देव॑ सवितः॒ प्र सु॑व य॒ज्ञं प्र सु॑व य॒ज्ञप॑तिं॒ भगा॑य । दि॒व्यो ग॑न्ध॒र्वः॑ के॑त॒पू केतं॑ नः पुनातु वा॒चस्पति॒र्वाचं॑ नः स्वदतु ॥ (१)

हे सविता देव! आप प्रमुख उत्पादक व यज्ञ के जनक हैं. आप यज्ञपति को भाग्य प्रदान करने की कृपा कीजिए. आप दिव्य गंधर्व और पवित्र विचारों बाले हैं. आप हमारी विचार वाणी को भी पवित्र बनाने की कृपा कीजिए. आप वाणी पति हैं. आप हमें भी मधुर बचन दीजिए. (१)

O Savita Dev! You are the principal producer and father of yajna. Please give luck to yajnapati. You are the divine Gandharva and the holy thoughts. Please make our thoughts and speeches pure. You are a speech husband. You also give us a sweet escape. (1)
तत्स॑वि॒तुर्वरे॑ण्यं॒ भर्गो॑ दे॒वस्य॑ धीमहि । धियो॒ यो नः॑ प्रचो॒दया॑त् ॥ (२)

हे सविता देव! आप बरेण्य और देवताओं के लिए सौभाग्य धारते हैं. आप हमारी बुद्धि को भी प्रेरित करने की कृपा कीजिए. (२)

ब्रह्म॑णे ब्राह्म॒णं क्ष॒त्राय॑ राज॒न्यं म॒रुद्भ्यो॒ वैश्यं॒ तप॑से॒ शू॒द्रं तम॑से॒ तस्क॑रं नार॒काय॑ वीर॒हणं॑ पा॒प्मने॑ क्ली॒बमा॑क्र॒याया॑ऽअयो॒गूं कामा॑य पुँश्च॒लूमति॑क्रुष्टाय माग॒धम् ॥ (५)

ब्राह्मण के लिए ब्रहाज्ञान, क्षत्रिय के लिए रक्षण, वैश्य के लिए पालनपोषण, शुद्र के लिए सेवा कतंव्य व उपयुक्त हैं. चोर के लिए अंधकार, नरक के लिए वीरघातक, नपुंसक के लिए पाप, खरीद के लिए पुरुषार्थी, काम के लिए व्यभिचारी अच्छी बोलने की शक्ति के लिए प्रमाण देने वाला उपयुक्त होता है. (५)

Brahmagyan for Brahmins, Rakshan for Kshatriyas, Rearing for Vaishya, Service for Shudras are justified and appropriate. Darkness for thief, heroic for hell, sin for impotent, purusharthi for purchase, adulterer for work are suitable for proof of good speech power. (5)

अंग चालन हेतु सूत, गीत के लिए नट, धर्म के लिए सभासद, नेतृत्व हेतु क्षमतावान, नरमाई हेतु मधुरभाषी, मनोविनोद हेतु स्वांग करने वाला उपयुक्त रहता है. आनंद प्राप्ति के लिए स्त्रियों के प्रति सख्य भाव, प्रबल मद (से उन्मत्त) के लिए कुमारी (वीरांगना) पुत्र, मेधावी के लिए रथकार और धैर्य के लिए गढ़िया (गढ़ाई करने वाला) उपयुक्त है. (६)

Yarn for limb movement, nut for song, member for religion, capable of leadership, soft-spoken, slang for manoeuvre is suitable. For pleasure, compassion for women is suitable, kumari (veerangana) son for strong item ( from frenzy), charioteer for meritorious and garhia (fabricator) for patience. (6)

तपाने के लिए कुम्हार, माया के लिए कारीगर, रूप के लिए मणिकार, शुभ कार्य के लिए काटछांट में प्रवीण, लक्ष्यभेदी बाण के लिए इषुकार, आयुध के लिए धनुषकार, कर्म के लिए ज्याकार (डोरी बनाने वाले), आज्ञा देने हेतु रज्जुसर्जक (रस्सी बनाने वाले), मृत्यु के लिए कसाई, यम के लिए कुत्ते पालक की नियुक्ति की जानी चाहिए. न॒दीभ्यः॑ पौञ्जि॒ष्ठमृ॒क्षीका॑भ्यो॒ नैषा॑दं पुरुषव्या॒घ्राय॑ दु॒र्मदं॑ गन्धर्वाप्स॒रोभ्यो॒ व्रात्यं॑ प्र॒युग्भ्य॒ऽ उन्म॑त्तꣳ सर्पदेवज॒नेभ्योऽप्र॑तिपद॒मये॑भ्यः कित॒वमी॒र्यता॑या॒ऽअकि॑तवं पिशा॒चेभ्यो॑ विदलका॒रीं या॑तु॒धाने॑भ्यः कण्टकीका॒रीम् ॥ (८)

