ममा॑ग्ने॒ वर्चो॑ विह॒वेष्व॑स्तु व॒यं त्वेन्धा॑नास्त॒न्वं॑ पुषेम । मह्यं॑ नमन्तां प्र॒दिश॒श्चत॑स्र॒स्त्वयाध्य॑क्षेण॒ पृत॑ना जयेम ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! संग्रामों में मेरा तेज उचित हो. हम तुम्हें प्रज्वलित करके अपने शरीर को पुष्ट करें. चारों दिशाएं मेरे लिए झुरे. तुम्हें अध्यक्ष बनाकर हम शत्रु सेनाओं को जीते. (१)
EN English Translation
O agni! My speed in the battles may be justified. We reinforce your body by igniting you. All four directions wrinkled for me. By making you president, we conquer enemy armies. (1)
मम॑ दे॒वा वि॑ह॒वे स॑न्तु॒ सर्व॒ इन्द्र॑वन्तो म॒रुतो॒ विष्णु॑र॒ग्निः । ममा॒न्तरि॑क्षमु॒रुलो॑कमस्तु॒ मह्यं॒ वातः॑ पवतां॒ कामे॑ अ॒स्मिन् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र सहित सब देव, मरुत्, विष्णु और अग्ने युद्ध में मेरा साथ दें. अंतरिक्ष के समान विस्तृत लोक मेरा हो तथा वायु मेरी अभिलाषा के अनुसार चलकर मुझे पवित्र करें. (२)
EN English Translation
May all the gods, including Indra, Marut, Vishnu and Agne join me in the war. Let the people as wide as space be mine and let the air go according to my desire and sanctify me. (2)
मयि॑ दे॒वा द्रवि॑ण॒मा य॑जन्तां॒ मय्या॒शीर॑स्तु॒ मयि॑ दे॒वहू॑तिः । दैव्या॒ होता॑रो वनुषन्त॒ पूर्वेऽरि॑ष्टाः स्याम त॒न्वा॑ सु॒वीराः॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
देवगण मुझ स्तोता को धन दें. मैं यज्ञफल प्राप्त करूं एवं देवों को बुलाऊं. प्राचीन काल में देवों के लिए हवन करने वाले मेरे अनुकूल हों. मैं शरीर से निरोग एवं शोभन संतान वाला बनूं. (३)
EN English Translation
Devgan give money to my hymn. I will get the yajnaphal and call the gods. In ancient times, those who performed havan for the gods be compatible with me. I should be a healthy and healthy child from the body. (3)
मह्यं॑ यजन्तु॒ मम॒ यानि॑ ह॒व्याकू॑तिः स॒त्या मन॑सो मे अस्तु । एनो॒ मा नि गां॑ कत॒मच्च॒नाहं विश्वे॑ देवासो॒ अधि॑ वोचता नः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मेरे ऋत्विज् मेरे हव्य आदि का यजन मेरे कल्याण के लिए करें. मेरा मनोरथ पूर्ण हो. मैं किसी भी पाप को न करूं, सभी देव मुझे आशीर्वाद दें. (४)
EN English Translation
Please use my rituals for my welfare, etc. for my welfare. My mind is complete. I do not commit any sin, may all gods bless me. (4)
देवीः॑ षळुर्वीरु॒रु नः॑ कृणोत॒ विश्वे॑ देवास इ॒ह वी॑रयध्वम् । मा हा॑स्महि प्र॒जया॒ मा त॒नूभि॒र्मा र॑धाम द्विष॒ते सो॑म राजन् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
छः विशाल देवियां मेरी उन्नति करें. हे सब देवो! मेरे यज्ञ में वीरता का कार्य करो. मैं शरीर और प्रजा संबंधी कोई हानि न उठाउं. हे राजा सोम! हम शत्रु के सामने न हारें. (५)
EN English Translation
Six giant ladies make me progress. Oh, all gods! Do the act of valour in my yajna. I do not suffer any harm related to the body and the people. O King Mon! Let's not lose in front of the enemy. (5)
अग्ने॑ म॒न्युं प्र॑तिनु॒दन्परे॑षा॒मद॑ब्धो गो॒पाः परि॑ पाहि न॒स्त्वम् । प्र॒त्यञ्चो॑ यन्तु नि॒गुतः॒ पुन॒स्ते॒३॒॑ऽमैषां॑ चि॒त्तं प्र॒बुधां॒ वि ने॑शत् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम शत्रुओं का क्रोध व्यर्थ करके अपराजेय बनकर हमारी रक्षा करो. शत्रु अपने उद्देश्य में असफल होकर लौटे. यदि शत्रुओं के पास बुद्धि हो तो नष्ट हो जाए. (६)
EN English Translation
O agni! You must waste the wrath of your enemies and protect us by becoming unbeatable. The enemy returned unsuccessfully in his aim. If the enemies have the wisdom, it will be destroyed. (6)
धा॒ता धा॑तॄ॒णां भुव॑नस्य॒ यस्पति॑र्दे॒वं त्रा॒तार॑मभिमातिषा॒हम् । इ॒मं य॒ज्ञम॒श्विनो॒भा बृह॒स्पति॑र्दे॒वाः पा॑न्तु॒ यज॑मानं न्य॒र्थात् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं सृष्टिकर्तताओं के स्रष्टा, सकल भुवन के रक्षक, दिव्य, सब भयों से छुड़ाने वाले एवं शत्रुपराभवकारी सविता की स्तुति करता हूं. अश्विनीकुमार एवं बृहस्पति! इस यज्ञ तथा यजमान की पाप से रक्षा करें. (७)
EN English Translation
I praise savita, the creator of the creators, the protector of the gross universe, the divine, the redeemer of all fears and the enemy. Ashwinikumar and Jupiter! Protect this yajna and host from sin. (7)
उ॒रु॒व्यचा॑ नो महि॒षः शर्म॑ यंसद॒स्मिन्हवे॑ पुरुहू॒तः पु॑रु॒क्षुः । स नः॑ प्र॒जायै॑ हर्यश्व मृळ॒येन्द्र॒ मा नो॑ रीरिषो॒ मा परा॑ दाः ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
परम विस्तृत, पूज्य, बहुतों द्वारा बुलाए गए व अनेक निवासस्थानों वाले इंद्र इस यज्ञ में हमें कल्याण दें. हे हरि नामक अश्वों वाले इंद्र! तुम हमारी संतान को सुखी करो, हमारी हिंसा मत करो और हमें मत त्यागो. (८)
EN English Translation
May Indra, the most elaborate, revered, called by many and having many abodes, give us welfare in this yajna. O Indra with horses called Hari! Please our children, do not do our violence and do not forsake us. (8)
ये नः॑ स॒पत्ना॒ अप॒ ते भ॑वन्त्विन्द्रा॒ग्निभ्या॒मव॑ बाधामहे॒ तान् । वस॑वो रु॒द्रा आ॑दि॒त्या उ॑परि॒स्पृशं॑ मो॒ग्रं चेत्ता॑रमधिरा॒जम॑क्रन् ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो हमारे शत्रु हैं, वे दूर चले जावें. हम इंद्र और अग्नि की सहायता से उन्हें बाधा पहुंचावें. वसु, रुद्र और आदित्य मुझे सर्वश्रेष्ठ उन्नत शक्ति वाला चेतनायुक्त सर्वज्ञ एवं सबका स्वामी बनावे. (९)
EN English Translation
Those who are our enemies should go away. Let us hinder them with the help of Indra and Agni. Vasu, Rudra and Aditya make me the most conscious, omniscient and master of all with the best advanced power. (9)
