एदम॑गन्म देव॒यज॑नं पृथि॒व्या यत्र॑ दे॒वासो॒ऽअजु॑षन्त॒ विश्वे॑ । ऋ॒क्सा॒माभ्या॑ स॒न्तर॑न्तो॒ यजु॑र्भी रा॒यस्पोषे॑ण॒ समि॒षा म॑देम । इ॒माऽआपः॒ शमु॑ मे सन्तु दे॒वीरोष॑धे॒ त्राय॑स्व॒ स्वधि॑ते॒ मैन॑ꣳहिꣳसीः ॥ (१)

जिस यज्ञ स्थान पर सारे देवता प्रसन्न होते हैं, हम सभी यजमान उसी स्थल पर इकठठे हुए हैं. ऋग्वेद और सामवेद के मंत्रों से हम यज्ञ के पार जाते हैं. यजुर्वेद के मंत्रों से यज्ञ करते हुए हम धन और पोषण प्राप्त करते हैं. ये जल हमारे लिए शांतिदायी हों. दिव्य गुणों वाली ओषधियां हमें रोगों से बचाएं. ये अस्त्रशस्त्र (अनावश्यक) हिंसाकारी न हों. EN English Translation
At the place of yajna where all the gods are pleased, all of us hosts are gathered at the same place. With the mantras of Rigveda and Samaveda, we go beyond the yajna. We get wealth and nutrition by performing yajna with the mantras of Yajurveda. May these waters be peaceful for us. Do medicines with divine qualities protect us from diseases. These weapons should not be (unnecessary) violent. (1)
आपो॑ऽअ॒स्मान् मा॒तरः॑ शुन्धयन्तु घृ॒तेन॑ नो घृत॒प्वः पुनन्तु । विश्व॒ꣳ हि रि॒प्रं प्र॒वह॑न्ति दे॒वीरुदिदा॑भ्यः॒ शुचि॒रा पू॒तऽए॑मि । दी॒क्षा॒त॒पसो॑स्त॒नूर॑सि॒ तां त्वा॑ शि॒वा श॒ग्मां परि॑दधे भ॒द्रं वर्णं॒ पुष्य॑न् ॥ (२)

जल हमारी मां है. जल हमें शोधित (शुद्ध) करने की कृपा करे. घी से जो जल झरता है, वह हमें पवित्र करने की कृपा करे. प्रबाहित होता हुआ जल सभी पापों को धो दे. जल से हम शुद्ध और पवित्र होते हैं. हे रेशमी वस्त्र! आप दीक्षातपस देव का शरीर हो. आप कोमल, सुखद, कल्याणकारी व श्रेष्ठ (सुंदर) रंग बाले हैं. हम आप को (यज्ञ में) धारण करते हैं. EN English Translation
Water is our mother. May water please purify us. May the water that flows from ghee be pleased to sanctify us. May the flowing water wash away all sins. We are pure and pure with water. O silk cloth! You are the body of Deekshatapas Dev. You are gentle, pleasant, welfare and beautiful. We hold you (in the yagna). (2)
म॒हीनां॒ पयो॑ऽसि वर्चो॒दाऽअ॑सि॒ वर्चो॑ मे देहि । वृ॒त्रस्या॑सि क॒नीन॑कश्चक्षु॒र्दाऽअ॑सि॒ चक्षु॑र्मे देहि ॥ (३)

आप गायों का दूध हैं. आप वर्चस्व (चमक) देने बाले हैं. आप हमें वर्चस्व प्रदान कीजिए. आप वृत्र की आंख की पुतली हैं. आप आंख देने बाले हैं. आप हमें आंख प्रदान कीजिए. (३)
EN English Translation
You are the milk of cows. You are the giver of supremacy (shine). You give us supremacy. You are the pupil of the eye of the tree. You are eye-giving. You give us an eye. (3)
चि॒त्पति॑र्मा पुनातु वा॒क्पति॑र्मा पुनातु दे॒वो मा॑ सवि॒ता पु॑ना॒त्वच्छि॑द्रेण प॒वित्रे॑ण॒ सूर्य॑स्य र॒श्मिभिः॑ । तस्य॑ ते पवित्रपते प॒वित्र॑पूतस्य॒ यत्का॑मः पु॒ने तच्छ॑केयम् ॥ (४)

