अपे॒तो य॑न्तु प॒णयोऽसु॑म्ना देवपी॒ययवः॑ । अ॒स्य लो॒कः सु॒ताव॑तःद्युभि॒रहो॑भिर॒क्तुभि॒र्व्यक्तं य॒मो द॑दात्वव॒सान॑मस्मै ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
चोर व जो अच्छे मन वाले नहीं हैं, वे इस स्थान से दूर चले जाएं. देवताओं के पीड़क इस स्थान से दूर चले जाएं. यह लोक हम देवपुत्रों का है. यम देव दिन और रात में अभिव्यक्त इस उत्तम स्थान को हमारे लिए प्रदान करने की कृपा करें. (१)
EN English Translation
Thieves who are not good-minded should move away from this place. The torsions of the gods should move away from this place. This is the people of us sons of Gods. May Yama Dev be pleased to provide this wonderful place for us expressed in day and night. (1)
स॒वि॒ता ते॒ शरी॑रेभ्यः पृथि॒व्यां लो॒कमि॑च्छतु । तस्मै॑ युज्यन्तामु॒स्रियाः॑ ॥ (२)

सविता देव आप के शरीर के लिए पृथ्वीलोक की इच्छा करने की कृपा करों. वे पृथ्वीलोक को पशुओं से जोड़ने की कृपा करें. (२)

Savita Dev, please wish earth for your body. May they be pleased to connect the earth with animals. (2)
वा॒युः पु॑नातु सवि॒ता पु॑नात्व॒ग्नेर्भ्राज॑सा॒ सूर्य॑स्य॒ वर्च॑सा । वि मु॑च्यन्तामु॒स्रियाः॑ ॥ (३)

वायु देव व सविता देव इस स्थान को पवित्र बनाने की कृपा करों. सूर्य देव इस स्थान को वर्चस्वी बनाने की कृपा करें. बंधे हुए गायों और बैलों को खोल दिया जाए. (३)
EN English Translation
Please vayu dev and savita dev to make this place holy. May the Sun God be pleased to make this place dominated. Tied cows and bulls should be opened. (3)
अ॒श्व॒त्थे वो॑ नि॒षद॑नं प॒र्णे वो॑ वस॒तिष्कृ॒ता । गो॒भाज॒ऽइत्किला॑सथ॒ यत्स॒नव॑थ॒ पू॑रुषम् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पीपल और पलाश वृक्षों पर वास करने वाली ओषधियों से निवेदन है कि वे यजमान को गायों को कांति से युक्त करने की कृपा करें. आप यजमान को पौरुष युक्त करने की कृपा करें. (४)
EN English Translation
The medicines living on peepal and palash trees are requested to please the host to bury the cows with kanti. Please make the host virtuous. (4)
स॒वि॒ता ते॒ शरी॑राणि मा॒तुरु॒पस्थ॒ऽआ व॑पतु । तस्मै॑ पृथिवि॒ शं भ॑व ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सविता देव यजमान के शरीर को पृथ्वी माता की गोद में बैठाने की कृपा करों. पृथ्वी माता का हम आह्वान करते हैं. वे उन सब के लिए सुखदायी तथा कल्याणकारी हो. (५)
EN English Translation
Please place the body of Savita Dev host on the lap of Mother Earth. We call upon Mother Earth. May they be happy and beneficial for all of them. (5)
प्र॒जाप॑तौ त्वा दे॒वता॑या॒मुपो॑दके लो॒के नि द॑धाम्यसौ । अप॑ नः॒ शोशु॑चद॒घम् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
प्रजापति देव को हम जल के पास स्थापित करते हैं. वे इस जल को धारण करने और हमें पवित्र बनाने की कृपा करों. (६)
EN English Translation
We install Prajapati Dev near water. May they bless us with this water and make us holy. (6)
परं॑ मृत्यो॒ऽ अनु॒ परे॑हि॒ पन्थां॒ यस्ते॑ऽ अ॒न्यऽ इत॑रो देव॒याना॑त् । चक्षु॑ष्मते शृण्व॒ते ते॑ ब्रवीमि॒ मा नः॑ प्र॒जा री॑रिषो॒ मोत वी॒रान् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मृत्यु का पथ दूसरा है. उन का पथ देवताओं के पथ से भिन्न है. आप दूसरे पथ से लौट जाने की कृपा करें. आप नेत्रवान हैं. आप श्रवण क्षमता युक्त हैं. आप से अनुरोध है कि आप हमारी प्रजा व वीरों का नाश मत कीजिए, (७)
