॑ग्नेऽसि॒ वर्चो॑ मे देहि । अग्ने॒ यन्मे॑ त॒न्वाऽऊ॒नं तन्म॒ऽआपृ॑ण ॥ (१७)

हे अग्नि! आप पुरोहित के तन के रक्षक हैं. आप हमारे भी तन की रक्षा करने की कृपा कीजिए. हे अग्नि! आप आयु देने बाले हैं. आप हमें (दीर्घ) आयु प्रदान करने की कृपा कीजिए. हे अग्नि! आप वर्चस्व (प्रभाव) प्रदाता हैं. आप हमें बर्चस्व प्रदान करने की कृपा कीजिए. हे अग्नि! आप हमारे शरीर की न्यूनता (कमियां) दूर कर के उसे पूर्ण करने की कृपा कीजिए. (१७)

O agni! You are the protector of the priest's body. Please protect our body too. O agni! You are age-giving. Please give us (long) life. O agni! You are the domination (influence) provider. Please give us a discount. O agni! Please remove the shortcomings of our body and complete it. (17)
इन्धाना॑स्त्वा श॒तꣳ हिमा॑ द्यु॒मन्त॒ꣳ समि॑धीमहि । वय॑स्वन्तो वय॒स्कृत॒ꣳ सह॑स्वन्तः सह॒स्कृत॑म् । अग्ने॑ सपत्न॒दम्भ॑न॒मद॑ब्धासो॒ऽअदा॑भ्यम् । चित्रा॑वसो स्व॒स्ति ते॑ पा॒रम॑शीय ॥ (१८)

हे अग्नि! आप प्रकाशमान व धनवान हैं. आप की कृपा से यजमान सौ वर्ष की आयु पाते हैं. आप आयुष्मान हैं. आप हमें भी आयुष्मान बनाने की कृपा कीजिए. आप शक्तिमान हैं. हमें भी शक्तिमान बनाने की कृपा कीजिए. आप अदम्य हैं. आप हमें पल्ली सहित सौ वर्षो तक प्रकाशित रखने की कृपा कीजिए. आप विलक्षण हैं. आप हमें कल्याण के लिए अपनी शरण में रखने की कृपा कीजिए. O agni! You are bright and rich. By your grace, the host attains the age of a hundred years. You are Ayushmann. Please make us Ayushman too. You are powerful. Please make us powerful too. सं त्वम॑ग्ने॒ सूर्य॑स्य॒ वर्च्च॑सागथाः॒ समृषी॑णा स्तु॒तेन॑ । सं प्रि॒येण॒ धाम्ना॒ सम॒हमायु॑षा॒ सं वर्च॑सा॒ सं प्र॒जया॒ संꣳरा॒यस्पोषे॑ण ग्मिषीय ॥ (१९)

अन्ध॒ स्थान्धो॑ वो भक्षीय॒ मह॑ स्थ॒ महो॑ वो भक्षी॒योर्ज॒ स्थोर्जं॑ वो भक्षीय रा॒यस्पोष॑ स्थ रा॒यस्पोषं॑ वो भक्षीय ॥ (२०)

हे गौओ! आप अन्न स्वरूपा हैं. आप की कृपा से अन्न हमारे लिए खाने योग्य होता है. आप रस से युक्त हैं. आप की कृपा से घी, दूध आदि रसीली चीजें खाने योग्य होती हैं. आप आदरणीया हैं. हमें आदर योग्य बनाने की कृपा कीजिए. आप धनवती हैं. आप हमें धनी बनाने की कृपा कीजिए. आप बलवती हैं. आप हमें भी बलवान बनाइए. आप की कृपा से हम पुष्ट हों. O goo! You are anna swaroopa. By your grace, food is edible for us. You are rich in juice. By your grace, succulent things like ghee, milk etc. are edible. You are respected. Please make us respectable. You are wealthy. Please make us rich. You are strong. You make us strong too. May we be strong by your grace. (20)
रेव॑ती॒ रम॑ध्वम॒स्मिन् योना॑व॒स्मिन् गो॒ष्ठेऽस्मिँल्लो॒केऽस्मिन् क्षये॑ । इ॒हैव स्त॒ माप॑गात ॥ (२१)

हे रेवती (धन वाली गौओ)! आप यज्ञ के समय यज्ञस्थल पर प्रसन्नता के साथ रहें. आप दुही जाने से पहले बाड़े में विचरें. आप सदैव यजमान की आंखों में रहें. आप यहीं निवास कीजिए. आप कहीं मत जाइए. (२१)

O Revati (money wali gauo)! You should be happy at the yajna site at the time of yajna. You wander into the enclosure before you go. Always be in the eyes of the host. You stay here. Don't go anywhere. (21)
स॒ꣳहि॒तासि॑ विश्वरू॒प्यूर्जा मावि॑श गौप॒त्येन॑ । उप॑ त्वाग्ने दि॒वेदि॑वे॒ दोषा॑वस्तर्धि॒या व॒यम् । नमो॒ भर॑न्त॒ऽएम॑सि ॥ (२२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे गौओ! आप बहुत रूपों वाली और ऊर्जस्वी (तेजस्वी) हैं. आप यजमान को गोपति बनाती हैं. हे अग्नि! आप दिनरात यजमान के पास निवास करते हैं. हम श्रद्धा से भर कर आप को नमन करते हैं. हम आप के पास आते हैं. (२२)

