इ॒मां मे॑ अग्ने स॒मिध॑मि॒मामु॑प॒सदं॑ वनेः । इ॒मा उ॒ षु श्रु॑धी॒ गिरः॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! यज्ञ में दी गई मेरी समिधा तथा आहुति का उपभोग करो एवं मेरी स्तुतियां सुनो. (१)
EN English Translation
O agni! Consume my samidha and sacrifice given in the yajna and listen to my praises. (1)
अ॒या ते॑ अग्ने विधे॒मोर्जो॑ नपा॒दश्व॑मिष्टे । ए॒ना सू॒क्तेन॑ सुजात ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! हमें मनुष्यों एवं देवों की शत्रुता हरा न सके. हमें इन दोनों प्रकार के शत्रुओं से बचाओ. (२)
EN English Translation
O agni! We cannot defeat the enmity of men and gods. Save us from these two types of enemies. (2)
तं त्वा॑ गी॒र्भिर्गिर्व॑णसं द्रविण॒स्युं द्र॑विणोदः । स॒प॒र्येम॑ सप॒र्यवः॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम्हारी कृपा से हम सभी शत्रुओं को जल की धारा के समान लांघ जाएंगे. (३)
EN English Translation
O agni! By your grace, we will take all our enemies like a stream of water. (3)
स बो॑धि सू॒रिर्म॒घवा॒ वसु॑पते॒ वसु॑दावन् । यु॒यो॒ध्य१॒॑स्मद्द्वेषां॑सि ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शुद्ध, पवित्र करने वाले एवं वंदनीय अग्नि! तुम घृत द्वारा बुलाए गए हो और अत्यंत प्रकाशित हो रहे हो. (४)
EN English Translation
O pure, sanctifying and rending agni! You are called by disgust and are being highly illuminated. (4)
स नो॑ वृ॒ष्टिं दि॒वस्परि॒ स नो॒ वाज॑मन॒र्वाण॑म् । स नः॑ सह॒स्रिणी॒रिषः॑ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ऋत्विजों का भरण करने वाले अग्नि! तुम हमारे हो. तुम बांझ गायों, बैलों एवं गर्भिणी गायों द्वारा बुलाए गए हो. (५)
EN English Translation
O agni that fills the ritvians! You are ours. You are called by infertile cows, bulls and pregnant cows. (5)
ईळा॑नायाव॒स्यवे॒ यवि॑ष्ठ दूत नो गि॒रा । यजि॑ष्ठ होत॒रा ग॑हि ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अतिशय तरुण, देवदूत एवं यज्ञ के परम योग्य अग्नि! मेरी स्तुति सुनकर आओ एवं अपने पूजक मुझको अपना आश्रय दो. (६)
EN English Translation
O very young man, the angel and the most worthy agni of yajna! Hear my praises, and let your worshiper give me your shelter. (6)
अ॒न्तर्ह्य॑ग्न॒ ईय॑से वि॒द्वाञ्जन्मो॒भया॑ कवे । दू॒तो जन्ये॑व॒ मित्र्यः॑ ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे बुद्धिमान् अग्नि! तुम मनुष्यों के हृदय की भावना पहचानते हो. तुम यजमान और देव दोनों के विषय में जानते हो. तुम मित्र के दूत के समान लोगों के हितकारी हो. (७)
EN English Translation
O wise agni! You recognize the feeling of human hearts. You know about both the host and god. You are as good-doers of the people as a friend's messenger. (7)
स वि॒द्वाँ आ च॑ पिप्रयो॒ यक्षि॑ चिकित्व आनु॒षक् । आ चा॒स्मिन्स॑त्सि ब॒र्हिषि॑ ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ज्ञानसंपन्न अग्नि! हमारी इच्छा सभी प्रकार से पूरी करो. हे चेतनायुक्त अग्नि! तुम क्रमानुसार देवों का यज्ञ करो एवं बिछे हुए कुशों पर बैठो. (८)
EN English Translation
O agni full of knowledge! Fulfill our wishes in all ways. O agni of consciousness! You should perform yajna of the gods in order and sit on the clenched kushas. (8)
