हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
विराट् के रूप में कल्पित ओदन अर्थात् भात का शीश बृहस्पति और मुख ब्रह्म है. (१)

The idol conceived in the form of Virata means the mirror of rice is Jupiter and the mouth is Brahma. (1)
द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी श्रो॒त्रे सू॑र्याचन्द्र॒मसा॒वक्षि॑णी सप्तऋ॒षयः॑ प्राणापा॒नाः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
द्यावा पृथ्वी उस ओदन के दोनों कान, सूर्य, चंद्रमा दोनों आंखें और सात ऋषि उस के प्राण तथा अपान वायु हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
The earth is the two ears of that ocean, the sun, the moon, both the eyes and the seven sages are his life and his air. (2)

इस प्रकार की महिमा वाले ओदन का मूसल चक्षु और उलूखल कान हैं. (३)

The pestle of odan with this kind of glory is the eye and the ulukhal ears. (3)

असुरों की माता इस का सूप हैं, देव माता अदिति उस सूप को पकड़ने वाली हैं और वायु चावलों और भूसी का विवेचन करने वाले हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
The mother of asuras is its soup, Dev Mata Aditi is going to catch that soup and discuss air rice and husk. (4)

ओदन संबंधी कण अश्व, चावल गाय और भूसी मशक अर्थात् मच्छर हैं. (५)

Ody particles are horses, rice cows and husks are mosquitoes. (5)

इस ओदन का फलीकरण ही कब्रु नामक प्राणी है, जिस के सिर और भौंहों में भेद नहीं होता. आकाश में घूमता हुआ मेरु ही उस का सिर है. (६)
EN English Translation
The fruitification of this odan is a creature called Grave, whose head and eyebrows do not differentiate. Meru is his head moving in the sky. (6)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
खनित्र अथवा फावड़े का काले रंग का लोहा इस विराट रूप ओदन का मांस और लाल रंग का तांबा इस का रक्त है. (७)

The black colored iron of the miner or shovel is the flesh of this huge form odan and the red colored copper is its blood. (7)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ओदन पकाने के पश्चात होने वाली राख जस्ता है, सोना इस ओदन का रंग है और कमल इस की गंध है. (८)
EN English Translation
The ash after cooking the odan is zinc, gold is the color of this odan and lotus is the smell of it. (8)

खल अर्थात् खलिहान इस ओदन का पात्र तथा अनाज भरने की गाड़ी के फूले हुए भाग इस के कंधे और गाड़ी की हरसें इस ओदन के कंधों और शरीर के बीच के जोड़ है. (९)
EN English Translation
The barn is the vessel of this odan and the puffy part of the grain filling car, its shoulder and the harse of the car are the joints between the shoulders and body of this odan. (9)

सभी प्राणियों से संबंधित जो आंतें हैं, वे ही बैलों को गाड़ी में जोड़ने की रस्सियां हैं समस्त प्राणियों के शरीर की गुदा गाड़ी और जुए को जोड़ने हेतु चमड़े की रस्सियां हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
The intestines related to all beings are the ropes for connecting bulls to the cart, the carriage of the body of all beings and the leather ropes to connect gambling. (10)
इ॒यमे॒व पृ॑थि॒वी कु॒म्भी भ॑वति॒ राध्य॑मानस्यौद॒नस्य॒ द्यौर॑पि॒धान॑म् ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यह दिखाई देती हुई पृथ्वी पकाए जाते हुए पूर्वोक्त ओदन को पकाने की बटलोई है तथा द्युलोक उसे ढकने का पात्र है. (११)

This visible earth is the ability to cook the above odan while being cooked and The dulok is the object of covering it. (11)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
खेत में हल चलाने से बनने वाली रेखाएं इस ओदन की पसली की हड्डियां हैं तथा नदियों की बालू इस के पेट के भीतर के आधे पके हुए तृण हैं. (१२)
EN English Translation
The lines formed by ploughing in the field are the rib bones of this odan and the sand of the rivers are half-ripe straws inside its stomach. (12)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
लोक में विद्यमान समस्त जल इस ओदन के हाथ धुलाने के लिए हैं तथा छोटी नदियां इस ओदन को मिलाने का साधन हैं. (१३)

All the water present in the world is to wash the hands of this odan and small rivers are the means of mixing this odan. (13)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
विराटू रूप ओदन को पकाने वाली बटलोई ऋग्वेद में अग्नि पर रखी है और यजुर्वेद ने इस में आग जलाई है. (१४)
EN English Translation
Batloi, which cooks the Viratu form Odan, is placed on agni in the Rig Veda and Yajurveda has lit agni in it. (14)

इस ओदन को पकाने वाली बटलोई अथर्ववेद ने पकड़ी है और सामवेद ने इसे चारों ओर से अंगारों से घेर दिया है. (१५)

The batloi that cooked this odan has been caught by atharvaveda and samaveda has surrounded it with coals from all sides. (15)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
बृहत् साम पानी में डाले गए चावलों को मिलाने का काठ है तथा रथंतर साम बटलोई से भात निकालने की करछुली है. (१६)

It is a ritual to mix rice put in large sum water and there is a worm to extract rice from Rathantar Sam Batloi. (16)

