यन्न॒ इन्द्रो॒ अख॑न॒द्यद॒ग्निर्विश्वे॑ दे॒वा म॒रुतो॒ यत्स्व॒र्काः । तद॒स्मभ्यं॑ सवि॒ता स॒त्यध॑र्मा प्र॒जाप॑ति॒रनु॑मति॒र्नि य॑च्छात् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
परम ऐश्वर्य वाले इंद्र देव ने हमारे लिए जो फल दिया तथा अग्नि, विश्वे देव, मरुद्गण और स्वका नामक देवों ने हमारे लिए जो फल दिया. सब के प्रेरक सविता और यथार्थ नाम वाले प्रजापति ने जिस फल की अनुमति दी. वह फल हमें प्राप्त हो. (१)
EN English Translation
The fruits that Indra Dev, who was the most opulence, gave for us and the fruits that the gods named Agni, Vishwe Dev, Marudgan and Swaka gave us. Savita, the inspiration of all, and Prajapati, who had the name Yatharth, allowed the fruit. May we get that fruit. (1)
ययो॒रोज॑सा स्कभि॒ता रजां॑सि॒ यौ वी॒र्यैर्वी॒रत॑मा॒ शवि॑ष्ठा । यौ पत्ये॑ते॒ अप्र॑तीतौ॒ सहो॑भि॒र्विष्णु॑मग॒न्वरु॑णं पू॒र्वहू॑तिः ॥ (१)

जिन विष्णु और वरुण के बल के द्वारा पृथ्वी आदि स्थान दृढ़ किए गए हैं, जो विष्णु और वरुण अपने वीरतापूर्ण कर्मों के द्वारा अतिशय शक्तिशाली ऐश्वर्य प्राप्त कर चुके हैं, उन विष्णु और वरुण को सभी देवों से पहले किया गया आह्वान प्राप्त हो. (१)
EN English Translation
Vishnu and Varuna, through the power of Vishnu and Varuna, who have been strengthened in the earth and other places, who have attained very powerful opulence through their heroic deeds, may Vishnu and Varuna receive the call given before all the gods. (1)
विष्णो॒र्नु कं॒ प्रा वो॑चं वी॒र्याणि॒ यः पार्थि॑वानि विम॒मे रजां॑सि । यो अस्क॑भाय॒दुत्त॑रं स॒धस्थं॑ विचक्रमा॒णस्त्रे॒धोरु॑गा॒यः ॥ (१)

मैं उन विष्णु के किन वीरतापूर्ण कर्मो का वर्णन करूं, जिन्होंने पृथ्वी के रूप में लोकों का निर्माण किया है. विष्णु ने इस से भी ऊंचे स्तर के स्थान स्वर्ग को धारण किया है. महापुरुषों द्वारा स्तुति किए गए विष्णु ने पृथ्वी, अंतरिक्ष और आकाश में चरण रखते हुए यह निर्माण किया है. (१)
EN English Translation
What heroic deeds should I describe of Vishnu, who has created the worlds in the form of earth? Vishnu has taken heaven, a place of a higher level than this. Vishnu, praised by great men, has created this by keeping feet in the earth, space and sky. (1)
इडै॒वास्माँ अनु॑ वस्तां व्र॒तेन॒ यस्याः॑ प॒दे पु॒नते॑ देव॒यन्तः॑ । घृ॒तप॑दी॒ शक्व॑री॒ सोम॑पृ॒ष्ठोप॑ य॒ज्ञम॑स्थित वैश्वदे॒वी ॥ (१)