EN English Translation
The path to death is another. Their path is different from the path of the gods. Please go back from another path. You are blind. You are hearing impaired. You are requested not to destroy our people and heroes, (7)
शं वातः॒ शꣳ हि ते॒ घृणिः॒ शं ते॑ भव॒न्त्विष्ट॑काः । शं ते॑ भवन्त्व॒ग्नयः॒ पार्थि॑वासो॒ मा त्वा॒भि शू॑शुचन् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वायु हमारे लिए सुखदायी हो. सूर्य हमारे लिए सुखदायी हो. इष्टिका देव हमारे लिए कल्याणदायी हो. अग्नि हमारे लिए कल्याणदायी हो. ये सभी पृथ्वी पर किसी को भी सोच एवं संताप न दें. (८)
EN English Translation
May the air be pleasant for us. May the sun be pleasant for us. May The God be beneficial to us. May agni be beneficial to us. All these do not give thinking and anger to anyone on earth. (8)
कल्प॑न्तां ते॒ दिश॒स्तुभ्य॒मापः॑ शि॒वत॑मा॒स्तुभ्यं॑ भवन्तु॒ सिन्ध॑वः । अ॒न्तरि॑क्षꣳ शि॒वं तुभ्यं॒ कल्प॑न्तां ते॒ दिशः॒ सर्वाः॑ ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
दिशाएं आप के लिए फलीभूत हों. जल आप के लिए कल्याणकारी हों. समुद्र आप के लिए कल्याणकारी हो. अंतरिक्ष आप के लिए कल्याणकारी हो. दिशाएं आप के लिए फलीभूत हों. (९)
EN English Translation
Directions come to fruition for you. Water should be beneficial for you. May the sea be welfare for you. Space be welfare for you. Directions come to fruition for you. (9)
अश्म॑न्वती रीयते॒ सꣳर॑भध्व॒मुत्ति॑ष्ठत॒ प्र त॑रता सखायः । अत्रा॑ जही॒मोऽशि॑वा॒ येऽ अस॑ञ्छि॒वान्व॒यमुत्त॑रेमा॒भि वाजा॑न् ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पत्थर वाली नदी वह रही है. आप मित्र उस नदी को लांघने की कोशिश कीजिए. आप उठ कर उस के पार पहुंचिए. इस में जो अकल्याणकारी तच्च हैं, उन्हें दूर कीजिए. हम सुख और कल्याणदायी पदार्थ इस नदी से पाएं. (१०)
EN English Translation
It has been a river with stones. You friends, try to cross that river. You get up and get across it. Remove those who are incompetent in this. May we find happiness and well-being from this river. (10)
अपा॒घमप॒ किल्वि॑ष॒मप॑ कृ॒त्यामपो॒ रपः॑ । अपा॑मार्ग॒ त्वम॒स्मदप॑ दुः॒ष्वप्न्य॑ꣳ सुव ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हटाइए, पाप को दूर हटाइए. आप हमारे पाप कर्मो को दूर हटाइए. अपयशदायी कर्मो को आप हम से दूर हटाइए. आप दुःस्वप्नो को हम से (हमारे जीवन से) दूर हटाइए. (११)
EN English Translation
Remove, remove sin. You remove our sins. Remove the harmful deeds away from us. You remove nightmares away from us (our lives). (11)
सु॒मि॒त्रि॒या न॒ऽआप॒ऽओष॑धयः सन्तु दुर्मित्रि॒यास्तस्मै॑ सन्तु॒ । योऽस्मान् द्वेष्टि॒ यं च॑ व॒यं द्वि॒ष्मः ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जल हमारे अच्छे मित्र हो जाएं. ओषधियां हमारी अच्छी मित्र हो जाएं. जो हम से द्वेष करते हैं, जिन से हम द्वेष करते हैं, उन दुष्ट अमित्रो के लिए पीड़ादायी होइए. (१२)
EN English Translation
