कया॑ नश्चि॒त्र आ भु॑वदू॒ती स॒दावृ॑धः॒ सखा॑ । कया॒ शचि॑ष्ठया वृ॒ता ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सदा बढ़ते हुए, पूजनीय एवं मित्ररूप इंद्र किस तर्पण के कारण हमारे सामने आएंगे? वे किस विचारपूर्ण कर्म के कारण हमारे अभिमुख होंगे? (१)
EN English Translation
For what reason will Indra, as ever-growing, revered and friendly, come before us? Because of what thoughtful deeds will they be facing us? (1)
कस्त्वा॑ स॒त्यो मदा॑नां॒ मंहि॑ष्ठो मत्स॒दन्ध॑सः । दृ॒ळ्हा चि॑दा॒रुजे॒ वसु॑ ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! पूजनीय, सत्य एवं अतिशय मदकारक कौन सा सोमरस तुम्हें शन्रुओं का धन नष्ट करने के लिए प्रमुदित करेगा? (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Which somras will make you happy to destroy the wealth of the Shanrus, the revered, the truth, and the most powerful? (2)
अ॒भी षु णः॒ सखी॑नामवि॒ता ज॑रितॄ॒णाम् । श॒तं भ॑वास्यू॒तिभिः॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम मित्ररूप स्तोताओं के रक्षक बनकर अनेक प्रकार से रक्षा करते हुए हम लोगों के सामने आओ. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You as protectors of friendly hymns and come before us in many ways, protecting us. (3)
अ॒भी न॒ आ व॑वृत्स्व च॒क्रं न वृ॒त्तमर्व॑तः । नि॒युद्भि॑श्चर्षणी॒नाम् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम हम सेवक लोगों की स्तुति से प्रसन्न होकर हमारे चारों ओर गोल चक्कर के रूप में स्थित रहो. (४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! May you be pleased with the praise of us servants and situated around us as roundabouts. (4)
प्र॒वता॒ हि क्रतू॑ना॒मा हा॑ प॒देव॒ गच्छ॑सि । अभ॑क्षि॒ सूर्ये॒ सचा॑ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम यज्ञकर्म के स्थान में अपना स्थल जानकर ही आते हो. हम सूर्य के साथ तुम्हें स्मरण करते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You come to the place of yajnakarma only knowing your place. We remember you with the sun. (5)
सं यत्त॑ इन्द्र म॒न्यवः॒ सं च॒क्राणि॑ दधन्वि॒रे । अध॒ त्वे अध॒ सूर्ये॑ ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम्हारे लिए बनाई हुई स्तुतियां एवं परिक्रमाएं जब हमारे द्वारा धारण की जाती हैं, तब वे सबसे पहले तुम्हारे प्रति और बाद में सूर्य के प्रति होती हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
O Indra! The praises and circumambulations made for you, when we hold, are first of all towards you and later to the sun. (6)
उ॒त स्मा॒ हि त्वामा॒हुरिन्म॒घवा॑नं शचीपते । दाता॑र॒मवि॑दीधयुम् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शचीपति इंद्र! लोग तुम्हें धन का स्वामी, स्तोताओं को मनोवांछित फल देने वाला व दीप्तिशाली कहते हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
This is Shachipati Indra! People call you the lord of wealth, the giver of desired fruits to the hymns and the bright ones. (7)
उ॒त स्मा॑ स॒द्य इत्परि॑ शशमा॒नाय॑ सुन्व॒ते । पु॒रू चि॑न्मंहसे॒ वसु॑ ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम स्तुतिकारी और सोमाभिषवकारी यजमान को पल भर में बहुत सा धन देने वाले हो. (८)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are going to give a lot of money in an instant to the eulogist and somabishing host. (8)
न॒हि ष्मा॑ ते श॒तं च॒न राधो॒ वर॑न्त आ॒मुरः॑ । न च्यौ॒त्नानि॑ करिष्य॒तः ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! बाधक राक्षस तुम्हारी सैकड़ों संपत्तियों को नष्ट नहीं कर सकते. वे तुम्हारे शत्रुनाशक बल को भी नहीं रोक सकते. (९)
EN English Translation
O Indra! The hindering monsters can't destroy hundreds of your properties. They can't even stop your enemy force. (9)
अ॒स्माँ अ॑वन्तु ते श॒तम॒स्मान्स॒हस्र॑मू॒तयः॑ । अ॒स्मान्विश्वा॑ अ॒भिष्ट॑यः ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम्हारे सैकड़ों-हजारों रक्षासाधन हमारी रक्षा करें. तुम्हारे सभी प्रयास हमारी रक्षा करें. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Let your hundreds and thousands of defenses protect us. Let all your efforts protect us. (10)
अ॒स्माँ इ॒हा वृ॑णीष्व स॒ख्याय॑ स्व॒स्तये॑ । म॒हो रा॒ये दि॒वित्म॑ते ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम इस यज्ञ में हम यजमानों को मित्रता, अविनाशी भाव एवं दीप्तिशाली महान् धन का भागी बनाओ. (११)
EN English Translation
O Indra! In this yajna, make us hosts a partaker of friendship, indestructible spirit and glorious great wealth. (11)
अ॒स्माँ अ॑विड्ढि वि॒श्वहेन्द्र॑ रा॒या परी॑णसा । अ॒स्मान्विश्वा॑भिरू॒तिभिः॑ ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम महान् धन के द्वारा हमारी प्रतिदिन रक्षा करो. तुम अपने सभी रक्षासाधनों से हमारी रक्षा करो. (१२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You protect us daily with great wealth. You protect us with all your defense tools. (12)
अ॒स्मभ्यं॒ ताँ अपा॑ वृधि व्र॒जाँ अस्ते॑व॒ गोम॑तः । नवा॑भिरिन्द्रो॒तिभिः॑ ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम रक्षा के नवीन उपायों द्वारा शूर के समान हमारे लिए उन गोशालाओं के द्वार खोलो, जिनमें गाएं रहती हों. (१३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You, as a knight, by innovative means of protection, open to us the gates of the goshalas in which cows live. (13)
अ॒स्माकं॑ धृष्णु॒या रथो॑ द्यु॒माँ इ॒न्द्रान॑पच्युतः । ग॒व्युर॑श्व॒युरी॑यते ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हमारा शत्रुविनाशकारी, दीप्तिशाली, विनाशरहित, बैलों और घोड़ों से युक्त रथ सभी जगह जावे. उस रथ के साथ-साथ हमारी भी रक्षा करो. (१४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Let our enemy go everywhere, destructive, glorious, destruction-free, chariots full of bulls and horses. Along with that chariot, protect us as well. (14)
अ॒स्माक॑मुत्त॒मं कृ॑धि॒ श्रवो॑ दे॒वेषु॑ सूर्य । वर्षि॑ष्ठं॒ द्यामि॑वो॒परि॑ ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सर्वप्रेरक इंद्र! देवों में हमारा यश उसी प्रकार उत्कृष्ट बनाओ, जिस प्रकार तुमने वर्षा करने में सक्षम आकाश को सभी लोगों के ऊपर धारण किया है. (१५)
EN English Translation
O all-inspiring Indra! Make our glory among the gods excellent in the same way that you have put the sky capable of raining above all people. (15)
