द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी उ॒र्व॑१न्तरि॑क्षं॒ क्षेत्र॑स्य॒ पत्न्यु॑रुगा॒योऽद्भु॑तः । उ॑ता॒न्तरि॑क्षमु॒रु वात॑गोपं॒ त इ॒ह त॑प्यन्तां॒ मयि॑ त॒प्यमा॑ने ॥ (१)

द्यावा और पृथ्वी के मध्य विस्तृत अंतरिक्ष विद्यमान है. इन तीनों लोकों के अधिपति देव क्रमशः अग्नि, वायु और सूर्य हैं. ये अद्भुत एवं महापुरुषों द्वारा प्रशंसित विष्णु, ब्रह्मांड में व्याप्त, आकाश, लोक एवं लोकाधिपति हैं. मुझ अभिचारकर्ता के दीक्षा नियमों के कारण संतप्त होने पर संतप्त हों. तात्पर्य यह है कि जिस प्रकार मैं अपने शत्रु के विनाश हेतु तत्पर हूं, उसी प्रकार ये देव भी उस के हिंसक बनें. (१)
EN English Translation
There is wide space between the earth and the earth. The ruling deities of these three worlds are agni, air and sun respectively. The meaning is that just as I am ready to destroy my enemy, so should these gods also become violent with him. (1)
इ॒दं दे॑वाः शृणुत॒ ये य॒ज्ञिया॒ स्थ भ॒रद्वा॑जो॒ मह्य॑मु॒क्थानि॑ शंसति । पाशे॒ स ब॒द्धो दु॑रि॒ते नि यु॑ज्यतां॒ यो अ॒स्माकं॒ मन॑ इ॒दं हि॒नस्ति॑ ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे देवो! मेरा यह वचन सुनो, तुम सब यज्ञ के योग्य हो. भरद्वाज मुनि मेरी अभिलाषा पूर्ति के लिए शास्त्रपाठ कर रहे हैं. जो शत्रु मेरे सन्मार्गगामी मन को कष्ट पहुंचाता है, वह मेरे द्वारा किए गए जादूटोने के पाप में बंध कर मृत्यु रूपी दुर्गति को प्राप्त हो. (२)
EN English Translation
O God! Listen to this word of mine, you are all worthy of sacrifice. Bhardwaj Muni is reciting scriptures to fulfill my desire. The enemy who hurts my contralateral mind, he should be bound by the sin of witchcraft committed by me and attain the evil of death. (2)
इ॒दमि॑न्द्र शृणुहि सोमप॒ यत्त्वा॑ हृ॒दा शोच॑ता॒ जोह॑वीमि । वृ॒श्चामि॒ तं कुलि॑शेनेव वृ॒क्षं यो अ॒स्माकं॒ मन॑ इ॒दं हि॒नस्ति॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोमरस के पीने से संतुष्ट मन वाले इंद्र, मेरे द्वारा कहे गए वाक्य को सुनो. मैं शत्रुओं के द्वारा किए गए अपकारों से दुःखी मन के द्वारा तुम्हें बारबार बुला रहा हूं. जो मेरे मन को इस प्रकार दुःखी कर रहे हैं, मैं उन शत्रुओं को उसी प्रकार काटता हूं, जिस प्रकार कुल्हाड़ी वृक्ष को काटती है. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra with a mind satisfied with the drinking of Someras, listen to the sentence I have said. I am calling you again and again with a sad heart from the misdeeds committed by the enemies. Those who are grieving my mind in this way, I cut those enemies in the same way as the axe cuts the tree. (3)
अ॑शी॒तिभि॑स्ति॒सृभिः॑ साम॒गेभि॑रादि॒त्येभि॒र्वसु॑भि॒रङ्गि॑रोभिः । इ॑ष्टापू॒र्तम॑वतु नः पितॄ॒णामामुं द॑दे॒ हर॑सा॒ दैव्ये॑न ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
तीन और अस्सी अर्थात् तिरासी सभा गायन कर्ताओं के, बारह आदमियों के, आठ वसुओं के एवं दीर्घ सत्र का अनुष्ठान करने वाले अंगिरा गोत्रीय ऋषियों के सहयोग से हमारे पूर्वजों ने जो यज्ञ, कुआं एवं बाग से संबंधित उत्तम कर्म किए हैं, वे शत्रुओं से हमारी रक्षा करें. हम अपकार करने वाले शत्रु को जादू टोने रूपी देवता के क्रोध के द्वारा अपने वश में करते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
