अ॑प॒मित्य॒मप्र॑तीत्तं॒ यदस्मि॑ य॒मस्य॒ येन॑ ब॒लिना॒ चरा॑मि । इ॒दं तद॑ग्ने अनृ॒णो भ॑वामि॒ त्वं पाशा॑न्वि॒चृतं॑ वेत्थ॒ सर्वा॑न् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं ही इस प्रकार का ऋणी हूं जो ऋण लेने के बाद धनी को नहीं लौटाता हूं. उसी शक्तिशाली ऋण के कारण मैं शासक यम के वश में रहता हूं. हे अग्नि, तुम्हारे प्रभाव से मैं उस ऋण से छूट गया हूं. मैं ऋण न चुकाने के कारण होने वाले पारलौकिक पाशों से छूट जाऊंगा. (१)
EN English Translation
I am the only one who does not return the rich after taking a loan. Due to the same powerful debt, I remain in the control of ruler Yama. O Agni, under your influence I have been left out of that debt. I will be exempted from the transcendental loopholes caused by non-repayment of loans. (1)
इ॒हैव सन्तः॒ प्रति॑ दद्म एनज्जी॒वा जी॒वेभ्यो॒ नि ह॑राम एनत् । अ॑प॒मित्य॑ धा॒न्य यज्ज॒घसा॒हमि॒दं तद॑ग्ने अनृ॒णो भ॑वामि ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम इस लोक में रहते हुए ही धनी को ऋण लौटाते हैं. इस लोक में जीवित रहते हुए ही जीवित धनी को ऋण चुकाना चाहिए. मैं ने धनी से ले कर जो अन्न खाया है, हे अग्नि! तुम्हारी कृपा से मैं दूसरे का धान्य खाने के ऋण से छूट जाऊं. (२)
EN English Translation
We return the loan to the rich while living in this world. While living in this world, the living rich should repay the debt. I have eaten from the rich, O agni! By your grace, I should be freed from the debt of eating another's grain. (2)
अ॑नृ॒णा अ॒स्मिन्न॑नृ॒णाः पर॑स्मिन्तृ॒तीये॑ लो॒के अ॑नृ॒णाः स्या॑म । ये दे॑व॒यानाः॑ पितृ॒याणा॑श्च लो॒काः सर्वा॑न्प॒थो अ॑नृ॒णा आ क्षि॑येम ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम्हारी कृपा से मैं इस लोक में, स्वर्ग आदि परलोकों में तथा स्वर्ग से उत्तम लोक में ऋण रहित हो कर जाऊं. जो देवों के गमन के लोक हैं, पितरों के गमन से लोक हैं, मैं वहां ऋण रहित हो कर ही जाऊं. (३)
EN English Translation
O agni! By Your grace, I will go to this world, heaven, etc. and from heaven to the better world without debt. Those who are the world of the movement of gods, those who are the people of the movement of ancestors, I should go there without debt. (3)