May water become our good friend. May medicines become our good friends. Be painful for those who hate us, those whom we hate, for those evil amitros. (12)
अ॒न॒ड्वाह॑म॒न्वार॑भामहे॒ सौर॑भेयꣳ स्व॒स्तये॑ । स न॒ऽइन्द्र॑ऽइव दे॒वेभ्यो॒ वह्निः॑ स॒न्तर॑णो भव ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम अपने कल्याण हेतु सुरभि पुत्र (गाय के पुत्र बछड़े) का बारबार आह्वान करते हैं. वह इंद्र देव के समान उद्धार करने वाला हो. वह अग्नि देव के समान उद्धार करने वाला हो. (१३)
EN English Translation
We repeatedly invoke Surabhi Putra (calf son of cow) for our welfare. He is as savior as Indra Dev. He is like a god of agni. (13)
उद्व॒यन्तम॑स॒स्परि॒ स्वः] पश्य॑न्त॒ऽउत्त॑रम् । दे॒वं दे॑व॒त्रा सूर्य्य॒मग॑न्म॒ ज्योति॑रुत्त॒मम् ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम अंधकार से ऊपर प्रकाशमय स्वर्गलोक को देखते हैं. देवता भी उत्तम ज्योतिष्मान सूर्य को देखते हुए परमात्मा को पाते हैं. (१४)
EN English Translation
We see the light paradise above darkness. Deities also find God while looking at the sun, the best astrologer. (14)
इ॒मं जी॒वेभ्यः॑ परि॒धिं द॑धामि॒ मैषां॒ नु गा॒दप॑रो॒ऽअर्थ॑मे॒तम् । श॒तं जी॑वन्तु श॒रदः॑ पुरू॒चीर॒न्तर्मृ॒त्युं द॑धतां॒ पर्व॑तेन ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम यह मर्यादा रूपी परिधि जीवों के लिए धारण करते हैं. हम इस मर्यादा रूपी परिधि का अनुसरण करें. हम सौ वर्ष तक उददेश्यपूर्ण सार्थक जीबन जीएं. यदि इस बीच में मौत आए तो मृत्यु देवगण के पथ में पर्वत जैसी बाधाएं खड़ी कर दें. (१५)
EN English Translation
We hold this limit for living beings. Let us follow this limit. Let us live a meaningful life with purpose for a hundred years. If death comes in the meantime, then death should create obstacles like mountains in the path of Devgan. (15)
अग्न॒ऽआयू॑षि पवस॒ऽ आ सु॒वोर्ज॒मिषं॑ च नः । आ॒रे बा॑धस्व दु॒च्छुना॑म् ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप आयु की बढ़ोतरी करने वाले हैं. हे अग्नि! आप पवित्र कार्य संपन्न करने बाले हैं. हे अग्नि! आप हमें ऊर्जादायी इष्ट पदार्थ प्रदान करने की कृपा कीजिए. आप दुष्टों को बाधित कीजिए. (१६)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are going to increase the age. O agni! You are the one to complete the sacred work. O agni! Please give us energy-giving favors. You obstruct the wicked. (16)
आयु॑ष्मानग्ने ह॒विषा॑ वृधा॒नो घृ॒तप्र॑तीको घृ॒तयो॑निरेधि । घृ॒तं पी॒त्वा मधु॒ चारु॒ गव्यं॑ पि॒तेव॑ पु॒त्रम॒भि र॑क्षतादि॒मान्त्स्वाहा॑ ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप हवि से बढ़ोतरी पाने बाले हैं. घी आप का मूल स्थान हैं. आप घी रूपी प्रतीक बाले हैं. आप सुंदर गायों का मधुर घी पी कर उसी प्रकार हम यजमान रूपी पुत्रों की रक्षा कीजिए, जैसे पिता पुत्र की रक्षा करता है. आप के लिए स्वाहा. (१७)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are going to get a boost from the havi. Ghee is your native place. You are a symbol of ghee. You should drink the sweet ghee of beautiful cows and protect the sons of us host in the same way as the father protects the son. Swaha for you. (17)
