ओ चि॒त्सखा॑यंस॒ख्या व॑वृत्यां ति॒रः पु॒रु चि॑दर्ण॒वं ज॑ग॒न्वान् । पि॒तुर्नपा॑त॒मा द॑धीतवे॒धा अधि॒ क्षमि॑ प्रत॒रं दीध्या॑नः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यमी का कथन-मैं समान प्रसिद्धि वाले मित्र यम को आदर भाव के अनुकूल बनाती हूं. समुद्र तट के समीप वाले द्वीप में चलते हुए यम अपने पुत्र को मुझ में स्थापित करें. हे यम! तुम्हारी प्रसिद्धि सभी लोकों में है. तुम सदा तेज से दीप्त रहो. (१)
EN English Translation
Yami's statement - I make Yama, a friend of equal fame, suited to respect. Yama should establish his son in me while walking in the island near the beach. O Yama! Your fame is in all worlds. May you always be bright. (1)
न ते॒ सखा॑स॒ख्यं व॑ष्ट्ये॒तत्सल॑क्ष्मा॒ यद्विषु॑रूपा॒ भव॑ति । म॒हस्पु॒त्रासो॒ असु॑रस्यवी॒रा दि॒वो ध॒र्तार॑ उर्वि॒या परि॑ ख्यन् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यम का कथन-मैं तेरा सोदर अर्थात् एक ही पेट से उत्पन्न हुआ तेरा मित्र हूं. पर मैं भाई और बहन के समागम संबंधी मित्र भाव की इच्छा नहीं करता हूं. तू एक उदर से उत्पन्न हो कर भी मेरी पत्नी बनने की कामना करती है. मैं ऐसे मित्रभाव को स्वीकार नहीं करता हूं शत्रुओं को दबाने वाले महाबली रुद्र के पुत्र मरुद्गण भी इस की निंदा करेंगे. (२)
EN English Translation
Yama's statement - I am your friend born from your son i.e. one stomach. But I do not wish to be friends with brother and sister. You are born from one stomach and wish to be my wife. I do not accept such friendship, marudgans, sons of Mahabali Rudra, who suppress enemies, will also condemn it. (2)
उ॒शन्ति॑ घा॒ तेअ॒मृता॑स ए॒तदेक॑स्य चित्त्य॒जसं॒ मर्त्य॑स्य । नि ते॒ मनो॒ मन॑सि धाय्य॒स्मेजन्युः॒ पति॑स्त॒न्वमा वि॑विष्याः ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यमी-हे यम! मरुद्गण उस मार्ग की इच्छा करते हैं, जिस का मैं ने तुम से निवेदन किया है. इसलिए तुम अपने मन को मेरी ओर लगाओ. फिर तुम संतान को उत्पन्न करने वाले मेरे पति बनते हुए भाई के भाव को छोड़ कर मुझ में प्रविष्ट हो जाओ. (३)
EN English Translation
Yami- O Yama! The Deserts desire the way I have requested you. So you turn your mind to me. Then you become my husband who produces children and leave the feeling of brother and enter me. (3)
न य॑त्पु॒राच॑कृ॒मा कद्ध॑ नू॒नमृ॒तं वद॑न्तो॒ अनृ॑तं॒ रपे॑म । ग॑न्ध॒र्वो अ॒प्स्वप्या॑ च॒योषा॒ सा नौ॒ नाभिः॑ पर॒मं जा॒मि तन्नौ॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यम-हे यमी! असत्य बात को हम सत्य भाषण करने वाले किस प्रकार सत्य कहें? जल को धारण करने वाले सूर्य भी आकाश में अपनी पत्नी के सहित स्थित हैं. इसलिए एक ही माता और पिता वाले हम दोनों उन्हीं के सामने तेरी इच्छा पूर्ण करने में समर्थ न होंगे. (४)
EN English Translation
Yama- O Yummy! How do we truth-makers call the untruth the truth? The sun, which holds water, is also located in the sky with his wife. Therefore, both of us with the same mother and father will not be able to fulfill your wish in front of them. (4)
