हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
व्रात्य अर्थात् समूहों का हित करने वाला समूहपति सब का प्रेरक था. भग ने प्रजापालक को उत्तम प्रेरणा दी. (१)
EN English Translation
Vratya i.e. the group husband who benefited the groups was the motivator of everyone. Bhaga gave great inspiration to the people. (1)
स प्र॒जाप॑तिःसु॒वर्ण॑मा॒त्मन्न॑पश्य॒त्तत्प्राज॑नयत् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
उस प्रजापति ने आत्मा को उत्तम तेज से युक्त किया तथा उस ने सब को उत्पन्न किया. (२)
EN English Translation
That Prajapati equiped the soul with the best radiance and he created everyone. (2)
तदेक॑मभव॒त्तल्ल॒लाम॑मभव॒त्तन्म॒हद॑भव॒त्तज्ज्ये॒ष्ठम॑भव॒त्तद्ब्रह्मा॑भव॒त्तत्तपो॑ऽभव॒त्तत्स॒त्यम॑भव॒त्तेन॒ प्राजा॑यत ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वह विलक्षण तथा विशाल हुआ. वह श्रेष्ठ ब्रह्म हुआ. वह तपाने वाला तथा सत्य हुआ. उस के द्वारा यह विश्व प्रकट हुआ. (३)
EN English Translation
He became extraordinary and huge. He became the best Brahman. It was hot and true. Through that this world appeared. (3)

वह वृद्धि को प्राप्त हुआ. वही महान और महादेव हुआ. (४)
EN English Translation
He received the rise. He became great and Mahadev. (4)

वह देवों का स्वामी एवं ईशान हुआ. (५)
EN English Translation
He became the swami of the gods and ishan. (5)
स ए॑कव्रा॒त्योऽभ॑व॒त्स धनु॒राद॑त्त॒ तदे॒वेन्द्र॑ध॒नुः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वह एक व्रात्य अर्थात् समूहों का स्वामी हुआ. उस ने धनुष उठाया और वह इंद्रधनुष बन गया. (६)
EN English Translation
He became the master of a vratya i.e. groups. He raised the bow and he became a rainbow. (6)

उस का पेट नीला और पीठ लाल है. (७)
EN English Translation
His stomach is blue and his back is red. (7)
नीले॑नै॒वाप्रि॑यं॒ भ्रातृ॑व्यं॒ प्रोर्णो॑ति॒ लोहि॑तेन द्वि॒षन्तं॑ विध्य॒तीति॑ब्रह्मवा॒दिनो॑ वदन्ति ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वह नीले भाग से अप्रिय शत्रु को घेरता है तथा अपने लाल भाग से द्वेष करने वालों को वेधता है. ऐसा ब्रह्मवादी जन कहते हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
He surrounds the unpleasant enemy with the blue part and pierces those who hate his red part. This is what the Brahmavadi people say. (8)
