शा॒न्ता द्यौः शा॒न्ता पृ॑थि॒वी शा॒न्तमि॒दमु॒र्वन्तरि॑क्षम् । शा॒न्ता उ॑द॒न्वती॒रापः॑ शा॒न्ता नः॑ स॒न्त्वोष॑धीः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अपने कारण से उत्पन्न दोषों को शांत करता हुआ द्युलोक हमें सुख प्रदान करे. विशाल अंतरिक्ष और पृथ्वी हमें सुख प्रदान करें. सागरों के जल तथा ओषधियां हमें सुख देने वाले हों. (१)
EN English Translation
May Dulok give us happiness by calming the defects caused by our cause. May the vast space and earth give us happiness. May the waters and medicines of the oceans give us happiness. (1)
शा॒न्तानि॑ पूर्वरू॒पाणि॑ शा॒न्तं नो॑ अस्तु कृताकृ॒तम् । शा॒न्तं भू॒तं च॒ भव्यं॑ च॒ सर्व॑मे॒व शम॑स्तु नः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
कार्य से पहले होने वाले कारण मेरे लिए शांत हों. मेरे द्वारा किए गए और न किए गए दुष्कर्म मुझे शांति प्रदान करने वाले हों. भूतकाल के कार्य और भविष्यत् काल के कार्य मेरे लिए शांतिप्रद हों. भूत, भविष्यत् और वर्तमान कालों से संबंधित सभी कार्य मेरे लिए शांति देने वाले हों. (२)
EN English Translation
Cause me to be calm before work. May the misdeeds committed and not committed by me bring me peace. May the work of the past and the work of the future be peaceful for me. May all the work related to the past, the future and the present tenses bring peace to me. (2)
इ॒यं या प॑रमे॒ष्ठिनी॒ वाग्दे॒वी ब्रह्म॑संशिता । ययै॒व स॑सृ॒जे घो॒रं तयै॒व शान्ति॑रस्तु नः ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
उत्तम स्थान में रहने वाली अथवा ब्रह्मा की पत्नी, मंत्रों के द्वारा भलीभांति उत्तेजित एवं विद्वानों के द्वारा स्वयं अनुभव की गई जो वाग्देवी अथवा सरस्वती हैं, ये शाप देने आदि में भी उच्चारण की जाती हैं-ये हमारे लिए शांति देने वाली हों. (३)
EN English Translation
The wife of Brahma, who lives in the best place or is well aroused by mantras and experienced by scholars themselves, who are Vagdevi or Saraswati, they are also pronounced in cursing etc. - they should give peace to us. (3)
इ॒दं यत्प॑रमे॒ष्ठिनं॒ मनो॑ वां॒ ब्रह्म॑संशितम् । येनै॒व स॑सृ॒जे घो॒रं तेनै॒व शान्ति॑रस्तु नः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
परमेष्ठी ने सृष्टि के आदि में मन की रचना की, जो संसार का मूल कारण है. ऐसा ब्रह्म ने कहा है. जिस मन के द्वारा कर्म किया जाता है, उसी मन के द्वारा हमें शांति प्राप्त हो. (४)
EN English Translation
Parameshti created the mind in the beginning of creation, which is the root cause of the world. This is what Brahma has said. May we attain peace through the mind through which karma is done. (4)
इ॒मानि॒ यानि॒ पञ्चे॑न्द्रि॒याणि॒ मनः॑षष्ठानि मे हृ॒दि ब्रह्म॑णा॒ संशि॑तानि । यैरे॒व स॑सृ॒जे घो॒रं तैरे॒व शान्ति॑रस्तु नः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो पांच ज्ञानेंद्रियां, (आंख, कान, नाक, जिह्वा और त्वचा) हैं, इन के अतिरिक्त मन छठी ज्ञानेंद्रिय है. ये मेरे हृदय में स्थित हैं और चेतन आत्मा इन पर नियंत्रण करता है. इन्हीं के द्वारा घोर कर्म किया जाता है. इन्हीं के द्वारा हमें शांति प्राप्त हो. (५)
EN English Translation
Apart from the five senses (eyes, ears, nose, tongue and skin), the mind is the sixth sense. They are located in my heart and the conscious soul controls them. Gross work is done by them. Through these, we get peace. (5)