गहन रूपा इडा ही हमारे द्वारा किए जाते हुए यह कर्मो को फल देने वाला बनाएं. उस इडा के चरणों में देवों की कामना करने वाले यजमान अपनेआप को पवित्र करते हैं. हम जहांजहां चरण रखें वहांवहां घृत टपकाने वाली, फल देने में समर्थ एवं पीठ पर सोम लिए हुए इडा नाम की बहन हमारे यज्ञ को विस्तृत करें. (१)
EN English Translation
Make these deeds worth bearing fruit while doing deep rupa ida. At the feet of that Ida, the hosts who wish for the gods sanctify themselves. Wherever we step, let a sister named Ida, who is able to give fruits and has soma on her back, expand our yajna. (1)
वे॒दः स्व॒स्तिर्द्रु॑घ॒णः स्व॒स्तिः प॑र॒शुर्वेदिः॑ पर॒शुर्नः॑ स्व॒स्ति । ह॑वि॒ष्कृतो॑ यज्ञिया य॒ज्ञका॑मास्ते दे॒वासो॑ य॒ज्ञमि॒मं जु॑षन्ताम् ॥ (१)

वेद (दर्भ समूह) हमारे लिए अविनाश का कारण बने. पेड़ काटने के काम आने वाली कुल्हाड़ी हमारा कल्याण करे. घास काटने का साधन वेदि अर्थात् खुरपी तथा परशु हमारा कल्याण करे. हवि का निर्माण करने वाले, यज्ञ के योग्य एवं यज्ञ की कामना करते हुए मुझ यजमान का यज्ञ वे देव स्वीकार करें. (१)
EN English Translation
The Vedas (Darbha group) became the cause of indestruction for us. May the axe used to cut trees do good to us. The means of cutting grass should be vedi i.e. khurpi and parshu for our welfare. Those who created havi, worthy of yajna and wishing for yajna, accept the sacrifice of my host. (1)
अग्ना॑विष्णू॒ महि॒ तद्वां॑ महि॒त्वं पा॒थो घृ॒तस्य॒ गुह्य॑स्य॒ नाम॑ । दमे॑दमे स॒प्त रत्ना॒ दधा॑नौ॒ प्रति॑ वां जि॒ह्वा घृ॒तमा च॑रण्यात् ॥ (१)

हे अग्नि और विष्णु! तुम दोनों कहे जाते हुए माहात्म्यपूर्ण, महान गोपनीय, और टपकने वाले घृत को पियो. अग्नि और विष्णु प्रत्येक यज्ञशाला में रत्न धारण करते हैं. तुम दोनों की जिह्वा हवन में डाले गए घृत को सामने आ कर प्राप्त करे. (१)
EN English Translation
O Agni and Vishnu! Drink the great, great secret, and dripping ghrit called both of you. Agni and Vishnu wear gems in every yagyashala. May the tongue of both of you come out and get the ghrit put in the havan. (1)
स्वाक्तं॑ मे॒ द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी स्वाक्तं॑ मि॒त्रो अ॑कर॒यम् । स्वाक्तं॑ मे॒ ब्रह्म॑ण॒स्पतिः॒ स्वाक्तं॑ सवि॒ता क॑रत् ॥ (१)

धरती और आकाश मेरे यज्ञ के बलिदान वाले खंबे अर्थात् यूप को भलीभांति रंगें. दिखाई देते हुए ये सूर्य यज्ञ के यूप को रंगें. मंत्र का पालन करने वाले देव मेरे यूप को रंगें. सब के प्रेरक सविता देव इस यूप को रंगा हुआ बनाएं. (१)
EN English Translation
May the earth and sky paint the sacrificial pillar of my yajna i.e. yupe well. While appearing, they should color the yoop of the Sun Yagya. God who follows the mantra should paint my yupe. Savita Dev, everyone's motivator, make this yupe colorful. (1)
इन्द्रो॒तिभि॑र्बहु॒लाभि॑र्नो अ॒द्य या॑वच्छ्रे॒ष्ठाभि॑र्मघवन्छूर जिन्व । यो नो॒ द्वेष्ट्यध॑रः॒ सस्प॑दीष्ट॒ यमु॑ द्वि॒ष्मस्तमु॑ प्रा॒णो ज॑हातु ॥ (१)

