श्रेष्ठं॑ यविष्ठ भार॒ताग्ने॑ द्यु॒मन्त॒मा भ॑र । वसो॑ पुरु॒स्पृहं॑ र॒यिम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अतिशय तरुण, ऋत्विजों के संबंधी एवं व्याप्त अग्नि! हमें अति प्रशंसनीय, तेजस्वी एवं बहुत से याचकों द्वारा मांगा गया धन प्रदान करो. (१)
EN English Translation
O very young, related to the ritvijas and the agni that pervades! Give us the money sought by the most praiseworthy, brilliant and many supplicants. (1)
मा नो॒ अरा॑तिरीशत दे॒वस्य॒ मर्त्य॑स्य च । पर्षि॒ तस्या॑ उ॒त द्वि॒षः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! हमें मनुष्यों एवं देवों की शत्रुता हरा न सके. हमें इन दोनों प्रकार के शत्रुओं से बचाओ. (२)
EN English Translation
O agni! We cannot defeat the enmity of humans and gods. Save us from these two types of enemies. (2)
विश्वा॑ उ॒त त्वया॑ व॒यं धारा॑ उद॒न्या॑ इव । अति॑ गाहेमहि॒ द्विषः॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम्हारी कृपा से हम सभी शत्रुओं को जल की धारा के समान लांघ जाएंगे. (३)
EN English Translation
O agni! By Your grace, we will cross all enemies like a stream of water. (3)
शुचिः॑ पावक॒ वन्द्योऽग्ने॑ बृ॒हद्वि रो॑चसे । त्वं घृ॒तेभि॒राहु॑तः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शुद्ध, पवित्र करने वाले एवं वंदनीय अग्नि! तुम घृत द्वारा बुलाए गए हो और अत्यंत प्रकाशित हो रहे हो. (४)
EN English Translation
O pure, purifying and venerable agni! You are called by the ghrita and are being highly illuminated. (4)
त्वं नो॑ असि भार॒ताग्ने॑ व॒शाभि॑रु॒क्षभिः॑ । अ॒ष्टाप॑दीभि॒राहु॑तः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ऋत्विजों का भरण करने वाले अग्नि! तुम हमारे हो. तुम बांझ गायों, बैलों एवं गर्भिणी गायों द्वारा बुलाए गए हो. (५)
EN English Translation
O agni that fills the sages! You are ours. You are called by infertile cows, bulls and pregnant cows. (5)
द्र्व॑न्नः स॒र्पिरा॑सुतिः प्र॒त्नो होता॒ वरे॑ण्यः । सह॑सस्पु॒त्रो अद्भु॑तः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
समिधाओं को भक्षण करने वाले एवं घृत से सिंचे हुए, पुरातन होम पूरा करने वाले वरण करने योग्य एवं शक्ति से उत्पन्न अग्नि परम विचित्र हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
The agni that eats the samidhas and is irrigated with ghee, the old home completes the selection and the agni produced by power is very strange. (6)