शं नो॑ मि॒त्रः शं वरु॑णः॒ शं विष्णुः॒ शं प्र॒जाप॑तिः । शं न॒ इन्द्रो॒ बृह॒स्पतिः॒ शं नो॑ भवत्वर्य॒मा ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मित्र अर्थात् सूर्य, वरुण, विष्णु, प्रजापति, इंद्र, बृहस्पति और अर्यमा हमें शांति प्रदान करने वाले हों. (६)
EN English Translation
Friends i.e. Sun, Varuna, Vishnu, Prajapati, Indra, Jupiter and Aryama are going to give us peace. (6)
शं नो॑ मि॒त्रः शं वरु॑णः॒ शं वि॒वस्वा॒ञ्छमन्त॑कः । उ॒त्पाताः॒ पार्थि॑वा॒न्तरि॑क्षाः॒ शं नो॑ दि॒विच॑रा॒ ग्रहाः॑ ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मित्र, वरुण, सूर्य तथा अंतक हमें शांति प्रदान करें. पृथ्वी और अंतरिक्ष में होने वाले उत्पात एवं द्युलोक में संचरण करने वाले गृह हमें शांति प्रदान करें. (७)
EN English Translation
Friends, Varuna, Surya and Antak give us peace. May the planets that cause havoc on earth and space and the planets that transmit in the world give us peace. (7)
शं नो॒ भूमि॑र्वेप्यमा॒ना शमु॒ल्का निर्ह॑तं च॒ यत् । शं गावो॒ लोहि॑तक्षीराः॒ शं भूमि॒रव॑ तीर्य॒तीः ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
प्राणियों का संहार करने वाले काल के कारण कांपती हुई पृथ्वी हमारे कंपन रूपी दोष को दूर करने वाली बने. ज्वाला के रूप में गिरने वाली उल्काओं के स्थान हमें शांति प्रदान करें. दूध के स्थान पर रक्त देने वाली गाएं तथा फटती हुई धरती हमें शांति प्रदान करे. (८)
EN English Translation
Due to the time that kills animals, the trembling earth became the remover of our vibrational defects. May the location of meteors falling as flames give us peace. In place of milk, let the cows giving blood and the exploding earth give us peace. (8)
नक्ष॑त्रमु॒ल्काभिह॑तं॒ शम॑स्तु नः॒ शं नो॑ऽभिचा॒राः शमु॑ सन्तु कृ॒त्याः । शं नो॒ निखा॑ता व॒ल्गाः शमु॒ल्का दे॑शोपस॒र्गाः शमु॑ नो भवन्तु ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
आकाश से गिरती हुई उल्काओं से अपने स्थान से पतित होने वाले नक्षत्र हमें शांति प्रदान करें. शत्रुओं द्वारा हमें मारने के निमित्त किए गए अभिचार कर्म (जादूटोने, टोटके) तथा पिशाचियां हमारे उपद्रवों को शांत करने वाली हों. भूमि खोद कर तथा हड्डी, केश आदि लपेट कर बनाई गई विष पुत्तलिकाएं हमें शांति देने वाली हों. आकाश से गिरने वाली उल्काएं देखने से जो अनिष्ट होता है, उसे उल्काएं ही शांत करें. राष्ट्र में होने वाले विघ्न भी शांत हों. (९)
EN English Translation
May the constellations falling from their place by the meteors falling from the sky give us peace. The acts (witchcraft, tricks) and vampires done by the enemies to kill us should calm our troubles. The poison puttillaries made by digging the ground and wrapping bone, hair etc. should give us peace. The meteors should calm the evil of seeing the meteors falling from the sky. The obstacles in the nation should also be calmed down. (9)
शं नो॒ ग्रहा॑श्चान्द्रम॒साः शमा॑दि॒त्यश्च॑ राहु॒णा । शं नो॑ मृ॒त्युर्धू॒मके॑तुः॒ शं रु॒द्रास्ति॒ग्मते॑जसः ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
चंद्र मंडल भेदक मंगल आदि ग्रह हमें शांति प्रदान करें. राहु के द्वारा ग्रसित सूर्य हमारी शक्ति का निमित्त बने. मारक धूमकेतु हमें शांति देने वाला हो. तीक्ष्ण तेज वाले रुद्र हमें शांति देने वाले हों. (१०)