आप चित्त (मन) के पति (स्वामी) हैं. आप हमें पवित्र कीजिए. आप वाणी के स्वामी हैं. आप हमें पवित्र बनाइए. दोष (छिट्रों) से रहित सविता देव हमें पवित्र करने की कृपा करों. सूर्य अपनी किरणों से हमें पवित्र बनाएं. हे पवित्रपति! हम आप के पुत्र हैं. हम पवित्र हो कर अपनी मनोकामना पूर्ण करें, ताकि हम और अधिक यज्ञ करने योग्य हो सकें. (४)
EN English Translation
You are the husband (master) of the mind. You sanctify us. You are the master of speech. You make us holy. May Savita Dev, dev, without defects, bless us. Make us holy with the sun's rays. O Holy Lord! We are your sons. Let us become pure and fulfill our wishes, so that we can be able to perform more sacrifices. (4)
आ वो॑ देवासऽईमहे वा॒मं प्र॑य॒त्यध्व॒रे । आ वो॑ देवासऽआ॒शिषो॑ य॒ज्ञिया॑सो हवामहे ॥ (५)

हे देवताओ! हम इस यज्ञ के आरंभ में अपनी इच्छापूर्ति के लिए आप को आमंत्रित करते हैं. हे देवताओ! हम याज्ञिक (यज्ञ करने वाले) आशीर्वाद और यज्ञ फल की प्राप्ति के लिए आप का आह्वान करते हैं. (५)

O gods! We invite you to fulfill your wish at the beginning of this yajna. O gods! We call upon you to get yagnik (yajna performers) blessings and yajna fruits. (5)
स्वाहा॑ य॒ज्ञं मन॑सः॒ स्वाहो॑रोर॒न्तरि॑क्षा॒त् स्वाहा॒ द्यावा॑पृथि॒वीभ्या॒ स्वाहा॒ वाता॒दार॑भे॒ स्वाहा॑ ॥ (६)

हे यज्ञ देव! हम मन से यज्ञ करते हैं. उन के लिए स्वाहा. अंतरिक्षलोक, स्वर्गलोक च पृथ्वीलोक के लिए स्वाहा. हम वायु को यज्ञ के आरंभ में ही आहुति अर्पित करते हैं.(६)
EN English Translation
O Sacrificial God! We perform yajna with our heart. Swaha for them. Space, heaven, heaven for earth. We offer sacrifices to the air at the beginning of the yajna. (6)
आकू॑त्यै प्र॒युजे॒ऽग्नये॒ स्वाहा॑ मे॒धायै॒ मन॑से॒ऽग्नये॒ स्वाहा॑ दी॒क्षायै॒ तप॑से॒ऽग्नये॒ स्वाहा॒ सर॑स्वत्यै पू॒ष्णेऽग्नये॒ स्वाहा॑ । आपो॑ देवीर्बृहतीर्विश्वशम्भुवो॒ द्यावा॑पृथिवी॒ऽउरो॑ऽन्तरिक्ष । बृह॒स्पत॑ये ह॒विषा॑ विधेम॒ स्वाहा॑ ॥ (७)

अग्नि यज्ञ के संकल्प की प्रेरणा देने वाले हैं. उन के लिए स्वाहा. अग्नि यज्ञ की बुद्धि देते हैं. यज्ञ करने में मन को प्रेरित करते हैं. अग्नि के लिए स्वाहा. दीक्षा और तप की सिद्धि हेतु अग्नि को यह आहुति दी जाती है. सरस्वती देवी के लिए स्वाहा. पूषा देव के लिए स्वाहा. अग्नि के लिए स्वाहा. हे जल देव! आप के लिए स्वाहा. संसार के पालक शंभु देव के लिए स्वाहा. स्वर्गलोक के लिए स्वाहा. पृथ्वीलोक के लिए स्वाहा. विशाल अंतरिक्षलोक के लिए स्वाहा. हम बृहस्पति के लिए हवि समर्पित करते हैं. उन के लिए स्वाहा. He is the inspiration for the resolution of agni yajna. Swaha for them. They give the wisdom of agni sacrifice. Motivates the mind to perform yajna. Swaha for agni. This sacrifice is given to agni for the accomplishment of initiation and penance. Swaha for Saraswati Devi. Swaha for Pusha Dev. Swaha for agni. O God of Water! Swaha for you. Swaha for Shambhu Dev, the guardian of the world. Swaha for heaven. Swaha for the earth. Swaha for the vast spaceland. We dedicate Havi to Jupiter. Swaha for them. (7)
विश्वो॑ दे॒वस्य॑ ने॒तुर्मर्त्तो॑ वुरीत स॒ख्यम् । विश्वो॑ रा॒यऽइ॑षुध्यति द्यु॒म्नं वृ॑णीत पु॒ष्यसे॒ स्वाहा॑ ॥ (८)

