आ न॒ इन्द्रो॑ दू॒रादा न॑ आ॒साद॑भिष्टि॒कृदव॑से यासदु॒ग्रः । ओजि॑ष्ठेभिर्नृ॒पति॒र्वज्र॑बाहुः सं॒गे स॒मत्सु॑ तु॒र्वणिः॑ पृत॒न्यून् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अभिलाषाएं पूर्ण करने वाले, शक्तिशाली, युद्धस्थल में शत्रुओं का नाश करने वाले, हाथ में वज्र धारणकर्ता, प्रजाओं के पालक एवं तेजस्वी मरुतों से घिरे हुए इंद्र हमें आश्रय देने के लिए पास अथवा दूर से आवें. (१)
EN English Translation
May Indra, who fulfills desires, the powerful, the destroyers of enemies in the battlefield, the vajra in his hand, the guardian of the people and surrounded by the bright maruts, come from near or far away to shelter us. (1)
आ न॒ इन्द्रो॒ हरि॑भिर्या॒त्वच्छा॑र्वाची॒नोऽव॑से॒ राध॑से च । तिष्ठा॑ति व॒ज्री म॒घवा॑ विर॒प्शीमं य॒ज्ञमनु॑ नो॒ वाज॑सातौ ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र हमारी रक्षा करने एवं धन प्रदान करने के लिए हरि नामक घोड़ों की सहायता से हमारे सामने आवें. वज्रधारी, धन के स्वामी एवं महान् इंद्र युद्ध में उपस्थित होने के बाद हमारे इस यज्ञ में आवें. (२)
EN English Translation
Indra should come before us with the help of horses named Hari to protect us and provide us with money. Vajradhari, lord of wealth and the Great Indra should come to this yagna of ours after appearing in the war. (2)
इ॒मं य॒ज्ञं त्वम॒स्माक॑मिन्द्र पु॒रो दध॑त्सनिष्यसि॒ क्रतुं॑ नः । श्व॒घ्नीव॑ वज्रिन्स॒नये॒ धना॑नां॒ त्वया॑ व॒यम॒र्य आ॒जिं ज॑येम ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हमारे इस यज्ञ में सामने उपस्थित होकर तुम इसे पूर्ण करो. हे वज्रधारी इंद्र! शिकारी जिस प्रकार हिरणों का शिकार करता है, उसी प्रकार हम भी धन पाने के लिए तुम्हारी शक्ति के द्वारा संग्राम में विजय प्राप्त करें. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Present in front of us in this yajna and complete it. O thunderbolt Indra! Just as the hunter hunts the deer, so too may we win the battle through your power to get wealth. (3)
उ॒शन्नु॒ षु णः॑ सु॒मना॑ उपा॒के सोम॑स्य॒ नु सुषु॑तस्य स्वधावः । पा इ॑न्द्र॒ प्रति॑भृतस्य॒ मध्वः॒ समन्ध॑सा ममदः पृ॒ष्ठ्ये॑न ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अन्न के स्वामी इंद्र! तुम प्रसन्न मन से हमारे पास आओ एवं हमारी कामना करते हुए भली प्रकार निचोड़े गए नशीले सोमरस को पिओ. तुम माध्यंदिन सवन में बोली जाती हुई स्तुतियां सुनते हुए सोमरस पिओ एवं प्रसन्न बनो. (४)
EN English Translation
O Lord of the Grain, Indra! Come to us with a happy heart and drink the well-squeezed intoxicating somras, wishing us. Drink somras and be happy while you hear the praises spoken in the middle of the evening. (4)
वि यो र॑र॒प्श ऋषि॑भि॒र्नवे॑भिर्वृ॒क्षो न प॒क्वः सृण्यो॒ न जेता॑ । मर्यो॒ न योषा॑म॒भि मन्य॑मा॒नोऽच्छा॑ विवक्मि पुरुहू॒तमिन्द्र॑म् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पके हुए फलों वाले वृक्ष एवं आयुधसंचालन में कुशल युद्ध विजेता वीर के समान, नए ऋषियों द्वारा अनेक प्रकार से स्तुत एवं बहुत से यजमानों द्वारा बुलाए गए इंद्र की हम उसी प्रकार प्रशंसा करते हैं, जैसे कामी पुरुष सुंदर नारी की प्रशंसा करता है. (५)
EN English Translation
Like a ripe fruit tree and a war-winning hero skilled in ordnance, we admire Indra, who has been praised by the new sages in many ways and called by many hosts, just as the kaami man praises a beautiful woman. (5)
गि॒रिर्न यः स्वत॑वाँ ऋ॒ष्व इन्द्रः॑ स॒नादे॒व सह॑से जा॒त उ॒ग्रः । आद॑र्ता॒ वज्रं॒ स्थवि॑रं॒ न भी॒म उ॒द्नेव॒ कोशं॒ वसु॑ना॒ न्यृ॑ष्टम् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पर्वत के समान विशाल, तेजस्वी, शत्रुओं को पराजित करने वाले एवं प्राचीन काल में उत्पन्न इंद्र पानी से भरे हुए पात्र के समान पूर्ण ओजस्वी एवं वज्र को धारण करने वाले हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
