ससं॑वत्स॒रमू॒र्ध्वोऽति॑ष्ठ॒त्तं दे॒वा अ॑ब्रुव॒न्व्रात्य॒ किं नु ति॑ष्ठ॒सीति॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वह एक वर्ष तक खड़ा रहा, तब देवताओं ने उस से पूछा-“हे व्रात्य! यह तप क्यों कर रहे हो?” (१)
EN English Translation
He stood for a year, and the gods asked him, "O Vratya! Why are you doing this penance?" (1)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
उस ने उत्तर दिया-“मेरे लिए आसंदी और बैठने की चौकी बनाओ.” (२)
EN English Translation
He replied, "Make me a seat and a seating post." (2)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
तब देवताओं ने उस के लिए आसंदी बनाई. (३)
EN English Translation
Then the gods made a seat for him. (3)
तस्या॑ग्री॒ष्मश्च॑ वस॒न्तश्च॒ द्वौ पादा॒वास्तां॑ श॒रच्च॑ व॒र्षाश्च॒ द्वौ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
उस के दो पाए ग्रीष्म और वसंत ऋष्तुएं तथा शेष दो पाए शरद और वर्षा नामक ऋ्तुएं हुई. (४)
EN English Translation
He had two summer and spring seasons and the remaining two autumn and rainy seasons. (4)
बृ॒हच्च॑ रथंत॒रंचा॑नू॒च्ये॒ आस्तां॑ यज्ञाय॒ज्ञियं॑ च वामदे॒व्यं च॑ तिर॒श्च्ये ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
बृहत् और रथंतर उस चौकी के बाजू अर्थात् अगलबगल के फलक या तख्ते थे. यज्ञायज्ञिय और वामदेव्य उस के तिरछे फलक अर्थात् तख्ते थे. (५)
EN English Translation
Brihat and Rathantar were the sides of that post, that is, the planks or planks of the agni. Yajnayagya and Vamdevya were his slanted planks. (5)

ऋग्वेद के मंत्र उसे बुनने के लिए लंबाई के तंतु और यजुर्वेद के मंत्र तिरछे तंतु थे. (६)
EN English Translation
The mantras of rigveda were fibers of length to weave it and the mantras of Yajurveda were diagonal fibers. (6)

वेद उस का बिछौना था और ब्रह्म उस के ओढ़ने का वस्त्र था. (७)

The Vedas were his bed and Brahman was his garment. (7)

सामवेद के मंत्र उस का गद्दा था और उद्गीथ उस का तकिया था. (८)

The mantra of Samaveda was his mattress and Udgeeth was his pillow. (8)

व्रात्य इस प्रकार की ज्ञानमयी चौकी पर चढ़ा. (९)

Vratya climbed this type of knowledgeable post. (9)
तस्य॑ देवज॒नाःप॑रिष्क॒न्दा आस॑न्त्संक॒ल्पाः प्र॑हा॒य्या॒ विश्वा॑नि भू॒तान्यु॑प॒सदः॑ ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
संकल्प उस के दूत बने तथा सभी प्राणी उस के साथ बैठने वाले हुए. (१०)
EN English Translation
Resolve became his messenger and all beings were going to sit with him. (10)
विश्वा॑न्ये॒वास्य॑ भू॒तान्यु॑प॒सदो॑ भवन्ति॒ य ए॒वं वेद॑ ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो इस बात को जानता है, सभी प्राणी उस के मित्र हो जाते हैं. (११)
EN English Translation
Whoever knows this, all beings become his friends. (11)