गर्भे॒ नु नौ॑जनि॒ता दम्प॑ती कर्दे॒वस्त्वष्टा॑ सवि॒ता वि॒श्वरू॑पः । नकि॑रस्य॒ प्र मि॑नन्तिव्र॒तानि॒ वेद॑ नाव॒स्य पृ॑थि॒वी उ॒त द्यौः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यमी-हे यम! संतान उत्पन्न करने वाले देव ने हम दोनों को माता के उदर में ही दांपत्य बंधन में बांध दिया है. उस देव के कर्म का जो फल है, उसे कौन निष्फल कर सकता है. त्वष्टा देव के गर्भ में ही हमारे दंपती बनाने वाले कर्म को आकाश और पृथ्वी दोनों जानते हैं. इस कारण यह असत्य नहीं है. (५)
EN English Translation
Yami - Hey Yama! The God who produced children has tied both of us in the womb of the mother in the marital bond. Who can defeat the fruit of that God's deeds? Both the sky and the earth know the karma that makes our couples in the womb of Ttvashta Dev. For this reason it is not untrue. (5)
को अ॒द्ययु॑ङ्क्ते धु॒रि गा ऋ॒तस्य॒ शिमी॑वतो भा॒मिनो॑ दुर्हृणा॒यून् । आ॒सन्नि॑षून्हृ॒त्स्वसो॑ मयो॒भून्य ए॑षां भृ॒त्यामृ॒णध॒त्स जी॑वात् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यम-हे यमी! सत्य का भार वहन करने के निमित्त अपनी वाणी रूप वृषभ को कौन नियुक्त कर सकता है. कर्मठ, तेजस्वी, क्रोध और लज्जा से हीन तथा अपने शब्दों से श्रोताओं के हृदय में बैठने वाला जो पुरुष सत्य वचनों से ही वृद्धि करता है, वह उस के फल के कारण दीर्घजीवी होता है. (६)
EN English Translation
Yama- O Yummy! Who can appoint Taurus, the form of his speech, to bear the burden of truth? The man who is diligent, brilliant, devoid of anger and shame and sits in the heart of the audience with his words, who grows only by the words of truth, is long-lived because of its fruit. (6)
को अ॒स्य वे॑दप्रथ॒मस्याह्नः॒ क ईं॑ ददर्श॒ क इ॒ह प्र वो॑चत् । बृ॒हन्मि॒त्रस्य॒ वरु॑णस्य॒धाम॒ कदु॑ ब्रव आहनो॒ वीच्या॒ नॄन् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यमी-हे यम! हमारे प्रथम दिन को कौन जान रहा है और कौन देख रहा है? फिर कौन पुरुष इस बात को दूसरों से कह सकेगा? दिन मित्र देवता का स्थान है. ये दोनों ही विशाल हैं. इसलिए मेरी इच्छा के प्रतिकूल मुझे क्लेश देने वाले तुम अनेक कर्मों वाले मनुष्यों के संबंध में ऐसा किस प्रकार कहते हो. (७)
EN English Translation
Yami- O Yama! Who knows our first day and who is watching? Then which man can say this to others? The day is the place of friendly deity. Both of them are huge. Therefore, how do you say this in relation to men with many deeds who cause me tribulation against My will? (7)
य॒मस्य॑ माय॒म्यं काम॒ आग॑न्त्समा॒ने योनौ॑ सह॒शेय्या॑य । जा॒येव॒ पत्ये॑ त॒न्वंरिरिच्यां॒ वि चि॑द्वृहेव॒ रथ्ये॑व च॒क्रा ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मेरी इच्छा है कि पति को अपना शरीर अर्पण करने वाली पत्नी के समान यम को अपनी देह अर्पित करूं. वे दोनों पहिए के समान मार्ग में एकदूसरे से मिलते हैं. मैं उसी प्रकार की हो जाऊं. (८)
EN English Translation
I wish to offer my body to Yama like a wife who offered her body to my husband. They meet each other in the same path as the two wheels. I'll be the same. (8)
