आ तू न॑ इन्द्र वृत्रहन्न॒स्माक॑म॒र्धमा ग॑हि । म॒हान्म॒हीभि॑रू॒तिभिः॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शत्रुहंता एवं महान् इंद्र! तुम अपने महान् रक्षासाधनों को लेकर शीघ्र ही हम लोगों के समीप आओ. (१)
EN English Translation
O enemy and great Indra! Come to us soon with your great defense. (1)
भृमि॑श्चिद्घासि॒ तूतु॑जि॒रा चि॑त्र चि॒त्रिणी॒ष्वा । चि॒त्रं कृ॑णोष्यू॒तये॑ ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पूजनीय इंद्र! तुम भ्रमणशील होते हुए भी हमारे अभीकष्टदाता हो. तुम विचित्र कर्मो वाली प्रजा की रक्षा-हेतु धन देते हो. (२)
EN English Translation
O revered Indra! You are our defaulter, even though you are traveling. You give money to protect people with strange deeds. (2)
द॒भ्रेभि॑श्चि॒च्छशी॑यांसं॒ हंसि॒ व्राध॑न्त॒मोज॑सा । सखि॑भि॒र्ये त्वे सचा॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! जो यजमान तुम्हारे साथ मिल जाते हैं, तुम उनके ऐसे महान् शत्रुओं को भी अपनी शक्ति से समाप्त कर देते हो जो घोड़े के समान उछलते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! The hosts who join you, you also destroy with your power the great enemies of them who jump like horses. (3)
व॒यमि॑न्द्र॒ त्वे सचा॑ व॒यं त्वा॒भि नो॑नुमः । अ॒स्माँअ॑स्मा॒ँ इदुद॑व ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हम यजमान तुम्हारे साथ संगत हैं. हम तुम्हारी पर्याप्त स्तुति करते हैं. तुम हमारी भली प्रकार रक्षा करो. (४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! We host are compatible with you. We praise you enough. You protect us well. (4)
स न॑श्चि॒त्राभि॑रद्रिवोऽनव॒द्याभि॑रू॒तिभिः॑ । अना॑धृष्टाभि॒रा ग॑हि ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वज्रधारी इंद्र! तुम मनोहर, अनिंदित एवं दूसरों द्वारा आक्रमणरहित रक्षासाधनों को लेकर हमारे सामने आओ. (५)
EN English Translation
O thunderbolt Indra! You come before us with charming, unsimpressed and uninvaded defense tools by others. (5)
भू॒यामो॒ षु त्वाव॑तः॒ सखा॑य इन्द्र॒ गोम॑तः । युजो॒ वाजा॑य॒ घृष्व॑ये ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हम तुम जैसे गोस्वामी के मित्र हैं. हम पर्याप्त अन्न पाने के लिए तुम्हारे साथ मिलते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
O Indra! We are goswami's friends like you. We meet with you to get enough food. (6)
त्वं ह्येक॒ ईशि॑ष॒ इन्द्र॒ वाज॑स्य॒ गोम॑तः । स नो॑ यन्धि म॒हीमिष॑म् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! एकमात्र तुम्हीं गायों से युक्त धन के स्वामी हो. तुम हमें अधिक मात्रा में अन्न दो. (७)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You alone are the owner of wealth consisting of cows. You give us more food. (7)
न त्वा॑ वरन्ते अ॒न्यथा॒ यद्दित्स॑सि स्तु॒तो म॒घम् । स्तो॒तृभ्य॑ इन्द्र गिर्वणः ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तुति योग्य इंद्र! जब स्तोताओं की स्तुतियां सुनकर तुम उन्हें धन देना चाहते हो, तब तुम्हारी अभिलाषा को कोई भी बदल नहीं सकता. (८)
EN English Translation
O praise worthy Indra! When you hear the praises of the psalms and want to give them money, no one can change your desire. (8)
अ॒भि त्वा॒ गोत॑मा गि॒रानू॑षत॒ प्र दा॒वने॑ । इन्द्र॒ वाजा॑य॒ घृष्व॑ये ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! गौतम नामक ऋषि ने धन एवं अधिक मात्रा वाले अन्न को पाने के लिए वाणी दवारा तुम्हारी स्तुति की. (९)