सविता देव सभी देवों का नेतृत्व करने बाले हैं. वे वरेण्य (श्रेष्ठ) गुणों वाले हैं. हम उन की मित्रता पाना चाहते हैं. हम उन से सभी प्रकार के वैभव चाहते हैं. हम सब के लिए उन से धन प्राप्ति की चाह रखते हैं. हम स्वर्गदायी वैभव (यशस्वी) चाहते हैं. हम प्रजा का पोषण करने के लिए धन चाहते हैं. सविता देव के लिए स्वाहा. Savita Dev is the leader of all the gods. They have varenya (superior) qualities. We want to be friends with them. We want all kinds of splendour from them. We all want to get money from them. We want heavenly glory . We want money to nurture the people. Swaha for Savita Dev. (8)
ऋ॒क्सा॒मयोः॒ शिल्पे॑ स्थ॒स्ते वा॒मार॑भे॒ ते मा॑ पात॒मास्य य॒ज्ञस्यो॒दृचः॑ । शर्मा॑सि॒ शर्म॑ मे यच्छ॒ नम॑स्तेऽअस्तु॒ मा मा॑ हिꣳसीः ॥ (९)

हे ऋग्वेद के देव! हे सामवेद के देव! हे शिष्य स्थित देव! हम यज्ञ में गाई गई ऋचाओं से आप का स्पर्श करते (आप तक पहुंचते) हैं. आप ऋचाओं का गान करते समय हमारी रक्षा करने की कृपा कीजिए. आप आश्रय (सुख) दाता हैं. आप हमें आश्रय (सुख) देने की कृपा कीजिए. आप को नमस्कार है. आप हमें कष्ट मत दीजिए. (९)

O God of rigveda! O God of Samaveda! O disciple god! We touch (reach you) with the verses sung in the yajna. Please protect us while singing the verses. You are the giver of shelter ( happiness). Please give us shelter (happiness). Hello to you. You don't trouble us. (9)
ऊर्ग॑स्याङ्गिर॒स्यूर्ण॑म्रदा॒ऽऊर्जं॒ मयि॑ धेहि । सोम॑स्य नी॒विर॑सि॒ विष्णोः॒ शर्मा॑सि॒ शर्म॑ यज॑मान॒स्येन्द्र॑स्य॒ योनि॑रसि सुऽस॒स्याः कृ॒षीस्कृ॑धि । उच्छ्र॑यस्व वनस्पतऽऊ॒र्ध्वो मा॑ पा॒ह्यꣳह॑स॒ऽआस्य य॒ज्ञस्यो॒दृचः॑ ॥ (१०)

हे यज्ञमेखला! आप अंगों को ऊर्जा प्रदान करती हैं. आप मुझे ऊर्जा धारण कराइए. आप सोम की नीवी हो. आप विष्णु को भी सुख प्रदान करती हैं. आप यजमानों को भी सुख प्रदान कीजिए, आप इंद्र की योनि हैं. आप खेती को समृद्धि "दीजिए. आप बनस्पति को उन्नतिवान बनाइए. हमें यज्ञ की ऋचाएं गाते समय पाप से बचाने की कृपा कीजिए. O hosts! Fire is Brahma and Yajna. You follow the brat towards them. Banaspatis are worthy of yajna. We believe in the goddess of wisdom. We worship for the fulfillment of happiness and desire. We want to wear yajnawahi speech. May the best intellect remain in our arms. The deities who grow in the mind (faculty etc.), put the mind (in the resolution), the deities who are of efficient resolve, please protect them in the Dev Yagya. May those gods please protect us. Swaha to all those gods. (11)
श्वा॒त्राः पी॒ता भ॑वत यू॒यमा॑पोऽअ॒स्माक॑म॒न्तरु॒दरे॑ सु॒शेवाः॑ । ताऽअ॒स्मभ्य॑मय॒क्ष्माऽअ॑नमी॒वाऽअना॑गसः॒ स्व॑दन्तु दे॒वीर॒मृता॑ऽऋता॒वृधः॑ ॥ (१२)

हे देव! आप जल रूप हैं. हम आप का सेवन करते हैं. आप हमारे पेट के भीतर (पुष्टिकारक हो कर) सुख दीजिए. हमारे लिए जल क्षयरोगकारी न हों. जल हमारी सामान्य (रोजमर्रा की) दिक्कतों (बाधाओं) को दूर करने वाले, दिव्य, अमृत स्वरूप एवं स्वादिष्ट हो. यज्ञ में ऋत (सत्य) की बढ़ोतरी करने वाले हों. (१२)

