योगे॑योगे त॒वस्त॑रं॒ वाजे॑वाजे हवामहे । सखा॑य॒ इन्द्र॑मू॒तये॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यज्ञ के अवसर पर अथवा युद्ध प्राप्त होने पर अपने सखा रूप इंद्र का हम आह्वान करते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
On the occasion of yajna or when we get war, we invoke our sakha form Indra. (1)
आ घा॑ गम॒द्यदि॒ श्रव॑त्सह॒स्रिणी॑भिरू॒तिभिः॑ । वाजे॑भि॒रुप॑ नो॒ हव॑म् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र मेरी स्तुतियां और आह्वानों को सुन कर अपने रक्षा साधन और अन्न ले कर यहां आएं. (२)
EN English Translation
Indra, listening to my praises and calls, bring your protective equipment and food here. (2)
अनु॑ प्र॒त्नस्यौक॑सो हु॒वे तु॑विप्र॒तिं नर॑म् । यं ते॒ पूर्वं॑ पि॒ता हु॒वे ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम प्राचीन स्वर्ग के स्वामी तथा असंख्य वीरों के प्रतिनिधि हो. प्राचीन काल में मेरे पिता ने तुम्हारा आह्वान किया था, इसलिए मैं भी तुम्हें बुलाता हूं. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are the master of ancient heaven and the representative of innumerable heroes. In ancient times, my father called you, so I also call you. (3)
यु॒ञ्जन्ति॑ ब्र॒ध्नम॑रु॒षं चर॑न्तं॒ परि॑ त॒स्थुषः॑ । रोच॑न्ते रोच॒ना दि॒वि ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र के विशाल, देदीप्यमान तथा विचरणशील रथ में हरि नाम के अश्च जुड़े रहते हैं. वे अश्व आकाश में दमकते रहते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
In the huge, radiant and moving chariot of Indra, there are tears named Hari. Those horses shine in the sky. (4)
यु॒ञ्जन्त्य॑स्य॒ काम्या॒ हरी॒ विप॑क्षसा॒ रथे॑ । शोणा॑ धृ॒ष्णू नृ॒वाह॑सा ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र के सारथी उन के रथ में घोड़ों को जोड़ते हैं. वे घोड़े रथ के दोनों ओर रहते हैं. वे अश्व कामना करने योग्य एवं इंद्र को वहन करने वाले हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
Indra's charioteers add horses to his chariot. They live on either side of the horse chariot. They are able to wish horses and carry Indra. (5)
के॒तुं कृ॒ण्वन्न॑के॒तवे॒ पेशो॑ मर्या अपे॒शसे॑ । समु॒षद्भि॑रजायथाः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मनुष्यो! अंधकार में छिपे पदार्थो को अपने प्रकाश से आकार देने वाले तथा अज्ञानी को ज्ञान प्रदान करने वाले सूर्य अपनी किरणों के साथ उदय हो गए हैं. तुम इन के दर्शन करो. (६)
EN English Translation
O men! The sun, which shapes the substances hidden in darkness with its light and gives knowledge to the ignorant, has risen with its rays. You see these. (6)
