आ ते॑ पितर्मरुतां सु॒म्नमे॑तु॒ मा नः॒ सूर्य॑स्य सं॒दृशो॑ युयोथाः । अ॒भि नो॑ वी॒रो अर्व॑ति क्षमेत॒ प्र जा॑येमहि रुद्र प्र॒जाभिः॑ ॥ (१)

हे मरुतों के पिता रुद्र! तुम्हारा दिया हुआ सुख हमें मिले. हमें सूर्य के दर्शन से अलग मत करना. हमारे शक्तिशाली पुत्र युद्ध में शत्रुओं को हरावें. हे रुद्र! हम पुत्र-पौत्र आदि से बहुत बनें. (१)
EN English Translation
O Rudra, father of the maruts! May we have the happiness you have given us. Don't separate us from the sight of the sun. May our mighty sons defeat the enemies in battle. Hey Rudra! We become many of the sons and grandsons etc. (1)
त्वाद॑त्तेभी रुद्र॒ शंत॑मेभिः श॒तं हिमा॑ अशीय भेष॒जेभिः॑ । व्य१॒॑स्मद्द्वेषो॑ वित॒रं व्यंहो॒ व्यमी॑वाश्चातयस्वा॒ विषू॑चीः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे रुद्र! हम तुम्हारी दी हुई सुखकारी ओषधियों की सहायता से सौ वर्ष तक जीवित रहें. हमारे शत्रुओं का विनाश करो, हमारे पाप को दूर करो एवं हमारे शरीर में फैली बीमारियों को मिटाओ. (२)
EN English Translation
Hey Rudra! May we live for a hundred years with the help of the soothing medicines that you have given us. Destroy our enemies, remove our sin sins and eradicate the diseases in our bodies. (2)
श्रेष्ठो॑ जा॒तस्य॑ रुद्र श्रि॒यासि॑ त॒वस्त॑मस्त॒वसां॑ वज्रबाहो । पर्षि॑ णः पा॒रमंह॑सः स्व॒स्ति विश्वा॑ अ॒भी॑ती॒ रप॑सो युयोधि ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे रुद्र! तुम ऐश्वर्य से सब प्राणियों की अपेक्षा श्रेष्ठ हो. हे वज्रबाहु! तुम बढ़े हुए लोगों में अतिशय उन्नत हो. हमें कुशलता के साथ पाप के उस पार ले जाओ एवं सभी पापों को हमसे दूर ले जाओ. (३)
EN English Translation
Hey Rudra! You are superior to all beings by splendor. O Vajrabahu! You are very advanced in grown-ups. Take us across sin with skill and take all sins away from us. (3)
मा त्वा॑ रुद्र चुक्रुधामा॒ नमो॑भि॒र्मा दुष्टु॑ती वृषभ॒ मा सहू॑ती । उन्नो॑ वी॒राँ अ॑र्पय भेष॒जेभि॑र्भि॒षक्त॑मं त्वा भि॒षजां॑ शृणोमि ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अभिलाषापूरक रुद्रो! हम विधिविरुद्ध नमस्कारों, अशोभन स्तुतियों एवं अन्य देवों के साथ आह्वान द्वारा तुम्हें क्रोधित न करें. हमारे पुत्रों को अपनी ओषधियों द्वारा उत्तम बनाओ. हमने सुना है कि तुम वैद्यों में सबसे श्रेष्ठ हो. (४)
EN English Translation
This desireful Rudrao! Let us not anger you by insulting salutations, unbecoming praises and invocations with other gods against the law. Make our sons the best by your medicines. We have heard that you are the best of the physicians. (4)
हवी॑मभि॒र्हव॑ते॒ यो ह॒विर्भि॒रव॒ स्तोमे॑भी रु॒द्रं दि॑षीय । ऋ॒दू॒दरः॑ सु॒हवो॒ मा नो॑ अ॒स्यै ब॒भ्रुः सु॒शिप्रो॑ रीरधन्म॒नायै॑ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो रुद्र हव्य के साथ-साथ आह्वानों से बुलाए जाते हैं, उनका क्रोध मैं स्तोत्रों द्वारा मिटा दूंगा. कोमल उदर वाले, शोभन आह्वान से युक्त, पीले रंग वाले एवं सुंदर नाक वाले रुद्र मेरे प्रति हिंसा बुद्धि न रखें. (५)
EN English Translation
I will wipe out the anger of those who are called by rudra havya as well as by the invocations. Rudra with a soft abdomen, with a gentle voice, with a gentle voice, with a yellow colour and a beautiful nose, should not have violence towards me. (5)