परी॒मे गाम॑नेषत॒ पर्य॒ग्निम॑हृषत । दे॒वेष्व॑क्रत॒ श्रवः॒ कऽ इ॒माँ२ऽ आ द॑धर्षति ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो अग्नि को इन परिपूर्ण आहुतियों से हर्षित करते हैं, इन आहुतियों को देवताओं तक पहुंचाते हैं, देवताओं के लिए ऐसे यज्ञ करने वाले यजमान को कोई नहीं हरा सकता. (१८)
EN English Translation
Those who make the agni happy with these perfect offerings, convey these offerings to the gods, no one can defeat the host who performs such sacrifices for the gods. (18)
क्र॒व्याद॑म॒ग्निं प्र हि॑णोमि दू॒रं य॑म॒राज्यं॑ गच्छतु रिप्रवा॒हः । इ॒हैवायमित॑रो जा॒तवे॑दा दे॒वेभ्यो॑ ह॒व्यं व॑हतु प्रजा॒नन् ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम क्रव्याद अग्नि को दूर करते हैं. हम उस से दूर यमराज्य में जाने का निवेदन करते हैं. सर्वज्ञ अग्नि हमारे घरों में होने वाले यज्ञ में बढ़ोतरी पाएं. अग्नि हमारी हवि को वहन करने व उसे देवताओं तक पहुंचाने की कृपा करें. (१९)
EN English Translation
We remove the agni. We request him to go away to Yamrajya. May the omniscient agni increase the yajna in our homes. Please carry agni to our havi and bring it to the gods. (19)
वह॑ व॒पां जा॑तवेदः पि॒तृभ्यो॒ यत्रै॑ना॒न् वेत्थ॒ निहि॑तान् परा॒के । मेद॑सः कु॒ल्याऽ उप॒ तान्त्स्र॑वन्तु स॒त्याऽ ए॑षामा॒शिषः॒ सं न॑मन्ता॒ स्वाहा॑ ॥ (२०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप सर्वज्ञ हैं. आप जहां पितर निवास करते हैं, आप उस स्थान को जानते हैं. अतः आप हम से दूर पितरलोकवासी पितरों के लिए हवि बहन करने की कृपा करें. पितरों के पास जल की धाराएं स्रवित होने की कृपा करें. पितरों के आशीर्वाद हमारे प्रति सधे हों. हम पितरों को नमन करते हैं. अग्नि के लिए स्वाहा. (२०)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are omniscient. You know the place where the father resides. Therefore, please do Havi Behen for the ancestors of Pitarlok away from us. Please sprinkle streams of water near the ancestors. May the blessings of the ancestors be devoted to us. We salute the ancestors. Swaha for agni. (20)
स्यो॒ना पृ॑थिवि नो भवानृक्ष॒रा नि॒वेश॑नी । यच्छा॑ नः॒ शर्म॑ स॒प्रथाः॑ । अप॑ नः॒ शोशु॑चद॒घम् ॥ (२१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पृथ्वी देवी! आप हमारे वास योग्य होने की कृपा कीजिए. आप हमारे लिए सुख प्रदान कीजिए. आप हमें कष्ट मुक्त कीजिए. आप हमारे पापों को हम से दूर करने व हमें पवित्र बनाने की कृपा कीजिए. (२१)
EN English Translation
O Goddess of earth! Please be worthy of our dwelling. You give us happiness. You free us from suffering. Please take away our sins from us and make us holy. (21)
अ॒स्मात्त्वमधि॑ जा॒तोऽसि॒ त्वद॒यं जा॑यतां॒ पुनः॑ । अ॒सौ स्व॒र्गाय॑ लो॒काय॒ स्वाहा॑ ॥ (२२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप यजमान द्वारा उपजाए जाते हैं. फिर बारबार यजमान द्वारा उपजाए जाते हैं. यह यजमान स्वर्ग के व लोक के लिए यज्ञ संपादित करते हैं. हे अग्नि! आप के लिए स्वाहा. (२२)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are raised by the host. Then again and again they are raised by the host. These hosts perform yajna for heaven and for the world. O agni! Swaha for you. (22)