नदियों के लिए नाविक, रीछ आदि के लिए बनचरों (निषाद), शेर की तरह दुर्दम्य पुरुष के लिए प्रबल प्रतापी को, गंधर्व और अप्सराओं के लिए असंस्कारित, शोधार्थी हेतु उन्मत्त को, सांप, मनुष्य और देवों के लिए ज्ञानी को, जुए के लिए जुए में कुशल व्यक्ति को, उन्नति के लिए छलकपट मुकत को पिशाचों के लिए हृदय विदीर्ण करने बाले राक्षस जैसे लुटेरों के लिए रास्ते में कांटे (रोड़े) अटकाने बालों को नियुक्त किया जाना चाहिए. संधि के लिए मित्र को, घर के लिए उपमुखिया को, गरीबी के लिए धनी को, आपातकाल में साधन जुटाने में दक्ष को, सिद्द्रि के लिए हित को सर्वोपरि मानने बाले, संस्कार हेतु शुद्धिकरण में कुशल को, ज्ञानप्राप्ति हेतु कार्य कुशल को, अचानक काम आ पड़ने पर पास वाले व्यक्ति को, स्वीकार कराने के लिए आग्रह में दक्ष को तथा बल हेतु सहारा देने वाले को नियुक्त करना चाहिए. उ॒त्सा॒देभ्यः॑ कु॒ब्जं प्र॒मुदे॑ वाम॒नं द्वा॒र्भ्यः स्रा॒म स्वप्ना॑या॒न्धमध॑र्माय बधि॒रं प॒वित्रा॑य भि॒षजं॑ प्र॒ज्ञाना॑य नक्षत्रद॒र्शमा॑शि॒क्षायै॑ प्र॒श्निन॑मुपशि॒क्षाया॑ऽअभिप्र॒श्निनं॑ म॒र्यादा॑यै प्रश्नविवा॒कम् ॥ (१०)

शत्रुओं के नाश हेतु तलबार वाले को, मनोरंजन हेतु बौने को, द्वार हेतु मेहनती को नियुक्त किया जाना चाहिए. सपने के लिए चक्षुहीन का, अधर्म के लिए बहरे का अनुकरण करना चाहिए. पवित्रता के लिए वैद्य, अच्छे ज्ञान के लिए नक्षत्र विज्ञानी, अशिक्षा हेतु प्रश्नकर्ता, उपशिक्षा हेतु अभिप्रशन कर्ता और मर्यादा के लिए प्रश्न कर्त्ता को नियुक्त करना चाहिए. To destroy the enemies, the sword man, the dwarf for entertainment, the hard-working person for the gate should be appointed. One should emulate the blind for dreams, the deaf for unrighteousness. Physicians for purity, nakshatra scientists for good knowledge, questioners for illiteracy, interpreters for sub-education and questioners for dignity should be appointed. (10)
अर्मे॑भ्यो हस्ति॒पं ज॒वाया॑श्व॒पं पुष्ट्यै॑ गोपा॒लं वी॒र्य्यायाविपा॒लं तेज॑सेऽजपा॒लमिरा॑यै की॒नाशं॑ की॒लाला॑य सुराका॒रं भ॒द्राय॑ गृह॒पꣳ श्रेय॑से वित्त॒धमाध्य॑क्ष्यायानुक्ष॒त्तार॑म् ॥ (११)

अग्नि हेतु लकड़हारे, प्रकाश हेतु अग्नि जलाने वाले, गरमी के लिए जल बरसाने वाले को, स्वर्ग जैसे सुख हेतु चारों ओर से घेरने वाले को, देवलोक हेतु सुंदर आकार बनाने वाले को, मनुष्यलोक हेतु प्रसार करने वाले को, सभी लोकों के लिए संतोष देने वाले को, वध के लिए हल्ला मचाने वाले को नियुक्त किया जाना चाहिए. बुद्धि पाने के लिए वस्त्र क्षालन, शोभा हेतु चित्रकारी के ज्ञाता का अनुकरण करना चाहिए. Woodcutters for agni, those who burn agni for light, those who rain water for heat, those who surround for happiness like heaven, those who make beautiful shapes for Devlok, those who spread for manlok, those who give satisfaction to all the worlds, those who make a hue and cry for slaughter should be appointed. To get intelligence, one should follow the knowledge of painting for textile elution, beauty. (12)

