प्र वो॑ म॒हे मन्द॑माना॒यान्ध॒सोऽर्चा॑ वि॒श्वान॑राय विश्वा॒भुवे॑ । इन्द्र॑स्य॒ यस्य॒ सुम॑खं॒ सहो॒ महि॒ श्रवो॑ नृ॒म्णं च॒ रोद॑सी सप॒र्यतः॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तोता! सबके नेता, सबको बनाने वाले, महान् एवं सोम से प्रसन्न होने वाले इंद्र की अर्चना करो. इंद्र के प्रशंसनीय बल, महान् अन्न और सुख की पूजा द्यावा-पृथिवी करते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
This is the hymn! Worship Indra, the leader of all, the creator of all, the great and the one who is pleased with Som. Indra's admirable forces worship the great food and happiness. (1)
सो चि॒न्नु सख्या॒ नर्य॑ इ॒नः स्तु॒तश्च॒र्कृत्य॒ इन्द्रो॒ माव॑ते॒ नरे॑ । विश्वा॑सु धू॒र्षु वा॑ज॒कृत्ये॑षु सत्पते वृ॒त्रे वा॒प्स्व१॒॑भि शू॑र मन्दसे ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मित्रता के कारण मनुष्यों के हितैषी, सबके ईश्वर, सबके द्वारा प्रशंसित इंद्र मुझ जैसे व्यक्ति द्वारा बार-बार सेवनीय हैं. हे सज्जनों के पालक एवं शूर इंद्र! सभी कठिन कार्यो एवं शक्ति द्वारा संपन्न होने वाले करमो में तथा जलप्राप्ति के लिए सब तुम्हारी पूजा करते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
Because of friendship, the benefactor of man, the God of all, the admired Indra by all, is repeatedly consumed by a person like me. O the guardian and knight of the gentlemen Indra! In all the hard work and power that is accomplished and for the sake of water, everyone worships you. (2)
के ते नर॑ इन्द्र॒ ये त॑ इ॒षे ये ते॑ सु॒म्नं स॑ध॒न्य१॒॑मिय॑क्षान् । के ते॒ वाजा॑यासु॒र्या॑य हिन्विरे॒ के अ॒प्सु स्वासू॒र्वरा॑सु॒ पौंस्ये॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! वे महान् लोग कौन हैं जो तुमसे अन्न, धनसहित सुख एवं कल्याण प्राप्त करते हैं? तुम्हें असुरविनाश योग्य शक्ति प्रदान करने वाला सोमरस देने वाले लोग कीन हैं? अपनी उपजाऊ भूमियों पर वर्षा का जल एवं बल पाने के लिए तुम्हें हवि देने वाले लोग कौन हैं? (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Who are the great people who receive from you happiness and well-being, including food, money? Who are the people who give you the somarahs that give you the power of asuras? Who are the people who give you the power to get rain water and strength on your fertile lands? (3)
भुव॒स्त्वमि॑न्द्र॒ ब्रह्म॑णा म॒हान्भुवो॒ विश्वे॑षु॒ सव॑नेषु य॒ज्ञियः॑ । भुवो॒ नॄँश्च्यौ॒त्नो विश्व॑स्मि॒न्भरे॒ ज्येष्ठ॑श्च॒ मन्त्रो॑ विश्वचर्षणे ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम हमारी स्तुति से महान् बने हो. तुम सभी यज्ञां में यज्ञ का भाग पाने के योग्य हो. तुम सभी युद्धों में शत्रुओं को हराने वाले बने हो. हे सबके दर्शक इंद्र! तुम सर्वोत्तम मंत्र के समान हो. (४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You have become great by our praise. You are worthy of getting the part of the yajna in all the yagnas. You have become the one who defeats enemies in all wars. O all the audience Indra! You are like the best mantra. (4)
अवा॒ नु कं॒ ज्याया॑न्य॒ज्ञव॑नसो म॒हीं त॒ ओमा॑त्रां कृ॒ष्टयो॑ विदुः । असो॒ नु क॑म॒जरो॒ वर्धा॑श्च॒ विश्वेदे॒ता सव॑ना तूतु॒मा कृ॑षे ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सर्वोत्तम इंद्र! तुम स्तोताओं की शीघ्र रक्षा करो. मनुष्य तुम्हारी महती रक्षाशक्ति को जानते हैं. तुम जरारहित होकर हवि आदि से शीघ्र बढ़ो एवं इन सभी यज्ञों को शीघ्र पूर्ण करो. (५)
EN English Translation
O the best Indra! You protect the stoes quickly. Human beings know your great defense power. You must grow quickly from the havi etc. without a jarring and complete all these yajnas quickly. (5)
ए॒ता विश्वा॒ सव॑ना तूतु॒मा कृ॑षे स्व॒यं सू॑नो सहसो॒ यानि॑ दधि॒षे । वरा॑य ते॒ पात्रं॒ धर्म॑णे॒ तना॑ य॒ज्ञो मन्त्रो॒ ब्रह्मोद्य॑तं॒ वचः॑ ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शक्ति के पुत्र इंद्र! तुम जिन यज्ञों को धारण करते हो, उन्हें शीघ्र ही पूर्ण करते हो. हे श्रुनाशकर्ता इंद्र! तुम्हारा पात्र हमारी रक्षा करे, तुम्हारा धन हमको धारण करे एवं यज्ञ, मंत्र और ब्रह्मवाक्य तुम्हारे समीप उपस्थित हों. (६)
EN English Translation
O son of power Indra! The yajnas you hold, you quickly complete them. O Lord Indra! May your character protect us, may your wealth hold us, and let the yagna, mantra and brahma sentence be present near you. (6)
ये ते॑ विप्र ब्रह्म॒कृतः॑ सु॒ते सचा॒ वसू॑नां च॒ वसु॑नश्च दा॒वने॑ । प्र ते सु॒म्नस्य॒ मन॑सा प॒था भु॑व॒न्मदे॑ सु॒तस्य॑ सो॒म्यस्यान्ध॑सः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मेधावी इंद्र! जो स्तोता विविध धन एवं निवासस्थान पाने की इच्छा से सोमरस निचुड़ जाने पर तुम्हारी सेवा करते हैं, वे उस समय मनोमार्ग से सुख पाने के अधिकारी बनते हैं. निचुड़े हुए सोमरस का नशा उन्हें चढ़ जाता है. (७)
EN English Translation
O bright Indra! The stotas who serve you when they go to Somers Nikud with the desire to get various wealth and a place of residence, they become entitled to get happiness through the way of mind at that time. The intoxication of the uninvited Somras gets them up. (7)