न ति॑ष्ठन्ति॒ ननि मि॑षन्त्ये॒ते दे॒वानां॒ स्पश॑ इ॒ह ये च॑रन्ति । अ॒न्येन॒ मदा॑हनो याहि॒तूयं॒ तेन॒ वि वृ॑ह॒ रथ्ये॑व च॒क्रा ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यम-हे यमी! देवदूत लगातार विचरण करते रहते हैं. इसलिए हे मेरी धर्म बुद्धि को नष्ट करने की इच्छा करने वाली! तू मुझे छोड़ कर किसी अन्य को अपना पति बना तथा शीघ्र जा कर रथ के पहिए के समान संयुक्त हो जा. (९)
EN English Translation
Yama- O Yummy! Angels are constantly moving. Therefore, O one who wishes to destroy my righteous intellect! You should make someone else your husband except me and go quickly and be united like the wheel of the chariot. (9)
रात्री॑भिरस्मा॒अह॑भिर्दशस्ये॒त्सूर्य॑स्य॒ चक्षु॒र्मुहु॒रुन्मि॑मीयात् । दि॒वा पृ॑थि॒व्यामि॑थु॒ना सब॑न्धू य॒मीर्य॒मस्य॑ विवृहा॒दजा॑मि ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यमी-यम के निमित्त यजमान दिनरात आहुति दें. प्रकाश करने वाला सूर्य का तेज नित्यप्रति इस के निमित्त उदय हो. आकाश और पृथ्वी जिस प्रकार आपस में मिले हुए हैं. उसी प्रकार मैं इस के भ्रातृत्व से अलग होती हुई इस से मिल जाऊं. (१०)
EN English Translation
On the occasion of Yami-Yama, the host should sacrifice day and night. The brightness of the lighting sun rises every day on its behalf. The way heaven and earth are intertwined. In the same way, I will separate from its brotherhood and meet it. (10)
आ घा॒ ताग॑च्छा॒नुत्त॑रा यु॒गानि॒ यत्र॑ जा॒मयः॑ कृ॒णव॒न्नजा॑मि । उप॑ बर्बृहि वृष॒भाय॑बा॒हुम॒न्यमि॑च्छस्व सुभगे॒ पतिं॒ मत् ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यम-संभव है, आगे चल कर ऐसे ही दिन और रात आएं, जब बहन अपने बंधु भाव को छोड़ कर पत्नी का रूप प्राप्त करने लगेगी. पर अभी ऐसा नहीं हो रहा है. इसलिए हे यमी! तू स्त्री में गर्भ धारण करने में समर्थ किसी अन्य पुरुष की ओर अपना हाथ बढ़ा और मुझे छोड़ कर उसी को अपना पति बनाने की इच्छा कर. (११)
EN English Translation
Yama- It is possible, in the future, such days and nights will come, when the sister will leave her brotherhood and start getting the form of a wife. But that is not happening right now. So O Yummy! You extend your hand to another man who is able to conceive in a woman and wish to leave me and make him your husband. (11)
किंभ्राता॑स॒द्यद॑ना॒थं भवा॑ति॒ किमु॒ स्वसा॒ यन्निरृ॑तिर्नि॒गच्छा॑त् । काम॑मूताब॒ह्वे॒तद्र॑पामि त॒न्वा॑ मे त॒न्वं सं पि॑पृग्धि ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यमी-वह भाई कैसा है, जिस के विद्यमान रहते हुए उस की बहन अपनी चाही हुई कामना से हीन रह जाए. वह कैसी बहन है, जिस के सामने ही उस का भाई काम संतप्त हो. इसी कारण तुम मेरी इच्छा के अनुसार आचरण करो. (१२)
EN English Translation
Yami- What is the brother whose presence, his sister should be inferior to her desired desire? What kind of sister is she, in front of whom her brother's work is angry. That is why you behave according to my will. (12)
