अश्वं॒ न त्वा॒ वार॑वन्तं व॒न्दध्या॑ अ॒ग्निं नमो॑भिः । स॒म्राज॑न्तमध्व॒राणा॑म् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि देव! तुम यज्ञ के सम्राट् एवं पूंछ वाले घोड़े के समान हो. हम स्तुतियों के द्वारा तुम्हारी वंदना करते है. (१)
EN English Translation
O God of agni! You are like the emperor of yajna and the tail horse. We worship you through praises. (1)
स घा॑ नः सू॒नुः शव॑सा पृ॒थुप्र॑गामा सु॒शेवः॑ । मी॒ढ्वाँ अ॒स्माकं॑ बभूयात् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अग्नि शक्ति के पुत्र और शीघ्र गमन करने वाले हैं, वे हमारे ऊपर प्रसन्न होकर हमें सुख दें और हमारी अभिलाषाओं की वर्षा करें. (२)
EN English Translation
The sons of the power of agni and the one who will soon go, may they be pleased with us, and give us happiness and shower our desires. (2)
स नो॑ दू॒राच्चा॒साच्च॒ नि मर्त्या॑दघा॒योः । पा॒हि सद॒मिद्वि॒श्वायुः॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम सर्वत्र गमन करने में समर्थ हो. तुम हमारा अनिष्ट करने वाले पापाचारी मनुष्यों से दूर एवं समीप देश में हमारी रक्षा करो. (३)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are able to travel everywhere. Protect us in the land near and away from the papacy who do us evil. (3)
इ॒ममू॒ षु त्वम॒स्माकं॑ स॒निं गा॑य॒त्रं नव्यां॑सम् । अग्ने॑ दे॒वेषु॒ प्र वो॑चः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! इस यज्ञ में उपस्थित हवि और नवीनतम गायत्री छंद में रचित स्तोत्र के विषय में देवों को बताना. (४)
EN English Translation
O agni! To tell the devas about the hymns composed in the latest Gayatri verses and the havi present in this yajna. (4)
आ नो॑ भज पर॒मेष्वा वाजे॑षु मध्य॒मेषु॑ । शिक्षा॒ वस्वो॒ अन्त॑मस्य ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! हमें दिव्यलोक तथा अंतरिक्षलोक का अन्न सब ओर से प्राप्त कराओ. तुम हमें भूलोक संबंधी धन भी प्रदान करो. (५)
EN English Translation
O agni! Give us the grain of the divine and the space world from all sides. You also provide us with forgetful funds. (5)
वि॒भ॒क्तासि॑ चित्रभानो॒ सिन्धो॑रू॒र्मा उ॑पा॒क आ । स॒द्यो दा॒शुषे॑ क्षरसि ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे विलक्षण प्रकाश वाले अग्नि देव! जिस प्रकार सिंधु की लहरें जल को सभी पर्वतों, नालियों आदि में भर देती हैं, उसी प्रकार तुम भी लोगों में धन का विभाग करने वाले हो. द्रव्य देने वाले यजमान को तुम कर्म का फल शीघ्र दो. (६)
EN English Translation
O god of agni with a wonderful light! Just as the waves of the Indus fill the water in all the mountains, drains, etc., so you are also going to divide the wealth among the people. Give the host who gives the matter the fruit of the deed quickly. (6)
यम॑ग्ने पृ॒त्सु मर्त्य॒मवा॒ वाजे॑षु॒ यं जु॒नाः । स यन्ता॒ शश्व॑ती॒रिषः॑ ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि देव! युद्भक्षेत्र में तुम जिस मनुष्य की रक्षा करते हो और तुम्हारी प्रेरणा से जो युद्भक्षेत्र में जाता है, वह नित्य ही अन्न प्राप्त करता रहेगा. (७)
EN English Translation