Oh My God! You are the form of water. We consume you. You give pleasure (confirmatory) inside our stomach. Water should not be tuberculosis for us. Water should be divine, nectar-form and delicious, removing our common (everyday) problems (obstacles). In yajna, there should be an increase in the truth. (12)
इ॒यं ते॑ य॒ज्ञिया॑ त॒नूर॒पो मु॑ञ्चामि॒ न प्र॒जाम् । अ॒ꣳहो॒मुचः॒ स्वाहा॑कृताः पृथि॒वीमावि॑शत पृथि॒व्या सम्भ॑व ॥ (१३)

हे यज्ञ देव! पृथ्वी का शरीर यज्ञ करने योग्य है. हम इस में जल छोड़ते हैं. प्रजा (जनता) के लिए लाभदायी जल नहीं छोड़ते हैं. आप हमें इस पाप से मुक्त कीजिए. स्वाहा के रूप में छोड़ा गया जल पृथ्वी में प्रवेश कर के पृथ्वी की मिट्टी में मिल कर एकमेक हो जाए, आप ऐसी कृपा कीजिए. (१३)

O Sacrificial God! The body of the earth is worthy of sacrifice. We release water into it. They do not leave beneficial water for the people. You free us from this sin. The water released in the form of swaha enters the earth and merges into the soil of the earth, please do such a thing. (13)
अग्ने॒ त्वꣳ सु जा॑गृहि व॒यꣳ सु म॑न्दिषीमहि । रक्षा॑ णो॒ऽअप्र॑युच्छन् प्र॒बुधे॑ नः॒ पुन॑स्कृधि ॥ (१४)

हे अग्नि! आप अच्छी तरह (भलीभांति) जागिए (प्रज्वलित होइए). हम यजमान भलीभांति नींद का आनंद लेते हैं. आप हमारी रक्षा व हमें प्रबुद्ध कीजिए. आप हमें विविध कामों में लगाइए. (१४)

O agni! You wake up well (ignite). We hosts enjoy a good sleep. You protect us and enlighten us. You put us in various tasks. (14)
पुन॒र्मनः॒ पुन॒रायु॑र्म॒ऽआग॒न् पुनः॑ प्रा॒णः पुन॑रा॒त्मा मऽआग॒न् पुन॒श्चक्षुः॒ पुनः॒ श्रोत्रं॑ म॒ऽआग॑न् । वै॒श्वा॒न॒रोऽद॑ब्धस्तनू॒पाऽअ॒ग्निर्नः॑ पातु दुरि॒ताद॑व॒द्यात् ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मन फिर से आ गया. आयु पुनः आ गई. पुनः प्राण प्राप्त हो गए. पुनः आत्मा प्राप्त हो गई. पुनः नेत्र मिल गए. पुनः कान मिल गए. हे अग्नि! आप सब का कल्याण चाहते हैं. आप शरीर के रक्षक हैं. आप का दमन नहीं किया जा सकता. हे अग्नि! आप हमें पापों व बुरे कामों से बचाएं. (१५)

The mind came again. Age came back. He was killed again. The soul was regained. Got my eyes again. Got ears again. O agni! You want everyone's welfare. You are the protector of the body. You cannot be suppressed. O agni! May you save us from sins and evil deeds. (15)
त्वम॑ग्ने व्रत॒पाऽअ॑सि दे॒वऽआ मर्त्ये॒ष्वा । त्वं य॒ज्ञेष्वीड्यः॑ । रास्वेय॑त्सो॒मा भूयो॑ भर दे॒वो नः॑ सवि॒ता वसो॑र्दा॒ता वस्व॑दात् ॥ (१६)

हे अग्नि! आप व्रतपालक देवताओं, मनुष्यों में पूजनीय एवं यज्ञ में आराधनीय (आराधना योग्य) हैं. हे सोम! आप हमें भरपूर धन दीजिए. आप हमें इतना धन दीजिए कि अपने साथसाथ हम लोगों का भी भला कर सकें. सविता देव धनदाता हैं. उन्होंने भी हमें बहुत धन देने की कृपा की है. (१६)

O agni! You are revered among the fasting deities, human beings and aradhaniya (worshipable) in yajna. O Mon! You give us plenty of money. You give us enough money to do good to you as well as us. Savita Dev is a wealth giver. He has also been pleased to give us a lot of money. (16)
ए॒षा ते॑ शुक्र त॒नूरे॒तद्वर्च॒स्तया॒ सम्भ॑व॒ भ्राज॑ङ्गच्छ । जूर॑सि धृ॒ता मन॑सा॒ जुष्टा॒ विष्ण॑वे ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप चमकीले हैं. यह घी आप के शरीर को बढ़ा रहा है. चमकती और ऊपर उठती हुई आप की लपटें और ऊपर आकाश तक जाएं, हम ने मन से वाणी धारण की है. यह बाणी और अधिक वेगवान व विष्णु को संतुष्ट करने वाली हो. (१७)

