प्र घा॒ न्व॑स्य मह॒तो म॒हानि॑ स॒त्या स॒त्यस्य॒ कर॑णानि वोचम् । त्रिक॑द्रुकेष्वपिबत्सु॒तस्या॒स्य मदे॒ अहि॒मिन्द्रो॑ जघान ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं बलवान्, महान् एवं सत्य-संकल्प इंद्र के सच्चे एवं विस्तृत यज्ञ का वर्णन करता हूं. इंदर ने त्रिकद्रुक यज्ञ में सोमरस का पान किया एवं उसका मद हो जाने पर वृत्र असुर का नाश किया. (१)
EN English Translation
I describe the true and elaborate yajna of The Balvan, the Great and the True Resolution Indra. Inder drank somras in the Trikadruk yajna and destroyed the Vritra Asura when it became an item. (1)
अ॒वं॒शे द्याम॑स्तभायद्बृ॒हन्त॒मा रोद॑सी अपृणद॒न्तरि॑क्षम् । स धा॑रयत्पृथि॒वीं प॒प्रथ॑च्च॒ सोम॑स्य॒ ता मद॒ इन्द्र॑श्चकार ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र ने आकाश में प्रकाश वाले सूर्य को स्थिर किया है तथा स्वर्ग, धरती एवं आकाश को अपने तेज से पूर्ण कर दिया है. उन्होंने पृथ्वी को धारण करके सिद्ध बनाया है. इंद्र ने यह कार्य सोमरस के नशे में किया है. (२)
EN English Translation
Indra has set the sun with light in the sky and has completed the heavens, the earth and the sky with his brightness. They have made the earth perfect by holding it. Indra has done this work in the drunkenness of Somras. (2)
सद्मे॑व॒ प्राचो॒ वि मि॑माय॒ मानै॒र्वज्रे॑ण॒ खान्य॑तृणन्न॒दीना॑म् । वृथा॑सृजत्प॒थिभि॑र्दीर्घया॒थैः सोम॑स्य॒ ता मद॒ इन्द्र॑श्चकार ॥ (३)

जिस प्रकार यज्ञशाला बनाई जाती है, उसी प्रकार इंद्र ने पूर्वाभिमुख प्रविश्व को नापकर बनाया है. उन्होंने अपने वज्र से नदियों के निर्गम स्थानों को खोल दिया है. इंद्र ने नदियों को ऐसे मार्गो पर बहाया है जो बहुत समय तक चलते रहते हैं. इंद्र ने यह सब सोम के नशे में किया है. (३)
EN English Translation
Just as the yajnashala is built, indra has made it by measuring the eastward pravasav. They have opened the outlets of the rivers with their thunderbolt. Indra has flown the rivers on routes that last for a long time. Indra has done all this in som's drunkenness. (3)
स प्र॑वो॒ळ्हॄन्प॑रि॒गत्या॑ द॒भीते॒र्विश्व॑मधा॒गायु॑धमि॒द्धे अ॒ग्नौ । सं गोभि॒रश्वै॑रसृज॒द्रथे॑भिः॒ सोम॑स्य॒ ता मद॒ इन्द्र॑श्चकार ॥ (४)

दभीति को उसके नगर से बाहर ले जाने वाले असुरों को इंद्र ने मार्ग में रोका एवं उनके प्रकाशमान आयुधों को आग में जला दिया. इसके पश्चात् इंद्र ने उन्हें बहुत सी गाएं, घोड़े तथा रथ प्रदान किए. इंद्र ने यह सब सोमरस के नशे में किया. (४)
EN English Translation
Indra stopped the asuras who had taken Dabhiti out of his city on the way and burned their shining weapons in the agni. After this Indra gave them many cows, horses and chariots. Indra did all this in the drunkenness of the Somras. (4)
स ईं॑ म॒हीं धुनि॒मेतो॑ररम्णा॒त्सो अ॑स्ना॒तॄन॑पारयत्स्व॒स्ति । त उ॒त्स्नाय॑ र॒यिम॒भि प्र त॑स्थुः॒ सोम॑स्य॒ ता मद॒ इन्द्र॑श्चकार ॥ (५)