हे इंद्र! आज बहुत सी रक्षाओं अर्थात् रक्षा साधनों के द्वारा हमारा पालन करो. हे धनवान एवं शौर्य संपन्न इंद्र! प्रशंसनीय रक्षा साधनों के द्वारा हमें पूर्णतया प्रसन्न करो. जो शत्रु हम से द्वेष करते हैं, वे अधोमुख हो कर गिरें. जिस श्रु से हम द्वेष करते हैं, उसे तुम्हारा प्राण त्याग दे. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Today, follow us through many defenses i.e. defense means. O rich and brave Indra! Please us completely with praiseworthy defense tools. The enemies who hate us should fall face down. Give up your life to the shrew we hate. (1)
उप॑ प्रि॒यं पनि॑प्नतं॒ युवा॑नमाहुती॒वृध॑म् । अग॑न्म॒ बिभ्र॑तो॒ नमो॑ दी॒र्घमायुः॑ कृणोतु मे ॥ (१)

सब को प्रसन्न करने वाले, स्तुति किए जाते हुए, नित्य तरुण एवं घृत की आहुतियों से बढ़ने वाले अग्नि देव को हम नमस्कार एवं हविरूप अन्न ले कर मिलें. वे मेरी और मेरे विद्यार्थी की आयु १०० वर्ष करें. (१)
EN English Translation
We should greet and take food to the Agni God, who pleases everyone, is praised, who is constantly growing with the offerings of youth and ghee. Let them make me and my student 100 years old. (1)
सं मा॑ सिञ्चन्तु म॒रुतः॒ सं पू॑ष॒ सं बृह॒स्पतिः॑ । सं मा॒यम॒ग्निः सि॑ञ्चतु प्र॒जया॑ च॒ धने॑न च दी॒र्घमायुः॑ कृणोतु मे ॥ (१)

मरुत् आदि देवगण मुझ फल चाहने वाले यजमान को पुत्र आदि रूप प्रजा से और धन से युक्त करें. अग्नि मेरे विद्यार्थी की आयु लंबी करें. (१)
EN English Translation
May the deserted gods equip me with the host who wants fruit with the people and wealth in the form of a son etc. Agni make my student's life long. (1)
अग्ने॑ जा॒तान्प्र णु॑दा मे स॒पत्ना॒न्प्रत्यजा॑ताञ्जातवेदो नुदस्व । अ॑धस्प॒दं कृ॑णुष्व॒ ये पृ॑त॒न्यवोऽना॑गस॒स्ते व॒यमदि॑तये स्याम ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! मेरे उत्पन्न शत्रुओं को मुझ से बहुत दूर जाने की प्रेरणा दो. हे जातवेद अग्नि! मेरे जो शत्रु उत्पन्न नहीं हुए हैं, उन का विनाश करो. जो शत्रु सेना ले कर मुझ से युद्ध करने के इच्छुक हैं. उन्हें अपने पैरों के नीचे कुचल दो. हे खंड न करने योग्य पृथ्वी अथवा अदीना देवमाता! हम पापरहित हो कर तुम्हारे कृपा पात्र बनें. EN English Translation
O agni! Inspire my born enemies to go far away from me. O jataved agni! Destroy my enemies that have not been born. Those who are willing to take the enemy army and fight with me. Crush them under your feet. O unbroken earth or Adina Devmata! Let us be sinless and be your gracious. (1)
प्रान्यान्त्स॒पत्ना॒न्त्सह॑सा॒ सह॑स्व॒ प्रत्यजा॑ताञ्जातवेदो नुदस्व । इ॒दं रा॒ष्ट्रं पि॑पृहि॒ सौभ॑गाय॒ विश्व॑ एन॒मनु॑ मदन्तु दे॒वाः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! मेरे उत्पन्न शत्रुओं को बहुत दूर भगा दो. हे उत्पन्नों को जानने वाले अग्नि देव! मेरे ऐसे शत्रुओं का विनाश करो, जिन्हें मैं नहीं जानता. हमारे इस राष्ट्र को तुम सौभाग्य से पूर्ण करो. सभी देव शत्रु विनाश का प्रयोग करने वाले इस यजमान को प्रसन्न करें. (१)
EN English Translation
O agni! Drive away my created enemies too far. O God of agni who knows the births! Destroy my enemies whom I do not know. May you complete this nation of ours fortunately. May all gods please this host who uses enemy destruction. (1)
अ॒क्ष्यौ नौ॒ मधु॑संकाशे॒ अनी॑कं नौ स॒मञ्ज॑नम् । अ॒न्तः कृ॑णुष्व॒ मां हृ॒दि मन॒ इन्नौ॑ स॒हास॑ति ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पत्नी! मेरी और तेरी आंखें शहद के समान मधुर हों अर्थात् हम एकदूसरे के प्रति अनुरक्त हों. हमारी आंखों का अग्रभाग काजल से युक्त हो. तू मुझे हृदयंगम कर अर्थात् ऐसा प्रयत्न कर, जिस से मैं तेरा प्रिय बन सकूं. हम दोनों का मन समान कार्य करने वाला हो. (१)
EN English Translation
O wife! May my and your eyes be as sweet as honey, that is, we are attached to each other. The front of our eyes should be equipped with mascara. Make me heartbroken, that is, try to make me dear to you. We both have the same mind. (1)
अ॒भि त्वा॒ मनु॑जातेन॒ दधा॑मि॒ मम॒ वास॑सा । यथाऽसो॒ मम॒ केव॑लो॒ नान्यासां॑ की॒र्तया॑श्च॒न ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
स्त्री अपने पति से कहती है—हे पति! मैं तुम को अपने मंत्र से युक्त वस्त्र से बांधती हूं. इस प्रकार तुम केवल मेरे ही हो सकोगे तथा दूसरी नारियों का नाम भी नहीं लोगे. (१)