वसंत आदि ऋतुएं इस ओदन को पकाने वाली हैं और ऋतुओं संबंधी रातदिन अग्नि को जलाते हैं. (१७)

Spring etc. seasons are the cook of this odan and the seasons burn the agni day and night. (17)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
गाय, अश्च, पुरुष, बकरी, भेड़ की उत्पत्ति का कारण विराट् ही चरु अर्थात् ओदन पकाने का पात्र है. सूर्य की धूप उसे गरम करती है. (१८)
EN English Translation
The reason for the origin of cow, ash, man, goat, sheep is the huge charu i.e. the vessel of cooking odan. The sun's sun warms it up. (18)

इस प्रकार महा प्रभाव से पके हुए ओदन के द्वारा यज्ञों से प्राप्त होने वाले सभी लोग पाए जा सकते हैं. (१९)
EN English Translation
In this way, all the people who get from the yagyas can be found through the odan cooked with great effect. (19)
यस्मि॑न्त्समु॒द्रो द्यौर्भूमि॒स्त्रयो॑ऽवरप॒रं श्रि॒ताः ॥ (२०)

इस ओदन में सागर, द्यौ और भूमि ऊपरनीचे स्थित है. (२०)

This ocean is located below the sea, the sea and the land. (20)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यज्ञ से बचे हुए इस ओदन के अंश से चार सौ अस्सी देव शक्तिशाली बनें. (२१)

Four hundred and eighty gods became powerful with the part of this odan left from the yajna. (21)
तं त्वौ॑द॒नस्य॑ पृच्छामि॒ यो अ॑स्य महि॒मा म॒हान् ॥ (२२)

शिष्य ने प्रश्न किया-'हे गुरु! मैं आप के इस ओदन की उस महिमा को पूछता हूं, जो अत्यधिक है.' (२२)

The disciple asked, "O Master! I ask the glory of this odan of yours, which is excessive. (22)

वह प्रसिद्ध गुरु है, जो इस ओदन की महिमा जाने. (२३)

He is the famous guru, who knows the glory of this odan. (23)
नाल्प॒ इति॑ ब्रूया॒न्नानु॑पसेच॒न इति॒ नेदं च॒ किं चेति॑ ॥ (२४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
गुरु ओदन की महिमा के उपदेश के समय महिमा की अल्पता का उपदेश न करे. वह ओदन दूध, घी, आदि से रहित है, ऐसा भी न कहे. वह ओदन सामने रखा है अथवा वह अनिर्दिष्ट है, ऐसा भी न कहे. (२४)
EN English Translation
At the time of preaching the glory of Guru Odan, do not preach the lack of glory. Do not say that odan is devoid of milk, ghee, etc. Do not say that he is placed in front of the odan or he is unspecified. (24)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ब्रह्मौदन सत्र यज्ञ का अनुष्ठान करने वाला मन से जितना फल पाना चाहे, गुरु उस से अधिक फल न बताए. (२५)
EN English Translation
The guru should not give more fruit than the person who performs the ritual of Brahmaudan Satra Yagya wants to get from the mind. (25)
ब्र॑ह्मवा॒दिनो॑ वदन्ति॒ परा॑ञ्चमोद॒नं प्राशीः३ प्र॒त्यञ्चा३मिति॑ ॥ (२६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वेद के विचारक महर्षि परस्पर कहते हैं कि हे देवदत्त! तुम ने इस ओदन को पराङ्मुख हो कर खाया है अथवा आत्माभिमुख हो कर खाया है. (२६)

Maharishi, the thinker of the Vedas, says to each other, "O Devdatta! You have eaten this odan in front of you or in front of the soul. (26)

तुम ने ओदन को खाया है अथवा ओदन ने तुम्हें खाया है. (२७)
EN English Translation
You have eaten Odan or Odan has eaten you. (27)
परा॑ञ्चं चैनं॒ प्राशीः॑ प्रा॒णास्त्वा॑ हास्य॒न्तीत्ये॑नमाह ॥ (२८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यदि तुम ने पराङ्मुख हो कर ब्रह्मौदन खाया है, तो प्राण तुम्हें त्याग देंगे. ऐसे ओदन खाने वाले की महिमा को विद्वान् बताएं. (२८)
EN English Translation
If you have eaten Brahmaodana in front of you, then life will forsake you. Scholars tell the glory of such an odan eater. (28)
प्र॒त्यञ्चं॑ चैनं॒ प्राशी॑रपा॒नास्त्वा॑ हास्य॒न्तीत्ये॑नमाह ॥ (२९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यदि तुम ने आत्माभिमुख हो कर ब्रह्मौदन खाया है तो अपान वायु तुम्हें त्याग देगी. ऐसा ओदन खाने वाले की महिमा को विद्वान् बताएं. (२९)
EN English Translation
If you have eaten Brahmaudan facing the soul, then the air of apana will abandon you. Scholars should tell the glory of the person who eats such odan. (29)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
न मैं ने ओदन खाया है और न ओदन ने मुझे खाया है. (३०)
EN English Translation
Neither have I eaten Odan nor has Odan eaten Me. (30)