उन्मा॑ ममन्द वृष॒भो म॒रुत्वा॒न्त्वक्षी॑यसा॒ वय॑सा॒ नाध॑मानम् । घृणी॑व च्छा॒याम॑र॒पा अ॑शी॒या वि॑वासेयं रु॒द्रस्य॑ सु॒म्नम् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं कामवर्षक एवं मरुतों से युक्त रुद्र से प्रार्थना करता हूं कि वे मुझे उत्तम अन्न से तृप्त करें. धूप से व्याकुल व्यक्ति जिस प्रकार छाया में प्रवेश करता है, उसी प्रकार पापरहित होकर रुद्र द्वारा दिए हुए सुख को भोगने के लिए मैं उनकी सेवा करूंगा. (६)
EN English Translation
I pray to Rudra, who is a workman and a man with maruts, to satisfy me with good food. Just as a person who is troubled by the sun enters the shadow, so I will serve him to enjoy the pleasures given by Rudra without sin. (6)
क्व१॒॑ स्य ते॑ रुद्र मृळ॒याकु॒र्हस्तो॒ यो अस्ति॑ भेष॒जो जला॑षः । अ॒प॒भ॒र्ता रप॑सो॒ दैव्य॑स्या॒भी नु मा॑ वृषभ चक्षमीथाः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे रुद्र! तुम्हारा वह सुखदाता हाथ कहां है, जो सबको सुख पहुंचाने वाली दवाएं बनाता है? हे कामवर्षक रुद्र! तुम देवकृत पाप का विनाश करते हुए मुझे जल्दी क्षमा करो. (७)
EN English Translation
Hey Rudra! Where is your hand of happiness that makes the medicines that bring happiness to all? O workman Rudra! Forgive me quickly, destroying godly sin. (7)
प्र ब॒भ्रवे॑ वृष॒भाय॑ श्विती॒चे म॒हो म॒हीं सु॑ष्टु॒तिमी॑रयामि । न॒म॒स्या क॑ल्मली॒किनं॒ नमो॑भिर्गृणी॒मसि॑ त्वे॒षं रु॒द्रस्य॒ नाम॑ ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं पीले रंग वाले, कामवर्षी एवं श्वेत आभायुक्त रुद्र के प्रति परम महान् स्तुतियां बार- बार बोलता हूं. हे स्तोता! नमस्कार द्वारा तेजस्वी रुद्र की पूजा करो. मैं रुद्र का उज्ज्वल नाम संकीर्तन करता हूं. (८)
EN English Translation
I speak over and over again to the most great praises of the yellow, lustful and white-clad Rudra. This is the hymn! Worship the stunning Rudra by greetings. I do sankirtan, the bright name of Rudra. (8)
स्थि॒रेभि॒रङ्गैः॑ पुरु॒रूप॑ उ॒ग्रो ब॒भ्रुः शु॒क्रेभिः॑ पिपिशे॒ हिर॑ण्यैः । ईशा॑नाद॒स्य भुव॑नस्य॒ भूरे॒र्न वा उ॑ योषद्रु॒द्राद॑सु॒र्य॑म् ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
दृढ़ अंग वाले, बहुरूप, तेजस्वी एवं पीले रंग वाले रुद्र चमकीले तथा सोने के बने आभूषणों से सुशोभित हैं. संपूर्ण भुवनों के स्वामी एवं भर्ता रुद्र का बल कभी अलग नहीं होता. (९)
EN English Translation
Rudras with firm limbs, polymorphs, bright and yellow colours are adorned with jewellery made of bright and gold. The force of Rudra, the lord of the entire Bhuvanas and the bharta, is never separate. (9)
अर्ह॑न्बिभर्षि॒ साय॑कानि॒ धन्वार्ह॑न्नि॒ष्कं य॑ज॒तं वि॒श्वरू॑पम् । अर्ह॑न्नि॒दं द॑यसे॒ विश्व॒मभ्वं॒ न वा ओजी॑यो रुद्र॒ त्वद॑स्ति ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पूज्य रुद्र! तुम बाण और धनुष धारण करते हो. हे पूजा योग्य! तुमने पूजनीय एवं बहुरूप वाले हार को धारण किया है. तुम इस विस्तृत संसार की रक्षा करते हो. तुम्हारी अपेक्षा अधिक शक्तिशाली कोई नहीं है. (१०)
EN English Translation
O revered Rudra! You hold arrows and bows. O worshipable! You have worn a revered and polymorphic necklace. You protect this vast world. There is no one more powerful than yours. (10)
