इन्द्रं॑ वो वि॒श्वत॒स्परि॒ हवा॑महे॒ जने॑भ्यः । अ॒स्माक॑मस्तु॒ केव॑लः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम विश्व के सभी प्राणियों की ओर से इंद्र का आह्वान करते हैं. वे इंद्र हमारे ही हों. (१)
EN English Translation
We invoke Indra on behalf of all beings of the world. Those Indras should be ours. (1)
व्यन्तरि॑क्षमतिर॒न्मदे॒ सोम॑स्य रोच॒ना । इन्द्रो॒ यदभि॑नद्व॒लम् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र ने सोमरस पान कर के प्रसन्न होने पर वर्षा के जल की अंतरिक्ष अर्थात् आकाश से वृष्टि की. उन्होंने अपनी शक्ति से मेघों को विदीर्ण किया. (२)
EN English Translation
When Indra was pleased to drink someras, he rained rain water from space i.e. the sky. (2)
उद्गा आ॑ज॒दङ्गि॑रोभ्य आ॒विष्कृ॒ण्वन्गुहा॑ स॒तीः । अ॒र्वाञ्चं॑ नुनुदे व॒लम् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो गाएं गुफा में बंद थीं, इंद्र ने अंगिरा गोत्र वाले ऋषियों के लिए उन्हें बाहर निकाला. गायों का अपहरण करने वाला बल राक्षस था. इंद्र ने उस का मुंह नीचे कर के उसे गिरा दिया. (३)
EN English Translation
The cows that were locked in the cave, Indra took them out for the sages of the Angira gotra. The force that abducted cows was a monster. Indra lowered his mouth and dropped him. (3)
इन्द्रे॑ण रोच॒ना दि॒वो दृ॒ढानि॑ दृंहि॒तानि॑ च । स्थि॒राणि॒ न प॑रा॒णुदे॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र ने आकाश में प्रकाश करते हुए नक्षत्रों को स्थिर किया है. ये नक्षत्र स्थिर हैं. इन्हें कोई नीचे नहीं गिरा सकता. (४)
EN English Translation
Indra has stabilized the constellations while lighting the sky. These constellations are stable. No one can bring them down. (4)
अ॒पामू॒र्मिर्मद॑न्निव॒ स्तोम॑ इन्द्राजिरायते । वि ते॒ मदा॑ अराजिषुः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम्हारा स्तोत्र रस के साथ उच्चारण किया जाता है. यह स्तोत्र वर्षा के जल से सरिताओं और सागर को प्रसन्न करता है. इस से सोमरस पीने के कारण तुम्हारा हर्ष प्रकट होता है. (५)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Your hymn is pronounced with juice. This stotra pleases the streams and the ocean with rainwater. Due to drinking someras from this, your happiness appears. (5)
