अग्ने॒ तम॒द्याश्वं॒ न स्तोमैः॒ क्रतुं॒ न भ॒द्रं हृ॑दि॒स्पृश॑म् । ऋ॒ध्यामा॑ त॒ ओहैः॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! हम ऋत्विज् इंद्र आदि देवों को प्राप्त करने वाली स्तुतियों द्वारा अश्व के समान ढोने वाले, यज्ञकर्ता के समान उपकारक, भद्र एवं प्रिय तुमको बढ़ाते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O agni! We raise you as a horse-like, a benefactor like a yajna-doer, a gentleman and a beloved one by the praises that receive the gods like Ritwij indra etc. (1)
अधा॒ ह्य॑ग्ने॒ क्रतो॑र्भ॒द्रस्य॒ दक्ष॑स्य सा॒धोः । र॒थीरृ॒तस्य॑ बृह॒तो ब॒भूथ॑ ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम इसी समय हमारे भद्र, बढ़े हुए, मनचाहे फल देने वाले, सत्य एवं महान् यज्ञ के नेता हो. (२)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are at this time the leader of our gentle, grown,desired fruit-giver, the leader of the truth and the great yajna. (2)
ए॒भिर्नो॑ अ॒र्कैर्भवा॑ नो अ॒र्वाङ्स्व१॒॑र्ण ज्योतिः॑ । अग्ने॒ विश्वे॑भिः सु॒मना॒ अनी॑कैः ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सूर्य के समान तेजस्वी तथा समस्त तेजयुक्त व शोभन गमन वाले अग्नि! तुम हमारे इन पूजनीय स्तोत्रों द्वारा हमारे सामने आओ. (३)
EN English Translation
O agni as bright as the sun and all the bright and soothing agni! You come before us by these revered hymns of ours. (3)
आ॒भिष्टे॑ अ॒द्य गी॒र्भिर्गृ॒णन्तोऽग्ने॒ दाशे॑म । प्र ते॑ दि॒वो न स्त॑नयन्ति॒ शुष्माः॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! हम आज इन स्तुतियों द्वारा तुम्हारी प्रशंसा करते हुए तुम्हें हवि देंगे. तुम्हारी शुद्ध करने वाली ज्वालाएं सूर्य की किरणों के समान शब्द करती हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
O agni! We will praise you with these praises today. Your purifying flames say the same words as the rays of the sun. (4)
तव॒ स्वादि॒ष्ठाग्ने॒ संदृ॑ष्टिरि॒दा चि॒दह्न॑ इ॒दा चि॑द॒क्तोः । श्रि॒ये रु॒क्मो न रो॑चत उपा॒के ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम्हारा प्रियतम प्रकाश रात-दिन अलंकार के समान पदार्थो के समीप आकर शोभा पाता है. (५)
EN English Translation
O agni! Your beloved light comes close to objects like ornaments day and night. (5)
घृ॒तं न पू॒तं त॒नूर॑रे॒पाः शुचि॒ हिर॑ण्यम् । तत्ते॑ रु॒क्मो न रो॑चत स्वधावः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अन्न के स्वामी अग्नि! तुम्हारा शरीर शुद्ध घृत के समान पापरहित है. तुम्हारा शुद्ध एवं रमणीय तेज अलंकार के समान चमकता है. (६)
EN English Translation
O agni, lord of the grain! Your body is sinless like pure disgust. Your pure and delightful sharp shines like a ornament. (6)
कृ॒तं चि॒द्धि ष्मा॒ सने॑मि॒ द्वेषोऽग्न॑ इ॒नोषि॒ मर्ता॑त् । इ॒त्था यज॑मानादृतावः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सत्ययुक्त अग्नि! यजमानों द्वारा उत्पन्न होने पर भी चिरंतन तुम निश्चय ही यजमान के पापों को नष्ट करते हो. (७)
EN English Translation
O true agni! Even when you are born by the hosts, you certainly destroy the sins of the host. (7)
शि॒वा नः॑ स॒ख्या सन्तु॑ भ्रा॒त्राग्ने॑ दे॒वेषु॑ यु॒ष्मे । सा नो॒ नाभिः॒ सद॑ने॒ सस्मि॒न्नूध॑न् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे द्योतमान अग्नि! तुम्हारे प्रति हमारी मित्रता एवं बंधुत्व भाव कल्याणकारी हो. यह भावना देवस्थानों एवं समस्त यज्ञों में हमारा आधार हो. (८)
EN English Translation
O agni! May our friendship and fraternity towards you be beneficial. May this spirit be our basis in the devasthans and all the yagnas. (8)