EN English Translation
May the moon system penetrating Mars etc. give us peace. The Sun affected by Rahu should become the instrument of our power. The antidote comet is going to give us peace. May Rudra with sharp sharpness give us peace. (10)
शं रु॒द्राः शं वस॑वः॒ शमा॑दि॒त्याः शम॒ग्नयः॑ । शं नो॑ मह॒र्षयो॑ दे॒वाः शं दे॒वाः शं बृह॒स्पतिः॑ ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
रुद्र, वायु, आदित्य और अग्नि देव हमारे लिए शांति के कारण बनें. अतिमान तेज वाले सात महर्षि, इंद्र आदि देव और देवों के पुरोहित बृहस्पति हमारी शांति के कारण बनें. (११)
EN English Translation
May Rudra, Vayu, Aditya and Agni Dev be the cause of peace for us. May the seven Maharishis with superhuman radiance, Indra etc. Dev and Jupiter, the priest of the gods, be the reason for our peace. (11)
ब्रह्म॑ प्र॒जाप॑तिर्धा॒ता लो॒का वेदाः॑ सप्तऋ॒षयो॒ऽग्नयः॑ । तैर्मे॑ कृ॒तं स्व॒स्त्यय॑न॒मिन्द्रो॑ मे॒ शर्म॑ यच्छतु ब्र॒ह्मा मे॒ शर्म॑ यच्छतु । विश्वे॑ मे दे॒वाः शर्म॑ यच्छन्तु॒ सर्वे॑ मे दे॒वाः शर्म॑ यच्छन्तु ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सच्चिदानंद लक्षण वाला ब्रह्म, प्रजापति, चार मुखों वाले ब्रह्मा, सात लोक, अंगों सहित चार वेद, सात ऋषि तथा तीन अग्नियां मुझे शांति देने वाली हों. इन सब ने मुझे स्वस्त्य यमन अर्थात् शांति प्रदान की है. इंद्र और ब्रह्मा मुझे सुख प्रदान करें. विश्वे देव मुझे सुख प्रदान करें तथा विश्वे देव मुझे सुख प्रदान करें. (१२)
EN English Translation
Brahm, Prajapati with sachchidananda symptoms, Brahma with four faces, seven worlds, four Vedas with organs, seven sages and three agnis should give me peace. All this has given me swastya Yemen i.e. peace. May Indra and Brahma give me happiness. May Vishwe Dev give me happiness and May Vishwe Dev give me happiness. (12)
यानि॒ कानि॑ चिच्छा॒न्तानि॑ लो॒के स॑प्तऋ॒षयो॑ वि॒दुः । सर्वा॑णि॒ शं भ॑वन्तु मे॒ शं मे॑ अ॒स्त्वभ॑यं मे अस्तु ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सप्त ऋषि लोक में जिन शक्तियों को जानते थे, वे सब मुझे सुख देने वाली हों, मुझे सुख प्राप्त हो तथा मुझे सभी से अभय मिले. (१३)
EN English Translation
May all the powers that saptrishi know in the world give me happiness, may I get happiness and may I get protection from all. (13)
पृ॑थि॒वी शान्ति॑र॒न्तरि॑क्षं॒ शान्ति॒र्द्यौः शान्ति॒रापः॒ शान्ति॒रोष॑धयः॒ शान्ति॒र्वन॒स्पत॑यः॒ शान्ति॒र्विश्वे॑ मे दे॒वाः शान्तिः॒ सर्वे॑ मे देवाः॒ शान्तिः॒ शान्तिः॒ शान्तिः॒ शान्ति॑भिः । ताभिः॒ शान्ति॑भिः॒ सर्व॒ शान्ति॑भिः॒ शम॑यामो॒ऽहं यदि॒ह घो॒रं यदि॒ह क्रू॒रं यदि॒ह पा॒पं तच्छा॒न्तं तच्छि॒वं सर्व॑मे॒व शम॑स्तु नः ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पृथ्वी, अंतरिक्ष, द्युलोक, जल, ओषधियां, वनस्पतियां तथा सभी देव हमारी अपेक्षा अधिक शक्ति प्राप्त करें. सभी प्रकार की इस शांति प्रक्रिया में यहां जो भयानक और निर्दय फल है, उसे हम दूर करते हैं. ये सभी शांत बन कर हमें कल्याण प्रदान करें. (१४)
EN English Translation
May earth, space, deuts, water, medicines, vegetation and all gods get more power than us. We remove the terrible and merciless fruit that is here in this peace process of all kinds. May all of them become calm and give us welfare. (14)