EN English Translation
O Indra! The sage named Gautama praised you through speech for getting wealth and high-grain. (9)
प्र ते॑ वोचाम वी॒र्या॒३॒॑ या म॑न्दसा॒न आरु॑जः । पुरो॒ दासी॑र॒भीत्य॑ ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुमने सोमरस पीने के कारण प्रसन्न होकर आक्रमणकारी असुरों के नगरों में जाकर उन्हें भग्न कर डाला. हम तुम्हारी उसी शक्ति का बार-बार वर्णन करते हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Pleased with drinking somras, you went to the cities of the invading asuras and broke them down. We describe your same power over and over again. (10)
ता ते॑ गृणन्ति वे॒धसो॒ यानि॑ च॒कर्थ॒ पौंस्या॑ । सु॒तेष्वि॑न्द्र गिर्वणः ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तुतिपात्र इंद्र! तुमने पूर्वकाल में जिन कठोरतापूर्ण कार्यो का प्रदर्शन किया था, सोम निचोड़ने के पश्चात् विद्वान् लोग उन्हीं का वर्णन करते हैं. (११)
EN English Translation
O you of praise Indra! The harsh work you performed in the past, after squeezing the soma, the scholars describe them. (11)
अवी॑वृधन्त॒ गोत॑मा॒ इन्द्र॒ त्वे स्तोम॑वाहसः । ऐषु॑ धा वी॒रव॒द्यशः॑ ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! स्तोत्रों को वहन करने वाले गौतमवंशीय ऋषियों ने तुम्हें अपनी स्तुतियों द्वारा बढ़ाया है. तुम इन्हें पुत्र-पौत्र वाला अन्न दो. (१२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! The Gautama dynastic sages carrying the hymns have exhorted you by their praises. Give them son-grandson's food. (12)
यच्चि॒द्धि शश्व॑ता॒मसीन्द्र॒ साधा॑रण॒स्त्वम् । तं त्वा॑ व॒यं ह॑वामहे ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! यद्यपि तुम बहुत से यजमानों के साधारण देव हो, फिर भी हम तुम्हें बुलाते हैं. (१३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Even though you are the ordinary god of many hosts, we still call you. (13)
अ॒र्वा॒ची॒नो व॑सो भवा॒स्मे सु म॒त्स्वान्ध॑सः । सोमा॑नामिन्द्र सोमपाः ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यज्ञ में निवास करने वाले इंद्र! तुम इन यजमानों के सामने आओ. हे सोम पीने वाले इंद्र! तुम सोमपरूपी अन्न से प्रसन्न बनो. (१४)
EN English Translation
O Indra who dwells in the yajna! You come before these hosts. O Som drinker Indra! You be pleased with the somaparupi food. (14)
अ॒स्माकं॑ त्वा मती॒नामा स्तोम॑ इन्द्र यच्छतु । अ॒र्वागा व॑र्तया॒ हरी॑ ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम स्तुतिकर्तताओं की स्तुतियां तुम्हें हमारे पास लावें. अपने हरि नामक दोनों घोड़ों को हमारे सामने लाओ. (१५)
EN English Translation
May we bring you the praises of the praises of the praises to us. Bring before us both your horses called Hari. (15)
पु॒रो॒ळाशं॑ च नो॒ घसो॑ जो॒षया॑से॒ गिर॑श्च नः । व॒धू॒युरि॑व॒ योष॑णाम् ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम हमारे द्वारा पकाए गए पुरोडाश का भक्षण करो. कामी लोग जिस प्रकार नारी की बात पूरी करते हैं, उसी प्रकार तुम हमारी स्तुति सार्थक करो. (१६)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You eat the purodash cooked by us. Just as the kaamis fulfill the words of the woman, so do you make our praise worthwhile. (16)