न ते॑ ना॒थंय॒म्यत्रा॒हम॑स्मि॒ न ते॑ त॒नूं त॒न्वा॒ सम्प॑पृच्याम् । अ॒न्येन॒ मत्प्र॒मुदः॑कल्पयस्व॒ न ते॒ भ्राता॑ सुभगे वष्ट्ये॒तत् ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यम-हे यमी! मैं तेरी इस कामना को पूर्ण करने वाला नहीं हो सकता. मैं तेरी देह को स्पर्श नहीं कर सकता. इसलिए तू अब मुझे छोड़ कर किसी अन्य पुरुष से इस प्रकार का संबंध स्थापित कर. मैं तुझे पत्नी बनाने की कामना नहीं करता हूं. (१३)
EN English Translation
Yama- O Yummy! I cannot be going to fulfill this wish of yours. I can't touch your body. So you should now establish this kind of relationship with another man except me. I don't wish to make you a wife. (13)
न वा उ॑ ते त॒नूंत॒न्वा॒ सं पि॑पृच्यां पा॒पमा॑हु॒र्यः स्वसा॑रं नि॒गच्छा॑त् । असं॑यदे॒तन्मन॑सोहृ॒दो मे॒ भ्राता॒ स्वसुः॒ शय॑ने॒ यच्छयी॑य ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यम-हे यमी! मैं तेरे शरीर का स्पर्श नहीं कर सकता. धर्म के जानने वाले भाई और बहन के ऐसे संबंध को पाप कहते हैं. यदि मैं ऐसा करूं तो यह कर्म मेरे हृदय, मन और प्राण का नाश कर देगा. (१४)
EN English Translation
Yama- O Yummy! I can't touch your body. Such a relationship between brother and sister who knows dharma is called sin. If I do this, this action will destroy my heart, mind and soul. (14)
ब॒तो ब॑तासि यम॒नैव ते॒ मनो॒ हृद॑यं चाविदा॒म । अ॒न्या किल॒ त्वां क॒क्ष्येव यु॒क्तं परि॑ष्वजातौ॒ लिबु॑जेव वृ॒क्षम् ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यमी-हे यम! तेरी दुर्बलता पर मैं दुखी हूं. तेरा मन मुझ में नहीं लगा है. मैं अभी तक तेरे मन को नहीं समझ सकी. तू किसी अन्य स्त्री से संबंधित होगा. (१५)
EN English Translation
Yami- O Yama! I am saddened by your weakness. Your mind is not in me. I still can't understand your mind. You will belong to another woman. (15)
अ॒न्यमू॒ षुय॑म्य॒न्य उ॒ त्वां परि॑ ष्वजातै॒ लिबु॑जेव वृ॒क्षम् । तस्य॑ वा॒ त्वं मन॑ इच्छा॒स वा॒ तवाधा॑ कृणुष्व संविदं॒ सुभ॑द्राम् ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यम-हे यमी! रस्सी जिस प्रकार घोड़े से मिलती है, बेल जैसे पेड़ से लिपट जाती है, उसी प्रकार तू किसी अन्य पुरुष से मिल. तुम दोनों परस्पर अनुकूल मन वाले बनो. इस के बाद तू अत्यधिक कल्याण वाले पुत्र को प्राप्त कर. (१६)
EN English Translation
Yum- Oh yeah! Just as a rope meets a horse, is wrapped in a vine-like tree, so you meet another man. Both of you should be mutually friendly. After this, you will receive a son of great welfare. (16)
त्रीणि॒छन्दां॑सि क॒वयो॒ वि ये॑तिरे पुरु॒रूपं॑ दर्श॒तं वि॒श्वच॑क्षणम् । आपो॒ वाता॒ओष॑धय॒स्तान्येक॑स्मि॒न्भुव॑न॒ आर्पि॑तानि ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
देवताओं ने संसार को ढकने का प्रयत्न किया. जल तत्त्व देखने में प्रिय लगने वाला तथा विश्व को देखने वाला है, वायु तत्त्व भी दर्शनीय और विश्च द्रष्टा है. ओषधि तत्त्व भी इसी प्रकार का है. इन तीनों तत्त्वों को देवताओं ने पृथ्वी का भरणपोषण करने के लिए प्रतिष्ठित किया है. (१७)
EN English Translation
The gods tried to cover the world. The water element is dear to see and is going to see the world, the air element is also visible and world-seeing. The medicinal element is also of the same type. These three elements have been distinguished by the gods to sustain the earth. (17)