स्तु॒हि श्रु॒तं ग॑र्त॒सदं॒ युवा॑नं मृ॒गं न भी॒ममु॑पह॒त्नुमु॒ग्रम् । मृ॒ळा ज॑रि॒त्रे रु॑द्र॒ स्तवा॑नो॒ऽन्यं ते॑ अ॒स्मन्नि व॑पन्तु॒ सेनाः॑ ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तोता! प्रसिद्ध, रथ पर बैठे हुए, युवा, पशु के समान भयानक, शत्रुनाशक तथा उग्र रुद्र की स्तुति करो. हे रुद्र! हम स्तुतिकर्ताओं की रक्षा करो. तुम्हारी सेना हमारे अतिरिक्त अन्य लोगों का संहार करे. (११)
EN English Translation
This is the hymn! Praise the famous, sitting on the chariot, young, as terrible as an animal, an enemy and a fierce Rudra. Hey Rudra! We protect the praises. Let your army destroy others besides us. (11)
कु॒मा॒रश्चि॑त्पि॒तरं॒ वन्द॑मानं॒ प्रति॑ नानाम रुद्रोप॒यन्त॑म् । भूरे॑र्दा॒तारं॒ सत्प॑तिं गृणीषे स्तु॒तस्त्वं भे॑ष॒जा रा॑स्य॒स्मे ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे रुद्र! जिस प्रकार पुत्र आशीर्वाद देने वाले पिता को नमस्कार करता है, उसी प्रकार आते हुए तुमको हम नमस्कार करें. हम अधिक दान करने वाले एवं सज्जन के बालक तुम्हारी स्तुति करते हैं. तुम हमें ओषधि दो. (१२)
EN English Translation
Hey Rudra! Just as the Son greets the Father who blesses, so let us greet you as he comes. We praise you, the children of the more donors and the gentleman. You give us the medicine. (12)
या वो॑ भेष॒जा म॑रुतः॒ शुची॑नि॒ या शंत॑मा वृषणो॒ या म॑यो॒भु । यानि॒ मनु॒रवृ॑णीता पि॒ता न॒स्ता शं च॒ योश्च॑ रु॒द्रस्य॑ वश्मि ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अभीष्टवर्षक मरुद्गण! तुम्हारी जो ओषधियां शुद्ध एवं अत्यधिक सुख देने वाली हैं, जिन्हें हमारे पिता मनु ने पसंद किया था, रुद्र की उन्हीं सुखदायक व भयनाशक ओषधियों की हम इच्छा करते हैं. (१३)
EN English Translation
O the desired deserts! The medicines that are pure and very pleasing to you, which our father Manu liked, we desire rudra's same soothing and frightening medicines. (13)
परि॑ णो हे॒ती रु॒द्रस्य॑ वृज्याः॒ परि॑ त्वे॒षस्य॑ दुर्म॒तिर्म॒ही गा॑त् । अव॑ स्थि॒रा म॒घव॑द्भ्यस्तनुष्व॒ मीढ्व॑स्तो॒काय॒ तन॑याय मृळ ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
रुद्र का आयुध हमारा त्याग कर दे. रुद्र की दुःखकारिणी विशाल भावना भी हमसे दूर रहे. हे अभिलाषापूरक रुद्र! अपने धनुष की कठीर डोरी यजमान के प्रति ढीली करो एवं हमारे पुत्र-पौत्रों को सुख दो. (१४)
EN English Translation
Let rudra's armament forsake us. Rudra's sadistic huge spirit also stayed away from us. He is the desireary Rudra! Loosen the hard cord of your bow to the host and give happiness to our sons and grandsons. (14)
ए॒वा ब॑भ्रो वृषभ चेकितान॒ यथा॑ देव॒ न हृ॑णी॒षे न हंसि॑ । ह॒व॒न॒श्रुन्नो॑ रुद्रे॒ह बो॑धि बृ॒हद्व॑देम वि॒दथे॑ सु॒वीराः॑ ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पीले रंग वाले, कामवर्षक, सर्वज्ञ, तेजस्वी एवं पुकार सुनने वाले रुद्रदेव! इस यज्ञ में ऐसा विचार बनाओ कि तुम हमारे प्रति न कभी क्रोध करो और न हमें मारो. हम उत्तम पुत्र- पौत्र पाकर इस यज्ञ में बहुत सी स्तुतियां बोलेंगे. (१५)
EN English Translation
O rudradeva, who is yellow, a workman, an all-knowing, a bright man and who hears a call! In this yajna, make such an idea that you should never be angry with us or kill us. We will receive the best son and grandson and speak many praises in this yajna. (15)
