आय॑ने ते प॒राय॑णे॒ दूर्वा॑ रोहन्तु पु॒ष्पिणीः॑ । उत्सो॑ वा॒ तत्र॒ जाय॑तां ह्र॒दो वा॑ पु॒ण्डरी॑कवान् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम्हारे अभिमुख जाने में अथवा पराङ्मुख जाने में हमारे देश में पुष्प युक्त कोमल दूर्वा उत्पन्न हो. हमारे घर और खेत में पानी के सोते उत्पन्न हों तथा कमलों वाला सरोवर निर्मित हो. (१)
EN English Translation
O agni! In going to your face or in the face of you, a soft fur with flowers should be produced in our country. Water springs should be generated in our house and field and a lake with lotus should be built. (1)
अ॒पामि॒दं न्यय॑नं समु॒द्रस्य॑ नि॒वेश॑नम् । मध्ये॑ ह्र॒दस्य॑ नो गृ॒हाः प॑रा॒चीना॒ मुखा॑ कृधि ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हमारा वह घर जल का स्थान एवं सागर का निवेश बने. हमारे घर गहरे तालाबों के मध्य में हों. हे अग्नि! तुम अपने ज्वाला रूपी मुख हमारी ओर से फेर लो. (२)
EN English Translation
Our house should become a place of water and an investment of the ocean. Our houses should be in the middle of deep ponds. O agni! Turn your flame-like face away from us. (2)
हि॒मस्य॑ त्वा ज॒रायु॑णा॒ शाले॒ परि॑ व्ययामसि । शी॒तह्र॑दा॒ हि नो॒ भुवो॒ऽग्निष्कृ॑णोतु भेष॒जम् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शाला! हम तुझे हिमालय के शीतल जल से इस प्रकार घेरते हैं, जिस प्रकार जरायु गर्भ को तथा शैवाल जल को घेरता है. हे शाला! तू हमारे लिए शीतल जल वाली बन जा. हमारी प्रार्थना सुन कर अग्नि हमारे घरों को जलने से बचाने वाली ओषधि बनें. (३)
EN English Translation
O school! We surround you with the cold water of the Himalayas in such a way that the newborn surrounds the womb and the algae water. O school! You become cold water for us. By listening to our prayers, agni should be a medicine to save our homes from burning. (3)
