इन्द्र॑स्य बा॒हू स्थवि॑रौ॒ वृषा॑णौ चि॒त्रा इ॒मा वृ॑ष॒भौ पा॑रयि॒ष्णू । तौ यो॑क्षे प्रथ॒मो योग॒ आग॑ते॒ याभ्यां॑ जि॒तमसु॑राणां॒ स्वर्यत् ॥ (१)

इंद्र की भुजाएं देवों से वैर करने वाले राक्षसों पर विजय प्राप्त करने वाली, स्थूल तथा अभिमत फल देने वाली हैं. मैं अपने कल्याण के लिए इन भुजाओं का पूजन करता हूं. ये भुजाएं सब के द्वारा प्रशंसनीय, सांड़ों के समान सबल तथा शत्रुओं का हनन करने में समर्थ हैं. परम ऐश्वर्य संपन्न इंद्र की दोनों भुजाएं सभी उपासकों के लिए पूर्व निश्चित है. मैं अप्राप्त की प्राप्ति अर्थात् योग और प्राप्त के रक्षण अर्थात् क्षेम के लिए इन की पूजा करता हूं. इन भुजाओं ने स्वर्ग के निवासी देवों को बाधा पहुंचाने वाली सेना को पराजित किया है. EN English Translation
Indra's arms are conquering the demons who hate the gods, giving gross and expressed results. I worship these arms for my welfare. These arms are admirable by all, strong like bulls and capable of violating enemies. Both the arms of Indra, who are endowed with supreme opulence, are pre-decided for all worshipers. I worship them for the attainment of the uninitiated i.e. yoga and the protection of the attainment i.e. for the creation. These arms have defeated the army that obstructed the gods living in heaven. (1)
आ॒शुः शिशा॑नो वृष॒भो न भी॒मो घ॑नाघ॒नः क्षोभ॑णश्चर्षनीनाम् । सं॒क्रन्द॑नोऽनिमि॒ष ए॑कवी॒रः श॒तं सेना॑ अजयत्सा॒कमिन्द्रः॑ ॥ (२)

शीघ्रकारी, अपनी इच्छा पूरी करने में संलग्न, सांड़ के समान भयंकर, शत्रुओं के हंता, मनुष्यों को क्षुब्ध करने वाले, युद्ध में शत्रुओं का आह्वान करने वाले, आंखें न झपकाने वाले, बिना किसी सहायक के कार्य पूर्ण करने वाले एवं वीर इंद्र ने शत्रुओं की सौ सेनाओं को एक साथ जीत लिया था. (२)
EN English Translation
Quick, engaged in fulfilling his desire, fierce like a bull, the enemy's enemies, the annoyed humans, the call to the enemies in war, the one who did not blink, the one who completed the task without any helper, and the heroic Indra had conquered a hundred armies of enemies together. (2)
सं॒क्रन्द॑नेनानिमि॒षेण॑ जि॒ष्णुना॑ऽयो॒ध्येन॑ दुश्च्यव॒नेन॑ धृ॒ष्णुना॑ । तदिन्द्रे॑ण जयत॒ तत्स॑हध्वं॒ युधो॑ नर॒ इषु॑हस्तेन॒ वृष्णा॑ ॥ (३)

युद्ध में शन्रुओं को रुलाने वाले, निमिषहीन नयनों वाले, जयशील, युद्ध में प्रहार करने वाले, दुःख से विचल करने योग्य, शत्रु का वार सहन करने वाले, धनुर्धारी तथा मनचाही वर्षा करने वाले इंद्र की सहायता से हमें विजय प्राप्त हो. हे योद्धाओ! उन्हीं इंद्र की सहायता शत्रु को पराजित करे. (३)
EN English Translation
We should get victory with the help of Indra, who makes the saints cry in the war, with blinking eyes, jaisheel, who strikes in war, is able to avoid sorrow, who tolerates the attack of the enemy, archer and showers the desired rain. O warriors! Help the same Indra defeat the enemy. (3)
स इषु॑हस्तैः॒ स नि॑ष॒ङ्गिभि॑र्व॒शी संस्र॑ष्टा॒ स युध॒ इन्द्रो॑ ग॒णेन॑ । सं॑सृष्ट॒जित्सो॑म॒पा बा॑हुश॒र्ध्युग्रध॑न्वा॒ प्रति॑हिताभि॒रस्ता॑ ॥ (४)

खड्ग धारण करने वाले एवं बाण धारण करने वाले इंद्र अपने वीर अनुचरों को शत्रुओं के सामने भेजते हैं. इंद्र युद्ध की इच्छा से आने वाले शत्रुओं पर इसी प्रकार विजय प्राप्त करते हैं. सोमपान करने वाले इंद्र शत्रुओं के समूहों को जीतने वाले, बाहुबल से युक्त, भयंकर धनुष वाले एवं दूसरों के शरीरों पर मारे गए बाणों से उन के संहारक हैं. हे वीरो! तुम इस प्रकार के इंद्र की सहायता से जय प्राप्त करो. (४)
