Kanda 7 • Sukta 13
स॒भा च॑ मा॒ समि॑तिश्चावतां प्र॒जाप॑तेर्दुहि॒तरौ॑ संविदा॒ने । येना॑ सं॒गच्छा॒ उप॑ मा॒ स शि॑क्षा॒च्चारु॑ वदानि पितरः॒ संग॑तेषु ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
विद्वानों का समाज एवं संग्राम करने वाले योद्धा जनों का समूह मेरी रक्षा करे. सारे संसार की सृष्टि करने वाले प्रजापति की वे दोनों पुत्रियां मेरी रक्षा करें. जो मेरी रक्षा के विषय में एकमत हैं, उन से मैं संगत होऊं तथा विद्वान् मेरे समीप आ कर मुझे शिक्षा दें. हे सभासदजनो! जो मेरी कही बात का 'साधुसाधु' कह कर समर्थन करें, उन के साथ मिल कर मैं वादविवादों में न्याय युक्त उत्तर दूं. (१)
EN English Translation
May the society of scholars and the group of warriors who fight protect me. May those two daughters of Prajapati, who created the whole world, protect me. I should be compatible with those who are unanimous about protecting me and scholars should come near me and teach me. O members! Along with those who support what I said by saying 'sadhusadhu', I should give a just reply in the debates. (1)
वि॒द्म ते॑ सभे॒ नाम॑ न॒रिष्टा॒ नाम॒ वा अ॑सि । ये ते॒ के च॑ सभा॒सद॑स्ते मे सन्तु॒ सवा॑चसः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सभा! मैं तेरे नामों को जानता हूं. तेरा नाम नरिष्टा अर्थात् दूसरों के द्वारा अभिभूत न होने वाली है. तुझ से संबंधित जो सभासद हैं, वे सब मेरे समान वचन वाले अर्थात् मेरा अनुमोदन करने वाले हों. (२)
EN English Translation
O gathering! I know your names. Your name is not going to be overwhelmed by others. All the members who belong to you should be those who speak like Me, that is, to approve of Me. (2)
ए॒षाम॒हं स॒मासी॑नानां॒ वर्चो॑ वि॒ज्ञान॒मा द॑दे । अ॒स्याः सर्व॑स्याः सं॒सदो॒ मामि॑न्द्र भ॒गिनं॑ कृणु ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सभा में सामने बैठे हुए इन बोलने वालों के तेज और विज्ञान को मैं स्वीकार करता हूं. हे इंद्र! मुझे इस समुदाय में स्थित सभा का विजयी बनाओ. (३)
EN English Translation
I accept the speed and science of these speakers sitting in front of the meeting. O Indra! Make me the winner of the gathering located in this community. (3)
यद्वो॒ मनः॒ परा॑गतं॒ यद्ब॒द्धमि॒ह वे॒ह वा॑ । तद्व॒ आ व॑र्तयामसि॒ मयि॑ वो रमतां॒ मनः॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सभासदो! तुम्हारा जो मन हम से हट कर दूर चला गया है तथा जो मन इस विषय से संबंधित है, मैं तुम्हारे उस मन को अपने अनुकूल करता हूं. तुम्हारा मेरी ओर आया हुआ मन मेरे अनुकूल चिंतन करे. (४)
EN English Translation
O brothers! The mind of yours which has gone away from us and the mind which is related to this subject, I suit that mind of yours. May your mind come towards me think according to me. (4)