इंद्र ने धुनि नामक विशाल नदी को इतना सुखा दिया कि सरलता से पार किया जा सके. इस प्रकार उन्होंने नदी पार करने में असमर्थ ऋषियों को सरलता से पार उतार दिया. वे ऋषि धन के उद्देश्य से नदी के पार गए. इंद्र ने यह सब काम सोमरस के नशे में किया था. (५)
EN English Translation
Indra dried up a huge river called Dhuni so that it could be easily crossed. Thus he easily crossed the sages who were unable to cross the river. They went across the river for the purpose of sage wealth. Indra did all this work in the drunkenness of the Somras. (5)
सोद॑ञ्चं॒ सिन्धु॑मरिणान्महि॒त्वा वज्रे॒णान॑ उ॒षसः॒ सं पि॑पेष । अ॒ज॒वसो॑ ज॒विनी॑भिर्विवृ॒श्चन्सोम॑स्य॒ ता मद॒ इन्द्र॑श्चकार ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र ने अपने महत्त्व के कारण सिंधु नदी को उत्तर मुख करके बहाया तथा वज्र द्वारा उषा की गाड़ी को सूरचूर कर दिया. इंद्र ने अपनी शक्तिशाली सेना द्वारा शत्रुओं की बलहीन सेना को हराया. ये सब काम सोमरस के नशे में किए गए हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
Indra, due to his importance, swept the Indus river north and made Usha's car go awry by thunderbolt. Indra defeated the mighty army of enemies by his powerful army. All these things have been done under the intoxication of somras. (6)
स वि॒द्वाँ अ॑पगो॒हं क॒नीना॑मा॒विर्भव॒न्नुद॑तिष्ठत्परा॒वृक् । प्रति॑ श्रो॒णः स्था॒द्व्य१॒॑नग॑चष्ट॒ सोम॑स्य॒ ता मद॒ इन्द्र॑श्चकार ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
विवाह की इच्छा से आई हुई कन्याओं को भागता हुआ देखकर परावृज ऋषि सबके सामने खड़े हुए. इंद्र की कृपा से वह पंगु दौड़ा और अंधा होकर भी देखने लगा. इंद्र ने यह सब सोमरस के मद में किया है. (७)
EN English Translation
Seeing the girls who had come with the desire to get married running away, the sage Parvavija stood in front of everyone. By the grace of Indra, he ran paralysed and looked blindly. Indra has done all this in the name of Somras. (7)
भि॒नद्व॒लमङ्गि॑रोभिर्गृणा॒नो वि पर्व॑तस्य दृंहि॒तान्यै॑रत् । रि॒णग्रोधां॑सि कृ॒त्रिमा॑ण्येषां॒ सोम॑स्य॒ ता मद॒ इन्द्र॑श्चकार ॥ (८)

अंगिरावंशीय ऋषियों की स्तुति सुनकर इंद्र ने बल असुर को मार डाला एवं पर्वत के दृढ़ द्वार को खोल दिया था. इंद्र ने पर्वतों की कृत्रिम बाधा को समाप्त किया. यह सब सोमरस के मद में किया गया. (८)
EN English Translation
On hearing the praises of the Angiravanshi sages, Indra killed the force asura and opened the fortified door of the mountain. Indra eliminated the artificial barrier of the mountains. All this was done in the item of somras. (8)
स्वप्ने॑ना॒भ्युप्या॒ चुमु॑रिं॒ धुनिं॑ च ज॒घन्थ॒ दस्युं॒ प्र द॒भीति॑मावः । र॒म्भी चि॒दत्र॑ विविदे॒ हिर॑ण्यं॒ सोम॑स्य॒ ता मद॒ इन्द्र॑श्चकार ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुमने चुमुरि और धुनि नामक असुरों को गाढ़ी नींद में सुला कर मार डाला था एवं दभीति नामक ऋषि की रक्षा की. दभीति के द्वारपाल ने भी उन दोनों असुरों का सोना प्राप्त किया था. इंद्र ने यह काम सोमरस के मद में किया था. (९)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You killed the asuras named Chumuri and Dhuni in a deep sleep and protected the sage named Dabhiti. The gatekeeper of Dabhiti also received the gold of those two asuras. Indra did this work in the name of Somras. (9)
नू॒नं सा ते॒ प्रति॒ वरं॑ जरि॒त्रे दु॑ही॒यदि॑न्द्र॒ दक्षि॑णा म॒घोनी॑ । शिक्षा॑ स्तो॒तृभ्यो॒ माति॑ ध॒ग्भगो॑ नो बृ॒हद्व॑देम वि॒दथे॑ सु॒वीराः॑ ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम्हारी जो धनपूर्ण दक्षिणा स्तुतिकर्तता की अभिलाषा पूर्ण करती है, वह हमें प्राप्त हो. हे भजनीय इंद्र! हम स्तोताओं को छोड़कर उसे किसी अन्य को मत देना. हम उत्तम पुत्र, पौत्र आदि प्राप्त करके इस यज्ञ में तुम्हारी बहुत स्तुति करेंगे. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Indra! May we receive the rich south that fulfills your desire for praise. O psalmist Indra! We don't give it to anyone else except the psalms. We will praise you a lot in this yajna by getting the best son, grandson, etc. (10)