म॒न्यवे॑ऽयस्ता॒पं क्रोधा॑य निस॒रं योगा॑य यो॒क्तार॒ꣳ शोका॑याऽभिस॒र्त्तारं॒ क्षेमा॑य विमो॒क्ता॑रमुत्कूलनिकू॒लेभ्य॑त्रि॒ष्ठिनं॒ व॑पुषे मानस्कृ॒तꣳ शीला॑याञ्जनीका॒रीं निर्ऋत्यै कोशका॒रीं य॒माया॒सूम् ॥ (१४)

क्रोध लोहे को भी ताप देने वाला होता है. क्रोध की शांति हेतु जग को निस्सार समझने वाले की नियुक्ति करनी चाहिए. योग के लिए योगी को नियुक्त करना चाहिए. शोक के लिए सांत्वना देने वाले को नियुक्त करना चाहिए. संरक्षण के लिए मुक्ति दाता को नियुक्त करना चाहिए, उतारचढाव हेतु ऊंचनीच में दक्ष को, शरीर हेतु मनोनुकूल आचरण करने वाले को, शालीनता हेतु आंख शुद्ध करने वाले को, नियुक्त किया जाना चाहिए. विपत्ति हेतु संचय नीति को यमनियम आदि हेतु असूया (ईर्ष्या रहित) को नियुक्त किया जाना चाहिए. A consolation worker should be appointed for the bereavement. A liberator should be appointed for protection, a skilled person who is high in height for ups and downs, a person who behaves accordingly for the body, an eye cleanser for decency. Accumulation policy for adversity should be appointed as a member of The Asuya (without jealousy) for Yemeniam etc. (14)
य॒माय॑ यम॒सूमथ॑र्व॒भ्योऽव॑तोका संवत्स॒राय॑ पर्य्या॒यिणीं॑ परिवत्स॒रायावि॑जाता- मिदावत्स॒राया॒तीत्व॑रीमिद्वत्स॒राया॑ति॒ष्कद्व॑रीं वत्स॒राय॒ विज॑र्जरा संवत्स॒राय॒ पलि॑क्नीमृ॒भुभ्यो॑ऽ जिनस॒न्धꣳ सा॒ध्येभ्य॒श्चर्म॒म्नम् ॥ (१५)

हे परमात्मा! यम के लिए नियम में समर्थ स्त्री को नियुक्त करना चाहिए. अहिंसकों के लिए अवतोका नामक स्त्री को नियुक्त करना चाहिए. संवत्सर हेतु समय की व्यवस्था जानने वाली की नियुक्ति की जानी चाहिए. परिवत्सर के लिए कुंआरी को, इदावत्सर हेतु गतिशील को, अनुवत्सर हेतु ज्ञानवती को, वत्सर या अनुवत्सर हेतु वृद्धा को, संवत्सर हेतु श्वेत बालों वाली वृद्धा को नियुक्त करना चाहिए. ऋभु हेतु पराजित न होने वाले से मित्रता की जानी चाहिए. साध्य हेतु विशेष धर्म ज्ञानी की नियुक्ति की जानी चाहिए. O God! For Yama, a woman capable of the rule should be appointed. A woman named Avtoka should be appointed for non-violent people. A person who knows the time arrangement for Samvatsar should be appointed. For Parivatsar, the virgin should be appointed, for idavatsar, the dynamic, for the anuvatsar, the gyanvati, for vatsar or anuvatsar, the old woman with white hair should be appointed. For Ribhu, friendship should be made with the one who is not defeated. Special religious scholars should be appointed for the purpose. (15)
सरो॑भ्यो धैव॒रमु॑प॒स्थाव॑राभ्यो॒ दाशं॑ वैश॒न्ताभ्यो॑ बै॒न्दं न॑ड्व॒लाभ्यः॒ शौष्क॑लं पा॒राय॑ मार्गा॒रम॑वा॒राय॑ के॒वर्त्तं॑ ती॒र्थेभ्य॑ऽआ॒न्दं विष॑मेभ्यो मैना॒ल स्वने॑भ्यः॒ पर्ण॑कं॒ गुहा॑भ्यः॒ किरा॑त॒ꣳ सानु॑भ्यो॒ जम्भ॑कं॒ पर्व॑तेभ्यः किम्पूरु॒षम् ॥ (१६)

