भ॒द्रं नो॒ अपि॑ वातय॒ मनो॒ दक्ष॑मु॒त क्रतु॑म् । अधा॑ ते स॒ख्ये अन्ध॑सो॒ वि वो॒ मदे॒ रण॒न्गावो॒ न यव॑से॒ विव॑क्षसे ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! हमारे मन को प्रेरित करके कल्याणकारी, दक्ष एवं यज्ञकर्म करने वाला बनाओ. तुम महान् हो, इसलिए तुम्हारा होने पर स्तोता तुम्हारी मित्रता में उसी प्रकार रमण करे, जिस प्रकार गाएं घास के प्रति आनंदित होती हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! Make our mind motivated to be well-being, efficient and perform yajnakarma. You are great, so when you are, let the stota delight in your friendship in the same way that the cows are happy with the grass. (1)
हृ॒दि॒स्पृश॑स्त आसते॒ विश्वे॑षु सोम॒ धाम॑सु । अधा॒ कामा॑ इ॒मे मम॒ वि वो॒ मदे॒ वि ति॑ष्ठन्ते वसू॒यवो॒ विव॑क्षसे ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! स्तोता लोग अपनी स्तुतियों से तुम्हारे मन को हरते हुए सब स्थानों पर बैठते हैं. तुम्हारा नशा हो जाने पर धन के इच्छुक मेरे मन में तरहतरह की अभिलाषाएं उत्पन्न होती हैं, इसलिए तुम महान् हो. (२)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! The Stotas sit in all places, defeating your mind with their praises. When you become intoxicated, there are different kinds of desires in my mind, who are interested in money, so you are great. (2)
उ॒त व्र॒तानि॑ सोम ते॒ प्राहं मि॑नामि पा॒क्या॑ । अधा॑ पि॒तेव॑ सू॒नवे॒ वि वो॒ मदे॑ मृ॒ळा नो॑ अ॒भि चि॑द्व॒धाद्विव॑क्षसे ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! मैं अपनी परिपक्व बुद्धि से तुम्हारे यज्ञकर्मो का परिणाम देखता हूं. हे सोमरस! तुम अपना नशा चढ़ने पर हमारे प्रति उसी प्रकार अनुकूल बनो, जिस प्रकार पिता पुत्र के प्रति अनुकूल होता है. तुम शत्रुवध करके हमारी रक्षा करो, वयोंकि तुम महान् हो. (३)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! I see the result of your yajnakarma with my mature wisdom. O Somras! Be friendly to us when you are intoxicated, just as the Father is favorable to the Son. Protect us by hostile, for you are great. (3)
समु॒ प्र य॑न्ति धी॒तयः॒ सर्गा॑सोऽव॒ताँ इ॑व । क्रतुं॑ नः सोम जी॒वसे॒ वि वो॒ मदे॑ धा॒रया॑ चम॒साँ इ॑व॒ विव॑क्षसे ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! कलश जल निकालने के लिए जैसे कुएं में जाता है, वैसे ही हमारी स्तुतियां तुम्हारे पास जाती हैं. तुम महान् हो, इसलिए हमारे जीवन के निमित्त इस यज्ञ को इस प्रकार धारण करो, जिस प्रकार लोग चमस को धारण करते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! Just as the urn goes into the well to draw water, so do our praises go to you. You are great, so for the sake of our lives, hold this yajna in the same way that people wear a spoon. (4)
तव॒ त्ये सो॑म॒ शक्ति॑भि॒र्निका॑मासो॒ व्यृ॑ण्विरे । गृत्स॑स्य॒ धीरा॑स्त॒वसो॒ वि वो॒ मदे॑ व्र॒जं गोम॑न्तम॒श्विनं॒ विव॑क्षसे ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! निश्चित अभिलाषाओं वाले धीर व्यक्तियों ने यज्ञकर्म द्वारा तुम्हें संतुष्ट किया है. तुम महान् एवं बुद्धिमान् हो. तुम सोमरस का नशा होने पर हमें गायों से युक्त गोशाला एवं घोड़े दो, क्योंकि तुम महान् हो. (५)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! Patient people with certain desires have satisfied you by performing yajnakarma. You are great and intelligent. If you are intoxicated with Somras, give us a goshala and horse with cows, because you are great. (5)
