वी॒डु चि॑दारुज॒त्नुभि॒र्गुहा॑ चिदिन्द्र॒ वह्नि॑भिः । अवि॑न्द उ॒स्रिया॒ अनु॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम ने उषा काल के बाद ही अपनी ज्योति वाली शक्तियों के द्वारा गुफा में छिपे धन को प्राप्त किया था. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You received the money hidden in the cave only after the Usha period through your light powers. (1)
दे॑व॒यन्तो॒ यथा॑ म॒तिमच्छा॑ वि॒दद्व॑सुं॒ गिरः॑ । म॒हाम॑नूषत श्रु॒तम् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तुतियो! हम स्तोता देवताओं की इच्छा करते हैं. हम इंद्र के सामने अपनी उत्तम बुद्धि को प्रस्तुत करेंगे. इस प्रकार उन महिमा वाले इंद्र की स्तुति की जाएगी. (२)
EN English Translation
O praise! We desire the psalm gods. We will present our best intellect to Indra. In this way, Indra with those glory will be praised. (2)
इन्द्रे॑ण॒ सं हि दृक्ष॑से संजग्मा॒नो अबि॑भ्युषा । म॒न्दू स॑मा॒नव॑र्चसा ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम सदा ही मरुतों के साथ देखे जाते हो, वे मरुत् भय रहित हैं. तुम्हारा और मरुतों का तेज समान है, इसलिए तुम सदा मरुतों के साथ देखे जाते हो. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are always seen with the deserts, they are without desert fear. Yours and the glory of the Maruts are the same, so you are always seen with the Maruts. (3)
अ॑नव॒द्यैर॒भिद्यु॑भिर्म॒खः सह॑स्वदर्चति । ग॒णैरिन्द्र॑स्य॒ काम्यैः॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र की कामना करने वालों से यज्ञ की शोभा बढ़ती है. (४)
EN English Translation
Those who wish for Indra enhance the beauty of the yajna. (4)
अतः॑ परिज्म॒न्ना ग॑हि दि॒वो वा॑ रोच॒नादधि॑ । सम॑स्मिन्नृञ्जते॒ गिरः॑ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम ज्योतिर्मान स्वर्ग से हमारे यज्ञ में आओ. हमारी स्तुतियां इंद्र के साथ ही संयोग करती हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Come to our sacrifice from heaven. Our praises coincide with Indra. (5)
इ॒तो वा॑ सा॒तिमीम॑हे दि॒वो वा॒ पार्थि॑वा॒दधि॑ । इन्द्रं॑ म॒हो वा॒ रज॑सः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र पृथ्वीलोक में, इहलोक में अथवा स्वर्गलोक में तात्पर्य यह कि जहां कहीं भी हों, हम वहीं से उन्हें बुलाने की इच्छा करते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
Indra in earth, in this world or in heaven, means that wherever we are, we wish to call him from there. (6)
इन्द्र॒मिद्गा॒थिनो॑ बृ॒हदिन्द्र॑म॒र्केभि॑र॒र्किणः॑ । इन्द्रं॒ वाणी॑रनूषत ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पूजा करने वाले यजमान इंद्र की पूजा करते हैं तथा स्तोता इंद्र के ही यश का गान करते हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
The worshiping host worships Indra and sings the glory of Stota Indra. (7)
इन्द्र॒ इद्धर्योः॒ सचा॒ संमिश्ल॒ आ व॑चो॒युजा॑ । इन्द्रो॑ व॒ज्री हि॑र॒ण्ययः॑ ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र के साथ रहने वाले घोड़े हमारे मंत्रोच्चारण के साथ ही रथ में जोड़ दिए जाते हैं. मनुष्यों के हितैषी इंद्र वज्र धारण करते हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
The horses living with Indra are added to the chariot with our chanting of mantras. Indra, the well-wisher of human beings, wears vajra. (8)
इन्द्रो॑ दी॒र्घाय॒ चक्ष॑स॒ आ सूर्यं॑ रोहयद्दि॒वि । वि गोभि॒रद्रि॑मैरयत् ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र ने ही सूर्य को स्वर्ग में इसलिए स्थापित किया है कि सब लोग उन्हें देख सकें तथा इंद्र ने ही अपनी सूर्यरूपी किरणों के द्वारा मेघ का भेदन किया है. (९)
EN English Translation
Indra has established the sun in heaven so that everyone can see him and Indra has penetrated the cloud through his sun-like rays. (9)
इन्द्र॒ वाजे॑षु नोऽव स॒हस्र॑प्रधनेषु च । उ॒ग्र उ॒ग्राभि॑रू॒तिभिः॑ ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! जो युद्ध श्रेष्ठ धन प्राप्त कराने वाला है, उस युद्ध में तुम अपने अतिरिक्त रक्षा साधनों से हमारी रक्षा करो. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Indra! In the war that is going to get the best wealth, protect us with your additional defense tools. (10)