As huge as a mountain, a bright, defeater of enemies and born in ancient times, Indra is about to hold the full-fledged and thunderbolt like a vessel full of water. (6)
न यस्य॑ व॒र्ता ज॒नुषा॒ न्वस्ति॒ न राध॑स आमरी॒ता म॒घस्य॑ । उ॒द्वा॒वृ॒षा॒णस्त॑विषीव उग्रा॒स्मभ्यं॑ दद्धि पुरुहूत रा॒यः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! जब से तुम उत्पन्न हुए हो, तभी से न तो कोई तुम्हें रोकने वाला है और न तुम्हारे द्वारा यज्ञों के निमित्त दिए हुए धन को कोई नष्ट कर सकता है. हे कामवर्षी, शक्तिशाली, तेजस्वी एवं बहुत से यजमानो द्वारा बुलाए गए इंद्र! हमें धन दो. (७)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Since you were born, no one is going to stop you, nor can anyone destroy the money you have given for the sacrifices. O kamavarshi, mighty, mighty and brilliant and called by many hosts Indra! Give us money. (7)
ईक्षे॑ रा॒यः क्षय॑स्य चर्षणी॒नामु॒त व्र॒जम॑पव॒र्तासि॒ गोना॑म् । शि॒क्षा॒न॒रः स॑मि॒थेषु॑ प्र॒हावा॒न्वस्वो॑ रा॒शिम॑भिने॒तासि॒ भूरि॑म् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम लोगों की संपत्ति एवं घरों को देखने के अतिरिक्त राक्षसों द्वारा रोकी हुई गायों को छुड़ाते हो. हे इंद्र! तुम नेता के समान प्रजाओं का शासन करते हो एवं युद्ध में प्रहारकर्ता हो. हमें विपुल धनराशि दो. (८)
EN English Translation
O Indra! In addition to seeing people's property and homes, you rescue cows held up by demons. O Indra! You rule the same people as the leader and are the aggressors in war. Give us huge sums of money. (8)
कया॒ तच्छृ॑ण्वे॒ शच्या॒ शचि॑ष्ठो॒ यया॑ कृ॒णोति॒ मुहु॒ का चि॑दृ॒ष्वः । पु॒रु दा॒शुषे॒ विच॑यिष्ठो॒ अंहोऽथा॑ दधाति॒ द्रवि॑णं जरि॒त्रे ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अतिशय बुद्धिमान् इंद्र किस प्रजा-शक्ति से युक्त हैं? महान् इंद्र अपने बुद्धिबल से ही बड़े-बड़े कामों को पूरा करते हैं. वे यजमानों के बड़े-बड़े पापों को नष्ट करने के साथ-साथ स्तुतिकर्तताओं को धन देते हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
The most intelligent Indra is possessed by which people's power? The great Indra accomplishes great things with his wisdom. They destroy the great sins of the hosts as well as give riches to the praises. (9)
मा नो॑ मर्धी॒रा भ॑रा द॒द्धि तन्नः॒ प्र दा॒शुषे॒ दात॑वे॒ भूरि॒ यत्ते॑ । नव्ये॑ दे॒ष्णे श॒स्ते अ॒स्मिन्त॑ उ॒क्थे प्र ब्र॑वाम व॒यमि॑न्द्र स्तु॒वन्तः॑ ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हमारी हिंसा मत करो, हमारा पोषण करो. जो विपुल धनराशि हव्यदाता को देने के लिए है, वह हमें दो, क्योंकि हम तुम्हारी स्तुति करते हैं. इस दानयोग्य एवं प्रशंसनीय यज्ञ में हम तुम्हारी भली प्रकार स्तुति करेंगे. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Don't do us violence, nurture us. Give us the abundant money that is meant to be given to the giver, for we praise you. In this charitable and praiseworthy yajna, we will praise you well. (10)
नू ष्टु॒त इ॑न्द्र॒ नू गृ॑णा॒न इषं॑ जरि॒त्रे न॒द्यो॒३॒॑ न पी॑पेः । अका॑रि ते हरिवो॒ ब्रह्म॒ नव्यं॑ धि॒या स्या॑म र॒थ्यः॑ सदा॒साः ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! जिस प्रकार जल सरिता को पूर्ण करता है, उसी प्रकार तुम पूर्ववर्ती ऋषियों की तथा हमारी स्तुतियां सुनकर उन्हें स्वीकार करो एवं हमारा अन्न बढ़ाओ. हे हरि नामक घोड़ों के स्वामी इंद्र! हमने तुम्हारे निमित्त नवीन स्तुतियां बनाई हैं. हम रथ के स्वामी एवं तुम्हारे सेवक बनें. (११)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Just as water completes the stream, so listen to the praises of the previous sages and our praises and accept them and increase our food. O Lord indra of horses named Hari! We have made new praises for you. Let us be the masters of the chariot and your servants. (11)