प॒शुं नः॑ सोम रक्षसि पुरु॒त्रा विष्ठि॑तं॒ जग॑त् । स॒माकृ॑णोषि जी॒वसे॒ वि वो॒ मदे॒ विश्वा॑ स॒म्पश्य॒न्भुव॑ना॒ विव॑क्षसे ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! हमारे पशुओं एवं नानारूप में स्थित इस विश्व की रक्षा करो. तुम सोमरस का मद होने पर सारे जगत् में खोजकर हमारे जीवन के लिए आवश्यक वस्तुएं ला देते हो, इसलिए तुम महान् हो. (६)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! Protect our animals and this world in diversity. When you are the item of Someras, you search all over the world and bring the necessary things for our lives, so you are great. (6)
त्वं नः॑ सोम वि॒श्वतो॑ गो॒पा अदा॑भ्यो भव । सेध॑ राज॒न्नप॒ स्रिधो॒ वि वो॒ मदे॒ मा नो॑ दुः॒शंस॑ ईशता॒ विव॑क्षसे ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अपराजेय सोम! तुम सभी प्रकार से हमारी रक्षा करने वाले बनो. हे राजा सोम! तुम हमारे शत्रुओं को दूर करो. सोम का नशा होने पर निंदक हमारा स्वामी न बने, इसलिए तुम महान् हो. (७)
EN English Translation
O unbeatable Mon! You be the one to protect us in all respects. O King Mon! You remove our enemies. When som is drunk, the blasphemer should not become our master, so you are great. (7)
त्वं नः॑ सोम सु॒क्रतु॑र्वयो॒धेया॑य जागृहि । क्षे॒त्र॒वित्त॑रो॒ मनु॑षो॒ वि वो॒ मदे॑ द्रु॒हो नः॑ पा॒ह्यंह॑सो॒ विव॑क्षसे ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शोभन कर्म वाले सोम! तुम हमें अन्न देने के लिए सावधान रहो. तुम खेत देने वालों में उत्तम हो. सोम का नशा होने पर तुम शत्रु मनुष्य एवं पाप से हमारी रक्षा करो, क्योंकि तुम महान् हो. (८)
EN English Translation
O Sobhan Karma Wale Mon! Be careful to give us food. You are the best of farm givers. When you are intoxicated with Soma, protect us from enemy man and sin, for you are great. (8)
त्वं नो॑ वृत्रहन्त॒मेन्द्र॑स्येन्दो शि॒वः सखा॑ । यत्सीं॒ हव॑न्ते समि॒थे वि वो॒ मदे॒ युध्य॑मानास्तो॒कसा॑तौ॒ विव॑क्षसे ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शत्रुहंताओं में श्रेष्ठ सोम! अत्यंत महान् संग्राम में युद्ध करते हुए शत्रु जब सब ओर से ललकारते हैं, तब तुम हमारी रक्षा करो. तुम इंद्र के कल्याणकारक मित्र हो. तुम विशेष मद के कारण महान् हो. (९)
EN English Translation
O Mon the best of the enemies! When the enemies challenge from all sides while fighting in the great war, then protect us. You are indra's best friend. You are great because of the particular item. (9)
अ॒यं घ॒ स तु॒रो मद॒ इन्द्र॑स्य वर्धत प्रि॒यः । अ॒यं क॒क्षीव॑तो म॒हो वि वो॒ मदे॑ म॒तिं विप्र॑स्य वर्धय॒द्विव॑क्षसे ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सोम शीघ्र काम करने वाले, नशीले एवं इंद्र को तृप्ति देने वाले हैं. वे हमारी बुद्धि को बढ़ावें. सोम ने महान् मेधावी कक्षीवान् ऋषि की बुद्धि को बढ़ाया था. वे विशेष मद के कारण महान् हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
Som is a quick worker, a drug addict and a satiating agent to Indra. They increase our intelligence. Som had enhanced the wisdom of the great meritorious Kandhivan rishi. They are great because of the particular item. (10)
अ॒यं विप्रा॑य दा॒शुषे॒ वाजा॑ँ इयर्ति॒ गोम॑तः । अ॒यं स॒प्तभ्य॒ आ वरं॒ वि वो॒ मदे॒ प्रान्धं श्रो॒णं च॑ तारिष॒द्विव॑क्षसे ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सोम बुद्धिमान् यजमान को पशुयुक्त अन्न देते हैं. एवं सात होताओं को उत्तम धन प्रदान करते हैं. सोम ने अंधे दीर्घतमा ऋषि को आंखें देकर और लंगड़े परावृज ऋषि को पैर देकर विशेष रूप से बढ़ाया था. सोम विशेष मद के कारण महान् हैं. (११)
EN English Translation
Som gives animal-rich food to the wise man. And give the best money to the seven. Som had specially extended the blind long-term by giving eyes to the sage and giving legs to the lame paravraja sage. The reasons for the Mon special item are great. (11)