O agni! You're bright. This ghee is increasing your body. Your flames shine and rise and go up to the sky, we have taken the voice with our heart. This bani should be more fast and satisfying Vishnu. (17)
तस्या॑स्ते स॒त्यस॑वसः प्रस॒वे त॒न्वो य॒न्त्रम॑शीय॒ स्वाहा॑ । शु॒क्रम॑सि च॒न्द्रम॑स्य॒मृत॑मसि वैश्वदे॒वम॑सि ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप सत्य स्वरूप हैं. हम भी आप के उस सत्य स्वरूप को पाएं. अर्थात् आप इसे हमारे शरीर में भी उपजाइए. हम आप का यह अनुशासन (यंत्र) पा सकें. आप के लिए आहुति प्रदान करते हैं. आप चमकीले, चंद्र, अमृत व सब के देव हैं. (१८)

O agni! You are the true nature. Let us also find that true nature of you. That is, you also grow it in our body. We can get this discipline from you. Offer sacrifices for you. You are the god of the bright, the moon, the elixir and all. (18)
चिद॑सि म॒नासि॒ धीर॑सि॒ दक्षि॑णासि क्ष॒त्रिया॑सि य॒ज्ञिया॒स्यदि॑तिरस्युभयतःशी॒र्ष्णी । सा नः॒ सुप्रा॑ची॒ सुप्र॑तीच्येधि मि॒त्रस्त्वा॑ प॒दि ब॑ध्नीतां पू॒षाऽध्व॑नस्पा॒त्विन्द्रा॒याध्य॑क्षाय ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मंत्रबाणी! आप चित्त, मन, धीर, दक्षिण, क्षत्रिय व यज्ञ करने योग्य हैं. आप अदिति, दोनों ओर से सिर बाली पूर्व व पश्चिम दिशा वाली एवं मित्र हैं. आप के पैरों में (प्रेम भाव का) बंधन (बेड़ी) डालना चाहते हैं. इंद्र यज्ञ के अध्यक्ष हैं. हम उन्हें प्रसन्न करना चाहते हैं. हम पूषा देव से अनुरोध करते हैं कि वे यज्ञ के मार्ग की रक्षा करने की कृपा करें. (१९)
EN English Translation
This mantra! You are capable of performing mind, mind, patience, south, kshatriya and yagya. You are Aditi, head on both sides, east and west direction and friend. You want to put a bond (of love) in your feet. Indra is the president of the yagna. We want to please them. We request Pusha Dev to please protect the path of yajna. (19)
अनु॑ त्वा मा॒ता म॑न्यता॒मनु॑ पि॒ताऽनु भ्राता॒ सग॒र्भ्योऽनु॒ सखा॒ सयू॑थ्यः । सा दे॑वि दे॒वमच्छे॒हीन्द्रा॑य॒ सोम॑ꣳ रु॒द्रस्त्वा॑वर्त्तयत् स्वस्ति सोम॑सखा॒ पुन॒रेहि॑ ॥ (२०)

हे वाग् देवी! आप को इंद्र के लिए सोम लेने जाना है. इस के लिए आप को माता, पिता, भाई, बहन, मित्रगण और पड़ोसी अनुमति प्रदान करने की कृपा करें. सोम लेने के बाद रुद्र देव आप को हमारी ओर लाने व हमारा कल्याण करने की कृपा करें. आप सोमसखा को ले कर पुनः यहां आने की कृपा करें. (२०)

O devi! You have to go to take Mon for Indra. For this, please allow you to mother, father, brother, sister, friends and neighbors. After taking Som, Rudra Dev should be pleased to bring you towards us and do us welfare. Please take Somsakha and come here again. (20)
वस्व्य॒स्यदि॑तिरस्यादि॒त्यासि॑ रु॒द्रासि॑ च॒न्द्रासि॑ । बृह॒स्पति॑ष्ट्वा सु॒म्ने र॑म्णातु रु॒द्रो वसु॑भि॒राच॑के ॥ (२१)

परि॑ माग्ने॒ दुश्च॑रिताद् बाध॒स्वा मा॒ सुच॑रिते भज । उदायु॑षा स्वा॒युषोद॑स्थाम॒मृताँ॒२ऽअनु॑ ॥ (२८)