वृषा॒ वृष्णे॑दुदुहे॒ दोह॑सा दि॒वः पयां॑सि य॒ह्वो अदि॑ते॒रदा॑भ्यः । विश्वं॒ स वे॑द॒ वरु॑णो॒यथा॑ धि॒या स य॒ज्ञियो॑ यजति य॒ज्ञियाँ॑ ऋ॒तून् ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
महान अग्नि देव यजमान के निमित्त पाश आदि के द्वारा जल की वर्षा करते हैं. वे अपनी बुद्धि के माध्यम से सब को ऐसे जान लेते हैं, जैसे वरुण देव अपनी बुद्धि से सब को जानते हैं. ये ही अग्नि यज्ञ में देवों की पूजा करते हैं जो पूजा करने के योग्य है. (१८)
EN English Translation
The great agni god raines water through loop etc. for the host. He knows everyone through his intellect, just as Varun Dev knows everyone with his intellect. They worship the gods in the Agni Yagya which is worthy of worship. (18)
रप॑द्गन्ध॒र्वीरप्या॑ च॒ योष॑णा न॒दस्य॑ ना॒दे परि॑ पातु नो॒ मनः॑ । इ॒ष्टस्य॒मध्ये॒ अदि॑ति॒र्नि धा॑तु नो॒ भ्राता॑ नो ज्ये॒ष्ठः प्र॑थ॒मो वि वो॑चति ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जल धारण करने वाले सूर्य की वाणी और अंतरिक्ष में विचरने वाली सरस्वती मेरे द्वारा अग्नि की स्तुति कराएं तथा मेरे स्तुति रूप नाद में मन की रक्षा करे. इस के बाद देवमाता अदिति मुझे फल के मध्य स्थापित करें. बंधु के समान हितकारी अग्नि मुझे उत्तम यजमान बनाएं. (१९)
EN English Translation
May the voice of the sun, who holds water, and Saraswati, who roams in space, praise the agni through me and protect the mind in my praise form. After this, Devmata Aditi install me in the middle of the fruit. Make me a good host like a brother. (19)
सो चि॒न्नुभ॒द्रा क्षु॒मती॒ यश॑स्वत्यु॒षा उ॑वास॒ मन॑वे॒ स्वर्वती । यदी॑मु॒शन्त॑मुश॒तामनु॒ क्रतु॑म॒ग्निं होता॑रं वि॒दथा॑य॒ जीज॑नन् ॥ (२०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अध्वर्यु जनों ने देवताओं का आह्वान कर के अग्नि को देवों के हेतु हव्य वहन के लिए प्रकट किया है. तभी कल्याणमयी मंत्र रूप वाणी तथा सूर्य से संबंध रखने वाली उषा यज्ञ आदि की सिद्धि के लिए प्रकट होती है. (२०)
EN English Translation
The people of Adhwaryu have invoked the gods and revealed the agni to bear the desire for the gods. Only then, Kalyanmayi mantra form appears for the accomplishment of Usha Yagya etc. related to speech and sun. (20)
अध॒ त्यंद्र॒प्सं वि॒भ्वं विचक्ष॒णं विराभ॑रदिषि॒रः श्ये॒नो अ॑ध्व॒रे । यदी॒ विशो॑वृ॒णते॑ द॒स्ममार्या॑ अ॒ग्निं होता॑र॒मध॒ धीर॑जायत ॥ (२१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जब सोम के लाए जाने के बाद यह को पूरा करने वाली अग्नि का वरण किया जाता है, तब सोम और अग्ने के सिद्ध होने पर अग्निष्टोम आदि कर्म भी पूर्ण होते हैं. (२१)
EN English Translation
When the agni that completes it is selected after the bringing of Soma, then the karma of Agnistom etc. is also completed when Soma and Agni are proved. (21)