इन्द्रं॑ व॒यं म॑हाध॒न इन्द्र॒मर्भे॑ हवामहे । युजं॑ वृ॒त्रेषु॑ व॒ज्रिण॑म् ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अधिक अथवा थोड़ा धन पाने के लिए हम इंद्र को ही बुलाते हैं. इंद्र ने वृत्र असुर पर अपने वज्र का प्रहार किया था. (११)
EN English Translation
We call Indra to get more or a little money. Indra had attacked Vritra Asura with his thunderbolt. (11)
स नो॑ वृषन्न॒मुं च॒रुं सत्रा॑दाव॒न्नपा॑ वृधि । अ॒स्मभ्य॒मप्र॑तिष्कुतः ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! यह सत्य है कि तुम धन देने वाले और फलों की वर्षा करने वाले हो. तुम किसी के हटाने से हटते नहीं हो. तुम हमारे इस चरु का भक्षण करो तथा हमारा सुख बढ़ाओ. (१२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! It is true that you are the giver of wealth and the rainer of fruits. You don't shy away from removing anyone. You eat this charu of ours and increase our happiness. (12)
तु॒ञ्जेतु॑ञ्जे॒ य उत्त॑रे॒ स्तोमा॒ इन्द्र॑स्य व॒ज्रिणः॑ । न वि॑न्धे अस्य सुष्टु॒तिम् ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं धन प्राप्ति के प्रत्येक अवसर पर तथा सदैव धन प्राप्त करने पर धन से संतुष्ट होता हूं. मैं जिन स्तोत्रों का स्मरण करता हूं, उन में इंद्र की महिमा की कोई सीमा नहीं होती. (१३)
EN English Translation
I am satisfied with money on every occasion of getting money and always on getting money. In the stotras I remember, there is no limit to the glory of Indra. (13)
वृषा॑ यू॒थेव॒ वंस॑गः कृ॒ष्टीरि॑य॒र्त्योज॑सा । ईशा॑नो॒ अप्र॑तिष्कुतः ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम कृषियों को संपन्न करने वाली शक्ति से जलों की वर्षा करते हो. ईशान नाम वाले इंद्र का तिरस्कार कोई नहीं कर सकता. (१४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You rain water with the power that sustains agriculture. No one can despise Indra named Ishaan. (14)
य एक॑श्चर्षणी॒नां वसू॑नामिर॒ज्यति॑ । इन्द्रः॒ पञ्च॑ क्षिती॒नाम् ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र पांच भूमियों, मनुष्यों तथा ऐश्वरयों के भी स्वामी हैं. (१५)
EN English Translation
Indra is also the swami of five lands, humans and opulences. (15)
इन्द्रं॑ वो वि॒श्वत॒स्परि॒ हवा॑महे॒ जने॑भ्यः । अ॒स्माक॑मस्तु॒ केव॑लः ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र का ध्यान यदि दूसरे स्तोताओं की ओर हो, तब भी हम इंद्र को बुलाते हैं. वे इंद्र हमारे ही हैं. (१६)
EN English Translation
Even if Indra's attention is towards other hymns, we still call Indra. That Indra is ours. (16)
एन्द्र॑ सान॒सिं र॒यिं स॒जित्वा॑नं सदा॒सह॑म् । वर्षि॑ष्ठमू॒तये॑ भर ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम सदा प्रसन्नता देने वाले धन तथा फलों की वर्षा करने वाले बल को हमारी रक्षा करने के लिए धारण करो. (१७)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You should always wear the force of wealth that gives happiness and the rain of fruits to protect us. (17)
नि येन॑ मुष्टिह॒त्यया॒ नि वृ॒त्रा रु॒णधा॑महै । त्वोता॑सो॒ न्यर्व॑ता ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हम तुम्हारे द्वारा रक्षित हो कर घोड़ों के स्वामी बनें तथा वृत्र के समान शक्ति वाले शत्रुओं को भी नष्ट कर डालें. (१८)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Let us be protected by you and become the masters of horses and destroy enemies with the same power as the tree. (18)
इन्द्र॒ त्वोता॑स॒ आ व॒यं वज्रं॑ घ॒ना द॑दीमहि । जये॑म॒ सं यु॒धि स्पृधः॑ ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हम तुम्हारे द्वारा रक्षित हैं. हम तुम्हारे विकराल बल को धारण करते हुए अपने शत्रुओं को नष्ट कर डालें. (१९)
EN English Translation
O Indra! We are protected by you. Let us destroy our enemies while wearing your fierce force. (19)
व॒यं शूरे॑भि॒रस्तृ॑भि॒रिन्द्र॒ त्वया॑ यु॒जा व॒यम् । सा॑स॒ह्याम॑ पृतन्य॒तः ॥ (२०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हमारे वीरों की कोई हिंसा न कर सके. हम अपने वीरों को साथ ले कर उन शज्रुओं को भी वश में कर लें जो सेना साथ ले कर हम पर आक्रमण करते हैं. (२०)
EN English Translation
O Indra! No one can do violence to our heroes. Let us take our heroes along and also control those enemies who attack us with the army. (20)
