अ॒स्माकं॑ मित्रावरुणावतं॒ रथ॑मादि॒त्यै रु॒द्रैर्वसु॑भिः सचा॒भुवा॑ । प्र यद्वयो॒ न पप्त॒न्वस्म॑न॒स्परि॑ श्रव॒स्यवो॒ हृषी॑वन्तो वन॒र्षदः॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मित्र एवं वरुण! जब हमारा रथ अन्न के इच्छुक, हर्षयुक्त एवं वनवासी पक्षियों के समान हमारे निवासस्थान से दूसरे स्थान को जाये, तब तुम आदित्यों, रुद्रों तथा वसुओं के साथ मिलकर उस रथ की रक्षा करना. (१)
EN English Translation
Oh my friend and Varun! When our chariot moves from our abode to another place like food-seeking, joyful and forest-dwelling birds, you, along with the Adityas, Rudras and Vasus, protect that chariot. (1)
अध॑ स्मा न॒ उद॑वता सजोषसो॒ रथं॑ देवासो अ॒भि वि॒क्षु वा॑ज॒युम् । यदा॒शवः॒ पद्या॑भि॒स्तित्र॑तो॒ रजः॑ पृथि॒व्याः सानौ॒ जङ्घ॑नन्त पा॒णिभिः॑ ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे समान रूप से प्रसन्न देवो! इस समय जनपदों में अन्न की खोज में गए हुए हमारे रथ को गतिशील बनाओ, क्योंकि इस रथ में जुड़े हुए घोड़े अपनी गतियों से मार्ग तय करते हैं एवं उठी हुई धरती पर अपने खुरों से बहुत तेज चलते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
O gods of equal delight! At this time, make our chariots in motion in search of food in the districts, because the horses connected in this chariot travel the way with their own speeds and walk very fast with their hooves on the raised earth. (2)
उ॒त स्य न॒ इन्द्रो॑ वि॒श्वच॑र्षणिर्दि॒वः शर्धे॑न॒ मारु॑तेन सु॒क्रतुः॑ । अनु॒ नु स्था॑त्यवृ॒काभि॑रू॒तिभी॒ रथं॑ म॒हे स॒नये॒ वाज॑सातये ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अथवा समस्त लोक को देखने वाले एवं मरुद्गण की शक्ति से उत्तम कर्म करने वाले इंद्र हिंसारहित रक्षासाधनों के साथ स्वर्ग से आकर अधिक धन और अन्न को पाने के लिए अनुकूल बनें. (३)
EN English Translation
Or, indra, who sees all the people and does good deeds with the power of the deserts, should come from heaven with violence-free defense means and be friendly to get more wealth and food. (3)
उ॒त स्य दे॒वो भुव॑नस्य स॒क्षणि॒स्त्वष्टा॒ ग्नाभिः॑ स॒जोषा॑ जूजुव॒द्रथ॑म् । इळा॒ भगो॑ बृहद्दि॒वोत रोद॑सी पू॒षा पुरं॑धिर॒श्विना॒वधा॒ पती॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अथवा संपूर्ण विश्व के पूज्य त्वष्टा देव देवपत्नियों के साथ मिलकर प्रेमपूर्वक हमारे उक्त रथ को आगे बढ़ावें. इड़ा, परम तेजस्वी भग, धरती आकाश, परमबुद्धियुक्त पूषा एवं सूर्या के पति अश्विनीकुमार हमारा रथ चलाएं. (४)
EN English Translation
Or, together with the revered gods and goddesses of the whole world, let us move forward our said chariot with love. Ida, the most glorious Bhaga, the earth sky, the most intelligent Pusha and Surya's husband Ashwini Kumar, drive our chariot. (4)
उ॒त त्ये दे॒वी सु॒भगे॑ मिथू॒दृशो॒षासा॒नक्ता॒ जग॑तामपी॒जुवा॑ । स्तु॒षे यद्वां॑ पृथिवि॒ नव्य॑सा॒ वचः॑ स्था॒तुश्च॒ वय॒स्त्रिव॑या उप॒स्तिरे॑ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अथवा प्रसिद्ध देवियां, सुंदर, एक-दूसरे को देखने वाली एवं चलने वाले जीवों की प्रेरक उषा और निशा हमारे रथ को चलावे. हे धरती और आकाश! मैं तुम्हारी नवीन वचनों से स्तुति करता हूं एवं ओषधि, सोम तथा पशु तीन प्रकार के अन्नों के साथ स्थावर हव्य प्रदान करता हूं. (५)
EN English Translation
Or the famous goddesses, the beautiful, the inspirations of each other's seeing and moving creatures, Usha and Nisha, drive our chariot. O earth and sky! I praise you with new words and provide a good fortune with three types of food grains, herbs, mons, and animals. (5)
उ॒त वः॒ शंस॑मु॒शिजा॑मिव श्म॒स्यहि॑र्बु॒ध्न्यो॒३॒॑ऽज एक॑पादु॒त । त्रि॒त ऋ॑भु॒क्षाः स॑वि॒ता चनो॑ दधे॒ऽपां नपा॑दाशु॒हेमा॑ धि॒या शमि॑ ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे देवो! हम तुम्हारी स्तुति करने के इच्छुक हैं. तुम हमारी स्तुति को पंसद करो. अहिर्बुध्य, अजएकपात, सविता, ऋभुक्षा एवं त्रित हमें अन्न दें. जल के नाती, शीघ्रगामी अग्नि हमारे यज्ञकर्म से प्रसन्न हों. (६)
EN English Translation
O God! We are willing to praise you. You like our praise. Give us food, Ahirbudhya, Ajekpat, Savita, Ribhuksha and Trit. Grandson of water, the fast-moving agni, be pleased with our yajna karma. (6)
ए॒ता वो॑ व॒श्म्युद्य॑ता यजत्रा॒ अत॑क्षन्ना॒यवो॒ नव्य॑से॒ सम् । श्र॒व॒स्यवो॒ वाजं॑ चका॒नाः सप्ति॒र्न रथ्यो॒ अह॑ धी॒तिम॑श्याः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यज्ञ के योग्य देवो! तुम स्तुतियोग्यों की अन्न और बल की इच्छा करने वाले हम स्तुति करना चाहते हैं. रथ के घोड़े के समान तुम्हारा बल हमें प्राप्त हो. (७)
EN English Translation
O gods worthy of yajna! We want to praise those who desire the food and strength of the praiseworthy. May we receive your strength like the horse of the chariot. (7)
