वा॒ज॒यन्नि॑व॒ नू रथा॒न्योगा॑ँ अ॒ग्नेरुप॑ स्तुहि । य॒शस्त॑मस्य मी॒ळ्हुषः॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अंतरात्मन्! जिस तरह अन्न का इच्छुक व्यक्ति प्रार्थना करता है, उसी प्रकार परम यश वाले एवं फलदाता अग्नि की स्तुति करो. (१)
EN English Translation
O conscience! Just as a person desirous of food prays, so praise the agni, the one of the most glorious and the giver of fruit. (1)
यः सु॑नी॒थो द॑दा॒शुषे॑ऽजु॒र्यो ज॒रय॑न्न॒रिम् । चारु॑प्रतीक॒ आहु॑तः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सुंदर नयनों वाले, जरारहित एवं शोभन-गति वाले अग्नि हव्यदाता यजमान के शत्रुओं को नष्ट करने के लिए बुलाए गए हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
Beautiful, unruly and dormant agni-speeders have been called to destroy the enemies of the host. (2)
य उ॑ श्रि॒या दमे॒ष्वा दो॒षोषसि॑ प्रश॒स्यते॑ । यस्य॑ व्र॒तं न मीय॑ते ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो सुंदर लपटों वाले अग्नि यज्ञशाला में आकर रात-दिन स्तुतियां सुनते हैं, उनका व्रत कभी समाप्त नहीं होता. (३)
EN English Translation
Those who come to the agni yajnashala with beautiful flames and listen to the praises day and night, their fast never ends. (3)
आ यः स्व१॒॑र्ण भा॒नुना॑ चि॒त्रो वि॒भात्य॒र्चिषा॑ । अ॒ञ्जा॒नो अ॒जरै॑र॒भि ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अग्नि अपनी नित्य की ज्वालाओं में सब दिशाओं में प्रकाशित होते हुए इस प्रकार शोभा पाते हैं, जिस प्रकार सूर्य अपनी किरणों से सुशोभित होता है. (४)
EN English Translation
The agni is illuminated in all directions in its constant flames, in such a way that the sun is adorned with its rays. (4)
अत्रि॒मनु॑ स्व॒राज्य॑म॒ग्निमु॒क्थानि॑ वावृधुः । विश्वा॒ अधि॒ श्रियो॑ दधे ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
शत्रुनाशक एवं स्वयं शोभित अग्नि की स्तुति में ऋग्वेद के सभी मंत्रों का प्रयोग किया जाता है. अग्नि समस्त शोभाओं को धारण करते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
All the mantras of the Rigveda are used in praise of the enemy-destroying and self-adorning agni. Fire holds all the splendours. (5)
अ॒ग्नेरिन्द्र॑स्य॒ सोम॑स्य दे॒वाना॑मू॒तिभि॑र्व॒यम् । अरि॑ष्यन्तः सचेमह्य॒भि ष्या॑म पृतन्य॒तः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम अग्नि, इंद्र, सोम एवं अन्य देवों की रक्षा से युक्त हैं. हम सबके अनिष्ट से बचते हुए शन्रुओं को हरावेंगे. (६)
EN English Translation
We are equipped with the protection of Agni, Indra, Soma and other gods. We will all avoid the evil and defeat the shanrus. (6)
