Kanda 7 • Sukta 48
सिनी॑वालि॒ पृथु॑ष्टुके॒ या दे॒वाना॒मसि॒ स्वसा॑ । जु॒षस्व॑ ह॒व्यमाहु॑तं प्र॒जां दे॑वि दिदिड्ढि नः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सिनीवाली! अर्थात् ऐसी अमावस्या! जिस में चंद्रमा दिखाई नहीं देता है, तू बहुत से जनों द्वारा स्तुति की गई एवं देवों की बहन है. तू सामने डाले गए हव्य को स्वीकार कर तथा हमारे लिए पुत्र आदि के रूप में प्रजा प्रदान कर. (१)
EN English Translation
O Siniwali! That is, such a new moon! In which the moon is not visible, you have been praised by many people and are the sister of gods. Accept the desire put before you and give us people as sons etc. (1)
या सु॑बा॒हुः स्व॑ङ्गु॒रिः सु॒षूमा॑ बहु॒सूव॑री । तस्यै॑ वि॒श्पत्न्यै॑ ह॒विः सि॑नीवा॒ल्यै जु॑होतन ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सिनीवाली! तू सुंदर हाथ वाली, शोभन उंगलियों वाली, सुंदर प्रसव वाली तथा बहुत सी प्रजाओं को जन्म देने वाली है. हे ऋत्विजो तथा यजमानो! प्रजाओं का पालन करने वाली उस सिनीवाली के लिए हवि दो. (२)
EN English Translation
O Siniwali! You are beautiful-handed, beautiful-fingered, beautiful delivery and give birth to many subjects. O Ritvijo and the hosts! Give it to that sinivali who follows the subjects. (2)
या वि॒श्पत्नीन्द्र॒मसि॑ प्र॒तीची॑ स॒हस्र॑स्तुकाभि॒यन्ती॑ दे॒वी । विष्णोः॑ पत्नि॒ तुभ्यं॑ रा॒ता ह॒वींषि॒ पतिं॑ देवि॒ राध॑से चोदयस्व ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो सिनीवाली प्रजाओं का पालन करने वाली तथा परमैश्वर्य संपन्न इंद्र के सामने खड़ी होने वाली है तथा हजारों स्तोताओं द्वारा प्रशंसित एवं प्रकाशित होने वाली है. हे विष्णु अथवा इंद्र की पत्नी! तेरे लिए हवि दी गई है. हे देवी! तू प्रसन्न हो कर अपने पति इंद्र को हमें धन देने के लिए प्रेरित कर. (३)
EN English Translation
Which is going to stand in front of Indra, who follows the siniwali subjects and is going to be admired and illuminated by thousands of psalms. O wife of Vishnu or Indra! It has been given to you. O Goddess! Please encourage your husband Indra to give us money. (3)
