Kanda 6 • Sukta 74
सं वः॑ पृच्यन्तां त॒न्वः सं मनां॑सि॒ समु॑ व्र॒ता । सं वो॒ऽयं ब्रह्म॑ण॒स्पति॒र्भगः॒ सं वो॑ अजीगमत् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सौमनस्य के इच्छुक पुरुषो! तुम्हारे शरीर परस्पर के अनुराग से बंधें तथा हृदय भी एकदूसरे के समीप आएं. तुम्हारे कृषि, वाणिज्य आदि कर्म भी सामंजस्य पूर्ण रहें. ब्रह्मणस्पति देव तुम्हें संगत हृदय वाला बनाएं तथा भग नामक देव तुम्हें परस्पर तालमेल वाला करें. (१)
EN English Translation
O men willing to be harmonious! May your bodies be bound by mutual affection and hearts should also come close to each other. Your work like agriculture, commerce etc. should also be harmonious. May Brahmanaspati Dev make you compatible with a heart and may god called Bhaga make you compatible. (1)
सं॒ज्ञप॑नं वो॒ मन॒सोऽथो॑ संज्ञप॑नं हृ॒दः । अथो॒ भग॑स्य॒ यच्छ्रा॒न्तं तेन॒ संज्ञ॑पयामि वः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सौमनस्य चाहने वाले पुरुषो! मैं ऐसा यज्ञ कर्म करता हूं, जिस से तुम्हारा मन उचित ज्ञान से पूर्ण हो. भग नाम के देव का जो श्रम से उत्पन्न तप है, उस के द्वारा मैं तुम्हें समान ज्ञान वाला बनाता हूं. (२)
EN English Translation
O men who want harmony! I perform such a sacrificial deed, so that your mind is full of proper knowledge. Through the penance of the God named Bhaga, which is produced by labor, I make you of equal knowledge. (2)
यथा॑दि॒त्या वसु॑भिः सम्बभू॒वुर्म॒रुद्भि॑रु॒ग्रा अहृ॑णीयमानाः । ए॒वा त्रि॑णाम॒न्नहृ॑णीयमान इ॒माञ्जना॒न्त्संम॑नसस्कृधी॒ह ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जिस प्रकार अदिति के पुत्र मित्र, वरुण आदि आठ वसुओं के साथ समान ज्ञान वाले हुए, जिस प्रकार उनचास मरुतों के साथ उग्र एवं बलशाली रुद्र क्रोध करते हुए समान ज्ञान वाले हुए, हे तीन नामों अर्थात् पार्थिव, विद्युत और सूर्य अग्नि! तुम क्रोध न करते हुए इन जनों को समान ज्ञान वाला बनाओ. (३)
EN English Translation
Just as Aditi's son friend, Varuna etc. were of the same knowledge with the eight Vasus, just as the fierce and powerful Rudra with the forty-nine Maruts became angry and of the same knowledge, O three names i.e. Parthiv, Vidyut and Surya Agni! Do not get angry and make these people of equal knowledge. (3)