The woman says to her husband, "O husband! I tie you with a cloth containing my mantra. In this way you will only be mine and will not even name other women. (1)
इ॒दं ख॑नामि भेष॒जं मां॑प॒श्यम॑भिरोरु॒दम् । प॑राय॒तो नि॒वर्त॑नमाय॒तः प्र॑ति॒नन्द॑नम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं वश में करने वाली इस सौवर्चा नामक जड़ी को खोदता हूं. यह मेरे पति को मेरे अनुकूल बनाए और मेरे पति का अन्य नारियों से संबंध रोके. यह जड़ी मुझे छोड़ कर जाते हुए पति को वापस लाए तथा मेरी ओर आते हुए पति को आनंदित करे. (१)
EN English Translation
I dig this subdued herb called Sauvarcha. It will make my husband friendly to me and stop my husband's relationship with other women. This herb should leave me and bring back the husband and make the husband happy while coming towards me. (1)
दि॒व्यं सु॑प॒र्णं प॑य॒सं बृ॒हन्त॑म॒पां गर्भं॑ वृष॒भमोष॑धीनाम् । अ॑भीप॒तो वृ॒ष्ट्या त॒र्पय॑न्त॒मा नो॑ गो॒ष्ठे र॑यि॒ष्ठां स्था॑पयाति ॥ (१)

हे इंद्र! हमारी गोशाला में दिव्य, शोभन गति वाले, जल से पूर्ण, महान जलों के मध्य रहने वाले, जड़ीबूटियों की वृद्धि के लिए वर्षा करने वाले, सभी ओर से जलों से संगत एवं सारे संसार को वर्षा से तृप्त करने वाले सारस्वत नामक देव को स्थापित करो. वे सदा धन वाले प्रदेश में ठहरते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Establish in our gaushala a god called Saraswat, who is divine, full of water, who lives among great waters, who showers for the growth of herbs, is compatible with water from all sides and satisfies the whole world with rain. They always stay in a region of wealth. (1)
यस्य॑ व्र॒तं प॒शवो॒ यन्ति॒ सर्वे॒ यस्य॑ व्र॒त उ॑पतिष्ठन्त॒ आपः॑ । यस्य॑ व्र॒ते पु॑ष्ट॒पति॒र्निवि॑ष्ट॒स्तं सर॑स्वन्त॒मव॑से हवामहे ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
समस्त पशु अपनी पुष्टि के निमित्त जिस के कर्म का अनुगमन करते हैं, जिस के कर्म में जल आपस में मिलते हैं तथा जिस के कर्म के अधीन पोषण के स्वामी हैं, उन सरस्वान देव की तृप्ति के लिए हम उन का आह्वान करते हैं. (१)