सदा॑सि र॒ण्वोयव॑सेव॒ पुष्य॑ते॒ होत्रा॑भिरग्ने॒ मनु॑षः स्वध्व॒रः । विप्र॑स्य वा॒ यच्छ॑शमा॒नउ॒क्थ्यो॒ वाजं॑ सस॒वाँ उ॑प॒यासि॒ भूरि॑भिः ॥ (२२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम यज्ञ को सुंदरतापूर्वक पूर्ण करते हो. जिस प्रकार हरी घास आदि को खाने वाला पशु अपने पालने वाले को सुंदर दिखाई देता है, उसी प्रकार घृत आदि से अपनेआप को पुष्ट करने वाले यजमान के लिए तुम दर्शनीय हो जाते हो. (२२)
EN English Translation
O agni! You complete the yajna beautifully. Just as the animal that eats green grass etc. looks beautiful to its rearer, in the same way you become visible to the host who strengthens himself with ghee etc. (22)
उदी॑रय पि॒तरा॑जा॒र आ भग॒मिय॑क्षति हर्य॒तो हृ॒त्त इ॑ष्यति । विव॑क्ति॒ वह्निः॑ स्वप॒स्यते॑म॒खस्त॑वि॒ष्यते॒ असु॑रो॒ वेप॑ते म॒ती ॥ (२३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आकाशरूपी अपने पिता और पृथ्वीरूपी माता को तुम यहां के लिए प्रेरित करो. जिस प्रकार सूर्य अपने प्रकाश को प्रेरित करते हैं, उसी प्रकार तुम अपने तेज को प्रेरित करो. यह यजमान जिन देवताओं की कामना करता है, अग्नि स्वयं उस की कामना करते हैं. वे इच्छित पदार्थ देने की बात कहते हैं और यज्ञ के हेतु यजमान के समीप आते हैं. (२३)
EN English Translation
O agni! Inspire your father in the sky and mother of the earth to come here. Just as the sun inspires your light, so do you inspire your brightness. Agni himself wishes for the gods whom this host wishes. They talk about giving the desired substance and come close to the host for the yajna. (23)
यस्ते॑ अग्नेसुम॒तिं मर्तो॒ अख्य॒त्सह॑सः सूनो॒ अति॒ स प्र शृ॑ण्वे । इषं॒ दधा॑नो॒ वह॑मानो॒अश्वै॒रा स द्यु॒माँ अम॑वान्भूषति॒ द्यून् ॥ (२४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! जो यजमान तुम्हारी कृपा का दूसरों के सामने वर्णन करता है, वह तुम्हारी कृपा के कारण सभी जगह प्रसिद्ध होता है. वह अन्न, अश्व आदि से युक्त होता हुआ चिरकाल तक ऐश्वर्य से प्रतिष्ठित रहता है. (२४)
EN English Translation
O agni! The host who describes your grace in front of others is famous everywhere because of your grace. He is endowed with food, horse, etc., and remains revered by opulence for a long time. (24)
श्रु॒धी नो॑अग्ने॒ सद॑ने स॒धस्थे॑ यु॒क्ष्वा रथ॑म॒मृत॑स्य द्रवि॒त्नुम् । आ नो॑ वह॒ रोद॑सीदे॒वपु॑त्रे॒ माकि॑र्दे॒वाना॒मप॑ भूरि॒ह स्याः॑ ॥ (२५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम इस देव स्थान अर्थात् यज्ञशाला में हमारा आह्वान सुनो. तुम अपने जल बरसाने वाले रथ को लाने लिए प्रस्तुत करो. जो आकाश और पृथ्वी देवताओं के पलक के समान है, उन्हें भी अपने साथ लाओ. ऐसा कोई भी देवता शेष न रहे जो यहां न आया हो. (२५)
EN English Translation
O agni! You listen to our call in this place of God i.e. Yagyashala. Submit you to bring your water-showering chariot. Bring them with you, which is like the eyelid of the heavens and earth gods. There should not be any god left who has not come here. (25)
यद॑ग्न ए॒षासमि॑ति॒र्भवा॑ति दे॒वी दे॒वेषु॑ यज॒ता य॑जत्र । रत्ना॑ च॒ यद्वि॒भजा॑सि स्वधावोभा॒गं नो॒ अत्र॒ वसु॑मन्तं वीतात् ॥ (२६)

