नि होता॑ होतृ॒षद॑ने॒ विदा॑नस्त्वे॒षो दी॑दि॒वाँ अ॑सदत्सु॒दक्षः॑ । अद॑ब्धव्रतप्रमति॒र्वसि॑ष्ठः सहस्रम्भ॒रः शुचि॑जिह्वो अ॒ग्निः ॥ (१)

देवों का आह्वान करने वाले, विद्वान्, चमकते हुए, शोभन बलयुक्त, अहिंसित व्रत एवं उत्तम बुद्धि वाले, निवासस्थान देने वाले, असंख्य व्यक्तियों का भरणपोषण करने वाले एवं विशुद्ध ज्वालाओं वाले अग्नि होता के भवन में भली प्रकार बैठे. (१)
EN English Translation
Those who invoke the gods, the scholars, the shining, the adorned, the strong, the non-violent fast and the best of wisdom, the abode-giver, the one who feeds on countless people, and the one with pure flames, sit well in the house of the agni. (1)
त्वं दू॒तस्त्वमु॑ नः पर॒स्पास्त्वं वस्य॒ आ वृ॑षभ प्रणे॒ता । अग्ने॑ तो॒कस्य॑ न॒स्तने॑ त॒नूना॒मप्र॑युच्छ॒न्दीद्य॑द्बोधि गो॒पाः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे कामवर्षक! तुम हमारे दूत बनो, हमें आपत्तियों से बचाओ एवं हमारे धनदाता बनो. तुम प्रमादशून्य एवं प्रकाशयुक्त बनकर हमारी और हमारे पुत्रों की शरीर रक्षा करके जगो. (२)
EN English Translation
Oh, the workman! Be our messengers, save us from objections and be our givers. May you be enlightened and lighted and awake by protecting our bodies and that of our sons. (2)
वि॒धेम॑ ते पर॒मे जन्म॑न्नग्ने वि॒धेम॒ स्तोमै॒रव॑रे स॒धस्थे॑ । यस्मा॒द्योने॑रु॒दारि॑था॒ यजे॒ तं प्र त्वे ह॒वींषि॑ जुहुरे॒ समि॑द्धे ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम्हारे उत्तम जन्मस्थान में हम तुम्हारी सेवा करेंगे और तुम्हारे आकाश से नीचे स्थित होने पर स्तुतिसमूहों से तुम्हें प्रसन्न करेंगे. जिस अधःप्रदेश अर्थात् धरती से तुम उत्पन्न हुए हो, उसकी भी पूजा करेंगे. वहां जब तुम प्रज्वलित होते हो तो अध्वर्यु हव्य देते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O agni! In your best birthplace we will serve you and delight you with the praise groups when you are located below the sky. You will also worship the sub-continent, that is, the earth from which you were born. There when you are ignited, you give a havan. (3)
अग्ने॒ यज॑स्व ह॒विषा॒ यजी॑याञ्छ्रु॒ष्टी दे॒ष्णम॒भि गृ॑णीहि॒ राधः॑ । त्वं ह्यसि॑ रयि॒पती॑ रयी॒णां त्वं शु॒क्रस्य॒ वच॑सो म॒नोता॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
है श्रेष्ठ याज्ञिक रूप अग्नि! तुम हव्य द्वारा यज्ञ करो और शीधघ्रतापूर्वक हमारे दान योग्य अन्न की प्रशंसा देवों के सामने करो. तुम उत्तम धनों के स्वामी हो. तुम हमारे ओजस्वी स्तोत्र को जानो. (४)
EN English Translation
The best yagnik form is agni! You should perform yajna by the word and praise our donated food in front of the gods with great pride. You are the master of the best riches. You know our flamboyant hymn. (4)
उ॒भयं॑ ते॒ न क्षी॑यते वस॒व्यं॑ दि॒वेदि॑वे॒ जाय॑मानस्य दस्म । कृ॒धि क्षु॒मन्तं॑ जरि॒तार॑मग्ने कृ॒धि पतिं॑ स्वप॒त्यस्य॑ रा॒यः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सुंदर अग्नि! प्रतिदिन उत्पन्न होने वाला तुम्हारा दिव्य एवं पार्थिव दोनों प्रकार का धन नष्ट नहीं होता. हे अग्नि! स्तुतिकर्तता यजमान को अन्न का स्वामी बनाओ एवं उसे अपत्यो वाला धन प्रदान करो. (५)
EN English Translation
Oh, beautiful agni! Both your divine and earthly wealth that is generated every day is not destroyed. O agni! Make the psalm host the master of food and give him riches. (5)
सैनानी॑केन सुवि॒दत्रो॑ अ॒स्मे यष्टा॑ दे॒वाँ आय॑जिष्ठः स्व॒स्ति । अद॑ब्धो गो॒पा उ॒त नः॑ पर॒स्पा अग्ने॑ द्यु॒मदु॒त रे॒वद्दि॑दीहि ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम अपनी सेना सहित आकर हमारे लिए शोभन धन वाले बनो. हे देवों के यज्ञकर्ता सबसे उत्तम याज्ञिक, तिरस्काररहित, पापों से रक्षा करने वाले, धन एवं कांतियुक्त अग्नि! तुम हमारी रक्षा करते हुए सभी ओर से प्रकाशित बनो. (६)
EN English Translation
O agni! You come with your army and become the one with the riches for us. O the yagyakar of the gods, the best yagnik, the undeserved, the protector of sins, the agni with wealth and lust! You protect us while becoming illuminated on all sides. (6)
