Kanda 6 • Sukta 70
यथा॑ मां॒सं यथा॒ सुरा॒ यथा॒क्षा अ॑धि॒देव॑ने । यथा॑ पुं॒सो वृ॑षण्य॒त स्त्रि॒यां नि॑ह॒न्यते॒ मनः॑ । ए॒वा ते॑ अघ्न्ये॒ मनोऽधि॑ व॒त्से नि ह॑न्यताम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मांसभक्षी को मांस, शराबी को शराब और जुआरी को पासे जिस प्रकार प्रिय होते हैं तथा जिस प्रकार सुरत चाहने वाले पुरुष का मन स्त्री में लगा रहता है, हे गौ! उसी प्रकार तेरा मन तेरे बछड़े में लगा रहे. (१)
EN English Translation
The way meat is dear to the carnivore, wine to the alcoholic and dice to the gambler and the way the mind of the man who wants surat is engaged in the woman, O cow! In the same way, let your mind be in your calf. (1)
यथा॑ ह॒स्ती ह॑स्ति॒न्याः प॒देन॑ प॒दमु॑द्यु॒जे । यथा॑ पुं॒सो वृ॑षण्य॒त स्त्रि॒यां नि॑ह॒न्यते॒ मनः॑ । ए॒वा ते॑ अघ्न्ये॒ मनोऽधि॑ व॒त्से नि ह॑न्यताम् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हाथी जिस प्रकार अपने पैर से प्रेम के साथ हथिनी का पैर मोड़ता है तथा जिस प्रकार सुरत के इच्छुक पुरुष का मन स्त्री में लगा रहता है, हे गौ! उसी प्रकार तेरा मन तेरे बछड़े में लगा रहे. (२)
EN English Translation
The way the elephant folds the elephant's leg with love with its foot and the way the mind of the man willing to surat is engaged in the woman, O cow! In the same way, let your mind be in your calf. (2)
यथा॑ प्र॒धिर्यथो॑प॒धिर्यथा॒ नभ्यं॑ प्र॒धावधि॑ । यथा॑ पुं॒सो वृ॑षण्य॒त स्त्रि॒यां नि॑ह॒न्यते॒ मनः॑ । ए॒वा ते॑ अघ्न्ये॒ मनोऽधि॑ व॒त्से नि ह॑न्यताम् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे गौ! जिस प्रकार रथ के पहिए की नेमि आरों से संबंधित रहती है और सुरत के इच्छुक पुरुष का मन जिस प्रकार नारी में लगा रहता है, उसी प्रकार तेरा मन अपने बछड़े में लगा रहे. (३)
EN English Translation
O cow! Just as the wheel of the chariot is related to the dimensions and the mind of the man who wants to surat is engaged in the woman, in the same way, your mind should be engaged in your calf. (3)