May the best deeds done by our ancestors related to yajna, well and garden with the help of three and eighty-three assembly singers, twelve men, eight vasus and Angira gotriya sages who perform long sessions should protect us from enemies. We control the enemy who is doing evil through the wrath of the god of witchcraft. (4)
द्यावा॑पृथिवी॒ अनु॒ मा दी॑धीथां॒ विश्वे॑ देवासो॒ अनु॒ मा र॑भध्वम् । अङ्गि॑रसः॒ पित॑रः॒ सोम्या॑सः पा॒पमार्छ॑त्वपका॒मस्य॑ क॒र्ता ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे द्यावा पृथ्वी! तुम शत्रु को जीतने में मेरे अनुकूल बनो. हे समस्त देवो! तुम मेरे शत्रु को पकड़ने के लिए तैयार हो जाओ. हे सोमरस के पात्र अंगिरा गोत्रीय ऋषियो एवं पितरो! तुम ऐसा प्रयत्न करो कि मुझ से द्रोह करने वाले शत्रु मृत्यु को प्राप्त हों. (५)
EN English Translation
Give it to earth! You be compatible with me in conquering the enemy. Oh my god! You get ready to catch my enemy. O saints and fathers of Angira Gotriya, the characters of Somras! Try that the enemies who betray me will die. (5)
अती॑व॒ यो म॑रुतो॒ मन्य॑ते नो॒ ब्रह्म॑ वा॒ यो निन्दि॑षत्क्रि॒यमा॑णम् । तपूं॑षि॒ तस्मै॑ वृजि॒नानि॑ सन्तु ब्रह्म॒द्विषं॒ द्यौर॑भि॒संत॑पाति ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मरुतो! जो शत्रु अपनेआप को हम से अधिक शक्तिशाली मानता है अथवा जो हमारे द्वारा किए जाने वाले मंत्र संबंधी कर्म की निंदा करता है, उस के लिए संतापकारी आयुध बाधक हों. मेरे कर्म से द्वेष करने वाले को द्यौ संताप दे. (६)
EN English Translation
O Maruto! For the enemy who considers himself more powerful than us or who condemns the mantra-related deeds we do, should be an angry armament barrier. Give anger to those who hate my deeds. (6)
स॒प्त प्रा॒णान॒ष्टौ म॒न्यस्तांस्ते॑ वृश्चामि॒ ब्रह्म॑णा । अया॑ य॒मस्य॒ साद॑नम॒ग्निदू॑तो॒ अरं॑कृतः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शत्रु! तेरे सात प्राणों अर्थात् आंख, नाक, कान और मुंह के सात छिद्रों को तथा तेरे कंठ की आठ धमनियों को मैं अपने मंत्र संबंधी अभिचार कर्म के द्वारा काटता हूं. छिन्न अंगों वाला तू यमराज के घर जा. तेरे जलाने के लिए अग्नि दूत के समान आ गई है. इस के बाद तेरे शव को सजाया जाएगा. (७)
EN English Translation
O enemy! I cut off your seven souls, that is, the seven holes of the eyes, nose, ears and mouth, and the eight arteries of your throat through my mantra-related abhichar karma. Go to Yamraj's house with broken limbs. Agni has come like a messenger to burn you. After this, your body will be decorated. (7)
आ द॑धामि ते प॒दं समि॑द्धे जा॒तवे॑दसि । अ॒ग्निः शरी॑रं वेवे॒ष्ट्वसुं॒ वागपि॑ गच्छतु ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शत्रु! मैं जलती हुई अग्नि में तेरे कटे हुए चरणों के साथ तेरे पैरों की धूल फेंकता हूं. अग्नि तेरे शरीर में प्रवेश कर के तेरे सारे अंगों में फैल जाए. तेरी वाणी और प्राण भी समाप्त हो जाएं. (८)
EN English Translation
O enemy! I throw the dust of your feet with your cut feet in the burning agni. Let agni enter your body and spread to all your organs. May your speech and soul also end. (8)