EN English Translation
Indra, who wears a khadga and wears an arrow, sends his brave followers in front of the enemies. Indra wins in this way over the enemies who come with the desire for war. Indra, who drinks soma, is the conqueror of groups of enemies, with muscle power, with fierce bows and destroyers of others with arrows killed on their bodies. O Hero! You get victory with the help of this type of Indra. (4)
ब॑लविज्ञा॒यः स्थवि॑रः॒ प्रवी॑रः॒ सह॑स्वान्वा॒जी सह॑मान उ॒ग्रः । अ॒भिवी॑रो अ॒भिष॑त्वा सहो॒जिज्जैत्र॑मिन्द्र॒ रथ॒मा ति॑ष्ठ गो॒विद॑म् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
शत्रुओं के बल को जानने वाले, पुरातन, उग्र, बलवान वीरों के स्वामी, पराजित करने की शक्ति वाले, वेगवान, शत्रुओं को अपमानित करने वाले, शत्रुओं की सेना के विजेता एवं दूसरों की गायों को अपनी जानने वाले हे इंद्र! तुम हमारी सहायता के लिए अपने जयशील रथ पर बैठने योग्य हो. (५)
EN English Translation
Swami of the brave, ancient, fierce, powerful heroes, who has the power to defeat, speedy, humiliates the enemies, the conqueror of the army of enemies and knows the cows of others, O Indra! You are able to sit on your jaysheel rath to help us. (5)
इ॒मं वी॒रमनु॑ हर्षध्वमु॒ग्रमिन्द्रं॑ सखायो॒ अनु॒ सं र॑भध्वम् । ग्रा॑म॒जितं॑ गो॒जितं॒ वज्र॑बाहुं॒ जय॑न्त॒मज्म॑ प्रमृ॒णन्त॒मोज॑सा ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे समान बुद्धि और कर्म वाले योद्धाओ! तुम सब इस शत्रु को पराजित करने में समर्थ, वीर एवं उग्र इंद्र को आगे कर के उत्साह वाले बनो. शत्रु के विनाश के लिए उद्योगशील इंद्र के साथ तुम भी उद्योग करो. इंद्र शत्रुओं के समूह के विजेता, शत्रुओं की गायों के विजेता एवं हाथ में वज्र धारण करने वाले हैं. इद्र शत्रुओं पर विजय प्राप्त करने वाले एवं अपनी शक्ति से शत्रुओं की सेनाओं का विनाश करने वाले हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
O warriors with the same intellect and deeds! All of you capable of defeating this enemy, be courageous by putting forward the brave and fierce Indra. You also do industry with the industrious Indra for the destruction of the enemy. Indra is the conqueror of the group of enemies, the conqueror of the cows of the enemies and the one who holds the thunderbolt in his hand. Idra is the one who conquers the enemies and destroys the armies of the enemies with his power. (6)
अ॒भि गो॒त्राणि॒ सह॑सा॒ गाह॑मानोऽदा॒य उ॒ग्रः श॒तम॑न्यु॒रिन्द्रः॑ । दु॑श्च्यव॒नः पृ॑तना॒षाड॑यो॒ध्यो॒ऽस्माकं॒ सेना॑ अवतु॒ प्र यु॒त्सु ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र युद्ध क्षेत्र में अपनी शक्ति से शन्रु सेना के सामने से प्रवेश करने वाले, दयाहीन, क्रोध करने वाले एवं प्रचंड पराक्रमी हैं. ये शत्रुओं की सेना को वश में कर लेते हैं. कोई भी इन्हें युद्ध क्षेत्र से भगाने में समर्थ नहीं है. ये शत्रु सेनाओं को पराजित करने वाले हैं. इन से युद्ध करने में कोई भी समर्थ नहीं है. इस प्रकार के इंद्र युद्धों में हमारी सेना की रक्षा करें. (७)
EN English Translation