हे अग्नि! तुम पूजा करने योग्य हो. जब देवताओं में स्रोतों और हवियों की संगति हो, तब तुम स्तुति करने वालों के लिए रत्न दाता बनो तथा उन्हें बहुत धन प्रदान करो. (२६)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are worthy of worship. When there is the company of sources and goddesses among the gods, then be the jewel giver to those who praise and give them a lot of money. (26)
अन्व॒ग्निरु॒षसा॒मग्र॑मख्य॒दन्वहा॑नि प्रथ॒मो जा॒तवे॑दाः । अनु॒ सूर्य॑ उ॒षसो॒अनु॑ र॒श्मीननु॒ द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी आ वि॑वेश ॥ (२७)

अग्नि उषा काल के साथ ही प्रकाशित होते हैं. ये दिनों के साथ भी प्रकाशित होते हैं. ये ही अग्नि सूर्य बन कर उषा की ओर अपनी किरणें प्रकाशित करते हैं. ये ही सूर्यात्मक अग्नि आकाश और पृथ्वी को सब ओर से प्रकाशित रखते हैं. (२७)
EN English Translation
Agni Usha is published only with the period. These are also published over days. These agnis become the sun and light their rays towards Usha. These solar agnis keep the sky and earth illuminated from all sides. (27)
प्रत्य॒ग्निरु॒षसा॒मग्र॑मख्य॒त्प्रत्यहा॑नि प्रथ॒मो जा॒तवे॑दाः । प्रति॒सूर्य॑स्य पुरु॒धा च॑ र॒श्मीन्प्रति॒ द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी आ त॑तान ॥ (२८)

ये अग्नि उषाकाल में नित्य प्रकाशित होते तथा दिन के समय भी प्रकाश वाले रहते हैं. ये ही सूर्यात्मक अग्नि अनेक प्रकार से प्रकट होने वाली किरणों में भी प्रकाश भरते हैं. ये आकाश और पृथ्वी दोनों को प्रकाश से भर देते हैं. (२८)
EN English Translation
These agnis are illuminated regularly during the dawn and are light even during the day. These solar agnis also fill light in the rays that appear in many ways. They fill both the sky and the earth with light. (28)
द्यावा॑ ह॒क्षामा॑ प्रथ॒मे ऋ॒तेना॑भिश्रा॒वे भ॑वतः सत्य॒वाचा॑ । दे॒वो यन्मर्ता॑न्य॒जथा॑यकृ॒ण्वन्त्सीद॒द्धोता॑ प्र॒त्यङ् स्वमसुं॒ यन् ॥ (२९)

आकाश और पृथ्वी मुख तथा सत्य वाणी हैं. जब अग्नि देव यजमान के समीप आ कर यज्ञ संपन्न करने के लिए बैठे, तब ये आकाश और पृथ्वी स्तुति सुनने के योग्य हैं. (२९)
EN English Translation
The sky and the earth are the mouths and the voice of truth. When agni dev comes near the host and sits to complete the yajna, then these heavens and earth are worthy of hearing praise. (29)
दे॒वोदे॒वान्प॑रि॒भूरृ॒तेन॒ वहा॑ नो ह॒व्यं प्र॑थ॒मश्चि॑कि॒त्वान् । धू॒मके॑तुःस॒मिधा भाऋजीको म॒न्द्रो होता॒ नित्यो॑ वा॒चा यजी॑यान् ॥ (३०)

हे अग्नि! तुम प्रचंड ज्वालाओं से संपन्न हो. तुम पूज्य देवताओं को यज्ञ के द्वारा अपने वश में करते हुए तथा उन के पूजन की इच्छा करते हुए उन के पास हवि को पहुंचाओ. तुम धूम रूप ध्वजा वाले, समिधाओं से दीप्त होने वाले, देव वाहक तथा पूजा के पात्र हो. तुम हमारी हवि को देवों के समीप पहुंचाओ. (३०)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are endowed with fierce flames. You bring the revered deities to them by subduing them through yajna and wishing to worship them. You are the one who is pompous, the one who is illuminated with samidhas, the bearer of God and the worthy of worship. You bring our havi closer to the gods. (30)