तालाब हेतु मछुआरों को, उपवन हेतु सेवकों को, छोटे तालाब हेतु निषादों को, नडवल हेतु मछली से जीविका निर्वाहक को नियुक्त किया जाना चाहिए. पार जाने के लिए रास्ता जानने वाले को, उस पार से इस पार आने वाले के लिए केवट को, तीर्थ के लिए बाड़ बांधने वाले को, असमान स्थान के लिए किनारा लगाने बाले को नियुक्त करना चाहिए. मधुर ध्वनि के लिए तुरही वादक की, गुफाओं के लिए भीलकिरात की, शिखर के लिए प्रचंड व्यक्ति की और पर्वत के लिए छोटे पुरुषों की नियुक्ति की जानी चाहिए. (१६)

Fishermen should be appointed for ponds, servants for groves, Nishads for small ponds, fish livelihood sustenance for nadwal. The one who knows the way to cross, the kewat for the person coming across from that side, the fence for the pilgrimage, the one who wants to shore for the uneven place should appoint the shore. Trumpet players should be appointed for the melodious sound, Bhilkiraat for the caves, the fierce person for the summit and small men for the mountain. (16)
बी॒भ॒त्सायै॑ पौल्क॒सं वर्णा॑य हिरण्यकारं तु॒लायै॑ वाणि॒जं प॑श्चादो॒षाय॑ ग्ला॒विनं॒ विश्वे॑भ्यो भू॒तेभ्यः॑ सिध्म॒लं भूत्यै॑ जागर॒णमभू॑त्यै स्वप॒नमार्त्यै॑ जनवा॒दिनं॒ व्यृद्ध्याऽअपग॒ल्भꣳ सꣳश॒राय॑ प्र॒च्छिद॑म् ॥ (१७)

बीभत्स (भयंकर/घृणित) कामों के लिए अनगढ़ (निर्दय) लोगों की नियुक्ति की जानी चाहिए. अच्छे वर्ण के लिए सुनार, तौलने के लिए बनिए की नियुक्ति करनी चाहिए. बाद में दोष देने के लिए नाराज व्यक्ति को, सभी प्राणियों के लिए सिद्धिदायक व्यक्ति को नियुक्त करना चाहिए. समृद्धि हेतु जागरणशील को, असमृद्द्धि हेतु स्वप्नजीवी को, पीड़ा से मुक्ति के लिए सावधान करने वाले को, उन्नति (बढ़ोतरी) हेतु अभिमान रहित को, बाण निशाने पर साधने के लिए लक्ष्य साधक को नियुक्त करना चाहिए. The awakening for prosperity, the visionary for unsolved growth, the one who warns him to get rid of pain, the one who is without pride for progress, the goal seeker should be appointed to hit the arrow. (17)
अ॒क्ष॒रा॒जाय॑ कित॒वं कृ॒ताया॑दिनवद॒र्शं त्रेता॑यै क॒ल्पिनं॑ द्वा॒परा॑याधिक॒ल्पिन॑मास्क॒न्दाय॑ सभास्था॒णुं मृ॒त्यवे॑ गोव्य॒च्छमन्त॑काय गोघा॒तं क्षु॒धे यो गां वि॑कृ॒न्तन्तं॒ भिक्ष॑माणऽउप॒ तिष्ठ॑ति दुष्कृ॒ताय॒ चर॑काचार्यं पा॒प्मने॑ सैल॒गम् ॥ (१८)

जुआ खेलने के लिए झूतकार, क्रियाशील हेतु समीक्षा करने बाले, त्रेता के लिए कल्पनाकार, द्वापर हेतु अकल्पनाकार की नियुक्ति की जानी चाहिए. आक्रमण जैसी स्थिति में स्थिर मति वाला ठीक रहता है. मृत्यु की स्थिति में इंद्रियों का अनुकरण कर्ता ठीक रहता है. यमराज हेतु गौ घाती, भूख हेतु भीख मांगने बाले, पाप के निवारण के लिए चरकाचार्य और दुष्टों के लिए कठोर दंड दे सकने बाले की नियुक्ति की जानी चाहिए. In the event of death, the imitator of the senses is fine. For Yamraj, cow traitors, begging for hunger, charkacharyas for the prevention of sins and those who can give strict punishment for the wicked should be appointed. (18)
