इन्द्रं॑ म॒तिर्हृ॒द आ व॒च्यमा॒नाच्छा॒ पतिं॒ स्तोम॑तष्टा जिगाति । या जागृ॑विर्वि॒दथे॑ श॒स्यमा॒नेन्द्र॒ यत्ते॒ जाय॑ते वि॒द्धि तस्य॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे जगत् के स्वामी इंद्र! हृदय से उदभूत एवं स्तोताओं द्वारा निर्मित स्तुतियां तुम्हारे पास जावें. यज्ञ में मेरी स्तुति तुम्हारे जागरण का कारण बनती है, उसे जानो. (१)
EN English Translation
O Lord of the world, Indra! May the praises that arise from the heart and made by the psalms go to you. My praise in the yajna causes your awakening, know him. (1)
दि॒वश्चि॒दा पू॒र्व्या जाय॑माना॒ वि जागृ॑विर्वि॒दथे॑ श॒स्यमा॑ना । भ॒द्रा वस्त्रा॒ण्यर्जु॑ना॒ वसा॑ना॒ सेयम॒स्मे स॑न॒जा पित्र्या॒ धीः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! सूर्योदय से भी पहले यज्ञ में की गई स्तुति तुम्हारा जागरण करती हुई कल्याणकारिणी, शुक्लवस्त्रधारिणी, सनातन एवं हमारे पितरों के पास से आई है. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! The praise made in the yagna even before sunrise has come from kalyanini, shuklavastradharini, sanatan and our fathers, awakening you. (2)
य॒मा चि॒दत्र॑ यम॒सूर॑सूत जि॒ह्वाया॒ अग्रं॒ पत॒दा ह्यस्था॑त् । वपूं॑षि जा॒ता मि॑थु॒ना स॑चेते तमो॒हना॒ तपु॑षो बु॒ध्न एता॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यम ने अश्चिनीकुमारों को जन्म दिया था. उनकी स्तुति करने के लिए मेरी जीभ का अगला भाग चंचल है. अंधकारनाशक दिवस के प्रारंभ में ही आए हुए वे अश्विनीकुमार प्रातःकाल के यज्ञकर्मो से संगत होते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
Yama gave birth to the Aschinikumaras. The front of my tongue to praise them is playful. Coming at the beginning of the dark-burning day, he is associated with the yagnakarmas of Ashwinikumara in the morning. (3)
नकि॑रेषां निन्दि॒ता मर्त्ये॑षु॒ ये अ॒स्माकं॑ पि॒तरो॒ गोषु॑ यो॒धाः । इन्द्र॑ एषां दृंहि॒ता माहि॑नावा॒नुद्गो॒त्राणि॑ ससृजे दं॒सना॑वान् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! गायों के निमित्त युद्ध करने वाले हमारे पितरों का मनुष्यों में कोई भी निंदक नहीं है. महिमा एवं वृत्रहननादि कर्म वाले इंद्र ने उन अंगिरागोत्रीय ऋषियों को समृद्ध गाएं दी थीं. (४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! There is no blasphemy among the human beings of our fathers who fight for cows. Indra, who had glory and vrithrahananadi karma, had given rich songs to those Angiragotrian sages. (4)
सखा॑ ह॒ यत्र॒ सखि॑भि॒र्नव॑ग्वैरभि॒ज्ञ्वा सत्व॑भि॒र्गा अ॑नु॒ग्मन् । स॒त्यं तदिन्द्रो॑ द॒शभि॒र्दश॑ग्वैः॒ सूर्यं॑ विवेद॒ तम॑सि क्षि॒यन्त॑म् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
नवग्व अर्थात् अंगिरागोत्रीय ऋषियों के मित्र इंद्र पणियों द्वारा रोकी गई गायों वाले बिल में जब घुटनों के सहारे गए थे, तब दस अंगिराओं के साथ बिल के अंधकार में सूर्य को देख सके. (५)
EN English Translation
