संशि॑तं म इ॒दं ब्रह्म॒ संशि॑तं वी॒र्यं बल॑म् । संशि॑तं क्ष॒त्रम॒जर॑मस्तु जि॒ष्णुर्येषा॑मस्मि पु॒रोहि॑तः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मेरा ब्राह्मणत्व जाति से पतित करने वाले दोष का विनाश करने में प्रबल हो. मंत्र के प्रभाव से उत्पन्न मेरी शक्ति और मेरा शारीरिक बल अमोघ अर्थात् कभी असफल न होने वाला बने. मैं जिस का पुरोहित हूं, वह क्षत्रिय जाति जय प्राप्त करने वाली तथा वृद्धावस्था से रहित बने. (१)
EN English Translation
May my Brahmanism prevail in destroying the defects that degenerate from the jati. My strength and my physical strength generated by the influence of the mantra should be unfathomable. The Kshatriya jati, to whom I am a priest, should be victorious and devoid of old age. (1)
सम॒हमे॒षां रा॒ष्ट्रं स्या॑मि॒ समोजो॑ वी॒र्यं बल॑म् । वृ॒श्चामि॒ शत्रू॑णां बा॒हून॒नेन॑ ह॒विषा॒हम् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं जिस राजा के राज्य में निवास करता हूं, उस राज्य को मैं समृद्ध बनाता हूं. मैं अपने मंत्रों के प्रभाव से अपने राजा को शारीरिक शक्ति तथा हाथी, घोड़ा आदि से युक्त बनाता हूं अग्नि में हवन किए जाते हुए इस हवि के द्वारा मैं अपने राजा के शत्रुओं की भुजाओं को छिन्नभिन्न करता हूं. (२)
EN English Translation
I make the kingdom of the king in which I live prosperous. With the influence of my mantras, I make my king full of physical strength and elephants, horses, etc. (2)
नी॒चैः प॑द्यन्ता॒मध॑रे भवन्तु॒ ये नः॑ सू॒रिं म॒घवा॑नं पृत॒न्यान् । क्षि॒णामि॒ ब्रह्म॑णा॒मित्रा॒नुन्न॑यामि॒ स्वान॒हम् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हमारे राजा कार्य और अकार्य को जानने वाले तथा अधिक धन वाले हैं. जो शत्रु हमारे ऐसे राजा को पराजित करने की इच्छा से सेना एकत्र करते हैं, हमारे राजा के वे शन्रु नीचे की ओर मुंह कर के गिरें और पैरों से कुचले जाएं. इस प्रयोजन की सिद्धि के निमित्त मैं असफल न होने वाले मंत्रों के द्वारा अपने राजा के शत्रुओं को क्षीण करता हूं और अपने राजा को विजय दिलाता हूं. (३)
EN English Translation
Our kings know work and inaction and are richer. The enemies who gather the army with the desire to defeat such a king of ours, let the enemies of our king fall down and be crushed with their feet. For the purpose of achieving this purpose, I weaken the enemies of my king with non-failed mantras and give victory to my king. (3)
तीक्ष्णी॑यांसः पर॒शोर॒ग्नेस्ती॒क्ष्णत॑रा उ॒त । इन्द्र॑स्य॒ वज्रा॒त्तीक्ष्णी॑यांसो॒ येषा॒मस्मि॑ पु॒रोहि॑तः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं जिन राजाओं का पुरोहित हूं, वे तेज धार वाले फरसे से भी अधिक शत्रु के छेदन में समर्थ हों तथा अग्नि से अधिक शत्रु सेना को भस्म करने वाले बनें. वे राजा इंद्र के वज्र से भी अधिक तीक्षेण बनें अर्थात् उन की गति कहीं रुके नहीं. (४)
EN English Translation
The kings to whom I am a priest should be able to pierce the enemy more than the sharp-edged floor and become more enemy army-destroyers than agni. They became sharper than King Indra's thunderbolt, that is, their speed did not stop anywhere. (4)
