वि पाज॑सा पृ॒थुना॒ शोशु॑चानो॒ बाध॑स्व द्वि॒षो र॒क्षसो॒ अमी॑वाः । सु॒शर्म॑णो बृह॒तः शर्म॑णि स्याम॒ग्नेर॒हं सु॒हव॑स्य॒ प्रणी॑तौ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! विस्तीर्ण तेज द्वारा अत्यंत दीप्त तुम हमारे शत्रुओं तथा रोगरहित राक्षसों का विनाश करो. मैं सुखदाता, महान्, एवं उत्तम आह्वान वाले अग्नि की सुखद रक्षा में रहूंगा. (१)
EN English Translation
O agni! You, who are extremely illuminated by the vast brightness, destroy our enemies and our unimpressed demons. I will be in the pleasant defense of a agni that is pleasant, great, and of good calling. (1)
त्वं नो॑ अ॒स्या उ॒षसो॒ व्यु॑ष्टौ॒ त्वं सूर॒ उदि॑ते बोधि गो॒पाः । जन्मे॑व॒ नित्यं॒ तन॑यं जुषस्व॒ स्तोमं॑ मे अग्ने त॒न्वा॑ सुजात ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम वर्तमान उषा के प्रकाशित एवं सूर्य के निकलने के बाद हमारी रक्षा के निमित्त जागो. हे स्वयंभू! तुम हमारी स्तुतियां उसी प्रकार स्वीकार करो, जैसे पिता पुत्र को स्वीकार करता है. (२)
EN English Translation
O agni! You wake up to protect us after the present Usha is illuminated and the sun comes out. Oh, O self-styler! Accept Our praises in the same way that the Father accepts the Son. (2)
त्वं नृ॒चक्षा॑ वृष॒भानु॑ पू॒र्वीः कृ॒ष्णास्व॑ग्ने अरु॒षो वि भा॑हि । वसो॒ नेषि॑ च॒ पर्षि॒ चात्यंहः॑ कृ॒धी नो॑ रा॒य उ॒शिजो॑ यविष्ठ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे कामवर्षक एवं मानवों के शुभाशुभदर्शक अग्नि! तुम अंधेरी रातों में पहले की अपेक्षा अधिक चमकते हुए ज्वालाओं को विस्तृत करो. हे वासदाता! हमें कर्मानुरूप फल दो तथा पाप का नाश करो. हे अतिशय युवक! हमें धन का अभिलाषी बनाओ. (३)
EN English Translation
O workman and a agni of good fortune of mankind! You elaborate the flashing flames in the dark nights more than before. O lord! Give us fruit according to karma and destroy sin. Oh, very young man! Make us desire wealth. (3)
अषा॑ळ्हो अग्ने वृष॒भो दि॑दीहि॒ पुरो॒ विश्वाः॒ सौभ॑गा संजिगी॒वान् । य॒ज्ञस्य॑ ने॒ता प्र॑थ॒मस्य॑ पा॒योर्जात॑वेदो बृह॒तः सु॑प्रणीते ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शत्रुओं द्वारा अपराजित एवं कामवर्षक अग्नि! तुम शत्रुओं की समस्त नगरियों एवं उन में स्थित धन को भली प्रकार जीत कर प्रकाशित बनो. हे शोभनकर्मा एवं जातवेद अग्नि! बुम महान् यज्ञ के नेता एवं आश्रयदाता तथा पूर्णकर्ता बनो. (४)
EN English Translation
O agni undefeated by enemies and a workable agni! Be well-lit up by conquering all the cities of the enemies and the riches in them. O Shobhankarma and Jataveda Agni! Be the leader and patron and completer of the Bum Great Yajna. (4)
अच्छि॑द्रा॒ शर्म॑ जरितः पु॒रूणि॑ दे॒वाँ अच्छा॒ दीद्या॑नः सुमे॒धाः । रथो॒ न सस्नि॑र॒भि व॑क्षि॒ वाज॒मग्ने॒ त्वं रोद॑सी नः सु॒मेके॑ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अंतकाल में सबको जलाने वाले, शोभन प्रज्ञा वाले तथा दीप्तिसंपन्न अग्नि! देवों के लिए सारे अग्निहोत्रादि कर्मों को पूर्ण करो. हे अग्नि! तुम यहीं ठहर कर देवों को दिया हुआ हमारा द्रव्य उसी प्रकार वहन करो, जिस प्रकार रथ किसी वस्तु को ढोता है. (५)
EN English Translation
O you who burn everyone in the end, those with shobhan pragya and the glorious agni! Complete all the agnihotri deeds for the gods. O agni! Stay here and carry our money given to the gods in the same way as the chariot carries something. (5)
प्र पी॑पय वृषभ॒ जिन्व॒ वाजा॒नग्ने॒ त्वं रोद॑सी नः सु॒दोघे॑ । दे॒वेभि॑र्देव सु॒रुचा॑ रुचा॒नो मा नो॒ मर्त॑स्य दुर्म॒तिः परि॑ ष्ठात् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे कामवर्षक अग्नि! तुम हमारे अभिलषित फल बढ़ाओ तथा अन्न प्रदान करो. हे देव! शोभन किरणों द्वारा प्रकाशित तुम देवों के साथ मिलकर धरती-आकाश को हमारे लिए फलप्रद बनाओ. शत्रुओं संबंधी पराभव हमारे समीप न आवे. (६)
EN English Translation
O working agni! You increase our desired fruits and give us food. Oh, God! Together with you gods illuminated by the rays of adornment, make the earth and the sky fruitful for us. Let the defeat of the enemies not come near us. (6)
इळा॑मग्ने पुरु॒दंसं॑ स॒निं गोः श॑श्वत्त॒मं हव॑मानाय साध । स्यान्नः॑ सू॒नुस्तन॑यो वि॒जावाग्ने॒ सा ते॑ सुम॒तिर्भू॑त्व॒स्मे ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! यज्ञ करने वाले मुझ यजमान को सदा अनेक कर्मो की साधनरूप गौ प्रदान करो. हे अग्नि! हमें पुत्र एवं पौत्र प्राप्त हों तथा तुम्हारी फलदायक सुबुद्धि हमारे अनुकूल हो. (७)
EN English Translation
O agni! Always give me the worshiper of the yajna as a means of many deeds. O agni! May we have sons and grandsons, and may your fruitful wisdom be compatible with us. (7)
