कनि॑क्रदज्ज॒नुषं॑ प्रब्रुवा॒ण इय॑र्ति॒ वाच॑मरि॒तेव॒ नाव॑म् । सु॒म॒ङ्गल॑श्च शकुने॒ भवा॑सि॒ मा त्वा॒ का चि॑दभि॒भा विश्व्या॑ विदत् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
बार-बार बोलकर भविष्य की बात बताता हुआ कपिंजल वाणी को उसी प्रकार प्रेरित करता है, जिस प्रकार नाविक नाव को आगे बढ़ाता है. हे पक्षी! तुम अति कल्याणकारी बनो. किसी भी प्रकार पराजय सभी दिशाओं से तुम्हारे समीप न आवे. (१)
EN English Translation
Speaking repeatedly about the future, Kapinjal inspires Vani in the same way as the sailor moves the boat forward. O bird! You become extremely benevolent. In any way, let defeat not come near you from all directions. (1)
मा त्वा॑ श्ये॒न उद्व॑धी॒न्मा सु॑प॒र्णो मा त्वा॑ विद॒दिषु॑मान्वी॒रो अस्ता॑ । पित्र्या॒मनु॑ प्र॒दिशं॒ कनि॑क्रदत्सुम॒ङ्गलो॑ भद्रवा॒दी व॑दे॒ह ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शकुनि! बाज अथवा गरुड़ तुम्हें न मारे. धनुर्धारी एवं बाण फेंकने वाला वीर भी तुम्हें प्राप्त न करे. दक्षिण दिशा में बार-बार बोलते हुए एवं मंगलकारक बनकर हमारे लिए प्यारी बात कहो. (२)
EN English Translation
O Shakuni! Don't kill you or the eagle. The archer and the arrow thrower may not even get you. Say a sweet thing to us by speaking repeatedly in the south direction and becoming a good deed. (2)
अव॑ क्रन्द दक्षिण॒तो गृ॒हाणां॑ सुम॒ङ्गलो॑ भद्रवा॒दी श॑कुन्ते । मा नः॑ स्ते॒न ई॑शत॒ माघशं॑सो बृ॒हद्व॑देम वि॒दथे॑ सु॒वीराः॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे कपिंजल पक्षी! तुम कल्याणसूचक एवं प्रियवादी बनकर हमारे घरों की दक्षिण दिशा में बोलो. चोर एवं पाप की बात कहने वाले लोग हम पर अधिकार न करें. हम शोभन पुत्र- पौत्र प्राप्त करके इस यज्ञ में बहुत सी स्तुतियां बोलेंगे. (३)
EN English Translation
O cupinjal bird! You become a well-wisher and a beloved and speak in the south direction of our homes. Don't let thieves and those who speak of sin take over us. We will receive shobhan's son-grandson and speak many praises in this yajna. (3)