स॒हस्रं॒ व्यती॑नां यु॒क्ताना॒मिन्द्र॑मीमहे । श॒तं सोम॑स्य खा॒र्यः॑ ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम स्तुतिकर्ता इंद्र से हजारों सीखे हुए तेज गति वाले घोड़े तथा सोमरस के सैकड़ों कलश मांगते हैं. (१७)
EN English Translation
We ask the praiseor Indra for thousands of learned high-speed horses and hundreds of somras kalash. (17)
स॒हस्रा॑ ते श॒ता व॒यं गवा॒मा च्या॑वयामसि । अ॒स्म॒त्रा राध॑ एतु ते ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हम तुम्हारी हजारों और सैकड़ों गायों को अपनी ओर आकर्षित करते हैं. हमारा धन तुम्हारे समीप पहुंचे. (१८)
EN English Translation
O Indra! We attract thousands and hundreds of your cows to you. Our money came close to you. (18)
दश॑ ते क॒लशा॑नां॒ हिर॑ण्यानामधीमहि । भू॒रि॒दा अ॑सि वृत्रहन् ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हम तुमसे दस घड़े भर कर स्वर्ण मांगते हैं. तुम हमें इससे अधिक देते हो. (१९)
EN English Translation
O Indra! We ask you for gold by filling ten pitchers. You give us more than that. (19)
भूरि॑दा॒ भूरि॑ देहि नो॒ मा द॒भ्रं भूर्या भ॑र । भूरि॒ घेदि॑न्द्र दित्ससि ॥ (२०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अधिक दान करने वाले इंद्र! हमें बहुत सा धन दो. थोड़ा मत दो. तुम हमें बहुत धन देना चाहते हो. (२०)
EN English Translation
O Indra who donates more! Give us a lot of money. Don't give a little. You want to give us a lot of money. (20)
भू॒रि॒दा ह्यसि॑ श्रु॒तः पु॑रु॒त्रा शू॑र वृत्रहन् । आ नो॑ भजस्व॒ राध॑सि ॥ (२१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वृत्रनाशक एवं शूर इंद्र! तुम बहुत से यजमानों में अधिक देने वाले के रूप में प्रसिद्ध हो. तुम हमें धन का भागी बनाओ. (२१)
EN English Translation
O vrithrashakta and shur indra! You're famous as the giver more in many hosts. You make us partakers of the wealth. (21)
प्र ते॑ ब॒भ्रू वि॑चक्षण॒ शंसा॑मि गोषणो नपात् । माभ्यां॒ गा अनु॑ शिश्रथः ॥ (२२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे बुद्धिमान् इंद्र! हम तुम्हारे पीले रंग वाले दोनों घोड़ों की प्रशंसा करते हैं. हे गाय देने वाले इंद्र! तुम स्तोताओं का नाश नहीं करते. इन दो घोड़ों द्वारा तुम हमारी गायों को नष्ट मत करना. (२२)
EN English Translation
O wise Indra! We admire both of your yellow horses. O indra who gives the cow! You don't destroy hymns. Don't let you destroy our cows by these two horses. (22)
क॒नी॒न॒केव॑ विद्र॒धे नवे॑ द्रुप॒दे अ॑र्भ॒के । ब॒भ्रू यामे॑षु शोभेते ॥ (२३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम्हारे पीले रंग के घोड़े यज्ञ में इस प्रकार सुशोभित होते हैं, जिस प्रकार दृढ़, नए एवं छोटे से वृक्ष में सुंदर कठपुतली छिपे रूप में शोभा पाती हैं. (२३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Your yellow horses adorn in the yajna in such a way that beautiful puppets are adorned in the form of a firm, new and small tree. (23)
अरं॑ म उ॒स्रया॒म्णेऽर॒मनु॑स्रयाम्णे । ब॒भ्रू यामे॑ष्व॒स्रिधा॑ ॥ (२४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हम चाहे बैल जुड़े हुए रथ में बैठकर चलें अथवा बिना उसके पैदल चलें, तुम्हारे हिंसा न करने वाले पीले घोड़े हमारी यात्रा में कल्याण करें. (२४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Whether we sit in a bull-connected chariot or walk without it, may your unprovoked yellow horses do good in our journey. (24)