We call upon all the animals to satisfy the Saraswan Dev, whose karma the water meets together for the sake of their confirmation, in whose karma the water meets and under whose karma they are the masters of nourishment. (1)
अति॒ धन्वा॒न्यत्य॒पस्त॑तर्द श्ये॒नो नृ॒चक्षा॑ अवसानद॒र्शः । तर॒न्विश्वा॒न्यव॑रा॒ रजां॒सीन्द्रे॑ण॒ सख्या॑ शि॒व आ ज॑गम्यात् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मनुष्यों के सभी कर्मो के साक्षी एवं अंत में आकाश में दिखाई देने वाले सूर्य मरुस्थल को पार कर के अत्यधिक जलपूर्ण करें. वे आकाश से नीचे स्थित समस्त लोकों को पार करते हुए अपने मित्र इंद्र के साथ कल्याणकारी बन कर नवीन गृह निर्माण के स्थान में आएं. (१)

Witness all the deeds of humans and finally cross the sun desert seen in the sky and make it very watery. He crossed all the worlds located below the sky and became a benefactor with his friend Indra and came to the place of new house construction. (1)
सोमा॑रुद्रा॒ वि वृ॑हतं विषूची॒ममी॑वा॒ या नो॒ गय॑मावि॒वेश॑ । बाधे॑थां दू॒रं निरृ॑तिं परा॒चैः कृ॒तं चि॒देनः॒ प्र मु॑मुक्तम॒स्मत् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम एवं रुद्र देव! सभी ओर फैलने वाले उस अमीवा नामक रोग का विनाश करो जो हमारे शरीर में प्रवेश कर गया है. इस के अतिरिक्त अमीवा रोग का कारण बनी हुई पिशाची को विमुख कर के दूर ले जाओ, जिस से वह हमारे पास न आ सके. हमारे द्वारा किए हुए पाप को भी हम से दूर करो. (१)
EN English Translation
O Soma and Rudra Dev! Destroy the disease called Amiva spreading all over which has entered our body. In addition to this, turn away the vampire that is the cause of Amiva disease and take it away, so that it can not come to us. Remove the sins committed by us from us. (1)
शि॒वास्त॒ एका॒ अशि॑वास्त॒ एकाः॒ सर्वा॑ बिभर्षि सुमन॒स्यमा॑नः । ति॒स्रो वाचो॒ निहि॑ता अ॒न्तर॒स्मिन्तासा॒मेका॒ वि प॑पा॒तानु॒ घोष॑म् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अकारण निंदित पुरुष! तेरे विषय में कुछ वाणियां स्तुति रूपा एवं कल्याणी हैं तथा कुछ वाणियां तेरे विषय में निंदापूर्ण हैं. सौमनस्य का आचरण करती हुई इन दो प्रकार की वाणियों के अतिरिक्त तीन वाणियां अर्थात् परा, पश्यंती और मध्यमा-इस शब्द प्रयोग में शरीर के भीतर छिपी रहती हैं. केवल एक अर्थात् वैखरी वाणी ध्वनि के रूप में निकलती है. O man of condemnation for no reason! Some of the statements about you are praise and welfare and some are blasphemous about you. In addition to these two types of words conducting harmony, three words namely Para, Pashyanti and Madhyama - are hidden within the body in this use of words. Only one i.e. Vaikhari speech comes out as sound. (1)
उ॒भा जि॑ग्यथु॒र्न परा॑ जयेथे॒ न परा॑ जिग्ये कत॒रश्च॒नैन॑योः । इन्द्र॑श्च विष्णो॒ यदप॑स्पृधेथां त्रे॒धा स॒हस्रं॒ वि तदै॑रयेथाम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र और विष्णु! तुम दोनों सर्वदा विजयी बनो और किसी से कभी पराजित न होओ. इन दोनों में से एक भी दूसरे से पराजित नहीं होता. हे इंद्र और विष्णु! तुम दो असुरों के साथ जिस वस्तु की स्पर्धा करते हो, वह वस्तु लोक, वेद और वाणी के रूप में स्थित हो कर हजारों से भी बढ़कर हो. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Vishnu! May both of you always be victorious and never defeated by anyone. Neither of these two is defeated by the other. O Indra and Vishnu! The object that you compete with two asuras is located in the form of Lok, Veda and Vani and is more than thousands. (1)
जना॑द्विश्वज॒नीना॑त्सिन्धु॒तस्पर्याभृ॑तम् । दू॒रात्त्वा॑ मन्य॒ उद्भृ॑तमी॒र्ष्याया॒ नाम॑ भेष॒जम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ईर्ष्या समाप्त करने वाली जड़ीबूटी को संबोधित कर के कहा जा रहा है— सभी जनों के हितकारक जनपद से तथा सागर से लाई हुई को एवं दूर देश से उखाड़ कर लाई तुझ, सक्तुमंथ नामक जड़ीबूटी को मैं क्रोध का निवारण करने वाली मानता हूं. (१)