O goo! You are very beautiful and energetic. You make the host a gopati. O agni! You live day and night near the host. We bow to you with reverence. We come to you. (22)
राज॑न्तमध्व॒राणां॑ गो॒पामृ॒तस्य॒ दीदि॑विम् । वर्द्ध॑मान॒ꣳ स्वे दमे॑ ॥ (२३)

हे अग्नि! आप प्रकाशमान हैं. आप सज्ञों में शोभित होते हैं. आप स्वर्गलोक को भी प्रकाशित करते हैं. आप गोपति व अमर हैं. आप स्वयं यज्ञ में बढ़ोतरी पाते हैं. हम उपासना से आप के पास आते हैं. (२३)

O agni! You are shining. You are adorned with wisdom. You also illuminate heaven. You are a gopati and immortal. You find an increase in yajna yourself. We come to you through worship. (23)
स नः॑ पि॒तेव॑ सू॒नवेऽग्ने॑ सूपाय॒नो भ॑व । सच॑स्वा नः स्व॒स्तये॑ ॥ (२४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप यजमानों के पास उसी तरह बने रहें जैसे पिता पुत्र के पास बना रहता है. आप हम यजमानों के कल्याण के लिए सदैव यजमानों के पास रहने की कृपा कीजिए. (२४)
EN English Translation
O agni! You should remain with the hosts in the same way as the father remains with the son. Please always be with the hosts for the welfare of us hosts. (24)
अग्ने॒ त्वं नो॒ऽअन्त॑मऽउ॒त त्रा॒ता शि॒वो भ॑वा वरू॒थ्यः । वसु॑र॒ग्निर्वसु॑श्रवा॒ऽअच्छा॑ नक्षि द्यु॒मत्त॑मꣳ र॒यिं दाः॑ ॥ (२५)

हे अग्नि! आप हमारे पास हैं. आप पालक, रक्षक, कल्याणकारी व भावी पीढ़ियों के दाता हैं. आप घर दाता, विश्वविख्यात, धन और कीतिंदाता हैं. हमारी आंख के तारे व धनदाता हैं. (२५)

O agni! You are with us. You are a guardian, protector, benefactor and giver of future generations. You are a home giver, world-renowned, wealth and a traitor. The stars and wealth of our eyes are the givers. (25)
तं त्वा॑ शोचिष्ठ दीदिवः सु॒म्नाय॑ नू॒नमी॑महे॒ सखि॑भ्यः । स नो॑ बोधि श्रु॒धी हव॑मुरु॒ष्या णो॑ऽअघाय॒तः स॑मस्मात् ॥ (२६)

हे अग्नि! आप पतित्रतम हैं. आप स्वर्गलोक को भी प्रकाशित करने बाले हैं. आप से हम अपने अच्छे मन के लिए कामना करते हैं. आप से हम अच्छे मित्रों के लिए इच्छा करते हैं. आप पापियों से हमें बचाइए. आप हमें जागृत कीजिए. आप हमारा निवेदन सुनिए. (२६)

O agni! You are the impure. You are also going to illuminate heaven. From you we wish for your good mind. From you we wish for good friends. You save us from sinners. You wake us up. You listen to our request. (26)
इड॒ऽएह्यदि॑त॒ऽएहि॒ काम्या॒ऽएत॑ । मयि॑ वः काम॒धर॑णं भूयात् ॥ (२७)

हे इड़ा देवी! व हे अदिति देवी! आप यहां पधारिए. आप यहां पधारने की इच्छा कीजिए. हे इच्छित गौ! आप हमारी इच्छाओं को पूरा करने के लिए यहां पधारिए. (२७)

O Ida Devi! And hey Aditi Devi! You come here. You wish to come here. O you want! You come here to fulfill our wishes. (27)
सो॒मान॒ꣳ स्वर॑णं कृणु॒हि ब्र॑ह्मणस्पते । क॒क्षीव॑न्तं॒ यऽऔ॑शि॒जः ॥ (२८)

हे ब्रह्मणस्पति! आप सोम का सेवन करने वालों को प्रकाशमान कीजिए. जैसे उशीज के पुत्र कक्षीवान को आप ने महिमावान बनाया, वैसे ही आप हमें भी महिमावान बनाने की कृपा कीजिए. (२८)

O Brahmanaspati! You light up those who consume Som. Just as you glorified Ushiz's son, So please make us glorious too. (28)
यो रे॒वान् योऽअ॑मीव॒हा व॑सु॒वित् पु॑ष्टि॒वर्द्ध॑नः । स नः॑ सिषक्तु॒ यस्तु॒रः ॥ (२९)

O Brahmanaspati! You are a diseaser, rich, opulence giver, confirmatory and quick finish. Please come to us. (29)
मा नः॒ शꣳसो॒ऽअर॑रुषो धू॒र्तिः प्रण॒ङ् मर्त्य॑स्य । रक्षा॑ णो ब्रह्मणस्पते ॥ (३०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ब्रह्मणस्पति! आप हमारी रक्षा करने की कृपा कीजिए. हम पर धूर्त, अयज्ञी (यज्ञ न करने वालों) लोगों का बुरा असर न हो. (३०)