Indra is a man of mercy, anger and a great power to enter the battlefield from the front of the Army of Shanru. They control the army of enemies. No one is able to drive them out of the war zone. They are going to defeat the enemy armies. No one is capable of fighting them. Protect our army in these types of Indra wars. (7)
बृह॑स्पते॒ परि॑ दीया॒ रथे॑न रक्षो॒हामित्राँ॑ अप॒बाध॑मानः । प्र॑भ॒ञ्जञ्छत्रू॑न्प्रमृ॒णन्न॒मित्रा॑न॒स्माक॑मेध्यवि॒ता त॒नूना॑म् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे देवों का पालन करने वाले बृहस्पति! तुम रथ में बैठ कर युद्ध में सभी ओर गमन करो. तुम राक्षसों का वध करने वाले एवं शत्रुओं को बाधा पहुंचाने वाले हो. तुम शत्रुओं को सभी ओर से नष्ट करते हुए एवं उन की हिंसा करते हुए हमारे शरीरों के रक्षक बनो. (८)
EN English Translation
O Jupiter who follows the gods! You sit in the chariot and go all the way in the war. You are the one who kills demons and hinders enemies. Be the protectors of our bodies by destroying enemies from all sides and committing violence against them. (8)
इन्द्र॑ एषां ने॒ता बृह॒स्पति॒र्दक्षि॑णा य॒ज्ञः पु॒र ए॑तु॒ सोमः॑ । दे॑वसे॒नाना॑मभिभञ्जती॒नां जय॑न्तीनां म॒रुतो॑ यन्तु॒ मध्ये॑ ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हमारे शत्रुओं को सामने से नष्ट करने के लिए विजय प्राप्त करने वाली देव सेनाओं के इंद्र नेता हैं. बृहस्पति इन देव सेनाओं की दक्षिण दिशा में चलें. यज्ञ और सोम इन के आगे चलें तथा मरुद्गण इन सेनाओं के मध्य भाग में गमन करें. (९)
EN English Translation
Indra is the leader of the Deva armies that conquered to destroy our enemies from the front. Jupiter should move in the south direction of these god armies. Yajna and Soma should go ahead of them and the Deserts should go to the middle part of these armies. (9)
इन्द्र॑स्य॒ वृष्णो॒ वरु॑णस्य॒ राज्ञ॑ आदि॒त्यानां॑ म॒रुतां॒ शर्ध॑ उ॒ग्रम् । म॒हाम॑नसां भुवनच्य॒वानां॒ घोषो॑ दे॒वानां॒ जय॑ता॒मुद॑स्थात् ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
कामनाओं को पूर्ण करने वाले अथवा निरंतर शस्त्रों की वर्षा करने वाले इंद्र, शत्रुओं को युद्ध भूमि से भगाने वाले वरुण, मरुद्गण तथा आदित्य शत्रुओं को वश में करने वाली शक्ति सहित प्रकट हों. आदित्य शत्रुओं को इस लोक से भी दूर भगाने में समर्थ हैं. वे शत्रुओं पर विजय प्राप्त करें. सभी देवों की जयध्वनि उठे. (१०)
EN English Translation
Indra, who fulfills desires or constantly showers weapons, Varuna, Marudgana and Aditya, who drives enemies out of the battlefield, should appear with the power to control enemies. Aditya is able to drive away enemies from this world too. May they conquer enemies. The chants of all the gods rose. (10)
अ॒स्माक॒मिन्द्रः॒ समृ॑तेषु ध्व॒जेष्व॒स्माकं॒ या इष॑व॒स्ता ज॑यन्तु । अ॒स्माकं॑ वी॒रा उत्त॑रे भवन्त्व॒स्मान्दे॑वासोऽवता॒ हवे॑षु ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ध्वजाओं वाले संग्रामों के प्राप्त होने पर इंद्र हमारे रक्षक हों. हमारे बाण शत्रुओं पर विजय प्राप्त करें. हमारे वीर उत्तर दिशा में अथवा उत्तम स्थिति में हों. हे देवो! आप सब भी संग्रामों में हमारी रक्षा करो. (११)
EN English Translation
May Indra be our protector when the battles with flags are received. Conquer our arrow enemies. Our heroes should be in the north direction or in a good position. O God! All of you also protect us in battles. (11)