When Indra, a friend of the Nuggavas, the friends of the Angiragotrian sages, went to the bill containing the cows stopped by the panjis, he could see the sun in the darkness of the bill with ten angiras. (5)
इन्द्रो॒ मधु॒ सम्भृ॑तमु॒स्रिया॑यां प॒द्वद्वि॑वेद श॒फव॒न्नमे॒ गोः । गुहा॑ हि॒तं गुह्यं॑ गू॒ळ्हम॒प्सु हस्ते॑ दधे॒ दक्षि॑णे॒ दक्षि॑णावान् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र ने सबसे पहले दुधारू गायों में मधुर दूध जाना, फिर दूध के निमित्त चार चरणों वाले गोधन को प्राप्त किया. उदारता वाले इंद्र ने गुफा में छिपे हुए एवं अंतरिक्ष में चलने वाले मायावी असुर को दाहिने हाथ में पकड़ लिया. (६)
EN English Translation
Indra first went to the milch cows with sweet milk, then got the four-stage godhan for the sake of milk. Indra, who was generous, held the elusive asura hiding in the cave and walking in space in his right hand. (6)
ज्योति॑र्वृणीत॒ तम॑सो विजा॒नन्ना॒रे स्या॑म दुरि॒ताद॒भीके॑ । इ॒मा गिरः॑ सोमपाः सोमवृद्ध जु॒षस्वे॑न्द्र पुरु॒तम॑स्य का॒रोः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
रात्रि से उत्पन्न होते ही सूर्यरूपी इंद्र ने प्रकाश का वरण किया. हम पाप से दूर एवं भयहीन स्थान में रहेंगे. हे सोम पीने वाले एवं सोम पाने में प्रमुख इंद्र! श्रुविनाशकारी एवं स्तुति करने वाले ऋत्विज् की इन स्तुतियों को सुनो. (७)
EN English Translation
As soon as it arose from the night, the sun-like Indra chose light. We will stay away from sin and in a place without fear. O Mon drinker and the chief Indra in getting som! Listen to these praises of the cursing and praising ritwij. (7)
ज्योति॑र्य॒ज्ञाय॒ रोद॑सी॒ अनु॑ ष्यादा॒रे स्या॑म दुरि॒तस्य॒ भूरेः॑ । भूरि॑ चि॒द्धि तु॑ज॒तो मर्त्य॑स्य सुपा॒रासो॑ वसवो ब॒र्हणा॑वत् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! जगत्-प्रकाशक सूर्य यज्ञ के लिए धरती और आकाश को प्रकाशित करें. हम विस्तृत पाप से दूर रहें. हे स्तुति द्वारा प्रसन्न किए जाने वाले वसुओ! अधिक दान करने वाले यजमान को पर्याप्त एवं समृद्धिशाली धन दो. (८)
EN English Translation
O Indra! The world-illuminator illuminate the earth and the sky for the Sun Yajna. Let us stay away from widespread sin. O Vasuo who is pleased by the praise! Give enough and rich rich money to the host who donates more. (8)
शु॒नं हु॑वेम म॒घवा॑न॒मिन्द्र॑म॒स्मिन्भरे॒ नृत॑मं॒ वाज॑सातौ । शृ॒ण्वन्त॑मु॒ग्रमू॒तये॑ स॒मत्सु॒ घ्नन्तं॑ वृ॒त्राणि॑ सं॒जितं॒ धना॑नाम् ॥ (९)

धन प्राप्ति वाले संग्राम में उत्साहपूर्ण, धनवान्, सकल विश्व के नेता, स्तुतियां सुनने वाले, शत्रुओं को भयंकर, युद्ध में राक्षसविनाशकारी एवं शत्रुओं के धन के विजेता इंद्र को हम रक्षा के लिए बुलाते हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
We call indra, who is enthusiastic in the battle for wealth, the leader of the world, the leader of the world, the leader of the world, the hearer of praises, the fiercest of the enemies, the destroyer of the enemies, the demon destroyer in the war and the winner of the wealth of the enemies. (9)