O God of agni! The man you protect in the battlefield and the one who goes to the battlefield by your inspiration will continue to receive food forever. (7)
नकि॑रस्य सहन्त्य पर्ये॒ता कय॑स्य चित् । वाजो॑ अस्ति श्र॒वाय्यः॑ ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि देव! तुम शत्रुओं का दमन करने वाले हो. तुम्हारे भक्त यजमान पर कोई आक्रमण नहीं कर सकता, क्योंकि उसके पास विशेष प्रकार की शक्ति है. (८)
EN English Translation
O God of agni! You are going to oppress the enemies. Your devotee cannot attack the host, because he has a special kind of power. (8)
स वाजं॑ वि॒श्वच॑र्षणि॒रर्व॑द्भिरस्तु॒ तरु॑ता । विप्रे॑भिरस्तु॒ सनि॑ता ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सारे मनुष्य अग्नि की पूजा करते हैं. उसने घोड़ों की सहायता से हमें युद्ध में सफलता दिलाई है. वह बुद्धिमान् ऋत्विजों को यज्ञकर्म का फल देने वाला हो. (९)
EN English Translation
All human beings worship agni. He has brought us success in the war with the help of horses. He is the one who will give the fruits of yajnakarma to the wise ritwijas. (9)
जरा॑बोध॒ तद्वि॑विड्ढि वि॒शेवि॑शे य॒ज्ञिया॑य । स्तोमं॑ रु॒द्राय॒ दृशी॑कम् ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि देव! हम प्रार्थना के द्वारा तुम्हें जगाते हैं. तुम भिन्नभिन्न यजमानों पर कृपा करके यज्ञ का अनुष्ठान पूर्ण करने के लिए यज्ञ में आओ. तुम क्रूर हो. यजमान सुंदर स्तोत्रों से तुम्हारी स्तुति करते हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
O God of agni! We wake you up by prayer. You please come to the yajna to complete the ritual of yajna by doing grace on different hosts. You're cruel. Hosts praise you with beautiful hymns. (10)
स नो॑ म॒हाँ अ॑निमा॒नो धू॒मके॑तुः पुरुश्च॒न्द्रः । धि॒ये वाजा॑य हिन्वतु ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अग्नि देव सीमारहित धूमकेतु वाले तथा महान् हैं. उनकी ज्योति विशाल है. वह हमारे यज्ञ और अन्न के लिए प्रसन्न हों. (११)
EN English Translation
The God of Agni is limitless, comet and great. His light is huge. May he be pleased for our yagya and food. (11)
स रे॒वाँ इ॑व वि॒श्पति॒र्दैव्यः॑ के॒तुः शृ॑णोतु नः । उ॒क्थैर॒ग्निर्बृ॒हद्भा॑नुः ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अन्नि प्रजापालक, देवताओं के होता, दूत के समान देवताओं का ज्ञापन करने वाले एवं स्तुति सुनने वाले हैं. उसी प्रकार अग्नि हमारी स्तुति सुनें. (१२)
EN English Translation
Anni Prajapalak is the one who belongs to the gods, like an angel, who chants the deities and listens to the praises. In the same way, agni listen to our praise. (12)
नमो॑ म॒हद्भ्यो॒ नमो॑ अर्भ॒केभ्यो॒ नमो॒ युव॑भ्यो॒ नम॑ आशि॒नेभ्यः॑ । यजा॑म दे॒वान्यदि॑ श॒क्नवा॑म॒ मा ज्याय॑सः॒ शंस॒मा वृ॑क्षि देवाः ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
बड़े, बालक, युवा एवं वृद्ध सभी देवताओं को हम नमस्कार करते हैं. यदि संभव होगा तो हम देवताओं की पूजा करेंगे. हम कहीं विशिष्ट गुणसंपन्न देवों की स्तुति करना न छोड़ दें. (१३)
EN English Translation
We salute all the gods, big, child, young and old. If possible, we will worship the gods. Let us not stop praising specific godly gods. (13)
