उ॒षा अप॒ स्वसु॒स्तमः॒ सं व॑र्तयति वर्त॒निं सु॑जा॒तता॑ । अ॒या वाजं॑ दे॒वहि॑तं सनेम॒ मदे॑म श॒तहि॑माः सु॒वीराः॑ ॥ (१)

उषा आते ही अपनी बहन रात्रि के अंधकार को दूर कर देती है. इस के पश्चात उषा लौकिक और वैदिक मार्ग को पूर्ण रूप से खोलती है. इस उषा के द्वारा हम देवों द्वारा भली प्रकार दिए हुए एवं हितकारी अन्न को प्राप्त करें. कर्म करने में कुशल पुत्र एवं पौत्र वाले हम सौ वर्षो तक प्रसन्न हों. (१)
EN English Translation
As soon as Usha arrives, her sister removes the darkness of the night. After this, Usha opens the cosmic and Vedic path completely. Through this usha, we should get the food given and beneficial by the gods. May we be happy for a hundred years with a good son and grandson in doing karma. (1)