Addressing the herb that eliminates jealousy, it is being said that I consider the herb called Tujh, Saktumanth, brought from the district and the sea brought from the beneficial district of all people and uprooted from a distant country. (1)
अ॒ग्नेरि॑वास्य॒ दह॑तो दा॒वस्य॒ दह॑तः॒ पृथ॑क् । ए॒तामे॒तस्ये॒र्ष्यामु॒द्नाग्निमि॑व शमय ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जिस प्रकार अग्नि वस्तुओं को जलाती है, उसी प्रकार क्रोध के कारण मेरे कार्य बिगाड़ने वाले तथा दावाग्नि के जलाने के समान क्रोध करते हुए सामने वाले पुरुष को मेरे विषय में प्रयोग की जाती हुई ईर्ष्या को इस प्रकार शांत करो, जिस प्रकार शीतल जल डालने से अग्नि शांत कर दी जाती है. (१)

Just as agni burns things, in the same way, the one who spoils my work due to anger and while angering like burning the agni, calm the jealousy used in the opposite man about me in such a way that the agni is calmed by pouring cold water. (1)
सिनी॑वालि॒ पृथु॑ष्टुके॒ या दे॒वाना॒मसि॒ स्वसा॑ । जु॒षस्व॑ ह॒व्यमाहु॑तं प्र॒जां दे॑वि दिदिड्ढि नः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सिनीवाली! अर्थात् ऐसी अमावस्या! जिस में चंद्रमा दिखाई नहीं देता है, तू बहुत से जनों द्वारा स्तुति की गई एवं देवों की बहन है. तू सामने डाले गए हव्य को स्वीकार कर तथा हमारे लिए पुत्र आदि के रूप में प्रजा प्रदान कर. (१)

O Siniwali! That is, such a new moon! In which the moon is not visible, you have been praised by many people and are the sister of gods. Accept the desire put before you and give us people as sons etc. (1)
कु॒हूं दे॒वीं सु॒कृतं॑ विद्म॒नाप॑सम॒स्मिन्य॒ज्ञे सु॒हवा॑ जोहवीमि । सा नो॑ र॒यिं वि॒श्ववा॑रं॒ नि य॑च्छा॒द्ददा॑तु वी॒रं श॒तदा॑यमु॒क्थ्यम् ॥ (१)

कुहू अथवा चंद्रमा दिखाई न देने वाली अमावस्या देवी को मैं इस यज्ञ में बुलाता हूं अथवा हवि से होम करता हूं. शोभन कर्म करने वाली, विदित कर्मो वाली एवं शोभन आह्वान वाली वह अमावस्या हमें सब के द्वारा वरणीय धन दे तथा अधिक धन देने वाला, प्रशंसनीय एवं वीर पुत्र प्रदान करे. (१)

I call the New Moon Goddess, who is not seen in Kuhu or moon, in this yagna or do homa with havi. May that Amavasya, which performs shoban karma, known deeds and invocation of shobhan, gives us various wealth through all and gives us a more wealthy, praiseworthy and brave son. (1)