ए॒षाम॒हमायु॑धा॒ सं स्या॑म्ये॒षां रा॒ष्ट्रं सु॒वीरं॑ वर्धयामि । ए॒षां क्ष॒त्रम॒जर॑मस्तु जि॒ष्ण्वे॒षां चि॒त्तं विश्वे॑ऽवन्तु दे॒वाः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं अपने राजाओं के आयुधों को तेज धार वाला बनाता हूं तथा इन के राज्य को शोभन वीरों से युक्त करता हूं. इन का शारीरिक बल, बुढ़ापे से रहित तथा शत्रुओं को जीतने वाला हो. इन के युद्धोन्मुख मन की सभी देव रक्षा करे. (५)
EN English Translation
I make the weapons of my kings sharp-edged and adorn their kingdom with adorned heroes. Their physical strength should be devoid of old age and conquering enemies. May all gods protect their war-oriented minds. (5)
उद्ध॑र्षन्तां मघव॒न्वाजि॑ना॒न्युद्वी॒राणां॒ जय॑तामेतु॒ घोषः॑ । पृथ॒ग्घोषा॑ उलु॒लयः॑ केतु॒मन्त॒ उदी॑रताम् । दे॒वा इन्द्र॑ज्येष्ठा म॒रुतो॑ यन्तु॒ सेन॑या ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम्हारी कृपा से हमारी हाथियों, घोड़ों और रथों वाली सेना युद्ध में हर्षित रहे. विजय प्राप्त करने वाले हमारे वीरों का जयघोष शत्रुओं के कानों को बहरा बनाता हुआ उठे. सब से पृथक् एवं सभी के द्वारा जाने गए जयघोष फैलें. इंद्र जिन में सब से बड़े हैं, ऐसे मरुत् युद्ध में हमारी सहायता करने के लिए अपनी सेना ले कर आएं. (६)
EN English Translation
O Indra! By your grace, may our army of elephants, horses and chariots rejoice in the war. The shouts of our victories raised the ears of the enemies deaf. Spread the slogans that are separated from everyone and known by all. Indra, the eldest of whom is, should bring his army to help us in such a desert war. (6)
प्रेता॒ जय॑ता नर उ॒ग्रा वः॑ सन्तु बा॒हवः॑ । ती॒क्ष्णेष॑वोऽब॒लध॑न्वनो हतो॒ग्रायु॑धा अब॒लानु॒ग्रबा॑हवः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सैनिको! युद्ध भूमि की ओर बढ़ो तथा देवों की कृपा से शत्रुओं पर विजय प्राप्त करो. तेज धार वाले आयुधों को धारण करने वाली तुम्हारी भुजाएं शक्तिशालिनी बनें और शक्ति रहित आयुधों को धारण करने वाले तथा बलहीन शत्रुओं का विनाश करें. (७)
EN English Translation
O soldiers! Move towards the battlefield and win over the enemies by the grace of the gods. May your arms, which hold sharp-edged weapons, be powerful and destroy the powerless and powerless enemies. (7)
अव॑सृष्टा॒ परा॑ पत॒ शर॑व्ये॒ ब्रह्म॑संशिते । जया॒मित्रा॒न्प्र प॑द्यस्व ज॒ह्ये॑षां॒ वरं॑वरं॒ मामीषां॑ मोचि॒ कश्च॒न ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे बाण! तू मंत्रों के द्वारा तीक्ष्ण बनाया गया है तथा शत्रुओं के विनाश में कुशल है. तू हमारे धनुष से छूट कर शत्रु सेना की ओर जा कर गिर और उन के शरीर में प्रवेश कर के उन की उत्तम सेना का विनाश कर. शत्रु सैनिकों में से कोई भी बचने न पाए. (८)
EN English Translation
Oh my god! You have been sharpened by mantras and are skilled in destroying enemies. You get rid of our bow and fall towards the enemy army and enter their bodies and destroy their superior army. None of the enemy soldiers could escape. (8)
